Beautiful beach with decent snorkeling around the dock. Great breakfast and drinks. Taxi stand and golf cart rental accross the street. Amazing view from the rooftop pool. Massage on beach was wonderful (forgot her name, Tere or Trace) very sweet and skilled.

Dinner was ok, food got repetitive after a few days as there is no menu change. Our AC went out on the last night. Construction next door. Really loud music from the rooftop on the first day but didn’t hear the rest of our visit.

Room smelled like mold . Literally no separation between bed and shower , just a glass

Hôtel de belle taille avec une très belle vue depuis le SkyBar, propre et avec tous les équipements nécessaire pour passer un bon séjour.

Ambiance froide et totalement impersonnelle, comme le service. Personnel globalement correct mais sans aucune notion du service et satisfaction des clients avec la seule exception d’Hugo, un des serveurs du restaurant. Les portions du restaurant frôlaient le ridicule (quatre morceaux de fruits dans un “plat de fruits”, morceaux de viande de 4cm carrés, etc.). Service très lent dans tous les restaurants. À toute évidence, c’est un hôtel sous-staffé et le personnel n’a pas l’air de se soucier de la satisfaction des clients.

Extrem gut hat uns der Service gefallen! Ein Hoch auf Viktor, Alberto, Jorge, Denys und Arnold Schwarzenegger (you know who you are!!!) Bestes Service Team weit und breit!!! Der Zimmerservice war auch super. Die Lage des Hotels war wunderschön - nicht zu trubelig aber auch nicht komplett im Abseits. Der kleine Strand war total süß und immer sauber.

Wenn man länger als eine Woche bleibt wird das Essen irgendwann langweilig. Der Pool war manchmal etwas trübe, was vllt. daran lag, dass man einige Gäste auch im Pool gegessen haben.

Spiaggia davanti all'hotel praticamente inutilizzabile, era una pozza non una spiaggia, piscina sporca. Ho vietato a mia figlia di 3 anni di farci il bagno viste le condizioni dell'acqua

Notre expérience à l’Esplendor by Wyndham Isla Mujeres est malheureusement assez décevante. Le principal problème est l’emplacement du complexe, assez isolé par rapport aux principaux lieux d’intérêt de l’île, notamment Playa Norte. Avec des enfants, cela rend les déplacements assez contraignants. La chambre était relativement petite et plusieurs détails nous ont surpris : aucun véritable produit d’hygiène fourni par l’hôtel, des serviettes de qualité médiocre, des draps qui ne semblaient pas toujours très propres et, surtout, des oreillers qui sentaient fortement la cigarette. La climatisation fonctionnait également très mal, avec une chambre qui restait assez chaude, ce qui a rendu les nuits particulièrement inconfortables. Concernant le all inclusive, le buffet était loin d’être à la hauteur, avec une qualité assez moyenne et des horaires particulièrement limités. Il est notamment impossible d’obtenir un simple café entre midi et 16h, ce qui est assez incompréhensible pour un établissement proposant une formule tout compris. Les infrastructures extérieures nous ont également déçus : piscine pas suffisamment propre et plage peu agréable, notamment à cause des sacs de sable installés dans l’eau au niveau de l’entrée. Enfin, et c’est probablement ce qui nous a le plus marqués, le personnel manque globalement d’amabilité et de chaleur. Nous avons rarement eu le sentiment d’être véritablement accueillis ou considérés. Tous ces éléments mis bout à bout nous ont finalement conduits à écourter notre séjour de deux nuits, alors que nous avions initialement prévu de rester plus longtemps. En résumé, nous avons eu beaucoup de mal à trouver des points positifs à ce séjour. Au regard du prix et du positionnement de l’établissement, nous attendions clairement un niveau de qualité et de service bien supérieur. Nous ne renouvellerions malheureusement pas l’expérience.

I traveled with my husband and our two boys, ages 6 and 9, and I would NOT recommend Esplendor by Wyndham Isla Mujeres, especially for families. The biggest issue was the complete lack of privacy in the room. The shower is visible directly from the beds. Their solution was to put up a cheap shower curtain, but the corners were still exposed, so you could STILL see the person showering. Paola at the front desk offered to switch our room, but then explained that all the rooms have the same visible shower setup… so how exactly would switching rooms help? My husband literally had to take our boys downstairs while I showered. The towel situation was also ridiculous. Our reservation was for four people, yet they repeatedly left only 2–3 shower towels. I had to call the front desk or personally go downstairs numerous times just to get enough towels for my family. I was uncomfortable enough that we left one night early, yet both the hotel and Booking.com refused to refund our unused night. And if you’re coming here for the beach, DON’T! The hotel does not have what I would consider a real beach — it’s basically a boat dock with a muddy, grassy shoreline. There was also constant traffic from tour boats bringing day-trippers from Cancun, so the area was busy with people coming and going instead of being the peaceful beachfront experience we expected. The food was also very inconsistent. Unfortunately, I came home with a stomach bug as well. I obviously can’t say for certain where I picked it up, but it certainly didn’t help our overall experience. For what we paid, this hotel was extremely disappointing. Between the lack of privacy, ridiculous shower setup, constant towel issues, disappointing “beach,” tour boat traffic, inconsistent food, and refusal to refund our unused night, I would absolutely spend my money somewhere else on Isla Mujeres. DO NOT STAY HERE.

El hotel en general sabíamos no estaba cerca de la playa norte que es donde hay mas arena y agua transparente pero honestamente ese problema lo arreglamos usando taxis lo cual son accesibles y haciendo diario excursiones por el ahorro del precio que era alojarse ahi entonces fuimos un día al garrafón, otro día rentamos una lancha para irnos a isla contoy (muy recomendable), otro día fuimos a la misma playa norte y ahi rentamos unos camastros y sombrilla y otro día aprovechamos para rentar un carrito de golf e visitar los otros lugares de la isla como punta sur, y el centro a caminar y pasear por la noche. El hotel tiene una playa de puentes linda pero no es para snorkelear o hacer grandes distancias de nado asi que por eso conviene ir y salir a otras excursiones alrededor de la isla. La comida en general nos pareció muy bien y rica pues tienen un sistema de no poner demasiado porque si no hay muchos turistas que no comen nada y se desperdicia y el trato del personal la verdad es excelente pues nos atendieron en todo momento muy bien, bravo.

Lo que decía que no me gusto fue que el hotel no esta cerca del centro y otras areas para caminar y explorar afortunadamente ese problema lo resuelves con taxis y renta de carrito de golf pero si seria bueno que el hotel pusiera a disposición bicis o un sistema opcional de renta de carritos de golf con un mejor precio.

Really great hotel, we enjoyed our stay here and it was a perfect base for our Whale Shark watching trip the next day. Lovely main restaurant and super friendly staff in the evening and at breakfast. Nice beach area and jetty. Good pool area and great rooftop pool bar. Nice quiet location, busy day bar next door but nothing that affected our stay. We hired a golf cart so we could get around the island independently.

The all inclusive was very set to fixed hours for checking in. We couldn’t get a wrist band until 2pm on the day we arrived despite knowing that we had to check out for a trip at 7:45am the next day. It made the first food order very busy, pool restaurant staff were really stretched as everyone was super hungry from morning flight arrivals. There was no flexibility for those that might not use the all inclusive service the next day. It would have been preferable to have a door on the bathroom or just frosted screening on the shower doors for the family room - not an issue for younger children but would have been preferred for our teenagers.

The property was clean and in a great location for calm and relaxing time. The waiters at the snack bar, Mateo, and the waitstaff for dinner were wonderful.

The room flooded every time we showered. No one came to fix it even though it was reported. The A/C was not working in our room. We had no towels. The receptionist were unhelpful and seem to not care about any of the concerns we had. Said they are “not allowed to do anything”. Just a horrible experience from start to finish.

La regadera de la habitacion no tiene puertas y no es privada, me tuve que levantar en la madrugada para bañarme a obscuras o colgar una sababa para que no me vean. El agua de la alberca estaba sucia con trazas de grasa o aceite.

Buena atención del personal. Buena comida.

La playa no se puede disfrutar a pleno xq tiene barreras. Deberían de sacar eso para que pueda ingresarse perfecto.

Breakfast was OK no variety, location was OK. We rented golf carts to get around the island.

Food was limited and small portions. Ran out of beer at the bars, they only had 3 brands of beer and were always out of 1 or 2. No English speaking channels on the TV. Everything was closed by 11pm.

El lugar es muy bonito, el personal -en general- es muy amable y la comodidad de la habitación es excelente.

Como vegetariana tuve pocas opciones para elegir de comer, sobre todo en el Snack Bar (almuerzo). Además el menú de comidas no es muy variado en general, quizás sería bueno modificarlo cada cierto tiempo.

Nice beach

We arrived with a sick kid, the staff wasn't helpfull trying to let us in a room, before 15:30. The loby has no aircondition. Extremly hot. Shower is open to the room and completly see through, in a family room....

Personal in restaurant and in the pool bar was great

From the very first day of our stay, we noticed several serious issues that are simply not acceptable for a 5-star hotel > The shower enclosure was not properly sealed, causing water to leak into the room every time we took a shower. We reported the problem immediately, but it was never properly fixed, nor were we offered another room. > The door lock in our room also broke, and we had to wait for maintenance to repair it. During that time, we could not leave our room because it could not be securely locked, which was a major inconvenience. > The breakfast was extremely disappointing. The food was of very poor quality, and there was very little variety. Even the fruit selection was limited. > The rooftop swimming pool looked cloudy and dirty, as if it had not been properly cleaned or maintained. The outdoor jacuzzi was far too hot to use, almost like boiling water, which is probably why nobody was using it. > The food served at the snack bar was also below expectations. > The beach was nothing like the photos shown when booking the hotel. The water was blocked by artificial rubber barriers, creating stagnant water, and it was unclear why they were there. > There was also a clear imbalance in staffing. During breakfast and dinner there were many employees, yet at the pool bar there was only one bartender serving all guests. He was overwhelmed with orders and barely had time for a break. > One morning, there was no running water in our room at all. Although the issue was resolved after some time, it was another unacceptable inconvenience. > I would like to point out that the housekeeping staff and the restaurant employees were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the reception staff, who were unprofessional and not willing to assist us properly. > Overall, this hotel did not provide the level of quality, service, or facilities that should be expected from a 5-star all-inclusive property.

We found the man at the front reception to be quite overbearing and rude, made us feel uncomfortable

The breakfast was good, and the staff were always happy to accommodate small requests. I'd love to see options like muesli or oatmeal, along with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, but with a few adjustments the breakfast was exactly what I wanted. The location was excellent, and getting around the island was easy. The beach bar offered a great lunch selection, but mostly fried food. Salad would be highly appreciated. Dinner was the real highlight. We tried almost everything on the menu (seriously!), and every dish was outstanding. The drinks were just as memorable—I already miss the Strawberry Caipiroska and the Passion Fruit Mezcalita. A special thank you to Abdel and Matteo, who took such great care of us every day with food and drinks. My husband loves to eat, so they quickly became his best friends during our stay! Their kindness and attention made our vacation even more enjoyable. Overall, our stay exceeded our expectations, and we would happily return.

Swimming; but once we found the spot, the crystal-clear water completely changed our experience. The only downside was the water access. The sandbags make it difficult to reach the beautiful swimming area next to the pier. The swimming area next to the pier has amazing, crystal-clear water, but it's not very easy to reach at first. A simple pathway or ladder would make a huge difference. Once we found how to access, we never had an issue again. The water is so beautiful that I had no interest in using the pool; I honestly didn't even dip my feet in the big pool by the beach. Improving access to the sea would make the overall experience even better. Lunch menu needs salads.

The hotel is very comfortable and the people who work there are super polite and friendly. The food is very tasty and the drinks are perfect.

Mucho olor a humedad en las habitaciones. Obras en marcha durante nuestra estancia que no ayudó a tener una estancia del todo cómoda y agradable. Ganso/ Pato mascota del hotel que andaba suelto por la piscina (hace sus necesidades en la misma y había que tener cuidado cuando comías en la piscina). No hay buena señal Wifi, ni buen funcionamiento del aire acondicionado y ascensores. Precio elevado de los tours que ofrecen y alquiler de carro de golf. Parte de irresponsabilidad con la recomendación de algunos tours (tiburón ballena): deberían de asegurar con quien trabajan y para cuantos años es apto cada tour. Relación calidad precio: precio elevando para el servicio y las instalaciones que ofrecen.

Poca variedad de comidas

El servicio en general brindando por el personal es cordial y atento, considero que puede ser un buen incentivo una compensación extra por sus servicios, mencioné a través de la aplicación que sería cumpleaños de mi mamá, el personal decoró la habitación y en el restaurante le pusieron las mañanitas y le llevaron un pastel, fue y es un momento inolvidable, y que el personal se mostrara atento y detallistas, la verdad fue lindo. Adiciona los alimentos fueron de buena calidad y frescos, lo que diferencía de la mayoría de los hoteles con su clásico buffet que por sus grandes cantidades que preparan dejan de tener sabor y calidad.

Por comentarios del personal, así como por las fechas, es temporada baja cuando lo visité por lo que si bien tomé una promoción, considero que podrían haberme brindado una habitación con mejor ubicación, ya que me tapaba la vista la palapa del restaurante, adicional se percibía un aroma a humedad, como si no se ventilara la habitación y existian detalles de una habitación descuidada. No se si exista una diferencia con asignación de habitaciones a extranjeros y nacionales, considero que si bien es importante la visita de gente extranjera para contribuir a la economía local de la isla y por lo tanto de la gente que labora en el lugar, también la visita de nacionales es también relevante ya que existe más posibilidades de regresar por estar en el país y por las consideraciones que pueden realizar tanto el personal como con este detalle de la habitación.

The facility and food was great.

Rm 419 HVAC units in the roof of the restaurant made very noisy. Couldn’t even be in the balcony of the ocean view room :). Staff moved us to 315 which was amazing.

Location was good. Great view of the sea. Breakfast was okay. The food and coffee could be more fresh and temperature hot.

The food was good but came out warm by the time I got it at my table.

Excellent staff and service

We liked so many things about our stay there! Our family loved the quiet location on Isla Mujeres. The water at the hotel was beautiful and calm making it easy to swim or snorkel there. We thought the food was delicious, and there was a lot of variety to choose from. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Having the two pools and multiple hot tubs was nice. My sons used the fitness center each day as well. The hotel grounds and decor were lovely and well maintained. This was our first stay with an all-inclusive option, and it met all exceptions! We loved that it was small and personalized property. We didn't want the massive resort feel. Overall, we were extremely pleased and would definitely return and recommend it!

There was no dividing wall between the section of the room where the beds were and the shower area. That was very strange to have no privacy for showering. We had to take turns being in the room for showers because I have 2 teenage boys, and none of us were comfortable showering in front of everyone. I would suggest fixing that. Also, there was very little water pressure for the shower. Other than those minor issues, our stay was fabulous!

Úžasný personál, krásné prostředí a celková atmosféra ubytování nám dotvořili krásný zážitek z dovolené. ráda bych vyzdvihla ochotný a milý personál, který se o nás celou dobu úžasně staral.

Trošku nás mrzela horší možnost koupání v moři. Pláž menší, nádherná, ale vstup do moře nebyl ideální a plavání nebylo možné. Za to se i z mola dal pozorovat mořský život, hlavně v ranních hodinách.

I personally didn't like how they played upbeat music all day (a lot of EDM). It was too loud and if they felt the need to play music, I personally would have appreciated more subtle jazzy/lofi/hotel lobby type music. The bar next door was loud (also played loud music starting at 10am) and the crowds of people that arrived there also liked to take over our hotel beach Certain aspects of the hotel could use minimal maintenance (hemp string ties on balcony coming apart, stains on counter top, rip in couch)

Short staffed for sure. We had to call at least 5 times to have new towels. It’s is weird to not having a door or curtain for the shower. At least a curtain or blinds would help. Food is not 24 hrs Also hotel is actually hotel Beló, apparently it’s changing its name, but the locals know the place by hotel Belo.

La atención de todo el personal fue excelente, desde que llegamos Mateo nos recibió calidamente y el servicio de todos los meseros fue increíble, es lo mejor de la estancia.

Al hacer check out querían hacernos un cobro que correspondía a otra habitación, todo se arregló pero pudieron haberlo hecho.

Give your bellboy a raise! He always had a sweet smile each morning, and was making sure we were comfortable and didn’t have questions. The grounds were beautiful, the rooms comfortable. The beach was a slice of heaven to hang out on.

The timeframes for food were a bit restrictive. For example, after noon, our chicken nuggets and hamburger were straight outta the school lunch line. And it would’ve been ideal to have more drink and food waiters at the pool and beach.

The location was great, staff was great.

Food just ok, but biggest problem was they have 5 hot tubs all cold and we had a cold snap of weather and would loved hot tubs

People were nice most employees were really nice, drinks were good, pool was always clean as well as hot tubs, they took their time when cleaning the rooms which was nice and didnt feel rushed, they have a nice gym and the beach location was nice not crowded

No solo sus bebidas eran lindas y con buen sabor, se tomó el tiempo de saber que nos gustaba para ofrecernos bebidas a nuestro gusto. (A pesar que su barra es muy limitada)

Quiero aclarar que la atención de la mayoría del staff es muy amigable y buena. En el restaurante los meseros son muy atentos. Dicho eso, las porciones son pequeñas lo cual no esta mal ya que puedes probar diferentes platillos sin embargo pareciera que existe un poco de molestia al pedir mas de un platillo. Igual aclaro que no nos lo negaron. También la preparación y presentación de los platillos cambiaba de un día para el otro, estaría genial si estandarizaran los alimentos. Por último añ ser una habitación doble apreciaría mucho si el cristal de la regadera tuviera mas privacidad, tal vez un esmerilado.

Mateo is the most amazing guy!!! Staff was awesome and so accommodating. Food was decent. Grounds were spotless and so beautiful.

Todo super limpio y funcional, personal muy amable y predispuesto, puntos extras por el gym, muy bien equipado y la vista es increíble.

En el menú de cena las opciones vegetarianas no tienen buena proteína, solo hay una ensalada que trae 1 huevo, pero se compenza con las opciones del desayuno

Staff was amazing, property was clean and beautifully designed. The beach was quaint and quiet with great snorkelling however the beach was soft so not great for swimming. Food on this resort was more miss than hit. The snack bar was decent, and breakfast was as to be expected however we were disappointed with the Mexican cuisine. We expected great tacos and amazing options however the dinner felt frozen and not good at all really. For an all inclusive resort we wouldn’t recommend staying here for the food alone. Music was good and geared toward a younger crowd. Drinks were good. Staff was attentive and very kind

Clean, the swimming pools are amazing, the food is good, the variety of drinks is excellent. The staff is the best, always looking to help with any needs - they can arraigned transportation for you- rent a golf car from them the price is better that outside of the hotel.

I really loved my stay at Hotel Beló. Nice and relaxing beach access pool top vibes a must stay if you are in the isla Mujeres area I will definitely be returning soon

The staff here are friendly, fun, and very helpful. Belo offered perfect balance between being able to chill and relax, but with easy access to nightlife, restaurants and beautiful beaches. Definitely rent a golf cart and explore the island. Super fun. Would 100% visit here again. The food and drinks were also really good.

As soon as we arrived and until the day we left the staff was extremely hospitable and friendly. During our visit it was fairly empty because of the vacation low season but they still had all the amenities available and they were never hesitated to provide excellent service. Would highly recommend this hotel and we are looking forward to stay with them again when we get the opportunity to visit the island in the future.

Loved all of it! Delicious food options! Beautiful beach area, clean and cold rooms! Small boutique hotel but had everything we needed! Family oriented. Beautiful views from the Skybar! Pool area was great! Plenty of Bali beds! Great staff! Only thing I would request is that the Skybar stay open past 8 pm for adults to have an area to hang out late, with open bar and music. Since late night entertainment is not available , I think leaving the Skybar open a bit longer maybe even till 11 pm would be beneficial to the adult guests.

It was misleading advertisement as All Inclusive property. We paid for All Inclusive food and drinks but it’s A La Carte menu instead of buffet style. The menu has very limited choices of food and it’s the same menu everyday. Food is terrible. We booked for 6 nights but checked out after 3 days. The property has no activities for guests.

Cool place to stay at if you want quiet

This hotel design was impressive! The rooms were huge with air conditioning, good bathrooms, showers, kitchen, (we stayed in the first floor beachfront). Bed and sheets were very comfortable. Staff is great super helpful and I really enjoyed when Arnulfo was our waiter. Few things to consider, if you want only to use the pool at the hotel and you don’t care about the beach, this hotel is great. The beach is dirty, small and there is no way to swim, since there is a huge bag of sand right where the swings are. Food is good, the menu is the same daily but the food changes because they run out of ingredients. Whenever they had the right ingredients food was good, but there is no fruit offered, no pastries and there is no convenience store in the hotel. There is no activities for kids other than the pool. Next door to the hotel is a port used as a lunch stop where people come and go to a restaurant and there is a bunch of people around. I didn’t liked that. The location of the hotel is good, but since I wanted to use the beach, it didn’t worked out for us. Another thing to point out is that when you don’t speak Spanish all the people that offer services are extremely expensive. For example the taxis. Be careful and haggle for a better price otherwise they will rip you off.
