Overall, Izla Hotel is a solid value for the price. The property is beautiful, clean, and very well-maintained. We rented a golf cart every day, and I'm glad we did—without it, we probably would have gotten bored since we found ourselves leaving the resort often. The biggest disappointment was the food. Although the hotel advertises two restaurants, only one was open each day during our five-night stay. I'm not a foodie, so it wasn't a dealbreaker for me, but my husband was very disappointed by the limited options. We ended up eating off property for many meals, and in hindsight, I wouldn't pay for the all-inclusive package again. The poolside menu was a nice convenience, though. At this price point, I think expectations should be realistic—you can't expect luxury dining at a budget-friendly resort. I am not sharing this to complain, but rather to inform people of the reality of the resort. The beach was decent, although the neighboring Hotel Belo seemed to do a better job managing the seaweed. We also had to go next door for massages because the spa was closed when we wanted appointments. The adults-only pool was beautiful and peaceful, but it was always empty, and I never saw the pool bar open. On the positive side, the staff was friendly, especially Jesus, who provided outstanding service. My kids also loved the pizza when it was available, though it was frequently unavailable. Would I stay here again? Probably not but only to try something new. But if you're looking for a clean, attractive hotel at an affordable price, I would recommend.

It's worth knowing that the hotel is in the middle of refurbishment work, so it is less busy than usual (a big plus for the pool), but some of the facilities are not up to the standard you'd expect for the price, eg the gym. Food and drinks are pricey for what you get. The rooms are comfortable, super clean with great air con. The whole place is redeemed by the fantastic staff who were really kind and helpful, especially Noemi in the cafe/restaurant. We were really glad not to be all-inclusive as there are some great places to eat at low prices a short taxi ride away in La Gloria. The hotel is tucked away on a quiet corner of Isla Mujeres - if you're comparing it with options in Cancun then we'd really recommend the Isla - safe and really friendly and beautiful.

We are experienced, frequent travelers. I’d rate overall 4 night experience here just above poor at a 2.25. We had an oceanfront Junior suite with balcony and double beds. VERY LOUD…be forewarned. It may be on the quieter side of the island, but the resort itself is LOUD. I hated it! I like to hear the birds, ocean waves, and palm trees swaying in the breeze, not booming music from 9am until 10pm. Spoiled the trip for me. There was one open restaurant during our stay, the Izla Cafe restaurant, which has a more limited menu and is pricey for the tiny portion sizes. I’m not a big eater but I found sizes very small. French toast consisted of one slice of bread. Waitor spilled my drink and did not give me a new one or offer an additional drink to make up for what was spilled. I had to buy another. Wait staff just did not seem friendly or appreciative. And we are tippers. So there’s that. Housekeeping would not provide an extra bath towel and no hand towels or washcloths. I asked and I received two old yellow cleaning rags for washcloths. Shower is large but due to low profile to the rest of the floor, I after leaks out onto the bathroom floor. Additional towels are needed to block water leaking and to clean up wet floor. And we tipped every time room was cleaned, so it’s not due to a lack of gratuity. It’s very humid so you need a couple backup towels, but good luck getting them even after requesting. They never replaced the tiny soap bars and we had to use little sliver of remaining soap. I found I had to ask for things that just should be provided to show guest attention and comfort. But no. Whatever the tile floors are cleaned with leave behind an oily, slippery, wet film, which feels slimy on bare feet. To get anywhere, you’ll need to rent a golf cart which is $100 for 24 hours. That price is double what it cost two years ago. We had hour massages which I also found basic. It was just A LOT of little things that started adding up to a stay that did not match the cost. We spent some money here and for what we spent, I feel we should have received more than the bare minimum and should have been much more satisfied. I would not recommend Izla Hotel or stay here again.

Our favorite part about this hotel was the staff! The service the staff provided was truly exceptional. The pools are second, loved the rooftop pool.

Our room had a very pungent mildew smell that just lingered the whole time we were there. It was very unpleasant and disappointing. They did try to solve the issue but the solution didn’t really work.

The best part of this hotel are the staff. Wonderful attentive and efficient staff especially “Reyes” from the pool bar. Gerardo is also good as well as Noemi from the cafe and Carolina at the front desk.

Een heerlijk rustig hotel met een prachtig strandje. We hebben ook een gratis yoga les op het strand gehad en dat was ook super! Het personeel was ook enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Alles was prima. Wij hadden verwacht dat de locatie best afgelegen zou zijn, maar met het golfkarretje dat we hadden gehuurd konden we makkelijk heen en weer naar het centrum en andere bezienswaardigheden!

To start out, the front desk (check in) with Anna Rosa and Elias was very welcoming, plus informative. On the food and beverage side, we decided to purchase a romantic sunset dinner on the beach. Efrain and Jimmy made it very special and very awesome. Jose Maria and Obdulio (Papi Chulo) are tremendous at the bar and all-around. The staff members are great at Izla, and we liked the location. We were there celebrating our anniversary and it our first time at the island, which was very memorable. We very much appreciated the staff and our experience. We also enjoyed the sky lounge (SL) pool.

It was very strange for me to arrive at a supposedly 5-star all-inclusive hotel but there isn't even a small refrigerator in the room. There is a dining room but there isn't much choice and sometimes instead of a buffet there is a menu and it takes a long time for the food to arrive, the staff tries very hard but apparently that's the atmosphere of the place where you have to enjoy and take your time. There is no coffee machine so I didn't have a good coffee for the morning. The hotel is a bit far from the center but even in Isla you have to rent a golf cart

Veldig koselig og rolig sted, personellet var veldig hyggelige og serviceinnstilte. Rommet var stort og fint, med utsikt over bassenget og stranda.

De har en policy på å automatisk legge til 15% tips på alt du kjøper på stedet. Stranden var liten og veldig fin, men ikke så god å bade på da det var masse sjøgress og tang, som gjorde at mange ikke turte å vasse utover. Maten var ok, noe var veldig bra, mens andre retter kunne vært bedre.

This is the worst hotel we stayed at in Mexico. No room service with all inclusive. No laundry service. Beach is all weeds and grass. Cheap quality alcohol, if you want a shot of premium tequila it’s $10 and that’s with 50% discount for all incisive package. Margaritas taste like water. Only one working restaurant. Breakfast buffet has a limited food selection. Limited menu for lunch and dinner. The only good thing is that people working at this hotel are nice and welcoming. Will not be coming back here.

Virgilio was excellent, he made our stay very special. He was attentive and went above and beyond every time that we saw him. He took time to learn all of our names and made the stay very special. We also want to recognize Obdulio, Jesus, Reyes, Carlos, Adrian and Jose Luis, Ana Rosa, and the rest of the service staff. The treatment they gave us was outstanding and made our stay as memorable as it could be. Thank you to the service team, you are amazing.

No wifi, no tv, no fridge, damp sheets , not the greatest for sleeping. Found a 2 inch cockroach in our room. I squashed the cockroach, wrapped it in a paper towel, and presented it to the Front desk staff who were very indifferent and unapologetic to the situation.

I found the hotel to be clean and safe. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Bartender, Adrian Reyes, was a standout. He was fun and always remembered your name and your drink.

Loved the location, the room, and the staff. Out of my 17 trips to Quintana Roo this staff was the most helpful and the kindest yet. Can't wait to visit again. See y'all soon!

We cannot say enough great things about The Izla Beach Front Hotel. Even before we arrived, they were very helpful & quick to respond to our requests for assistance . They helped arrange airport-ferry-hotel transportation and, after we experienced several flight delays, they were gracious enough to communicate with the shuttle service about our changes in arrival time. Once we arrived, the beauty of the hotel and its location were immediately evident. Perfectly positioned towards the southern end of the island, away from the busier northern end, we felt at peace right away. We highly recommend the all-inclusive package if you plan on sticking around the hotel for most of your trip as we did. It was well worth it. This brings us to our favorite part of our vacation: The hotel staff. Always pleasant; always friendly. They made us feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. Something we haven’t experienced much even traveling domestically. We honestly can’t say enough about them. We wish we could remember all of their names, but frequency brings memory. At breakfast and lunch, Crisandra & Sharon greeted us as we entered the Izla Cafe. Upon being seated, we were once again welcomed by Gerardo, Carlos, Rodrigo, or Russel, but usually all four. They greeted us like old friends each time. In the evening, Jose Luis was there to make sure our dinner needs were met. Speaking of needs, our new friends Virgilio & Reyes were more than happy to oblige ours at the poolside bar. They gladly treated us to non-alcoholic drinks that delighted our taste buds while providing the refreshment and tropical feeling we needed. We can’t wait to return.

Atmosphere is awesome! Jose Mario the bartender by the pool had amazing customer service and drinks!! We took his mixology class and had a blast 10/10 recommend!

Bon hôtel situé à 5 km du débarcadère. Taxi 150 pesos mexicain. Hôtel propre, belle piscine. Service All Inclusive de qualité satisfaisante. Personnels très agréables. Parties communes très propres et bien entretenues. Très jolie vue pour les repas en extérieur.

Matériaux dans la chambre contrastent un peu avec la qualité des parties communes. Odeur d'humidité assez forte dans la chambre.

Isla Mujeres is amazing! Large rooms, but fridges are not included unless you ask. We asked, still didn't get one. Restaurant staff was pretty good. Taxis always available. Very quiet part of the island, and quiet hotel. Price is good.

This beach is not swimmable, it's muddy and smelly. Bar staff ranged from okay to downright rude who ignore you for as long as they can. Room cleaning never stocked the full set of towels, over days.

המלון הכי נוראי שהיינו בו עד עכשיו בירח דבש שלנו, לא יודעים על מה כל הביקורות הטובות. הסדינים מלוכלכים, האוכל בארוחת בוקר מזעזע אפילו לא אכלנו שם וסתם שילמנו כסף מזעזע, אין קפה אפילו גם, הבחורה במסעדה החמיצה לנו פנים כשבעלי לא הבין מה היא אמרה כי הוא לא דובר את השפה ודיברה בזלזול והתנהגה מגעיל ממש, לא הציעו לעזור לנו עם המזוודות לקחת לחדר, ביקשנו בגלל שאני סוכרתית לשים 2 קרחונים במקפיא אצלהם עד הצ׳ק אאוט, אני מדברת ספרדית שוטפת ככה שאני מבינה ויודעת לדבר ומבינה הכל- ביקשתי בפירוש מקפיא כי אני חייבת את זה קפוא לכל הטיסות והמעברים עם כל התרופות שחייבות קירור כולל אינסולין- בקבלה אמרו בטח אין בעיה הדגשתי שוב ושוב שזה חייב מקפיא אמרו לי אין בעיה- בצ׳אק אאוט הביאו לי את זה קריר נוזלי ושאלתי מה קרה אין מקפיא? מה אני עושה עם זה עכשיו איך זה יקרר לי את התרופות? הכל יילך לפח אותו הבחור שלקח את זה ממני בצ׳ק אין אמר לי שאין להם מקפיא ושמו רק במקרר- הסברתי שזה לא מה שהוא אמר לי בצ׳אק אין והוא שיקר לי. שירותי מזעזע תודעת שירות מזעזעת, לא נתקלנו עוד במלון כזה מזעזע. לא ממליצה לזרוק את הכסף שלכם על המלון הזה. ובטח שלא על עובדים כאלה.

Lovely pool, very clean rooms. Cleaning and front desk people were very nice.

Restaurant staff had very inflexible rules. Made us feel like criminals when asked for a couple of bowls and spoons to eat yogurt in our rooms. The grill area was very smokey and prevented one from eating at the few outside dining tables facing the water. Music was blasting from mid-morning to late night at the pool/beach area could be heard from all corners of the property, not allowing for one to relax on their porch. The music was very repetitive and uninspired. Although the room was clean, there was an extremely heavy smell of cleaning agents after each cleaning. Had to open front and patio doors to air it out. Liked the quiet part of the island, but would’ve appreciated option of bike rentals as it was a bit isolated. Very few dining options around.

Struttura molto grande ben tenuta direttamente sulla spiaggia. Camera spaziosa con un grande terrazzo sulla piscina davvero bella.

25 euro a testa per la colazione mi sembra un po' eccessivo. Per farla fuori ci vuole lo scooter perché i posti sono lontani per andarci a piedi. La musica nella zona piscina/spiaggia ha un volume un po' troppo alto a mio gusto.

The beach, unfortunately not very good for swimming- I had an impression that all building "rubbish" was left behind on the bottom of the sea.

After i checked in with my credit card, my information was leaked and i started receiving charges.

The staff, the grounds and pool, it’s in a quieter location but still only a short golf cart ride to the main strip. The hotel upgraded us to an ocean view room and that was amazing.

We only ate once at the restaurant and it was ok, but certainly not the best I’ve eaten.

I thought the staff was very nice and helpful, the staff is what made our stay so nice.

The beach was pretty unusable, I was led to believe we could snorkle off the beach but not only was this not the case but there really wasn't much beach there at all. There are also no refridgerators in the room so my husband and I had to buy a cooler at a department store to keep our drinks cool. They also rented golf carts but you could only pay in cash so we ended up rented from an outside source. Lastly on our last few days they seemed to have run out of clean towels so we said we would be fine using beach towels.

We like everything except for the food. Need better breakfast if you are going to charge high price. Menu options are limited. Drinks need to be mixed better for the price. You will sell more if you hav better food & drinks. Also, need more than 2 bottles id water for the room pricing.

Another great stay at Izla Hotel. The service is first-rate and the location is amazing. Best hotel on the island! Beach is nice, pool is amazing, and the staff have become good friends.

The staff is rude, unprofessional, non organized. Through our stay the hospitality was horrible. For snack bar on the beach it took over an hour to get our food our waiter Reyes was rude and only giving us excuses and he even kicked the bar stand out of frustration. Also the bar man Virgilio ignored us for drinks. We were also not informed we had to reserve dinner and beach tables for New Years Eve, we felt casted out as hotel guests. We spoke to the manager that the front desk told us it was general public for the beach area to celebrate New Years Eve, we were kicked out by staff. The manager came to set us up a table and he never returned and passed us a few times through the night and ignored us. For breakfast the waiters ignored us asking them multiple times for simple stuff like silverware, also if you pay in cash, you have to go to the hotel front desk because they don’t have a cashier. Also, my mother in law fell down the ramp outside of the breakfast cafe and they brushed it off and only gave her pain relief cream. They need to have grips on their ramps so people won’t slip. Overall it was a horrible stay and dealing with the staff was frustrating. For a being a 4 star hotel it felt like a 2 star. Not a single staff member gave us good service.

Very nice hotel, well maintained. Two pools, one for children and one for adults. The beach is a bit small and you can’t really swim, but the views are amazing. Services are medium: the second restaurant was always closed, massages were way more expensive then on the menu and bar staff was unfriendly. Waiters in the other restaurant (also at breakfast) were very kind.

My first trip to Isla Mujeres was from late dec. to New Year’s Day. I stayed here with my sister, brother in law, and mother. We did not opt for the All inclusive package because we wanted to experience authentic cuisine on the island. The facilities were always clean - both pools were incredible. The only thing I have to complain about is the towels. Pool towels were somewhat impossible to find and not readily available for hours at some point. Same for bath towels. We would ask for towels in our room, but some were provided only when we asked numerous times. Everyone on staff was super kind and helpful. I will say you need to travel by taxi or golf cart to get to numerous restaurants as well as some shops close to the ferry. The good thing is all taxis were only 150 pesos.
