Great rooms.

Didn't look good from outside. More than made up for.

Very nice room with luxury touches . No charge laundry facilities including detergent and fabric softener.

Parking lot was a little rough. Don’t judge a book by its cover - this was our best stay in all of Newfoundland .

We liked everything about the property - a true hidden gem.

As 2 senior citizens with some mobility issues we had to plan our comings and goings. Thankfully, the very nice young lady who checked us in offered to help us with our luggage.

What a surprise were the riverside suites? Entering thru a very average convenience store to go upstairs into two very upmarket rooms, a suite and a queen sized room was an incredible surprise in Grand Falls-Windsor. Tastefully setup and it was a delight to stay. Staff very helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend

Nothing, maybe the stairs going up to the rooms with luggage but we made it work.

This facility is five rooms on the second floor over a convenience store. At first, I was rather confused, but then, upon entering the variety store, was assured I was in the right place. The rooms are on the second floor and have been newly renovated. Very nice facilities! And, once I got used to the idea, it was quite convenient to be upstairs from a nice convenience store!

The one thing that I did not like was, there was a rumbling vibration through the entire room. Since my room was above the convenience, stores restaurant, I think it was the kitchen’s exhaust fan. Whatever it was, it was turned off at 8:45 PM and not an issue for the rest of the evening.

L’extérieur était plutôt surprenant on croyait s’être trompé d’endroit la réception étant dans une épicerie mais après avoir vu les chambres on a décidé de rester

The room was comfortable, well equipped and decorated. The facilities were modern.

It would have been preferable to not have to climb the outside stairs.

They did a great job on the suites, exception service from the staff.

Needs better signage outside, was misleading as it felt you were in the wrong place.

Room was incorrectly advertised. It was in a drug used area of town, above a convenience store with no security for my auto. I did not stay so I found other better accommodation for the same price!!!

Hidden gem!

Very good place. Big comfortable room. Great bathroom. Staff very kind and helpful. Grocery on site.

Our room was very comfortable, and we truly appreciated that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The care and attention to creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience did not go unnoticed. We had a wonderful stay and would gladly return. We also had lunch at the Riverside restaurant @ the Salmonid centre and it was delicious!

Terrible location, no accessibility, cooking smells, it was a dump. We cancelled and left.

Looks are deceiving! Wasn’t expecting to check-in at the convenience store, BUT happy we did! Nicely appointed new rooms. Contemporary decor. Great mattress!!

Difficulty finding it - didn’t see the Suites sign on the building facing the parking lot. Consider adding a free-standing sign near the street/parking entrance.

Very clean modern room we had. Would definitely stay there again.

The place was spacious and comfortable. Well stocked and clean.

The check in at the variety store. Other than the variety store there is nothing but industry around it. Never saw the river. Didn’t like that the owner originally assumed that because we were only two people we didn’t need both bedrooms and therefore had to come up and unlock the second bedroom. If we wanted a one bedroom we would have rented a one bedroom.

Clean and modern. Best place we stayed in Newfoundland. Friendly staff. Would come back! You go into a convenience store to check in, do not be fooled by the simple building exterior, the rooms are so nice!

Wow. When we arrived I thought, "Oh, my, what have I reserved for us?" But once we reached the room we were absolutely blown away! We scored the most luxurious room on the island! The bed was super comfortable. Best sleep I've had in weeks! The shower - felt like we were staying in a 5-star resort! The room was filled with tiny "extras" that made it oh so perfect!

Clearer instructions for our arrival would have helped. We weren't even sure we were in the right place.

It's a hidden gem the owners new what they were doing when they were renovating there property. From the out side you would not expect the inside to be wow.

The only issue is the rooms are on the second floor. If you have mobility issues this would be a problem.

The rooms and upstairs has been completely remodeled, they are new and modern. The Owner is very accommodating and worked very hard to provide us with everything we needed. Note: from the outside, you would not know that the whole upper level has been renovated, so the look from the exterior was not very impressive, but inside was a completely different story.

Trucks and cars would pull up to the front of the building, park then go inside to the small restaurant and leave there vehicles running for extended periods of time. This was especially true for trucks including diesel half ton trucks. This is noisy and annoying for the rooms on the second floor. The heating and cooling system was hard to control and coordinate. Better instructions on its operation & control are required.

A quaint store with lovely staff and beautiful modern suites upstairs. Would definitely recommend staying there and experiencing the charming people and surroundings. Probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!

Newly redone apartment above a convenience store. Very nice, clean, updated facility. The checkin was very easy, staff very helpful and friendly. The area has a nice walk to the river and small trail for exploring.

Beautiful apartment and queen room. First rate accommodation. Just as pictured. Very friendly staff. Don’t be put off when you drive up. It’s above a convenience store, which is where you check in.

The room was very nice and spotless, employees were great I will definitely go back if ever in that area again.I will be honest and say that had I not found this place online and had the opportunity to look at pictures I would not have went in if I found it just looking around town - Looks can be deceiving!

So easy to check in and everyone was so friendly and helpful. The room was wonderful with an unexpectedly stunning bathroom. There was a huge tv and washer dryer available to help us recover from our day kayaking. Staff were great at the store down below and ice cream was steps away too! Thanks for an awesome stay!

First impressions negative. Changed when we entered the suite. Modern, Clean, State of the art. Owners, family and friends all bent over backwards to make our stay great. I would heartily recommend this suite to all my friends

Absolutely beautiful room with all the right amenities. The renovations were exceptional

This is an awesome place to stay, but when we first arrived we thought we'd made a terrible mistake. There's a well-supplied convenience store on the ground floor, but don't let that dissuade you. Once we got to our room upstairs, all doubts were destroyed, and we LOVED it. The room was new and very clean, with an awesome big king bed and plenty of room. Bathroom is ideal -- big and spacious, with a fantastic shower with a hand-held shower wand. The fridge worked well and everything in the room felt very new and in top condition. We never heard a peep from the other rooms during our stay, though we know they were full. Cleaning staff were in the hallways daytime and very friendly, and respected our do-not-disturb sign. They were quiet in the hallways and never disturbed us once. And they have full laundry facilities on site, on the same floor as our rooms. The location is super convenient, you're walking distance from a movie theatre, several restaurants and shopping. And when you're retiring to the room for the evening, the shop downstairs has all the drinks & snacks you could want, plus fresh-made sandwiches and more. Staff was awesome. We'll be back.

Room was very modern, bed was very comfortable, frig and coffee station in room, large TV, staff was friendly and helpful, full size free washer & dryer available with laundry detergent, filtered water station.

It's on a busy corner so heard traffic during the night. There is no view of the river.

The building is old and the area quiet, close enough to restaurants. Don’t judge the place by its exterior, the rooms are modern and the facilities impeccable. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful!

I prefer a firm bed, the mattress was too soft for my taste, but very comfortable.

A most surprisingly lovely room .. the outside looks very ordinary and the suites are above a convenience store BUT don’t be put off .. the room was really wonderful! Large, very clean and quiet. We had an amazing jacuzzi bath in the room ! Plus a great shower . Huge bed, chocs by bed, coffee machine, fridge . Loads of soft towels and toiletries.

Newly renovated with spot-on decor. Had all amenities in our suite.

Great stay at Riverside Suites. Check in was easy at the store downstairs from the rooms. We were pleasantly surprised that our room was upgraded to the Jacuzzi sweet. Nothing's better than watching Jeopardy on the tele whilst hot tubbing! The store downstairs has all the convenience offerings you'd expect as well as a restaurant/take out window. You can't go wrong with their authentic and extremely delicious cold plate! The staff were super friendly and helpful. There was a hellhound outside somewhere barking furiously most of the evening, but I understand that's not the establishments fault so I can't complain on that other than simply pointing it out. A+ all around!
