Access isn’t great, you need to park or get dropped at a nearby resort and walk in however their staff come meet you and take your bags.

Vila přímo na pláži. Pokoje s výhledem na moře jsou úžasné. Velmi milý personál, dobré jídlo.

Jeden celý den nám netekla vůbec voda. Bylo to nepříjemné. Nedaly se umýt zuby ani splachovat WC. Manažerka nám nabízela slevu 50% na jeden oběd! Nakonec jsme se dohodli na bezplatných 3 večeřích. Pokoj “do zahrady” má okno dovnitř hotelu, kde rostou květiny. Je nutné mít stále zařazený závěs, aby vám ostatní neviděli do pokoje. V tomto přízemním pokoji byl celkem slyšet od rána ruch z kuchyně. Snídaně vypadaly na lístku velmi bohaté, ale vždy jste si musel vybrat (např. buď vejce nebo párek, kávu nebo džus). Myslím si, že za tuto cenu by se již měly nabízet švédské stoly. Kávu i džus považuji za standard.

Too expensive. Also, You have to walk 5min on beach to reach the hotel, which is okay to me. But since staffs will carry luggage for you, tips are not avoidable, in both directions. It is hard to refuse their helps and hard to not giving the tips.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Uma in Panglao, Bohol, and I cannot speak highly enough about the exceptional service provided by Mark and Elegen at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, they greeted me with genuine warmth and professionalism, making the check-in process smooth and enjoyable. L’emplacement était super et gros point positif, la plage privee juste devant qui n’est pas négligeable étant donné le nombre de personnes sur la plage publique à quelques centaines de mètres. Nous sommes arrivés avant l’heure de Check-in mais nous avons pu prendre notre chambre tout de suite. La chambre était spacieuse, le lit très grand et confortable, de l’eau dans la chambre. Un frigo, the café. Nous y avons séjourné mi novembre et étions presque seul dans l’hôtel nous avions la plage pour nous. Gros point positif le transfert gratuit à l’aéroport de Panglao.

Rien de particulier mais les prix des menus étaient un peu excessifs ( mais comme dans tous les hôtels que nous avons fait aux philippines)

Es ist unglaublich laut, links und rechts karaoke Dauerschow, nicht nur die Musik ist laut, es ist auch einfach dass singen der betrunkenen Gäste.

Tilava, siisti huone, kauniilla merelle avautuvalla näköalalla. Todella ystävällinen, avulias ja joustava henkilökunta. Hyvää ruokaa. Rauhallinen sijainti. Hyvä wi-fi. Pitivät kiinteistöstä ja rannasta hyvää huolta. Siivosivat rannan päivittäin.

Minulle ruoka-annoskoot olivat riittävät, mutta miesväki moitti joitain annoksia pieniksi, suihkusta sai kuumaa vettä, mutta se hieman pätki.

Zimmer eher einfach eingerichtet mit sehr ungemütlichem Licht; leider konnten wir trotzdem Hotel fast leer war und es an diesem Tag geschüttet hat nicht früher einchecken.

Ranta hieman epäsiisti ja hoitamaton. Aamupala oli erittäin suppea. Hinta ja laatu ei kohdannut lainkaan. Kuva hotellista antaa täysin väärän kuvan todellisuudesta. Varasimme hotelliin viikon lomailun, olimme 2 yötä ja vaihdoimme toiseen hotelliin. Rotta juoksi molempina öinä välikatossa. Sanoimme tästä ja toimiin rotan häätämiseksi ryhdyttiin kyllä. Lähtiessä pyysimme taksin vieressä olevaan hotelliin, matkaa noin 1,5km. Hotelli otti taksista 700 pesoa. Taksi lentokentältä hotellille oli paljon vähemmän ja matkaa oli huomattavasti enemmän.

El servicio del personal es malo e inconsistente. Algunos ejemplos: 1.-Ofrecen transfer gratis al hotel. Confirmé 3 veces con ellos la hora de recogida en el puerto de Tagbilaran y no se presentaron. Tras esperar 1 hora sin que respondiesen, cogimos un transfer por nuestra cuenta (600PHP). El dinero es lo de menos si todo lo demás hubiese estado a la altura. 2.-Pedimos hacer el check-out a las 13:00 en lugar de 12:00 (compensando de alguna manera el error anterior) y se negaron ("available at extra cost"). No tenían ninguna llegada programada ese día. 3.-Las opciones de desayuno son confusas y dependiendo de quien te atienda, unas veces una cosa está incluida y otra no. 4.-La comida (incluido desayuno) es de pésima calidad. Si quieres comer, evita comer ahí y ve al bar que hay a 2min andando que es algo mejor. El café es muy malo hasta para los estándares filipinos. 5.-Las bebidas tienen sobreprecio excesivo (de nuevo, comparando con el bar de al lado). 6.-Hay mucho personal (6-8 personas para 2-3 habitaciones que había ocupadas en nuestra estancia), pero no tienen muchas ganas de trabajar, que también lo entiendo teniendo en cuenta la miseria que les pagarán. Con tanto personal, no se entiende que no adecenten los pasillos para ir a la habitación después de que llueva y esté todo empantanado, o que queden mesas sin recoger durante horas. 7.-A partir de las 22:00 es imposible que te atiendan en recepción, a pesar de que anuncian recepción 24/7. 8.-Todos los días para entrar al hotel hay que pasar a través de otro resort y pagar 100PHP por persona. Esto no es problema porque te lo reembolsan, pero es muy pesado porque te hacen 3 check-ins de la pulserita cada vez que te acercas a la puerta y te persiguen como si quisieras colarte (¿?). 9.-El acceso al hotel es únicamente a través de ese resort y luego andando unos 5min por la playa. No es dramático, pero no apto para gente con problemas de movilidad o carritos de bebé. 10.

Highly enjoyed staying in this resort. We wanted a place that is away from noise and a party atmosphere and we got it. The staff are great, room is fantastic, beach amenities are awesome (they offer kayak and gears for free). I would return again. I miss it already. Wifi can be weak at some spots, breakfast prep can be a little loud but its only for a short moment.

This is hotel is located in a relaxed quiet location with a beautiful beach front. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Food served here is also super nice. There is nothing I can fault.

This is a boutique hotel and while is doesn’t have pools and nightclubs it has a charm that is unique. It is beautifully peaceful and the beach in front of the hotel is as good as it gets. The staff are amongst the nicest people I’ve ever met. Despite its small size Villa Umi offers a wide ranging food menu and extensive breakfast and even a cute little bar. Couldn’t have wished for a nicer stay.

We found exactly what we are looking for at Villa Umi. Beachfront and tranquility were achieved. We are extremely thankful to all the staff, they are very friendly and warm. We enjoyed the sunrise for 2 days, and all resorts (neighbor) are walkable if you want to see some crowds and try other foods and check other souvenirs or activities. Again, Villa Umi is kinda private and quiet, so if you want to avoid crowds, this is the exact hotel you want to stay. Also, they said its not the peak season, so we're good. In addition, They don't have private drive, you will share entrance with other guests entering Dumaluan beach resort/ pavilions, it's only a 3 to 4 min walk to Villa Umi. It's not a big issue at all, the staff carried all our luggage to the hotel. For all activites, you just need to ask the staff at front desk, we did our private tour around Bohol (like zipline, Loboc cruise, Tarsier viewing, Chocolate Hills) first before we checked in, so our 2nd day is all about the sea, sunrise viewing, swimming, snorkeling, walk, eat, take pictures, sleep.

The location is insane!! The staff were so helpful taking our bags to the hotel along the beach. Waking up to the view and sound of the sea was breathtaking!

The showers were a lil tricky to get to stay at one temp and unfortunately we drank them dry if one need and ate they dry if our fave cake… Which I guess just proves how good the food was!

The beach is amazing, cristal clear waters, not many tourists. The vibe at the hotel is relaxed, the staff is nice and the room was well cleaned every day!

The property is in between two other resorts that often played loud music (one of the days there was karaoke going on from morning to evening and right after that a birthday party with loud music until 12 am - we had to wake up early next morning and even noise cancelling didn’t help). Shame because the location is amazing and when it’s quiet it’s super tranquil. Also in order to reach the hotel you have to pay entry fee of 100 per person per day (refundable only with ticket which we didn’t get from the sales person - this process is very inconvenient and can be handled better by the hotel). Other than that we enjoyed our stay!

The garden was a tiny strip of plants by the toilets. Also no hot water, no air conditioning and the staff couldn’t care less. Kitchen starts prepping from 5.30am and the staff communicate by shouting loudly to each other. There’s also a really loud constant background humming. We complained to hotel who have told us ‘our policy is no refund’ (even partial)and have now complained to booking.com. A hotel that cheats its guests.

Thank you for your hospitality. We loved this resort and recommend to everyone. Clean, friendly, always responds quickly. You can stay here all day. Enjoy their meal, room massage, beach and everything. We had absolutely fantastic memories here.

Beautiful beach front location with very friendly staff. Perfect place for some relaxation in a beautiful setting. Weekends can be a little loud with the neighbours and their karaoke / parties but it didn’t go into the evening and weekdays were much quieter

Gorgeous quiet hotel in an outstanding location with incredible views. Small property with few rooms so staffing is quick & efficient. Very friendly, attentive staff. Location is unbelievable. From room 5 (ground floor sea view room) you literally walk out into patio area that rolls out onto the beach. Included breakfast is good. You have about 7 options of a meal with fresh fruit & tea / coffee / hot chocolate. Cocktails are ok in a cute setting. Shame they don’t make more effort of evening dining at the hotel. Most people leave for restaurants along the beach. They should try to encourage guests to stay by offering deals or events as it’s a beautiful setting! Room was nice. Rather basic for what you pay and spec isn’t amazing. Bed is super comfortable though! Cleaned daily. Bathroom is great with lovely walk-in shower but pressure isn’t great & temperature very temperamental. Toilet isn’t great either and drains smelled at times. It is expensive for the spec of the room and facilities (no pool) but I think the location is what you pay for! I got a taxi to the property & it was really very confusing to get from the drop off to the hotel - I had to walk over the beach with a case!! They should really offer complimentary pick up both ways to be honest. Also be aware you have to pay to be on Dumaluan beach (100) but make sure to get a receipt to get a refund from the hotel. Would recommend based on incredible location & lovely staff.

Nice and quiet location. The entrance to the hotel is speciel, you have to go 5 min on the beach before you reach the hotel. The food and drinks are below average.

The hotel is clean, quiet, and private. The staff is very friendly, polite, and accommodating. They’re very helpful, and the service is excellent. We were assigned a front-view room with a stunning beach view and beautiful sunrise.

A little bit of a up hill ramp to get to the facility and at least 1 flight of stairs to get to your room, but i am a 55yr old out of shape truck driver, but i did not find it to be a problem at all. Some construction noise from next door but that's is very common in the Philippines and nothing anyone can do

Stay away from this place! The room was bad smelling. Breakfast was poor (3 small pancakes and 3 slices of watermelon). So if you are really hungry you need to find another place to pay for a proper breakfast. I was to have a garden view - one bamboo and four tiny bushes they called a garden! Had a quilt like for a winter in Norway when outside was 30 degrees! It is even not a hotel but a guesthouse and the beach was not super clean like on photos. There are better and cheaper hotels in this area! For this price they just offer a one way pick up either from the ferry or from the airport. The guesthouse is far from the main road. My driver even did know how to get to that place. If you have a heavy luggage you need to carry it on along the beach! Another thing is that at the time of booking the price was completely different - almost 10 times cheaper! I guess there was an error on the website (this issue was successfully sorted out with booking.com after my coming back home) but when I noticed how much money was taken from my account I started begging them for a cancellation and refund. Without any success, even when told them that I had no money to go back home! Bare this in mind as they are so mean that in case of urgent situation they will not give you any refund!

Amazing experience!

Serene space to unwind and have a wonderful vacation. Staff were friendly and attentive. Ambiance and decor are well planned and tasteful. We will definitely visit and stay there again.

Front desk suspecting me (with absolutely no reason as I never asked for it) of wanting to make a late check out and making pressure (phone call in the room) to make me leave early). This ruined my last day and overall experience.

Great location and exceptionally clean. The staff are superb - Mark and Erica on reception are just lovely. Couldn’t do enough for us. The wait staff and chef are fantastic - food is excellent.

beautiful beachfront location - white sand, clear sea, even if there were grassy parts that were not really swimmable room was spacious and comfortable staff were very accommodating, and responded positively to all our requests. they were very sweet to my baby resort has a cool beach vibe. pretty terrace area, with sun beds. restaurant food was good

rooms were pricey no right of way, but the resort warned us. tricycle to alona was 250pesos each way -- quite expensive coffee could improve room was not cleaned everyday trash lying on beach was sad and frustrating - local gov't and private resorts should impose fines, and sanction violators!

The staff are so friendly and helpful making my family’s vacation experience worth while! The property was very clean and they take their time to help each guest. The private beach front is like no other and quite relaxing. We appreciate Lovely, Raymund, Raven, and John Paul as well as the rest of the staff. 10/10 would come back to again to Villa Umi.

Small little “boutique” hotel right in the beach. A short walk down the beach to the larger, higher end resorts (2) where you can use the restaurants and more extensive (and manicured) beach front. Overall the hotel is great, if not overpriced. Recommend

If you like off the beaten path, this is a good choice. For the most part, staff was understanding and very helpful. Getting in and out of the resort area requires going through a gate and guard. Getting to villa umi requires a walk down the beach, but the staff comes out in force to help with bags. Meals were a little slow but worth the wait. Very clean and staff was very attentive.

The resort was beautiful, right on the beach, staff cleaned the property every morning. Plenty of outdoor seating. The staff was wonderful, friendly, very attentive and always responded to a question or request promptly. The food for all meals was delicious and large portions.

We were dropped at the nearest road 7 8 min walk away and as soon as we got out weere made to pay 200 to acess the beach which accesses to hotel! Which they didnt give a receipt for but the hotel said was needed to refund this money!! Annoying...The beach is covered in sea urchins and there are spines and the shells of the bodies of urchins everywhere.. we were very lucky to not stab our feet whilst having to walk to the hotel..none of this is mentioned when booking! We booked a garden view room which is just a car lengh of soil with some bamboo shoots which is acrually a barrier in between the noisy kitchen 3 seconds from the room door! The room... fresh beds and clean.. the small things.. having a tap where the water heads down to the sink instead of sideways and all over your clothes because the fixings are missing! When you look at things closer the room was grimy and clearly alot of areas dont get cleaned..sort of like a dried toothpaste. Coudy dusty type thing! Mosquitos fill the dining area with the staff constantly slapping them selves.. 15 lizards in the dining area wasn't combatting this issue in the slightest! One guy to run the food take orders and he spends his time during service outside whislt the bell is being rung and we can see our food just sitting there being attacked by various bugs! I went up and picked the tray up myself and delivered the food to my table in end as he also trebles up at the baggage carrier and new guest arrival drink carrier and was busy with that! Ordered the bbq ribs and pork liempo which is the same dish with doss sauce and bland and bang average.. decided to go for a burger only the stale super hard bun ruined that option after 1 bite! £145 pounds a night yet charged us 200 for 2 small cans of pop out the fridge! Better options in the area but beach is just unsafe and for all these reasons i wouldnt recommend!!

The main reason I can't rate this hotel higher is because of a super annoying system they have with the neighboring hotel. To access Villa Umi you have ot walk through another hotel, which tries to get you to pay 100 pesos pp each time. They claim your hotel will reimburse you, but it seems like something they should work out among themselves and not burden the guests with it. We refused to pay it, and had to argue each time to get past the gate to access our hotel. We hope that the two hotels can fix this system, because it doesn't make sense.

The sea view room, cant really sea rhe sea due to all the trees. It covers the landscape. The food is bad, at least I would expect regular prices, but it was extra expensive! The service is not good. They made a lot of mistakes. The location is far from the place u take the rides. They refer to them self as fine dining and resort, but the level of the place is more of a hostel.

The staff were exceptionally nice and caring. They took really good care of us when we had a health issue, and were empathic to the point of making sure they were discreet about it with the other guests.

Lovely quiet place on the beach

THIS PROPERTY HAD COCKROACHES!! MANAGEMENT SAID THEY WOULD REFUND OUR MONEY FOR THE 3 NIGHTS WE WEREN'T GOING TO BE THERE, BUT THE OWNER REFUSED TO AUTHORIZE OUR REFUND. THIS WAS AFTER WE WERE TOLD WE WERE GOING TO GET IT. I FEEL IT WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL OF THEM TO DENY OUR REQUEST. VILLA UMI WANTS TO CHARGE ME $530.95 FOR 3 NIGHTS STAY, EVEN THOUGH WE DIDN'T STAY THERE BECAUSE OF THE COCKROACHES AND BAD SMELLING ROOM. DON'T STAY THERE!!! THEY WANT TO CHARGE FOR SOMETHING WE NEVER GOT, WHICH WAS A CLEAN AND SAFE ENVIRONMENT. THIS CAUSED US A GREAT INCONVENIENCE. WE HAD TO FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO STAY AT THE LAST MINUTE, AND PAY MORE FOR THE OTHER HOTEL ROOM. I TRIED REACHING OUT TO THEM, ABOUT RECONSIDERING MY REFUND DENIAL, VIA EMAIL 4 TIMES, BUT THEY NEVER RESPONDED, AND WHENEVER I CALLED TO TALK TO SOMEONE, THERE WAS NO ANSWER.
