A great spot on the edge of town, the Chichester Inn is a lovely traditional pub/hotel. The landlord, Nick, was the perfect host and couldn't be more accommodating if he tried, even starting breakfast half an hour earlier for us. The room we had was a great size for three of us and the beds were ultra comfy. Considering that the day we booked for was the University Graduation Ceremony day the room rate was not extortionate at all. The price included breakfast which was also very well cooked and very tasty indeed. I would definitely book here again the next time we come down to the beautiful city of Chichester!

The only drawback was the small size of the shower cubicle in our room and the fact that the doors to said cubicle didn't meet in the middle. This caused water to escape and part flood the bathroom!

Everything. Is our 2nd stay there. Elliott is so friendly and welcoming . Room is fab and breakfast is scrummy. Elliott please book us in for whole weekend next year when you know date of sausage and cider and country festivals.

OldPub/Hotel so expect some quirks! Breakfast included and very well cooked full english! Nice pub with good handpumped beers. Staff really friendly and helpful. Has own Car Park. Location - Hotel backs onto the Cathedral Gardens and is 5 mins walk into town centre.

Shower took a while to get used to! steep stairs (but staff will help with luggage). That's it!

It was in a great position for cathedral and town centre, and a short walk to the theatre. It had a private car park. The room was clean, beds comfortable and en suite fine. Tv and kettle supplied. Beer good.

The room was comfortable. The location was excellent, the food was very good and the staff were helpful and approachable.

The breakfast was excellent - all freshly cooked. The location was great within walking distance of the city centre.

It didn't open until 12 so more of a pub than an hotel. Room very poorly appointed. Owner not welcoming at all. On the positive side good parking and a nice garden.

The reception was excellent as was the breakfast, the host was convivial and most helpful. The room was clean but basic the shower was low flow.

Tired appearance. Sadly, the Glorious Goodwood was in progress so the cost of the room was well in excess of the quality. in short Convivial but expensive.

I had a light breakfast but it was good. Buffet quite sufficient.

Das Zimmer war sehr liebevoll dekoriert und ausgestattet. Wir hatten auch Zugang zu einem kleinen Balkon, auf dem wir die Abendsonne genießen konnten. Unsere beiden Fahrräder konnten in einem kleinen Innenhof abgestellt werden. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und man hatte eine reichliche Auswahl. Am Abend zuvor hatten wir auch im hoteleigenen Restaurant zu Abend gegessen. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Wir können das The Chichester Inn weiterempfehlen.

Super nettes Personal, hervorragendes Frühstück (frisch gekocht), schöner Pub mit Garten, Zimmer schön eingerichtet. Liebevoll eingerichtet!

The breakfast was included in the price and was cooked with a couple of different choices. I thought the rooms looked lovely when I walked in - pretty cushions on the beds with a coordinated colour bedspread and iron bedsteads. Shower worked well (not a dribble) and a big TV. There was a wardrobe if needed and coffee / tea making facilities.

My only thought was that there could be more milk for the tea as those little pots never have enough.

Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked. Served by friendly and helpful staff.

The room was basic. The shower didn't work very well, the decor was tired, it was hot with no air con.

Location very good just at the bottom of the town with a car park and backing onto Bishops Gardens

No way is this a 3 star hotel. It’s basic rooms over a pub. Good: friendly helpful staff. Poor: location right beside the ring road. Too noisy to open a window. Curtains didn’t keep out the light. Tiny cramped room all peculiar shapes. Small far from new mat on the floor. Bathroom shower very stiff, and old and damaged, I thought it didn’t work. Poor curtains let in the light. Minimal breakfast. Switched on heated towel rail by mistake (not labelled), so hot it burned me.

The staff were lovely, chatty and friendly. The bar, garden, location were really good. The breakfast and dinner more than acceptable, and we have a lot of experience of staying in hotels/pubs.

Me and my husband absolutely loved the hotel and the. greeting from Elliot he was so welcoming. And the bar staff and lovely feel to the atmosphere and the comfortable sofas outside the bed was the most come to this bed that we have slept in I love the decor. And the full English breakfast which was cooked by Elliott was absolutely outstanding. I would highly recommend this hotel.

There was no heating in the room. The shower was turned off at a switch outside the room which I didn't notice. I appreciate that showers have to have an isolator switch but it doesn't need to be turned off.

The breakfast was fine (served in the front bar). A good choice from a cooked range plus cereals, juice, toast, tea, coffee. The room was a decent size, the beds comfortable. The location could hardly be bettered for anyone wishing to be in the city itself. It was surprisingly quiet, although being on the road about 100 yards from the cathedral. Plenty of places to eat in the evenings if you want to go out, all within easy walking distance. There is private parking at the rear, for which no charge is currently made.

The small shower room was adequate but it would be improved by having a shelf of at least somewhere where things can be kept. The toilet seat requires fixing properly.

The location was very central amd convenient for the historic centre of the town. And the Chichester Inn is basically a pub with some rooms to let, so it is very down-to-earth.

The bed was a single, so it was a little small. But then the room was quite small, so a bigger bed might not have fit.

Excellent breakfast. Cooked to order, really good ingredients. We had dinner in the pub one night and again the food was excellent and good value. Room 4 has a little balcony, which was a lovely extra that we weren't expecting. The staff were what made this stay. The father and son owners, the chefs, and the cleaners were so cheerful and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, they went over and beyond. For example, check out was 10 'ish', our travel coffee cups were filled with fresh coffee for our journey home. It was all very laid back.

There's nothing immediate that could have been improved but longer term there's a couple of things, for example, the decorating in our room needed a bit of TLC (wall paper on the ceiling was coming down). The mattress had seen better days I think (it was very soft). But these are minor details compared to the warm welcome and excellent service we received.

Lovely, quirky inn with basic facilities but everything you would need for a short stay. Really lovely staff. Fantastic breakfast.

The location of this Inn is excellent for the centre of Chichester. The parking is great. The place itself is charmingly decorated inside. The staff are very friendly and nice.

The main problem is that this is a pub, not a hotel. It doesn't have a Reception, it only opens at midday and keeps pub hours. It had no evening meal on a Saturday night. Breakfast starts at 9am which is hopeless for travellers who often have to leave early. Our host kindly made breakfast for us at 8.30 but others need to be aware.

Chichester Inn is a nice old pub with decent cask ales and some rooms upstairs. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cooked breakfast was good. Location is excellent, right by the cathedral and maybe 10-15 min walk from the station. 5-10 min walk to Pallant House.

If I'd wanted more, I'd have gone for a posh hotel

Breakfast very good. Staff amiable and helpful. It's worth mentioning a bit about the location - from the map I expected that it might be a bit noisy (it's next to a roundabout) but my room was perfectly quiet and I slept very well.

Can't think of anything to dislike.

It would have been very useful to know that the kitchen didn’t operate on a Sunday evening, which is when I was staying. I didn’t know that until I arrived.!

Staff were without exception friendly and helpful. Location great, room clean and bright. Breakfast lovely, though a bit chilly for me in the morning!

Could hear people in room opposite talking (they weren't loud!), not much insulation. Though no noise from bar.

Location was perfect, cosy pub with spacious pretty beer garden. Free carparking. Enjoyed the cooked breakfast & staff were very smiley. There happened to be an Open Mic night on the night which was nice to experience.

This was the perfect place to stay for a visit to the university. Within walking distance (20 mins) & even closer to the cathedral & main shopping streets. The carpark was a big bonus (space not guaranteed but the owner was willing to help us double park if no space - wasn’t necessary but very helpful & reassuring to know!). Room was super clean & beds very comfy. Breakfast was delicious. All staff really friendly & helpful. Thank you :)
