Al and Rosies B+B

Fantastic full breakfast. Loved the homemade baking that was in my room on arrival. Hosts were very friendly and responsive to all of my needs.

No body could control it, but the wet weather and the increased fuel price. I could not fault anything related to my Air B & B stay.

Al and Rosie were the most wonderful hosts ever! :-) I was warmly greeted by Al with some homemade pancakes, advice for things to see, and a tour of the room, and a even chalkboard sign welcoming me by name. Breakfasts were plentiful, expertly prepared, delicious, and fresh. Al is an amazing cook and a truly giving soul, an absolute delight, as was Rosie. They helped me prioritize destinations during a type-A roadtrip of South Island, and I am so glad I found this gem. I can't recommend this place enough! :-)

Al and Rosie were very welcoming and accommodating. They had freshly cooked pancakes on arrival tea and coffee available, and their hospitality was sensational. Would stay again.

The host, Al was absolutely helpful and obliging. Nothing was too hard and he recommended places to visit. The breakfast was great and he gave us pancakes on the 2nd night. I would absolutely recommend this place.

I made a very last minute booking for Al & Rosie's B&B and arrived shortly after my booking. Rosie and Al were very welcoming and accommodated me at a very short notice. So thankful for this. -Central and safe location in Greymouth -Lovely hosts. took time to explain everything in the accommodation. Shared local tips. -the room with ensuite was thoughtfully set up taking care of every little details. The bed/linen was top hotel grade and extremely comfortable. - Al also cooked breakfast for me the next morning and we had a great chat. - Secured parking Will definitely stay here again when i come back to Greymouth.

Great stay at Al and Rosie’s. Delicious freshly cooked pancakes when I arrived and wonderful breakfast. Lovely room with a great bed that even had an electric blanket. Very friendly couple, there is absolutely nothing I could fault. The very best place I’ve stayed in New Zealand

Great hosts, very welcoming. Cooked me a very nice full breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and room was clean. Easily one of the best B&Bs I’ve done so far.

The room was quite cold, there were a couple heaters but they weren’t quite strong enough. Wasn’t much of a problem as the electric blankets kept me very warm in bed, but it was a tad uncomfortable when trying to work at the desk.

Good breakfast, croissants the first morning which was a treat although I missed the eggs from other stays, clean room, comfortable bed, tidy bathroom, Charley the dog was cute, friendly hosts getting on with life's adventures and daily stuff

I would have liked a separate TV but that room wasn't available. Everything was good

It was a cash only payment? We ended up parking in the street because we were unsure about parking in the driveway.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts, including Charlie the dog. it was raining heavily when I arrived and Al met me at my car with a brolly (I had my waterproof on). Good sized, comfy and cosy room. Double glazed (really miss that at my home!) comfy bed. clean room and bathroom. Nice power shower. Little lounge for guests to relax if you dont want to use the comfy chair in your room. Great cooked breakfast to start the day. Tea and coffee are help yourself in the kitchen, though I just tend to have in the morning. Jug of water in bedroom.

Nothing springs to mind. Just to comment that I didnt know about the town's water issue (needed to boil before use, at the time of my visit) and I had literally refilled my water bottles, purely by chance I made a comment to Rosie, and was told. Could have been a tad awkward later! (the water situation has now been fixed)

Breakfast is great by the owner. They are so lovely preparing us the nice and easy breakfast and let us bring along cuz we have to take off to the next place a bit early. Even the room is a bit small but very comfy with a plenty of facilities we need.

Due to the room might be a bit small, so it could be difficult for the one who travel with a big luggage

An absolute delight to stay at this BnB. I can’t say muchl more than all other positive reviews I have seen that rate this stay so highly. Al and Rosie offered to meet us at the Train station but other friends decided to surprise us. A spa and cooked breakfast were bonuses and endorse our total appreciation of this stay.

Many thanks to Al and Rosie for the understanding and support given to me during my recent Motorbike rally. The stay was very comfortable. The room and facilities were very tidy and clean. A great place to stay!

An amazing and relaxing stay with Al and Rosie, who take exceptional care of both their lovely property and their guests. Al greeted me, waved me into their drive, and helped me get settled. Rosie showed me their fresh vegetable garden, and I was treated to a snack of fresh baked bread and vegetables. Every detail is attended to here, and it’s more like staying with friends than anything else. Plenty of privacy too! A real gem!

What’s not to like?

The owners Al and Rosie are golden people. So friendly and wonderful hosts. The bed was the most comfortable id slept in while travelling for work on the coast. I felt completely at home and will definitely be back.

The bed was very comfortable . The spa was wonderfully relaxing. Al and Rosie were fantastic hosts, very welcoming and attentive. They put on an incredible afternoon tea and stunning breakfast. It was a great combination of highly professional and warm and friendly. We would love to come again.

The hosts were so lovely. The breakfast was a treat and I enjoyed the spa. Al and Rosie let me use the microwave and they had some baked treats for me on arrival with fresh water and a welcome note. They offered for me to park my car and bike in their driveway and charge my ebike and were very gracious hosts.

We enjoyed getting to know Al & Rosie and their little dog, Charlie. Yummy breakfast, comfy, clean room and tips for travelling on the west coast were very much appreciated.

The host went above and beyond in making the experience very accomodating for us. It was awesome to be served breakfast and drinks.

Breakfast was great! Not just your basic Continental breakfast, which was advertised, but Rosie also made me a scrambled egg on toast. Having spent five hours mostly sitting on the TranzAlpine train I decided to walk to Al and Rosie's BnB which is a few miles, but a guest doesn't have to. They will pick you up from the train if you give them a ring. I also enjoyed playing with their cute little dog, Charlie.

What didn't I like? Absolutely nothing.

A really lovely place, Al and Rosie were very friendly and welcoming. The room and bed were comfortable and the little baked goods were an added bonus. Incredible value if you're in the Greymouth area, I wouldn't choose to stay anywhere else.

Only minor issue was the room was still quite warm when I was going to bed, but I couldn't leave the window open to cool it down as mosquitos were coming in. But I still slept fine.

Breakfast with toast and jam, muesli, homemade yogurt, fresh fruit, fruit juice, eggs if you wanted them, comfortable bed, lovely welcoming hosts. They dropped me back into town and when I left my headphones, they were kind enough to also drop those at the bus station here.

Everything.... Absolutely lovely place, from the gardens to the stunning room that was equipped with a nice shower & coffee/tea area. There were great paintings inside and nice books etc. Al & Rosie are hospitable in every way, I turned up early as I wasn't feeling 100% -very kind and helpful people. Al and Rosie’s was the coziest little bnb! Al and Rosie were beautiful and generous hosts who made us feel at home and very well looked after! Breakfast was plentiful and it was such a bonus to have a dip in the spa! Cannot recommend more highly! We loved our stay!

The distance from town meant we should have hired a car but the hosts gave us a lift until we could get one.
