Sehr, sehr schönes und gemütliches Zimmer in super Lage, um das Zentrum zu Fuß zu erkunden. Tolles Frühstück. Eigene, nicht einsehbare Terrasse.

Schade, dass die eigene Terrasse keinen Regenschutz hatte - so konnten wir sie weniger nutzen als gehofft und einmal klopfte nachmittags bei Regen ein Mitarbeiter an unsere Tür, um zu fragen, ob wir Tisch und Stühle ordnungsgemäß abgedeckt haben, was wir als etwas störend empfunden haben. Zimmertür wackelt bei Wind.

Una estancia fantástica Nuestra estancia fue fantástica. Las habitaciones son súper acogedoras, modernas, nuevas y, sobre todo, muy limpias. Queremos destacar especialmente la atención de Flor, la encargada del desayuno, de 10. Cada mañana nos preparaba con muchísimo cariño y atención lo que le pedíamos y siempre estaba dispuesta a recomendarnos sitios o ayudarnos con cualquier duda. También fue un detalle genial poder disfrutar del cóctel de bienvenida en otro alojamiento de la misma cadena, situado un poco más arriba. Fue espectacular y queremos destacar también la atención de Abril, que lo preparó todo de maravilla. Por último, la ubicación es inmejorable, en pleno centro, cerca de restaurantes y de todo lo necesario. Sin duda, un lugar al que volveríamos.

Staff was very helpful and polite -- went above and beyond to ensure our stay was good. Location of the hotel was perfect as was walking distance to sites and restaurants. Room was exceptionally nice with our own private patio.

Wunderschönes B&B, zentrale Lage, jedoch an einer etwas lauten Strasse. Tolles Personal und sehr gutes Frühstück. Es wurde viel Wert auf eine eigenständige, schöne Innengestsltung gelegt.

Excelente atención del personal, tanto en calidad como en actitud. El desayuno es variado y delicioso. La ubicación del hotel es muy céntrica y conveniente para salir a caminar y disfrutar el centro histórico.

The location was terrific - we could walk everywhere. Architecturally and artistically, Casa Carmen was just beautiful; the son of the owner is a locally well-known artist and guests are privileged to live with the whimsical, dreamy art. The staff was exceptionally warm and responsive to needs. And the breakfasts were healthy and delicious; there was a menu with wonderful choices.

The room was noisy with traffic and music on some nights, Saturday particularly. Dogs barked occasionally.

Petit hôtel d'une rare élégance et particulièrement raffiné. Chambre très calme à la décoration unique. Superbe prestation. Les petits déjeuners sont à la hauteur de l'ensemble, délicieux et présentés avec goût. Le personnel est souriant, très attentionné, "aux petits soins". Bref, nous avons passé un séjour particulièrement réussi.

Sehr freundliche, hilfsbereite und zugewandte Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter. Tolles Ambiente, mit künstlerischem Anspruch, sehr geschmackvoll. Das Haus hat nur 4 Zimmer, entsprechend persönlich ist das Umfeld. ( In der Stadt gibt es zwei weitere "Casa Reforma" vom gleichen Eigentümer ) Das frisch zubereitete Frühstück ist außergewöhnlich . Zocalo fußläufig gut zu erreichen. Parkplatz für den Mietwagen direkt vor der Haustür.

Leider versteckt sich die Unterkunft hinter zwei großen Bäumen. Es gibt keinen Schild / Hinweis an der Einganstür. Auch die Haunummer findet man erst nach einiger Suche hoch über der Tür.

Located walking distance to all the main attractions without being too close to the busyness of the centre. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, a supermarket and banks nearby. The staff were very hospitable and the breakfast included was delicious. The room was spacious, clean and had a comfortable bed.

Noise from the street can be loud for light sleepers but they give you ear plugs to drown it out.

You may want to bring ear plugs / loops as there can be some noise outside - but this is the fun (and point!) of Oaxaca

Great stay - our best hotel while travelling in Mexico ! The room and architecture is really beautiful ! Service is a 10/10. I can only recommend and this would be the first place I would look for if coming back to Oaxaca !

We had a room on the street and it was extremely noisy

I cannot imagine a better base for my week long course in Oaxaca. Calle Reforma was the perfect location for me between the bustle of the city centre and the barrio of Jalatlaco where I was attending a course. Easily walkable and with so many wonderful places to visit closeby it's a great spot. My room was large, pristinely clean and comfortable and the staff went out of their way to look after me, including letting me have a quick, early breakfast on a couple of days when I need to get to class early. Gustavo and the team were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I'd return in a heart beat and highly recommend this beautiful oasis of calm.

Very attentive and kind staff. I really enjoyed the spacious and clean room .The free breakfast was a nice touch and they are able to bring it into the room, which was amazing. They always clean our place super well and replenish free bottles of water which is always appreciated after a long hot day.

Not really much not to like. We had an excellent stay. If I have to pick something to improve, perhaps the coffee cups on the room could be slightly larger from espresso cups so cream can be added

Extremely noisy room - right next to the street - dogs barking, trucks and construction sounds throughout the night, no offer made to address this, they said it was out of their control, which i understand but future customers should understand that as a deep sleeper, i truly could not sleep more than a few minutes at a time, for three nights in a row which was miserable. They also confirmed multiple times that someone could pick us up early in the morning to get to the hotel and the car didn't show up. When we asked them to call to check, the car was running 25 minutes late which might have made us miss the airplane.

Great location. Really nice style/aesthetic. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast too! Pretty well insulated from noise from the street too (I'm very sensitive to noise at night and didn't have any trouble sleeping).

Pillows were quite thin and not very comfortable.

Beautiful house, decorated with stunning paintings and crafts. Location was great, and staff very kind and helpful. Since the hotel only have four rooms it’s very intimate and nice.

Clean modern room with nice terrace - walking distance to the city centre and other colourful neighbourhoods. Great breakfast - especially the grasshopper omelette. Very welcome Smart TV and Bluetooth speaker

- No heating in the rooms. Other guests also mentioned how uncomfortably cold the rooms were (at least in December) in what are essentially concrete boxes (standard Oaxacan architecture) Couldn’t understand why there wasn’t an electric heater available if the air-con unit only cooled. - Outdoor bathtub is a nice touch but took well over an hour to fill up - You had to get dressed and go downstairs to order breakfast every day - would have been better to order the night before - No lighting outside upstairs room to be able to lock and unlock door - Was harassed every time I saw any staff to pay for the room from the moment I arrived. It was all they were interested in when they had my credit card details and you can’t leave the tiny hotel without anyone noticing. Didn’t feel any sense of care just wanting my money

Casa Carmen was perfection; from the stylish Mexican aesthetic, to the excellent service, to the delicious breakfast! The location was within walking distance of all the city sights we wanted to see. The bed was comfy and the room was spotless. I would definitely stay again.

Street noise and barking dogs could be heard in the night, but ear plugs were provided, so it was no big deal.

We lived in a suite which was spacious and well equipped with basically everything we needed. We really loved the terrace and we enjoyed our breakfast there. It was great private island. We loved the bathtub in the terrace! Their bed is incredibly comfortable! The pillows too. The staff and services were amazing! We were so well taken care of! I also like their take on sustainability. It is a very boutique hotel, only 4 rooms and they do fantastic job to take care of guests the best they can.

A few things just to keep in mind: there are very few outlets in the room, so for multiple devices plan the charging :) Also there is a club outside and on Saturdays it goes until 2 AM. However hotel provides ear plugs to help the guests.

Perfect room, very friendly staff and perfect breakfast options. They really go the extra mile to make the stay most comfortable.

If you arrive by car, this might be important: The only thing I didn‘t like is that on booking it says they offer parking but they don‘t. They recommend parking places near the hotel but they are soooo pricy and we paid over 100€ for 2 nights parking. So this is the only downside when coming by car

Casa Carmen is beatiful. The nido suite is nice The only con I can say is that they should soundproof it because it's close to the street, early morning you can hear cars there is also a lot of dogs barking at night...

This was our first time in Oaxaca and honestly the hotel exceeded our expectations, if you’re looking for a true boutique hotel experience, well this is it. From the attentive staff, to all the thoughtful amenities in our room. Our room was the Suite Amador and it was beautiful. If we ever go back to Oaxaca we’ll definitely be going back to this hotel.

We loved the personalized service provided by all the Staff, they were very attentive . The room was beautiful decorated and the breakfast just delicious.

The rate offered for the transportation to the airport is outrageous. 3.5 times higher than a taxicab. Not quite a service to the guests, is it?

Absolutely fabulous boutique hotel in Oaxaca. We stayed here for 5 nights on our honeymoon and couldn't have asked for a more perfect place. The hotel has only 4 rooms, two upstairs and two downstairs. The upstairs rooms are INCREDIBLE and both have a private patio with an outdoor bathtub. The breakfast is spectacular and served on the private patio. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! In fact, we'd come all the way back to Mexico just for this hotel!

I honestly can't think of anything. Our stay was magificent.

With full time staff and only 4 rooms, we got a lot of excellent, prompt personal attention. The staff was exceedingly friendly and seeking to please. Breakfasts were outstanding too.

Only downside was that we had rain during our visit, and the patio didn't drain well and had a large puddle.
