I booked a room for three people but the room was so small even for a one person. We couldn’t even move around the room. If you want to pass to go the bathroom you the other one has to move so that the other one can pass. I had the worst experience, I regret booking Sun 1. The receptionist was very rude, we came back after our girls night and we couldn’t open the entrance door, instead of her assisting us she shouted that we gonna break the door while we were not even aggressive towards the door, I didn’t even know that at Sun1 you are not allowed to laugh, we were not even laughing that loud but the receptionist followed us to our room making us uncomfortable saying if we don’t shut up we gonna go outside as if we are some teenagers, she could have politely asked us to keep quiet. I hate people who are rude for no reason because I paid to be there. The security guard kept on knocking on our room at 3am, wanting to talk to me. we were only 3 females and that made us question our safety at Sun1. I am so angry as I am writing this review because I keep on reflecting on that night. I really regret my stay at Sun1 especially the room that we were given for 3people. How are 3 adults expected to stay in that tiny room?

We were offered coffee on arrival but no milk available. Bedding was clean but the hardest mattress in the world, most uncomfortable sleep. Day shift receptionists most unprofessional when we checked out. We weren't even acknowledged they continued having their conversation like we weren't even standing in reception.

Liked the location close to the beach, casino and restaurants. We had a nice stroll on the beach side while we could not go to the hospital. We explored some restaurants and got real value for money.

They were renovating the fire stairs and we could not sleep in. We also had issues with a group of children knocking at all hours on our door. This was sorted out the next day. We were in PE for mother in law that was in hospital and has since passed away.

W got the seaview room we asked for.

The place was filthy, every dustbin was overflowing, a huge mess on the stairs and in front of our room because of Sellborne school They were noisy until late and left the hotel like a pig style. we had to ask numerous times for an extra pillow, extra towel that never came. We've been going there a lot this year, but this stay was the worst ever.

No breakfast was available The service and cleanliness at SUN1 Port Elizabeth were good during my stay. However, the hotel lacks lifts entirely, and we were placed on the 3rd floor. Fortunately, I was using my crutches and not my wheelchair during this trip, or getting to the room would have been impossible. Additionally, the toilet seat was cracked and pinched my bum every time I sat on it. While the staff is pleasant and the rooms are clean, the venue is absolutely not suitable for wheelchair users or anyone with severe mobility issues due to the lack of elevators

The top bed for my 11 year old son was wet. I suspect it was urine. The matress was replaced and the blanket

It’s location is very convenient as it’s close to amenities.

Smoking should not be allowed inside. Remove that extra bed at the top, it suffocates the ones sleeping underneath and it hurts us coz we forget that it’s there. It’s dangerous to our heads.

We liked everything of the hotel. We as a family could spend lots of time together. It was very quiet and we did not have any disturbing experience.

Everything was absolutely fine with us. We have no complains regarding our stay at the hotel. It was central and we could visit lots of places.

The staff were friendly and polite throughout our stay. The check-in process was quick, and the location was convenient.

Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by a security issue. While housekeeping was cleaning nearby rooms, the room doors were left open and unattended. During this time, someone entered our room and stole our clothes and shoes. We reported the incident to hotel management immediately. We expected better security measures and supervision during housekeeping to help prevent incidents like this.
