Really nice hotel clean tidy and interesting
Whilst the location is great for the town it doesn’t look the best when you approach it. Although the hotel makes the best of what it’s got.
The bath tub was the nicest part of the room (303)
Curtains falling off, untidy reception area, poor quality decor, stains on bedding, poor choice for included breakfast, location poor with homeless people in tents directly out of window, dated design very gaudy, unstocked fridge and tea/coffee making facilities, broken fan and hot room, uncomfortable mattress, staff minimal effort to rectify. Extremely extremely overpriced unaligned with quality.
The room the restaurant all excellent
They went above & beyond. So friendly & helpful. Highly recommended.
Excellent food and accommodation
Unable to secure early check in, I was attending a wedding and ideally would have got dressed in room
The breakfast the staff overseeing and the restaurant were excellent .
Not what we would call a warm welcome Bit rowdy outside our window at night
I booked this hotel for some artists travelling down from Wales. The staff were helpful and I was informed they had a comfortable stay.
The key system is rubbish as our son wen,t outside for a smoke at 5.30am and could not get back into the property until 7.30. The safe in our room did not work.
Comfortable, well-appointed room. Excellent restaurant.
Cleaness
No air conditioning
Everything
The food in the restaurant was exceptional and the rooms were amazing.
One staff member in particular was rude to my just married wife when checking in and we had to ask 4 times for jugs of water only for them to bring bottled water which we would have to pay for. We waited an hour and a half after our scheduled time to be seated at our table.
Nothing
Really comfortable luxury at a brilliant price
The room proportions are a bit small
Visited Scunthorpe to tour the steelworks by train and stayed here before. Good continental breakfast and a superb meal in the restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff.
Nothing springs to mind.
Exactly what I wanted
Atmosphere helpfulness.

Nice looking building, close to a supermarket & town.
Had to hold the lift button the whole time you are in the lift, can’t use lift after certain times. Room had dark decor, window only opened a tiny bit, it was the hottest 2 days of the year, (fan provided was rubbish)I got no sleep, no air con in rooms.it was my son wedding, we couldn’t have our dog there so had to keep going to a relatives to check on her.for the amount I paid I thought there would of been a bigger more up to date tv.
Very clean, good condition (not run down)
The lights in reception, down the corridor to the stairs are on sensors, they need to come on a few seconds earlier. No air con!! Hottest weekend of the year and the fan provided was useless.
Clean efficient and location
Nothing
Very comfortable stay, friendly staff and quality breakfast. Location is convenient for the centre of town. Would stay again.
Superb friendly staff Lovely room Food in the restauarant was exceptionak. Will definately go again. Loved the decor in the hotel and redtaurant and really enjoyed sitting in the Italian garden with a fabulous lincolnshire lemon and li.e gin and tonic.
Going home lol
The room was very clean and comfortable
They do not offer a reception desk after 6pm on Sunday or offer breakfast on a Monday in spite of a notice that clearly states they do so between 7-9 am! (It was included in the price I was charged on Booking.Com)
Recent refurbishment is successful, our room while small had all the needs for the including fresh real milk in fridge for the brew. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with fruit meats and cheeses, served by a delightful and helpful morning team. Location not in the most glamorous location but uber was handy to transport you to date.
Lovely comfortable bed Decor was tasteful Common areas nicely decorated Having a bath available was a plus Breakfast quality was great. Lovely fresh fruit and delicious coffee
Soundproofing could be better
lots of free parking on site. Room was spacious . Large comfortable bed and good selection of pillows. There was a fan and heater in the room. Tea and coffee facilities with good sized mugs and glass selection. Molton brown products in bathroom and a TV above bath. Towelling robes and slippers available. Staff contacted us prior to our stay to discuss check in options. Excellent restaurant on site with relaxing outside garden area where you could eat or relax with a drink. Breakfast offered a lovely selection of fresh fruits, yogurt toast cereal and preserves included in price. Coffee selection included latte, cappuccino etc with staff very attentive and returning to offer additional drinks. Croissants and pan au chocolates were delicious and fresh out of the oven. Usually the continental option would not be for us but it was exceptional. Staff were very friendly and welcoming with other guests seeming to be returning guests and welcomed like family. We were advised by a local that we had chosen the 'best hotel in Scunthorpe' and we would definitely agree.
Minor issues but worth a mention. Shower was very difficult to turn on and off. In fact I was unable to turn it off on the two occasions I used it relying on my husband. The dispensing pumps on the products that were available were not functioning properly only dispensing tiny amounts of shower gel and shampoo making it almost impossible to use them. Thankfully I had brought my own. The reception is not staffed but staff can be found in the restaurant if needed. There was no water in the room and this was purchased from the restaurant but was quite expensive £4+ for 750ml bottle. Hairdryer was dated and had no nozzle but was still available.
The bed was very comfortable, the food was amazing, and the staff where very welcoming.
Nothing, although the food is premium so is expensive, note this before staying if your on a budget.
Always like staying here it’s nice comfortable hotel in a good location
Only a couple of small things there was only one bottle of water in the room for 2 guests and also do not supply decaf coffee
Excellent breakfast. Very comfortable room.
Close to station, very nice room, quiet, great restaurant, very friendly staff.

It was just perfect
Nothing
A " boutique" style room .very comfortable !
glass door on the bathroom/toilet
Great value for money. Clean, good parking & lovely staff. Very accommodating & the restaurant is fabulous.
It’s on the edge of an industrial estate which is never ideal, however the facilities kind of offset that.
Everything
N/A
The hotel and restaurant were not a reflection on the location around it. The hotel was one of the best i've stayed in, and at only a few pounds more than the premier inn, it was a lucky find! The bedrooms were up to standard, cosy, with Molton Brown soap/lotions, the tea/coffee facilities were extensive and good quality too. Everything was clean and worked as it should
there wasn't anything I didn't like.
This is a lovely property in Scunthorpe. Great rooms and well equipped. Good continental breakfast with a small extra fee for a cooked breakfast.
Pillows very soft for me, but were ok
Central to centre of Scunthorpe, and Becky who did breakfasts and housekeeping both friendly and helpful
No heating in room for 3 days, original greeting was poor and difficult even though I had arranged an early check in as travelling from Europe , outside areas need a bit of TLC
الهدوء و الراحة
بعيد قليلا عن وسط المدينة
Well located, clean place and good space
I went on a Sunday and no one was there to check me in. The instructions they gave me were wrong and I had to call the emergency number to get in. There was no lock on my door and then no one to check me out on Monday, in addition to no breakfast.
Nice staff, really EXCELLENT food, comfortable room, very conveniently located.
The WiFi was bad.
The restaurant was amazing. Staff are lovely Comfy bed
The room was too hot. The bedding was too thick and despite putting the fan on I woke up constantly over heating. No windows to open on the ground floor. Walls are thin and I had an adjoining room where it sounded like the guy next door was actually in the same room as me. Extractor fan noisy. Had to stand on a plastic stool to switch it off. Floor had not been hoovered. Bathroom needs regrouting.
Everything was 1st class. I cannot find any fault
Nothing to dislike
Staff were really lovely and helpful Bed was so comfy and lovely bedding Lovely cooked breakfast & restaurant Separate sink dressing area Lovely toiletries Full length mirror Iron and ironing board
Room was cold & dark when we arrived heating wasn’t working and had a bulb out in an already dark room Girl on reception was amazing sorted heating out and changed bulb this all took About an hour Room was very dark decor and dusty in places on closer inspection Bathroom was so cold and shower area didn’t look very clean shower was luke warm on full Only one packet of biscuits and no hot chocolate and stained cups Only 1 small bottle of water Car park badly lit we couldn’t find the entrance as so dark had to ask someone how do we get in Car park literally right outside the bedroom window car parked about 1 foot from window Said breakfast included in the price but on arrival was told this is continental breakfast only and had to preorder if wanted cooked breakfast at £18 suppliment per breakfast
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel in the location everything and everyone were excellent. The room was was very comfortable with some nice additions like TV over the bath and fresh milk in fridge for tea/coffee.
Excellent stay exceeded my expectations
The one member off staff that was on Sunday morning was v helpful tho
No staff at reception when checking in or out Just one member off staff on Sunday morning doing breakfast and running the hotel, all doors were locked to the wedding venue , so we couldn’t collect goods, you would off thought there would be staff to help after a wedding
Great location - staff always super friendly. Rooms excellent too.
Nothing.
Very clean, lovely rooms. Good location for what I need, lovely staff and restaurant is amazing too.
Nothing.
Large bed, spacious room
The wet room shower gets water everywhere, and goes under the half door between shower area and toilet.
The staff were exceptional, very clean room and restaurant served excellent food
.
Lovely quiet
11am was check out and got a knock on the door 9.30 asking if we was ready to check out. If you want a few hot drinks in the morning take some milk as you only get left a small amount in fridge
The restaurant food was really good , The staff were brilliant ,
Lighting in the room was a bit dark, room, Curtains needed adjusting so they could be closed properly as they were slightly hanging off the rail .
Loved the breakfast, wonderful bread, perfectly cooked packed eggs, superb yoghurt and home made granola. Staff were friendly and efficient.
Hand basin tap in bathroom fiddly to use
Staffs are very nice and helpful
Very Very cold in the bathroom because the heater didn’t work. In the room also they have only heater actually I suggest to put air-con to make temperature in the room stable. Anyway the staff brought me one more moveable heater as I requested.
Really nice place to stay when in Scunthorpe. The food is always incredible.
No negatives.
The hotel reception was very clean and welcoming and the staff member was very helpful. The room was nice and warm when we opened the door and very clean and tidy. The room had an ensuite toilet with shower and bath. Above the bath was a tv screen with freeview channels pre-programmed. The toilet, bath and shower are behind a glazed door. There are drink making facilities, kettle, glasses and in the fridge was a couple of bottles of water and a small jug of fresh milk!. The bed was super comfortable and we had a fairly good nights sleep. The breakfast was really lovely, as was the breakfast manager working on the shift. We opted for the cooked breakfast option which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Parking wasn't a problem at the hotel, it seems a fairly safe part of the town so didn't need to worry about parking a car up overnight.
We didn't like the glazed door into the bathroom area, although this offered some privacy, you could see an outline of someone sat on the toilet etc!. It also isn't possible to leave the bathroom light (or a nearby light) during the night to provide lighting for if you get up during the night. I ended up leaving my phone torch light on all night to provide some minimalistic lighting. There isn't any aircon in the room and whilst the room was welcoming when we arrived, we both woke up sweating during the night despite earlier turning off the radiator. This was quickly fixed though by opening the large window in the room, even with the window open, there wasn't much road noise. I think the summer months may be a problem however. (There was a tower fan but this didn't give much air out but it was fairly silent).
Easy to park, rooms are quite large, modern, fabulous food in the ajoining restaurant. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly
We found the ajoining door between rooms allowed for the noise levels to be annoying. Unfortunately we had loud inconsider guests next to us but the hotel very kindly moved our room. This was really appreciated and the new room was unbelievably quiet
The room was spotless with lots of little extras. Staff were very friendly. Bed was extra comfy. The breakfast buffet was nice
Cut my finger on the toilet flush, it got trapped. Didn't like the "small suplement" for the hot breakfast when you are expected to pay full price. Lighting not great for doing makeup/hair
Lovely Boutique hotel, the rooms are done to a high standard and super comfortable
Excellent service all round. Comfortable and clean rooms with a great breakfast experience.
The room was beautiful. Tastefully decorated. The comfiest bed with amazing pillows. The staff were really welcoming and friendly.
Nothing really.
This is a great place to stay. All the staff are so helpful and friendly. The standard of accommodation is exquisite and the restaurant… don’t get me started on the sardines-they were to die for. Ample parking right outside for free and easily walkable to the town centre. Definitely be staying here again next time I am over that way.
Highly Recommend
This was a good find ! Great hotel with lovely quality rooms and an excellent restaurant . Staff extremely helpful and friendly . Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area !
Beautiful hotel
They take £100 on a card as u arrive, to be returned up to 2 weeks later. Unnecessary. Most hotels take your details just in case. Food was very expensive.
