No gents toilet on the ground floor
Everything.
Parking was a little tight, though it did work
Location
No air con
Great location. Friendly staff. Large room and very comfortable.
Dust behind the radiator in room 1. Hasn't been cleaned for hundreds of years.
Excellent hotel with wonderful staff in great location
This is a minor point but a lack of parking is the only thing I didn't like .
Location,
Room 4 uncomfortably hot despite the fans.
Big comfortable bed with huge pillows. Dinner delicious. Breakfast lots of choice. Location excellent near theatre and town centre.
Couldn't get in the car park but we should have arrived earlier!
Staff and location very good. Breakfast good.
Room small and hot at night.
Location and breakfast.only ten minutes walk to the theatre we had tickets for and literally 100 yards from a local park. Very clean everywhere. Staff so helpful and welcoming.
The lift is ancient and not fit for purpose. Lack of air conditioning.
We were in a top floor room which was spacious & bathroom was very large. Bed was comfortable too. We didn't have time for breakfast as was a quick overnight stay - but we enjoyed drinks at the bar in the evening. Staff all very lovely!
Location
Not much BH
Very handy for city
I had junior suite allegedly but Was far from it and not easy to access it
Beautiful old building and views. Comfy bed and good bathroom
Lusted building so will never have air con. Nor one to stay in in a hot summer
Perfect location, great room and friendly staff.
Comfortable and well equipped room, friendly staff, great location near the park and town centre. The availability of the spa was a bonus.
The restaurant dishes we had were of mixed quality.
An excellent choice for a city centre stay. The hotel seemed very well organised and we enjoyed our stay there.
A better explanation of how to access the car park would be useful.
We arrived around 4pm and there was still parking available in the hotel's car park. I would have been disappointed if the car park was full, so arrive not too late if you want to guarantee a space! The hotel, despite being an old property, has been very well renovated and looks smart and comfortable. It is in a very good location for Chichester town and for Chichester Festival Theatre.
The cost for accommodation was quite high and breakfast was an extra charge (on my board basis). It is quite expensive but I presume this is partly due to the location and quality of the hotel.
Location, rooms, food all very good . Staff tremendous, very nice bar area , good value daily fixed price menu .
No mens toilet downstairs !
Lovely Georgian hotel with superb room and bathroom. Staff always friendly and helpful. Managed to park in their small car park which was quite an achievement! We will be back.
Breakfast each day, Evening meals each day, and varied menu.
Had no complaints at all
Accessibility
Labyrinth of narrow, steep stairs towards and back from our Room 16…….. but then we are of advanced years
Lovely big room and comfortable bed, nice staff (bar and reception). Nice amenities in the room.
Very hot rooms, some noise above us throughout the night.
Small and very stuffy room with uncomfortable single bed.I thought i d booked doubke bed room for single occupancy
Loved the location and looked lovely the communal areas and the rooms
The waiting time for breakfast or to be served generally, a lot of miscommunication with bookings and the £100 fee to receive back after you leave as this isn’t told prior to booking the prices of the bar are high and is quite costly for a weekend
Fantastic building & location. Nice bar and restaurant. Very comfortable bed with absolutely everything you would need for a hotel stay.
There isn’t air con but it wasn’t a problem as the hotel is quite airy and we had a powerful fan in our room.
Convenient spot near to town and theatre Great air con downstairs Friendly staff Nice decor Enjoyed the evening meal with My Fair Lady themed menu
Bedrooms too warm despite fans being provided Lift very small and with extremely creaky door at reception level!
Air conditioned restaurant / bar area. Very convenient for CFT. Good food / excellent breakfast selection
Limited parking
Beautifully appointed room with very comfortable bed.
No air conditioning. Well communicated in advance but just not really comfortable in 37+ degrees in summer.
Beau lieu et bel emplacement Décoration soignée et accueil agréable
Salle de bain petite, fenêtres impossibles à ouvrir plus que de quelques centimètres, dommage lorsque l’été est chaud et l’hôtel sans climatisation
The ambience of the building was lovely. The quality of the bed linen, towels and comfort of the mattress were exceptional.I liked the friendliness of the staff particularly as we were part of a group attending a wedding. The mini bar fridge size was large allowing for other purchases such as a pint of milk for tea.
We ordered room service one night which let the hotel down and reduced my score .a cheese toastie and fries should be delivered in an edible state, this was hot bread without pickles as per menu and unmelted cheese. We had over salted fries and condiments were not delivered.
Coffee in the bar available throughout the day. Breakfast good.Location excellent for evening shows at the Chichester Festival Theatre. The fan was appreciated as no air con.
We experienced a lot of noise of someone walking up and down the room above until 2 am. Need to sort the flloorboards or put in more floor insulation.
I came here for 1 night as my dad is on end of life care at st Richard’s and I live in London the lady behind the welcome desk was absolutely amazing. She was kind caring supportive and all round fantastic eith the situation I am in currently. She helped me she made me feel better and she listen to me she made my feeling valid and was just so kind beyond words and I will never forget it
Nothing
Good location, nice Spa facilities, good restaurant.
All very good
We like the central location, clean and comfortable rooms and en suite bathrooms. We've stayed here many times.
Very busy at breakfast (9.00am) so service was slow
Well positioned in the city centre. Friendly staff. Clean room.
Central location
Food poor
It was close to everything we needed for the stay
The bar staff were very rude at the end of the night wasn’t at the bar to serve going missing for long periods of time didn’t call last orders so wasn’t aware that it shut so was told they wasn’t serving anymore
Excellent breakfast and location
Nothing
Great and mostly quiet location on the edge of the town centre, with shops, cafes and restaurants all withing a few minutes' walk. A well presented building with characterful communal areas. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was a good size, with a nice bathroom and a comfortable bed. A large fan was provided, but for the quality of the hotel the room could have benefitted from air conditioning. The restaurant was very good, with a reduced price theatre menu, and offered a good choice for breakfast, either continental or traditional.
Lack of air conditioning in the room
Perfect location, on site parking (subject to first come first served), cleanliness and quirkiness.
It’s a listed building which means it may not appeal to everyone. However, I would say , give it a try.
Receptionist was fabulous. That's where it stopped.
Room definitely wasn't worth what we paid for it. Very poor value for money. We were in a box room, overlooking what looked like derelict buildings.
Great hotel with history, well located in Chichester
Could have done with aircon, the fan didn’t really meet our needs on the third floor - a hot and uncomfortable night I’m afraid. Also the tv was not fit for purpose (wouldnt tune into programmes, seemed to be looking for signal)
Location
Long thin corridos
The property is clean and in a good location.
There is no air conditioning and the windows can only be opened about 3 or 4 inches. There is literally no cross breeze and the fan just blows hot air. I suspect that a stay that’s not in the summer would be very pleasant but being on the 3rd floor in July was absolutely miserable. At about 11 pm it was about 67 degrees outside which is very comfortable but my blue tooth thermometer showed the room was 87 degrees. I got absolutely no sleep. The restaurant is good and the room is well appointed but unfortunately these things can’t compensate for getting no sleep and constantly having to drink water to stay hydrated.
Excellent location and staff
The location is great, very central to everything and easy for walking around
Bed very comfortable. Excellent shower heat and pressure. Very convenient for theatre and town centre. Full English breakfast very good and coffee nice.
My breakfast was a bit of a let down. Pancakes tough and overnight oats a bit slimey.
Good bed. Friendly staff (Beth was great)
Couldn't open the window more than a fraction and the room smelt strongly of onions (or something like that). Breakfast was poor. The bubble and squek was a crumbly lump of under cooked potatoe and diced carrot (really bad). We waited nearly ten minutes to check in. For £200 + for 1 night it was disappointing.
Room was very beautifully decorated and relaxing. In room facilities were excellent. Bathroom was luxurious.
Room was small but it comfortable
Beautiful place , comfy bed
We stayed during an extreme hot period . We understand it’s a listed building but for it to survive in years to come , even portable air con units in the rooms would be beneficial . The staff did their utmost to help but the only air con was in the bar . We had a large room and we had to get two fans and could only open the windows a certain amount due to birds . This doesn’t take away that the staff were extremely accommodating to try and help . We had to keep coming down to cool off .
Location was fantastic and the staff was friendly and informative.
There was a wedding there the night I stayed and my room was directly over the reception area. The music was so loud the floor was shaking. There was a note in the room warning me about it and there had been a message sent before my arrival but I didn't anticipate exactly how loud it would be. I couldn't have gone to bed early if I wanted to. It was fine because I was in town for leisure but had I been there for business this would have been an issue.
Convenient to town and in a quiet area
No air conditioning available other than a small fan - I appreciate it is not normally needed and it was exceptionally hot but a chain of hotels charging in excess of £200 per night should in today’s times surely have aircon available
It was very pleasant staff were friendly food was great at breakfast there was complementary gin which I didn’t drink and complementary water that I did …
Could’ve been slightly cleaner I’m aware that my standards are incredibly high being the owner of a cleaning company
Lovely historic hotel, situated in a great location. Hotel is clean and very comfortable and all staff we encountered were friendly, hapoy to have a laugh and have a joke.
Due to it being a historic building, air conditioning is not available so on really warm nights a fab is the only option bit all in all that did not detract to much from our stay.
Beautiful interior
Nothing
Very central location
Too expensive for the room
Located in a beautiful building which gave the common areas a light and open feel. Great location on a quiet end of the main town. Not much parking on site but plenty readily available close by.
As it's an old building there isn't AC in the rooms so it can be a little warm in the bedrooms and hard to open the windows due to locks. Fans provided which helped. The lift has very noisy doors (one external and one internal grill door) so any rooms close to them can hear the opening and closing quite clearly. Could be helped with some decent sound proofing to both. We ended up moving from a lovely room due to this which was a shame. The bar was very off putting for a pre/post dinner drink, too many lights and hard surfaces so not what we would be expecting given the aesthetic elsewhere.
Nice big room, clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff. Parking on site at £10 a night. Massive bed.
Great location, helpful staff on the whole.
Bar staff weren’t very helpful they had run out of syrup for a particular cocktail and didn’t try to offer alternative options.
Локацията , чистотата и отношението на персонала !
Че бях за кратко 😕
Breakfast was great
Needs refurb in areas
Comfortable (superior/premium) room and v good bed. Car park (£10 per night). Excellent location.
Nice hotel but quite expensive so not great value for money. Continental breakfast was no better than ‘ok’. The cooked breakfast I had last time was good, I recall.)
Very central with parking
Nothing

Our room had a beautiful view of the cathedral. Food was extremely tasty and the jacuzzi was fabulous
Location being so central, charming staff Excellent set menu for dinner, good value
The location otherwise the rest was awful
They had almost no staff - the ceilings so low in the bedrooms that two of my boys had to share a room as the room was far too tiny - a converted cupboard - the lift was like a prison cell and I was asked if one of my sons would carry my suitcase upstairs.
Beautifully furnished and expected. Lovely and clean. Excellent staff and service.
It was the hottest week of the year. The room was hot and the fan they provided was a bit noisy.
Not a great choice
Small room no aircon
Beautiful property. So convenient for walking around town and visiting the cathedral.
Car park gets very busy.
Great location and staff
Very dated rooms. Small, stuffy, no AC, bed was sagging, other facilities also old. Navigating up and down dozens of little stairs without any other access was difficult.
The location was very good. Car parking was good. A much needed fan was provided.
The worst thing was that the room faced the road, as well as other residential properties and there were no net curtains. As a result we had to keep the heavy curtains permanently closed making the room very dark.
The staff were very friendly helpful and professional, the location is superb for the town and especially the Theatre, the hotel interior is a beautiful setting. Although parking is limited we had no problem during our stay
Location was great; generous provision of toiletries , coffee , tea and water everyday . Staff were polite and helpful
The hotel does not have air conditioning so although they provided a fan, it was difficult to sleep in this heat.
The heritage
Nothing
Lovely breakfast and great location. Staff very friendly.
Spa facilities were out of order. TV could not access Netflix
Bath was faulty - didn’t hold water! Room was tiny. Paid an awful lot of money for a superior room and it didn’t meet expectations.
Warm and relaxing atmosphere. Pleasant and helpfull staff. The room was clean and well presented. Easy access to the town and all its amenities. The breakfast menu was very good.
Car parking was expensive
Character of hotel and it's history. Parking was handy. Lady on reception was great, very friendly
Our room wasn't cleaned the first day. Sure, we left the room late, btu our room, and another on our floor weren't cleaned. Top floor room, single glazed, cold May night <9 degrees, no heating. Spa facilities being upgraded, so all closed - a bit reason to book, no discount! The restaurant where we ate one night was disappointing and expensive, the waitress was overly friendly, then pushed us out earlier than we wanted by delivering the bill, then to rub salt into the wounds, early last orders around 2200h. No bread, all very odd. Recommend to eat out, sorry!
Location was perfect for the centre of Chichester
We had a small room at the very top of the hotel. Whilst it was comfortable with a big bed and decent shower it felt like a room kept to one side for late bookings via Booking.Com. Just didn’t feel very premium for the money. Also the hotel car park is not actually owned by them and you get charged £10 per day which I have never experienced in the other 5 Harbour hotels we have stayed in.
Comfy bed, nice architecture, good location
Too expensive, small room, indifferent staff and parking charges
The location was brilliant and the staff were friendly. The cocktails in the bar were amazing and bar staff were also lovely.
We didn’t know the spa would be closed which was disappointing. The room was a little tired and a few long hairs in the bath.
Great location, lovely building, comfortable bed
Bathrooms were a bit out of date
Single bed comfortable, nice shower, fairly spacious.
Limited parking fist come first served. Wanted credit card £50 for incedentals. Small noisy room could hear people talking, utility room next door noisy electrical (dishwashers?) Workers moving cutlery or dishes early morning. £18:00 for breakfast is very expensive (I declined)
Well located near city centre and Chichester Festival Theatre. Decent breakfast and friendly staff. Clean. Very comfortable bed.
Room very warm even with windows open. Fan provided which helped but ought not to be necessary in May and low temperatures
Location and public areas
Not enough parking. Too many stairs.
Great location Great staff Lovely decor
We got charged another £6 per person for breakfast even I had breakfast included . When pointing this out I was told hot breakfast is extra. It’s not the money but the principle. Bit stingy I thought. Also the car park should be included .
Nice room, lovely hotel
Steam room was unavailable. Walls were extremely thin so could hear almost everything in the room Next to me. Room was insanely warm with little ventilation
Beautiful old building with a lovely spacious and luxurious room. Very well located
You have to pay for parking and it’s a small tight carpark
Fantastic location for exploring Chichester or for the theatre.
Arrive early for the hotel car park although there is plenty of parking nearby..
great cooked breakfast
Very nice atmosphere; breakfast good and attentive service.
The room didn't have an upright chair so using the desk was tricky.
Location
Fridge in room buzzing on and off through the night keeping me awake!
The staff and the rooms were excellent ,service and food also good .
Location and they upgraded our room
Lift was noisy and our room was right opposite it
Character, ambience.
We were upgraded to a larger room which was great. Only issue was, whoever was staying in the room above, that they were walking very heavily both late at night and very early in the morning and the floor boards were very creaky and squeaky and it kept us awake at night and woke us up very in the morning 😩.
