Qufu International Youth Hostel

Internet was really weak. There were no other ways of paying but in cash.

I had no problem getting to the hostel. Unlike most hostels, it's well-marked. It was clean and tidy, the staff was helpful. I communicated using a translator on my cell phone. Daily cleaning. I was alone in a spacious room with a TV, a large bed, and a toilet. I remember my stay there very well.

Tutto molto bello

The hostel is very clean and offers excellent value for money. The common room is wonderful; you can listen to music, play pool, or watch a film on the projector. Even the kitchen looks like a professional kitchen. They make American coffee, but if you want, they also make coffee with an Italian moka pot, which is a dream here in China. The chap who works at the bar/reception etc. is extremely helpful with everything, from information about the city, places to visit and where to eat, to practical matters concerning the hostel. I always go there when I'm in Qufu. Highly recommended.

Perfect place for Shaolin students! Amazing weekend vibes at the bar! Students from all over the world who train at the nearby Qufu Shaolin Kung Fu School come here to relax, creating a warm, friendly, and international atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to recover after the long journey to China — everyone from the school meets here! There’s a pool table, karaoke, a big TV screen, and even a kitchen you can use. Great place to chill and make friends. And best of all — the bar prices are very reasonable! 🍻

It was very cheap and beds reasonably comfortable.

The listing gives the impression there is a restaurant in the adjoining bar - there isn’t. When asked I was told they could make spaghetti and tomato sauce (both at lunch and dinner). The bar area is smoky and the only place we encountered that allowed smoking.

Great host & with fluent English. Nice, clean & decent room in a quiet inner courtyard. Loved the bar with its variety of Ubrew beers. Well-located between the Confucius Mansion / Temple & the Cemetery.

The hotel is located at a great location and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They accept foreigners. The bar with pool-biljart table is great and they have some craft beers on draft and chinese tea amongst others. It is a nice bar/restaurant to relax after a day sightseeing. The breakfast was limited, because there are only a few tourists due to Covid-travel restrictions in China, but still they had some tasty breakfast options (incl. a healty option of muesli with yoghurt and fruit).

The rooms at the ground floor are prone to be moist and can get mould on the walls. After we checked-in into a room with some mould, the hotel directly helped us to change into a different room.

Obwohl wir spät angekommen sind und der Koch schon weg war, wurde uns die Möglichkeit gegeben noch etwas zu Abend zu essen. Allgmein kann man das Restaurant sowohl zum Frühstück, als auch zum Essen Empfehlen. Wir haben chinesische Gerichte, Pasta und Frühstück probiert und alles war sehr gut. Das Hostel kann vom Bahnhof gut bit dem Bus B1 erreicht werden, von dem man dann entweder in die Linien 1 oder 10 umsteigt oder ein Paar Minuten läuft. Check-In funktionierte Problemlos, 100 RMB für den Zimmerschlüssel hinterlegen und ab ins sehr saubere und gemütliche Doppelzimmer, welches über Klimaanlage und Heizung verfügte. Das Bad war mit Duschgel und Handtüchern (zwei pro Person) ausgestattet. Allgemein waren wir rundum zufrieden. Dazu sind die Sehenswürdigkeiten in Qufu gut fußläufig zu erreichen!

This YHA hostel is inside the walled town of Qufu, very close to the World Heritage sites os the Kang family palace and temples. Staff are friendly and helpful - local Uni students who speak English and a kind woman manager (who doesn't) Rooms are simple but clean and there is a café.
