Perfect location for visiting our niece at UMD. Gym was great! Rooms were really nice and clean.

We love this hotel and stay here a lot to either move our daughter in and out of college or just to visit. The staff is always amazing and accommodating and the HOTEL is just beautiful.

As far as the room—the sofa was sunken in. Almost like it was broken. There’s no jacuzzi on the property and no microwave in the room

The room has plenty of space, its clean, pretty and modern. The bathroom was the best part of the whole room, it was getting cleaned everytime we left the room, the staff was so friendly. There is a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee machine, plus a TV with YT. Loved it

No breakfast and parking anywhere near the school was very bad, other people got tickets, we decided to walk. I recommend walking to places and parking in the hotel parking lot. Also the doors from the garage to the hotel do not allow you to go into the hotel, you can get out but not in.

I booked a King Room for only $175 but then found out that my UMD son would not be able to stay in his house that night due to construction. I requested a change to a Two Queen Room and expected to be charged more because it was a non-modify rate but the front desk made the change with no problem and no charge. Parking was only $16. We ate in the hotel pub - pretty good food and very good margarita. I have pretty high standards because I used to travel extensively for work with a generous expense account, including Four Seasons and Ritz. The Hotel is a cut below but 4 Diamond Award is well-deserved.

I was falsely accused of smoking cigarettes in the room, blood stains in the room and breaking the sofa bed, I had to come back to the hotel physically and I was told it is a different room not mine. This is absolutely terrible and leaves a bad taste in my mouth and experience. I am still yet to be refunded my 200 dollars cleaning fees and I have called my Bank to dispute that charge but its false.

The hotel was very nice. Everything was clean and the blackout curtains were great. They blocked out every bit of light.

The housekeepers were knocking on peoples doors at 10am but our check out time was not until 12am.

During my stay, there was no shampoo in my room. I went to the front desk to report the issue, and I also called the front desk three separate times. Each time, I was told that someone would bring shampoo to my room, but it was never delivered. As a result, I was left without shampoo for the duration of my stay, which was very disappointing and inconvenient.

The rooms were spacious and modern with great views! There are several restaurants at the hotel giving you a variety of options to choose from without having to leave. The Iron Rooster was great! The staff was super friendly and helpful!

I didn't like that I was charged for two nights of parting when I specified that I only need the one night even though I am staying for two nights. I told the front desk guy that I will move my car to UMD lot 1c for my son's orientation and will leave it there for the second night thus will not need to use the HOTEL's parking garage. He assured me that I will be charged for only one night, but yet I am charged for both nights. now I have to wait for the refund to come through.

Modern and clean

The hotel was very nice the room, the hallway, the pool area the gym everything was clean. It’s very secure. You need a key card to access anywhere in the building you would like to go.

Although there is restaurants for you to eat, they should include complementary breakfast. The price you pay parking should not have to come out of your security deposit.

The trip between the parking deck and the room elevators is a little ridiculous, especially when the floor that connects them is closed off for a private event. Several minor but annoying maintenance issues (towels were threadbare, one washcloth had holes, shower door wouldn't close completely, the hose connection was spraying water, coffee maker was loud and wouldn't brew a whole cup, room temp wouldn't get below 74) and a few basic missing amenities (there was a TV but no cable/ satellite/ streaming - only casting from another device; there was a "cooler" but not a fridge, no continental breakfast)

The Hotel was very modern and had a bunch of cool tech features both inside and outside of the room. Also, the beds were comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. Also, we were there to tour the University of Maryland, and it was a very convenient hotel to stay at, as the tours started from The Hotel.

We stayed there during a heat wave and the room never got below 73 degrees, which was comfortable, but we like to sleep a little cooler (68 degrees). Also, in our room we had two adults and two older teens who were with us. They only provided us three sets of towels.

We stayed here two nights while visiting our daughter at U of Maryland. The hotel is fabulous! It’s spacious, clean, convenient to the university , has multiple restaurants and a friendly staff. The rooms are large with a full fridge and microwave, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great as well. Absolutely zero complaints!

A well-equipped and spacious room. Only the flimsy plastic glasses did not fit. I enjoyed the spacious bathroom and the automated curtains. The Nespresso machine is a nice touch: if only the capsules would be restocked and they had better cups.

All staff, from reception to cleaning, were reluctant to do anything. They eventually did but with an attitude of "I do it if I must". The service staff at the bar on the ground level was the worst. I rather have self-service than these people (I had the misfortune of being there two evenings in a row).

Stayed here for five nights in June 2026. While the hotel was generally very good, my experience with a front desk employee who identified herself as “Maria” (or a similar name) on Friday evening, June 12, was extremely disappointing. When my wife first approached the front desk to request basic guest supplies such as tissues and bathroom amenities, Maria appeared reluctant to help and seemed to avoid engaging with us. Only after being asked again did she take down the request. After waiting more than an hour with no delivery, I returned to ask for an update. Rather than helping, she was dismissive, impatient, and appeared annoyed that I came back to inquire. She repeatedly said she did not know what was happening, made no effort to follow up on the request, and at one point even remarked, “I don’t know why you keep coming back to ask.” Delays can happen, but poor customer service and an unprofessional attitude should not. This interaction significantly impacted what was otherwise a pleasant five-night stay.

This is one of my favorite places to stay in the DMV (DC metro)! The internal restaurants are great. The pool, fitness room, and spa provide a 5-star experience. Everyone from the front desk staff to the housekeepers are friendly. The hotel itself is kept immaculately clean. This is a must stay.

The room looks elegant and super clean and comfortable. The black out shades were an awesome addition and the electronic controls to open and close them (as well as control the lighting) made the room seem high tech and impressive.

The front desk staff was not very proactive. We waited to be checked in for like 15 mins because the one person in front of us was taking a lot of time and the staff member didn't acknowledge the line or ask for extra help for the other guests. Every thing is an add on: parking is not complimentary/no microwave in room/breakfast is not included/ no extended checkout without an added fee. Booking.com advertises the place as $129/nt but it ended up being $219 with taxes and parking...then more to get breakfast in the morning. But the place is in a great location and is very clean...also had a bagel shop next door. If you're looking for a convenient quick stay- this is a great place as long as you recognize all the additional costs first.

• Very poor customer service and lack of responsiveness from management. • Check-in was the worst hotel check-in experience I have had. It felt disorganized and unprofessional. • The check-in process took about 30 minutes because the room key did not work. I had to return to the front desk twice. • Instead of changing the room, the hotel sent a maintenance technician to repair the door while I was already inside the room. • I emailed a complaint to the Front Office Manager, but it was completely ignored and I never received a response.

My room was very comfortable and clean. The location was very convenient since I needed to attend a competition at the University of Maryland. I ate breakfast at the Iron Rooster, two days. "The food was a reasonable price and very delicious.

Room was clean but dated, dark and we were unable to open blind. It was broken! . Did not realize we had a window until the next morning.

We really liked that the parking garage is connected, and you don’t have to walk outside (it was raining all weekend). We liked how clean and aesthetic the furniture was. We liked how spacious the rooms were. Staff were really accommodating, and upgraded our room when we told them about how bad the bed was. Loved the bathroom and vanity area. Clean bathrooms in room, housekeeping staff were very hardworking and meticulous.

We didn’t like the bed in the room we were in first night. We didn’t like that there were unaccompanied minors and teens were walking around late at night or sitting around at the admissions desk (1-2AM). These kids were using racial slurs towards us and it was extremely inappropriate. We didn’t like that the TV didn’t have Netflix app on it. We didn’t like the temperature in the hallways on the way to the rooms, very muggy & humid. We didn’t like that the hallways smelled because people would leave their trash outside. We didn’t like that the concierge lounge wasn’t clean and kids were running around there as well. We didn’t like how rooms were all different, certain rooms had different brands of coffee or bedding.
