My the beds and pillows in our room were very hard but we did choose a Japanese style room so to be expected.

Wonderful onsen - including outside. Friendly staff and clean rooms.

I didn’t pre- reserve breakfast and it was fully booked for the next day, on arrival.

The hotel was easily accessible and very clean. The staff was very warm and helpful. The room was very spacious and comfortable. We had a very enjoyable and restful stay. The onsen was also a plus. Parking was also available.

A bit on a pricier end but worth it. Even better if our room has nicer view of the town.

The location is extremely convenient, within five minutes of the station and close to the ski resorts. The overall experience was smooth and well-managed, which made it an easy and reassuring choice for families.

I have stayed at quite a number of Japanese onsen hotels over the past decade, across different regions of Japan. Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet the expectations set by my previous experiences. First, one of the senior front desk staff members (a female staff member) was not very friendly. I even felt that this unwelcoming attitude was directed specifically toward foreign guests, and her manner came across as somewhat arrogant. In contrast, a younger front desk staff member from Myanmar was much more courteous and genuinely service-minded. We stayed for more than 3 nights, and the housekeeping quality, particularly regarding the bed setup, was below what we would normally expect in Japan. The duvet was often not properly fitted inside the cover, giving an overall impression of carelessness. Lastly, the dinner experience at the hotel was also somewhat disappointing. It differed significantly from the traditional Japanese set meals we have experienced at other onsen hotels, while the pricing remained relatively high.

Staff is wonderful they provide attention and good service. property is close to the train station they still provide pick up service which is very helpful. Beautifully maintained property. Onsen is nice

Hot Springs were amazing, staff super friendly and willing to help us with anything we needed, and the complementary snacks and drinks were outstanding

There was tea making facilities in the room but no coffee except for in the main lounge area

Futons were thin (we’ve slept in thicker futons that are more comfortable), cleaning of rooms only happens if you ask for it, dining options in the ryokan are very expensive.

Very clean room and awesome hospitality from the staffs. Offer private onsen with a fee.

Bed and pillow are a bit hard but I do understand it's a tatami experience, so not necessarily a negative review. Just a personal preference.

Great location. The room was a really good size with a nice family area to sit at, heating was good. Very friendly and helpful staff. The onsen was wonderful. Really liked the lounge where we could relax in after dinner, and have drinks and snacks.

WiFi was weak/nonexistent in the room.

前台職員由入住到離開酒店都服務周到。剛入住時，職員會幫忙抹行李轆，再由前台開始到房間，都慢慢地介紹酒店的設施給我們認識。 酒店內有漂亮的浴衣可讓女仕們選擇更換。除了要預早預約私人溫泉外，也一定要試公眾溫泉，泉水會更熱，可抒解疲勞，還有戶外溫泉也是很舒服。 另外，酒店在特定時間有小食飲品提供，也要留意清酒放題時間，我們很可惜錯過了。 最後，真的很喜歡這間酒店，除了酒店房外景色優美，佈置也花心思外，職員服務真的滿分。因為下毛毛細雨，又有小朋友同行，臨走時職員表示可送我們到車站，真的感到很幸福。下次一定會再入住。 P.S. 在澡堂試了臉部去死皮清潔液，連我先生也讚不絕口，也覺得美容液很好用，最後臨走時，我們都在大堂買了一套。

The staff prepared a small bottle of wine for our honeymoon celebration, which was very lovely. They also provided free-flow sake and wine during specific period. The toilet is clean.

We still prefer a bed frame rather than a futon in terms of comfort.

L’hôtel est vraiment magnifique, on en prend pleins les yeux des l’entrée jusqu’a la chambre, le salon gratuit pour boire de 17h à 20h était sympathique. Le onsen privé avec deux bains intérieur et extérieur

Le petit déjeuner était trop tôt ( créneau seulement de 7h à 8h30), après c’était vraiment très complet et très bon mais pour un hôtel de ce standing c’est triste de devoir de réveiller aussi tôt en vacances pour en profiter.

Location & facility

The room was very spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the onsen was clean. I loved the ourdoor onsen with a slightly lower temperature. It was verge convenient to the train station, only a short walk with bags to the train.

There was an unexpected onsen tax of 300 yen. While the amount was small, the costume of the room per night was high, and no other hotel, even cheaper ones, have added this charge.

Booking has a problem with making sure meals are being provided and prepared. This is the third time it been a problem with the booking site

It could be me confronting different foods, but I did not like the Japanese breakfasts or the kaiseki dinner. There were too many strange flavors.

Excellent service by the staff. The size of the room. The fantastic onsen . Plenty of restaurants to choose from close by. Near the rail station. Shuttle was very helpful for our luggage.

The space is very inviting. I loved that they supplied a kimono for me to wear during my stay. The bath was delightful.

Amazing stuff, great location, beautiful scenery!!!

The location is fantastic, just 5 minutes walk from Echigo-Yuzawa shinkansen train station and 5 min walk to Yuzawa Kogen cable car station, where one gets fabulous mountain views at the top. Once you step inside, it is a haven of peaceful relaxation with superb indoor and outdoor onsens. The lounge is a great chill-out area with a fireplace for the winter, and serves complimentary hot drinks in the morning plus sake and sparkling wine in the evening. The staff are so warm and they really made us feel like this place is our home away from home. Several restaurants just outside, plenty of food options. Next time we will try their in-house kaiseki that features local produce.

All is perfect, we are planning to come back in autumn and winter.

The Onsen was beautiful and the room was spacious.

It's my second time staying here and I can feel that the onsen bath indoor one, the temperature was too hot for me. But the outdoor one, because of the coldness outside, it was lovely.

Stay here already 3rd time over past 8-9 years. Our room is big. Very good and comfortable place. Good onsen. Nice staffs... 🤩

Tuve un problema con doble reservación y no hubo manera de resolverlo, si no reservas con anticipación el desayuno y la cena, no hay manera de que te den el servicio.

Staff and services are top notch! I was one of the best stays in Japan so far. The structure is relatively simple, but the service is so good that we felt very welcomed after our skiing trip.

The traditional style of the hotel was excellent. The whole place just oozes with relaxing vibes, the bedroom was lovely and clean - the beds very comfortable and the private Onsen is a must. Great staff too, so welcoming.

Everything about this hotel is just so relaxing. The rooms are simple, but the staff are just so attentive and the spa is sensational - especially in the snow!

The pillows take some getting used to for Westerners!

It was clean. Very cozy and quiet. Onsen was great. And the service staff could speak good English. They helped to bring our luggages into the rooms for us too. 10 min walk to restaurants and Yuzawa Kogen to play snow or ski.

The extra living room space can feel a little creepy at night.

Staff was great and warm, and spoke english well enough. Love the big japanese style room and yukatas provided. Futons were comfy and the small treats given were nice.The gardens were lovely.

Lack of convenient power points. The carpet and walls could use some upgrades as old stains were very visible. Slippers were uncomfortable for people that don't have small or narrow feet.

The hotel boasts a fantastic location, conveniently close to the station while still offering a shuttle bus service—perfect for tourists with lots of luggage. The spacious, modern Japanese-style rooms and private onsen create a truly enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Nice traditional old Japanese style stay. Though Breakfast is also traditionally Japanese style with rice! Yes morning Breakfast with rice, we still prefer bread or something light. Room extremely spacious compare to Tokyo city. Might need some renovations to upgrade tho.

The facilities are great! It’s just a few minutes walk from the station, the staff is super attentive, the food is delicious and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Totally worth it!

The Onsen was on site and very nice with outside private garden setting and 1 indoor pool. The rooms were very spacious with a nice small dining table and tea service. Great location next to train station.

The bed was a little hard

Great hospitality from the staff, always going the extra mile, my family and I had a great time. This establishment is family oriented, has great onsen and bathing facilities, everything you need for a ryokan experience. The room is traditional ( and may be slightly dated), but very well maintained and exceptionally clean.

The room was very spacious. The futon bedding was so comfortable, had really good night of sleep. Was raining on the day of check out, got a free lift to the station.

Meal plan had to book at least one day in advance (if still available), since the restaurant is small, we were too late to book anything.

Convenient location

No bath towel at the Onsen, has to bring bath towel from the room.

From the second we walking through the door we were greeted and made to feel very comfortable. The welcome matcha tea and sweets upon arrival was a pleasant surprise. All the staff were very friendly, offered great information for sights in the area, and made us feel at home. It was such a pleasant stay. The onsen baths were also very relaxing with a beautiful and spacious outdoor bath. Everything through the hotel was clean and decorated with great sense.

There was really nothing I didn’t like, except I did not get a chance to order the meals, I would like to stay again and try the food as I’m sure it will be just as amazing as everything else I experienced during my stay.
