All bookings will include a temporary membership fee per person per night. Full existing members of Hosteling Scotland and HI using these channels are not entitled to a membership refund.
Individual reservations up to 9 people can be canceled free of charge until 3 days before the arrival date. If canceled within the 3 days before the arrival, 100% of the total price will be charged.
When booking for 10 people or more, different policies and additional supplements may apply. For stays of more than 8 weeks (57 days or more) 20% of total cost, for stays of 8–4 weeks (56–29 days) 55% of total cost, and for stays of 4–0 weeks (28–0 day) 100% of total cost.
Should guests be entitled to a refund or partial refund, please note that these are processed by Hosteling Scotland National Office, Stirling. It may take 7 to 10 working days from the date of the cancelation request for the refund to be processed back onto the original card used.
Guests traveling with children must inform the property at the time of booking.
Please note that guests aged 12–15 years old are not allowed in shared dormitories without a parent or guardian of the same gender.

Reviewed Sep 5, 2026Lovely location with amazing mountain views. The hostel was very clean, warm and cosy. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Great value for money and perfect for a 1 night stay in the Highlands. Kitchen and facilities were well maintained.
Nothing really, everything was great for a youth hostel. Maybe just a bit more parking space during busy time, but not a big issue at all.

Noisy, late arrivals, people coming and going around 0330, a room right next to reception and noisy guests coming and going were not ideal. Facilities good but inadequate for the number of guests and thoroughfare of meal times - almost be better to be compulsory catered as there was not really room for people to cook concurrently. The hostel is a bit dated and run down and the village is similar.

La cocina demasiado pequeña para la cantidad de gente que mueve ese albergue, además, un poco sucia. Por lo demás todo bien, aunque los albergues escoceses me parecen un poco caros para lo que ofrecen.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026The check-in time was 9 PM, but we arrived quite late, around 11:30 PM. Despite the late arrival, the lady welcomed us very warmly and was available to assist us. The room was clean and ready for us, and the bathroom was also very clean. Overall, it’s a lovely property with great hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay! ⭐️

Though overall everything was good, but few items for hostel to consider - Bathroom flush was not very efficient, no iron board facility, no liquid soap in shower areas which is generally provided in all hostels. Could get little hot in the room during summers and we could not open the window due to the mosquitoes, but there was a net provided, however someone had taken it off in our room
