Provider-sourced guest reviews.
View from room was lovely. Room was very quiet, no disturbance from wedding event. Reception staff and Ellie the manager were very good. Bar staff good.
Bed was ridiculously high and we're both tall! Room could be cleaner, attention to detail. Service at breakfast was disappointing and choice of continental very limited especially compared with other Harbour Hotels. New electric car chargers not working properly and expensive as not stopping once charge complete. No hot water for 3 days out of 5!!
The staff were exceptional from check in to check out. In particular, the two gentlemen who worked in the hotel maintenance and operations department were kind and perfect ambassadors for the entire hotel. The front desk staff were also very accommodating. Thank you very much.
Not a thing.
The room was comfortable and the bathroom was fantastic! Our room overlooked the Car Park and rubbish bins.A shelter was being constructed as we arrived and the drilling etc was disruptive. Perhaps, we could have been accommodated elsewhere in the hotel away from the drilling etc which continued until 5.00-5.30pm. Dinner was good and breakfast was ample with a good range of dishes which could be extended from Continental for a modest fee of £7 per person.
The drilling just outside our window!
Size and comfort of room. Complimentary gin and tonic was nice. Lovely views of beach from restaurant and decking area
Cleanliness in bathroom, a lot of dust on walls. Extra charge for cooked breakfast.
Our room was comfortable and spacious. The bathroom facilities were of a high standard. Coffee and tea making was good. Food was freshly prepared. Despite being busy, we were served in good time. Staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived early but as our room was ready were were able to check in. Flexibility in this respect is much appreciated.
The air conditioning did not appear to work but a fan had been provided which was adequate. The air temperature in the bathroom was unnecessarily high.
Absolutely stunning hotel , everything is just perfect
Nothing
Property very nice
Our bedroom was pretty small, but the main issue was it was swelteringly hot. No heating or themostat to adjust. Htl obv knew as windows were open on arrival and a fan in the room. Very uncomfortable
Clean modern and spacious
Nothing
The hotel bedrooms are very well presented (just very hot) The Breakfast was good value , well presented and ample for us both The staff were polite, attentive and deserve praise for their excellence.
The bedroom was very hot and out of the 3 windows only one would open, it was 25'C inside when it was 19'C outside , we had to open the door to try to cool the room down
Excellent Location Rooms Reception Especially July who really could not help us enough Front desk Facilities Swimming pool Swimming pool terrace and bar Views Good Staff but more training required for the low end resources
Slightly noisy room until the kitchen closed Very officious junior staff , sometimes irritating
Generally all round good experience and very good staff. Could do with a lick of paint in some areas, but would happily stay there again if going to Sidmouth
Good location, comfortable beds, nice balcony
Car parking difficult, breakfast very poor, dinner very poor, did not expect a burger on the menu, staff overwhelmed by amount of people in the restaurant, obvious cost cutting
The room, the sauna/spa area was small but very nice. The bar both indoors and outside was great. The food in the restaurant at breakfast and dinner was also very nice. Staff were on the whole very attentive. Room was comfy and clean and well appointed.
The main criticism was that we planned to stay by the pool during the day as the weather was very nice. This was one of the reasons we visited the hotel. It was impossible to get a sun lounger. Folk arrived very early to take ownership of them and they were never released. We were forced onto a very stony beach to enjoy the weather - this was not quite the same. It would have been fairer if there was some way to ensure all hotel guests could use the facilities, rather than just those who got up early.
Location and staff were all good
I don't think dogs should have been allowed in the dining area and had to put up with yapping sometimes. It's a to nice and hotel for dogs to stay in.
Dinning room floor dirty Hotel room dated
Great location. Food choice limited
Nothing ! Everything was good
Location
Room was small, food in restaurant and service very average, for a 5 star
Spa treatment - Angela was a good therapist
Location. The bar was nice. The outdoor swimming pool was excellent although small. Weather was amazing so the pool was welcome.
Swimming pool spa area not very interesting. Bedding was stained but changed once I reported it. Not enough staff in the bar. Menu in restaurant limited to 6 dishes. Poor service. Breakfast is continental but poor selection of yogurt, jams, cheese etc. You can order cooked items for extra cost.
Beautiful property with nicely appointed rooms. The only thing missing was air conditioning. Restaurant very well priced and delicious food. Good wine cellar to choose from.
Lack of air conditioning in the rooms. Would be unbearable during a heatwave.
THE DRIVE HOME
FOOD AND THE COLD SHOWER AND NO MILK FOR A TEA OR COFFEE IN THE MORNING IN MY ROOM SAYS BREAKFAST INCLUDED BUT WHEN YOU TURN UP ITS AN EXTRA CHARGE
Everything, all good.
Not spending longer at the hotel.
Myself and my husband stayed at the Harbour Hotel for 4 nights. We had a marvellous stay and wonderful treatments at the spa. The staff were helpful and friendly. In the beautiful weather it was lovely to spend time around the pool. Well worth a visit.
Fabulous location
Let's start with the good stuff! Beautiful location, lovely outside pool, friendly staff, continental breakfast was wonderful and a lovely complimentary free gin in my room- lovely touch! I was a solo traveller and my gosh the room was tiny. I could hardly move in it- it definitely was not worth the price of it, it would make a better airing cupboard. Parking is very limited as well just as and FYI. The spa has a very small pool inside. The outside pool is much better though, I have seen much better spas in my time.
Excellent location, great access to the town and beach. Super facilities with great food and drink options with super service and comfortabke surroundings.
Nothing
Location
Somewhat disorganised in the restaurant inthe evening ( lack of enough staff?) Broken table lamp removed immediately but never replaced. Final account completely wrong ( but this was dealt with quickly & in an efficient & friendly manner)
Spa and pool in and out side , bat nice
Small balcony and no privacy as could see into other rooms
Excellent quality and choice
The decking outside needs attention
Spotless, great staff and excellent outside and indoor space
Car parking however there is a long stay car park across the road
The team at the hotel were lovely and helpful.
It was really hot evening and night and the fan that was provided was ineffective. It made for a very unpleasant nights sleep.
This is a great hotel, smart, tidy and well laid out. The customer service is excellent as are the facilities
I only had continental breakfast but it was very good lots of choices
Nothing The weather was amazing and I enjoyed relaxing on my private balcony with a sea view
We stayed at the harbour hotel and got married here! The wedding had a stunning backdrop of the cliffs and the sea. The whole day ran so smoothly, the team moved all of the chairs and decorations even in the very hot heat!! We had so many guests tell us how friendly the staff were, and the next day they had even cleared and packed all our stuff up ready to take home and offered to help load it into the car! It was the best day ever made just perfect by The harbour Hotel staff.
Ideally located
Some areas of hotel under renovation
Having had poor experiences at SHH in the past I was delighted to see things have changed. Friendly, helpful staff Visited Sunday evening had drinks and dinner ( excellent salmon & risotto - good portion sizes ) Nod to the young lady that served us and the bar man ( who is studying law ) so sorry I didn’t catch their names Many thanks Mac
The fact that "breakfast" included in my booking actually turned out to be Continental breakfast and if you wanted an English breakfast it would be an extra £10 pounds per head! This is on top of the cost of the room £365!!
I have just hosted my 60th birthday here and me, my family and guests had the most amazing time. The event staff especially Charlotte were excellent in their communication & couldnt do enough to help organise the event before , during & after. We held it in their Connaught Suite & on the terrace space in the glorious sunshine.. the Ibiza beach club vibe party I wanted was definitely achieved and it couldnt have gone more perfect. All the staff are so helpful and any issues were addressed professionally . The hotel overall is excellent and we love it there and will certainly be going back every year for sure .
Rooms were dirty and not clean. On arrival previous clothes from last guest was found in the cupboard. Not enough towels were provided. Camp bed in which my son had to sleep on was broken and can feel the metal bar in his back when trying to sleep. Spar members were rude and aggressive about times for a facial. Spent the week being shushed by people around the pool just because the presence of my children. Overall not a family friendly hotel and will not be booking again.
3rd time to this hotel, love everything about it! Perfect location, fabulous rooms, and staff. Thank you
Everything, stunning hotel
It was in a great location
Nothing
Eating here in the restaurant felt like you could be abroad on a hot and sunny day in Devon. The views are incredible as they overlook the sea. The atmosphere is calming, exactly what you want went dining. The service was good overall but it took a while for somebody to come and take payment. The food was tasty although I would have liked some more crab with my soufflé.
Lovely friendly staff, couldn’t have been more helpful on our arrival. The bathroom in the room was very small & the room described as cosy was ‘very small’ for £204 per night. The spa although a nice space was not relaxing atall due to a really noisy inconsiderate family in the pool, this needs monitoring as a spa is a place for mindfulness. Hotel drinks very overpriced, £26 for 2 Irish coffees is extortionate in my opinion.
Staff were all friendly and very helpful. my wife haas restricted movement and nothing was too much trouble. she is vegetarian and her requirements were well served. we were very happy, and hope to return perhaps later in the year.
Some difficulty in parking the car, given that my wife is disabled and such spaces are few. nearby public car park was very useful. but even that was very busy at this time.
Liked continental breakfast, lovely terrace, staff friendly and efficient, gorgeous location
Dirty window surround by bath, noisy bin lorry early in morning, limited parking, not knowing where to get towel from for pool
We enjoyed everything, the food was incredable, we loved the pools with plenty of seating.
The inside pool had lots of wet towels left on beds, needed to be monitored more often.
Location views
That you didn’t get breakfast only continental one extra price for coffee like flat whites etc. your paying for location and view…. Staff great hotel little tired needs refurb for £200 plus a night
Lovely choice of fresh fruits at breakfast. Appreciated adaptations to meals to accommodate dietary requirements.
Decor in bedroom looking a little tired in places.
The terrace area with outdoor seating, overlooking the pool and with a sea view. Bar area felt comfortable and the drinks from the bar were made to a good standard all week.
The facilities in our room didn’t work on arrival, the toilet flushing was broken and not strong enough to flush anything away, the bathroom sink did not drain and filled with water, the bathroom door did not close properly due to a faulty handle. We asked to change rooms and were advised that this was not an option, and that maintenance would be sent to the room due to the concerns raised. The food was mediocre and not worth the cost. The sirloin steak tasted like it had been fried in too much oil and appeared to have gone grey, the scrambled egg at breakfast had been bulked out with milk and was white, the beans were served cold, the fried egg had a film over the top of it and was solid because of being splashed in oil. The hotel ran out of oat milk. Every day the food was different with different types of bread for breakfast and appeared to be a variation in chefs and quality of food standard changing every day. Overcharged for a chicken Caesar salad which had to then be refunded the difference. The staff member processed the refund but the system then cancelled the order completely, resulting in waiting nearly an hour for a salad before asking where it was, and a different staff member advising that the chefs weren’t aware of the ticket order. There was black mould in the jacuzzi. There was black mould in the window frames. The windows were dirty with brown water marks in the pool area and on the bedroom windows. Wood in the sauna requires replacing due to wear and tear. The wifi was appalling throughout the hotel, especially in the bedrooms. Unable to complete any work during the week because of the poor connection and speed of the wifi. Terrible for a working week away. For comparison, the Salcombe and the Richmond Harbour Hotels were a much better experience, so our expectations were based on having good experiences previously at other Harbour Hotels.
Clean, quiet and well situated.
Very good location The indoor pool was amazing loved the atmosphere and pretty good costumer service
The service wasn’t exceptional and the outdoor pool was really crowded outdoor tables Weren’t cleaned properly, And the menu for breakfast has no options basically and they don’t even have a buffet.
A lovely hotel! There is a very friendly welcome from all of the reception, dining room and bar staff. Breakfast dishes are plentiful and tasty at very reasonable prices. The views across the bay are stunning! - particularly if you're lucky enough to have a sea view room with balcony. We'd thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Sidmouth.
Sehr schönes Hotel in toller Lage. Nur zwei Gehminuten von der Promenade. Schöner Blick. Tadellose Ausstattung. Sehr schöne Zimmer. Das Restaurant ist sehr gut und der Service sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Kompliment an die Führung und die Mitarbeiter,
Room was better than we expected, with lots of nice touches like welcome gin in a decanter, bottled water, big towelling robes. The room managed to relatively cool with the air con and fan and it was quiet and not far from reception. We had drinks in the bar the first night then dinner - service excellent. Breakfast great, we were served promptly and the buffet was topped up. During our break we drank at the bar several times as we met up with friends and found staff to be professional and friendly.
Car parking could have been explained better. The hotel provided us with a voucher for the public car park across the road, so when we checked out we wanted to stay on for a hour and a half but that meant more trips back and forth to public car park for the voucher, note there is not enough car parking at the hotel to provide parking for all guests. We booked the hotel as it stated free parking on the website. That said we would stay there again, but arrive earlier to ensure a parking space in the public car park.
Stayed 3 wonderful days in the Sidmouth Harbour Hotel. Everything perfect BUT. . When we checked in we were told that as we had booked through Booking .Com a cooked breakfast would be £10 pp extra. On booking.com site it states price includes a GENEROUS BREAKFAST! The hotel is not cheap and it sounds like a bad management decision. Put up the price £8 or £10 it would have bought in the same number of customers and income, but would not have annoyed me and I understand many others. Ps I will return but when they change the policy
The room and the pool were great, all the staff we encountered at the spa were great. The free gin was a nice touch
The breakfast was very disappointing. It was only continental, you had to pay for a cooked breakfast. The continental, was a very small buffet breakfast that didn't match up to the rest of the hotel.
We’ve stayed at all the major hotels in Sidmouth. Where the Harbour Hotel scores so highly is its versatility. It has a spa, an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a lovely indoor lounging area, distinct outdoor lounging areas including a couple of lawns, and uninterrupted views of Sidmouth’s glorious seafront from the conservatory-like dining room. It also sits about 200 metres west of the bustling promenade, which makes it perceptibly quieter than the seafront hotels.
Service at breakfast and dinner times can be a little slow to get going (i.e. those very first coffees, drinks orders, water, food orders etc). However, once those initial requests kick in, everything else runs very smoothly, and the service is always very hospitable.
Upon arrival the reception team were friendly and approachable, they were kind and helped us with finding a parking space. Although we were early we could use all facilties including the heated and very clean outdoor pool, restaurant, bar and spa. We had lunch from the light snacks menu which was delicious and beautifully presented and then went for a walk into the town, the hotel is less than a 5min walk and only 2mins walk to the beach. The evening dinner restaurant menu was perfect and I sent my compliments to the chef on the beef bourgignon (highly reccomend). ALL the staff were friendly, happy and approachable. The spa was clean and relaxing. The gym (although we did not use it) was fully equipped and very clean and quite large. The entire hotel decor was beautifully presented and well thought out creating a very relaxed and homely feel. The gardens were impeccably well kept. Our room was again very clean and beautifully presented and full of complimentary items including a fridge with water, soft drinks, snacks, robes, slippers, shampoos, shower accessories, hairdryer, HUGE TV and even gin and tonic water. Our bathroom was also a loverly size and very clean. The mattress and bedding were divine and we had an amazing night's sleep. Overall we had a fantastic weekend stay and would highly reccomend and will be returning.
Through no fault of the hotel but when leaving the seagulls decided to use our car as toilet for the weekend, this is not to be frowned upon as to be expected being a stones throw away from the beach.
Staff were very friendly, hotel spotless, and there was great seaside atmosphere. The bar and lap pool overlooking the beach was something really special - we loved it. Nice big room too and the beds were very comfortable. Perfect location at the top of the bay.
The car park fills up quickly but I understand there's public parking over the road if you don't get a space.
Last minute booking and made to feel very welcome. Rooms are comfortable and cosy, a welcome G+T on arrival is a nice touch - food was excellent as was the service
Reception staff very helpful. We were phoned as soon as our room was ready (early). Our room was large and comfortable- great bed and bedding.
Both pools very small, particularly the outdoor one. Breakfast a bit chaotic; coffee took ages to arrive and service slow. We felt it was a bit mean not to include a cooked breakfast.
Great staff , good location, comfortable well facilitated room , even had netflix !
Cant really think of much
Location was brilliant.hotel was very clean staff are friendly .
Easy to park and good location close to seafront. Note you have to pay £10 extra per person for hot breakfast!
It is a shared terrace balcony so couldn't leave french windows open all night. Room was really hot despite fan. Bathroom a bit dated.
Excellent breakfast, fresh and good selection
Nothing it was excellent
Decent space of gym, sauna, pool. Mini bar in your bedroom. The fries at the upper deck is deliciously crunchy. Friendly and accommodating staffs.
A little bit of dirt on small details.
My partner and I visited for a few days in late July and what a treat we had.... From the warmest of welcomes, to the food, drinks and beautiful surroundings This hotel is very special The rooms are comfortable and spacious. They have thought of everything that you may need They even cater for dogs, with beds, blankets and treats !! The views are spectacular and it is only a stones throw from the town centre We were spolit with the choice of two swimming pools and a relaxed spa area. I would personally like to thank the front of house team who made our stay extra special A huge thank you to Leena and Julie on reception 😊 🙏 You are both a credit to the Harbour hotel Shout out to the bar team who whip up some very tasty cocktails We would highly recommend you visit this beautiful hotel 😊
The pool was stunning. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. Beautiful location. So close to the beach and shops. Felt very safe as a solo traveler.
I was in a single room and there was quite a large gap around the main door frame. The light in the hallway was on all night one night which lit up my room and kept me awake all night. So take an eye mask just in case. Other than that everything was amazing and I definitely want to return.
the good bits were quality of food in the restaurant and an ideal hotel in good weather. The not so good; within the first 24 hrs we were billed for two items (1 drink, 1 food) that we didn't receive (these were corrected after they were pointed out). The drink was a dry sherry we ordered but the waitress came back to say it was not available, however it remained on the bill. Finally (possibly we should take responsibility) I am fairly certain that my wife left her prescription glasses in the bathroom, (they are not at home and we didn't stop on the return journey) after several phone calls and corresponding promises no information has been forthcoming.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant overlooking the sea. Very well equipped rooms, fresh bottled water daily was a nice touch.
There was nothing not to like
Breakfast was good. We enjoyed a continental breakfast.
We were in a room outside the main hotel, 107, and were opposite lots of extremely full and overflowing large waste bins. So disappointing.
Location plus amenities
N/A
Nice room. Good location. Reasonable pool. Pleasant waiting staff. Veranda area outside bedroom was great to use to provide some shade from the heat.
Small car park with inadequate parking. We were not advised until after booking and paying! Reception area was being refurbished - noisy and often early in the morning - strange timing July? Breakfast service - often finished breakfast before tea and coffee arrived. Clubs and members using the leisure facilities. Drinks and dining a little over-priced for the quality
We stayed at Salcombe Harbour Hotel as part of a trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived to a friendly welcome from the reception team and checked into a lovely sea view room, complete with a sweet treat gift and hand written postcard wishing us a happy anniversary; thoughtful personalised touches that helped to make our stay special. We headed to the terrace for a swim in the outdoor pool which was glorious on another hot, sunny day. Continental breakfast the following morning was fresh and plentiful, served by friendly staff. There seemed to be just one staff member fulfilling hot drinks orders, additional resource here would be welcomed to speed things up and we noticed this last time we stayed at SHH last summer. Checkout was swift and friendly. We look forward to staying again. Thank you SHH staff for another lovely stay.
Location was about it
Not enough parking for the amount of guests Rooms had no ventilation or air con it was awful to the point I had the main door wide open and a member of staff felt the need to look in while walking by at 6 am (room was at the end of the corridor so had no need to be down there) Our room lacked private outdoor seating other than every other room £7.50 a pint out of a plastic cup… £20 odd quid burger out of a take away box Advertises breakfast included which to be fair it is, but bits of melon, flap jack or pastry or cereal. Actual cooked breakfasts which are usually included with a breakfast package where additional cost Overall expensive for what it is or trying to be I suppose it’s more down to location really
A lovely hotel in a great location with a view over the sea. Lovely pool and gardens and the spa was great too. Everything was spotlessly clean. Our room was lovely with a seating area outside. It was very hot when we stayed so we were pleased that there was a fan in the room. Nice toiletries and a bath! Complimentary gin and tonic in the room on arrival. Breakfast and dinner were nice. Lovely view from the dining room. The staff were very pleasant.
Nothing
Beautiful room 37 Position in Sidmouth
Building works going on in reception, started very early in the morning below our room. Shower plug blocked with hair and water not going away, my husband cleared a lot of hair out, not very nice! Very hot in our bedroom. Car parking not great.
A really lovely hotel in a great location. We visited during the July heatwave so the pool was very welcome and I made the most of it. The spa was also lovely and it had an indoor pool too. Our room was lovely and they gave us a big fan which was very welcome. We had a view over the sea and a rooftop seating area. The hotel is spotlessly clean. We also had a bath which we really. appreciated. It was quiet with no traffic noise. We were able to park in the car park no problem. Breakfast was nice. Dinner quite good. Overall a great comfortable stay.
Very helpful staff. Excellent location. Swimming pool and restaurant
No air conditioning
Excellent breakfast and outdoor pool area
no air conditioning and very hot temperatures.
We found the Hotel to be wonderfully set out in lovely grounds with views of Sidmouth Bay and beyond. The grounds have some wonderful terraces for outside dining adjacent to the dining room. The Dining room is superb and all of the staff are wonderful and extremely helpful. We will return
Room 6 was lovely. Shutters and a private balcony overlooking a great view of sidmouth. Terrace bar had great views and was modern and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Had to rearrange the room to lay our suitcases down, and an issue common to all hotels it seem, not much space in the bathroom to put out ones wash items.
Modern and clean
Bath water not very hot and slow to run. Entry door hard to open. Too hot in room even though fan supplied no air con.
The room was excellent and luxurious, the bathroom excellent. The location is perfect for a stay in Sidmouth. The aspect and restaurant were fantastic with great views. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was very good. Generally a great atmosphere
There was limited parking, but we were lucky to get a space and so not a problem
All
Everything
From beggining to end we felt very welcomed by genuinely caring happy polite staff. Creating a lovely atmosphere. The hotel sits with beautiful views of the sea. We were lucky to be in a heatwave. Which allowed us to sit outside on our balcony late into the night. The walk from hotel along sea front is easy and just minutes away.. We were celebrating my Mothers 90th Birthday which was warmly recognised by the Hotel who not only gave her an upgrade but left her birthday card and gifts. Along with a special birthday cake for after our meal. It was all so unexpected and appreciated very much by Mum and ourselves.
Lovely boutique hotel with beautiful sea views and superb facilities, particularly the outdoor swimming pool, good food in the restaurant, comfortable bed, free parking in the public car park opposite the hotel (staff give you a voucher on arrival), short walk into Sidmouth which has great facilities and a lovely beach.
No air conditioning, service in the restaurant was a bit slow for breakfast and dinner
Lovely location. Good food and facilities. A good night's sleep.
The fact that the price only included a continental breakfast.
Our 3rd short break here since May 2025 which says it all. We always choose a courtyard room, partly for their value for money, but also because they are lovely rooms, even if not the best views! We booked this time at fairly short notice, as the weather was good and we love the outdoor pool, and also beach just a few minutes away and swims in the sea. As someone has also said, the room was hot but we appreciated the fan, and this heatwave is exceptional so we are all having to rethink the idea of aircon. Our window was open all night, we felt quite safe. Staff welcoming and friendly, recognised a couple of the waiters from previous visits so they can obviously retain good staff. Our package included a cream tea, plus the cooked breakfast and dinner both nights. Food is excellent but it was so hot, we didn’t feel very hungry, not the hotel’s fault! We will be back, even in the winter we can enjoy the food more and the indoor small pool/jacuzzi.
Breakfast continental style was extremely good. Location of hotel was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful and efficient. Very good facilities - including outside swimming pool.
Dining room was warm due to glass windows but it was a heatwave so understandable
The location of the hotel was good. The pool area and the lounges were very good. All staff we dealt with also extremely good. We did use the spa and the massage was very good as well.
The room itself was very poor. I should think it must’ve been the least popular room on the block. The room did not have any windows only a patio door so this security aspect was restricted on our stay the evening temperature rose to 28° in the room as you can’t imagine this made it very difficult to sleep. No AC in the room only a fan to push warm around the bathroom itself looks a bit dated a lot of hard water builder on the showerhead. When we arrived, we were told check-in was 3 o’clock so we hung around until then I need to be told that our real still wasn’t ready until 330. The following day we went out came back and sat around the pool went back to our rooms, but at 5 o’clock it was still not cleaned so we had to wait another 15 minutes until they finish. For the cost of the room all expected a cooked breakfast to be provided only to be told a continental breakfast is included but cooked breakfast is an additional £10 per person.
Good location to start with, but check-in was 3pm but actually rooms weren’t available until 3:30. No parking on site so had to park of site. The room itself must have been the worst in the hotel. Room 160 no windows only a patio door, no A/c only a room fan. So with a room at 29dregrees at night no draught to keep the room cool, sleeping was unbearable! Could really open the patio door as we overlooked the car park, bins and the adjoining balcony could have been a security issue. First day our room was. Not cleaned until gone 5pm , so a lot of hanging around in the day. The other issue was when I booked it breakfast was included, but on arrival was told it was continental only. Wasn’t clear on booking. Com On a positive note all staff were great in all areas, food was good. Hotel is clean and tidy. Spa was good massages was very good. Will look to come back or try other locations in the future.
Great facilities, fabulous location and friendly staff
Nothing it was lovely!
Great location, sea facing & close to the town. The bed was comfortable & the room was equipped as expected. Good to have mainly child free pool & spa access.
I feel that the hotel stay was overpriced at almost £700 for two nights. I booked my stay for a big birthday celebration & unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. The balcony area was an open deck, which means other guests can access the space & it didn't feel private. The spa area is small & would become easily crowded. There were a few maintainance issues with the spa area & room, which made it feel tired. For example, the carpet in my room was worn & slats on the balcony decking were uneven & unpainted in areas. The staff were friendly, but sometimes carried on conversations with each other before attending to guests. I would expect greater attention to customer service for a hotel at this price point. A complimentary gin was left in the room, but I don't drink and so I missed out on this perk. It would be a good idea to provide an alcohol free alternative. The additional £10 charge for a cooked breakfast also seems very odd, given the overall price of the stay!
Breakfast and the spa facilities and light lunches plus drinks.
Where our room was located, doors slamming and the constant noise on the boardwalk through to other rooms.
Great views across the sea
