Even though we arrived late, we were warmly welcomed — it really felt like coming home. It's not just the place that makes it special, but the people. The owners are a lovely and kind family. Staying with them felt warm, cozy, and truly comfortable. Thank you for such a heartfelt experience!

Reviewed Apr 8, 2025Unfortunately I could only stay one day because the reception was wonderful. Simple room but one of the very few comfortable beds in Vietnam with a nice blanket. Free water to drink Dogs simply adorable parking for my bike hammock to relax and read and the super cheap dinner delicious. The family was super kind I feels like one more in the family.Tjank you so much!!!

The only thing we didn't like was we didn't get a key for our room. When I asked, the staff said it isn't needed as it is very safe. However, when the owner left that evening he locked his own door with a very big lock... It was a bit weird.

He took us around the city and made us feel very comfortable. If you would like to have beautiful homestay experience then this place is for you.

Reviewed Jan 14, 2024Our room was comfortable and clean. Nam was such a kind host, inviting us to his home to meet his family and cuddle the newborn puppies. We went out for a beer and had a good chat. Yet we were able to get back to the room quite early in order to rest. If we're in the area again, we will come back!
As mentioned in previous comments, the adress on Booking took us down another side street. It's close but can be confusing when arriving in the dark. Typing the name of the homestay in Google Maps seemed to give us more accurate directions.

Following google maps the way is a bit difficult to find - there is a more direct way from the bigger street. People shouting and scooters leaving in front of the room in early morning.

Nam gave us tips on the local area and told us about the upcoming full moon festival (which we attended and was great!). Nam also invited us to join him for a drink and to attend various family events, providing a great local experience. Thank you so much to Nam and his family for the warm welcome to your home!

Reviewed Apr 14, 2023This is a REAL homestay, you are given the opportunity to see how a typical middle class Vietnamese family lives. Children coming back from school, tea break, cooking and eating together, and ask questions because Nam, your host, has a very good English! Most homestays are reduced to "hello, thank you, goodbye" unfortunately because their English isn't so good, I really appreciated this opportunity. Nam is also a motorcyclist regularly exploring the North and can help you plan your travel, places to see, beautiful roads to take, other homestays recommandation... Your (private) room has a fan and AirCon/heater combo, a shared shower-toilet combo for the night accessible to guests, before night they let you use their shower.
Nothing! But I'd like to avoid the wrong people to come here with wrong expectations and give bad review: - They have 7 dogs, all very cute but some people have issues with allergies? - Your room is 5 meters from the living area, so you will hear the family live, going to sleep and wake up early. - The area isn't easy to access, but it's a quiet neighborhood. Do NOT try to come here from other streets! No shortcut, take the little alley going straight from the street(Thong Nhat) until you reach the big metal gate, see my picture minimap.

Reviewed Mar 5, 2023Nám helped us a lot during our stay in Thai Nguyen. He is a very nice and helpful person. He rents scooters, speaks good English and is very resourceful.. He has a lovely daughter as well.
We had a room in a place close to his homestay. Nobody speaks English there, you have to contact Nam for translation or use google. The bed was extremely hard and the bathroom not very clean, with broken facilities. It is a cheap stay for one or two nights max.

We had Bia fresh out of a local brewery and tasted Thai Nguyen's finest green tea! Thank you Nam for everything you did for us!
