Have a great stay with kids who made the most of the arcade, pool table and table tennis table! Location was perfect location to the snow. Staff were friendly and helpful and rooms are well equipped and warm =]

Too many people in the kitchen

The staff were lovely

The kitchen was appalling, sinks piled high the entire weekend with dishes and scrap. It was disgusting!! Rat/Mouse poo in the bathrooms.

The rubbish was left exposed in the kitchen right next to the dining table. No one has clear the rubbish. Kitchen was filthy. The corridor was freezing. The electric socket has only one working for the entire room. The water pressure in the shower is terrible low.

Staff were really friendly and helpful.

The spa was expensive and not very warm. The room was small and could maybe do with an upgrade - fresh paint maybe. There was an old plaster on the floor in our room which made me question cleanliness. The arcade was awful - I think it is unnecessary.

The breakfast was great.

Perhaps the cutlery sorting needs to be addressed. I had to go through all the containers of cutlery to find all the tea spoons.

It was too noisy to much traffic in the corridor when children were sleeping. People running up and down the corridor.

Location is good, close to highway and ample parking.

Cleanliness is poor. Bad smell in toilet and communal kitchen.

Location is just walking distance to the National Park Bus Station, and 4 Square convenience store just in case you need to buy something. We booked for quadruple room with ensuite, space is enough for 4 pax. It also offers overflowing coffee and tea that can be consumed in their very spacious lounge which every guest can get an opportunity to interact with each other. The lounge also has a giant TV screen and play area that’s best for the kids.

The hospitality and service is amazing. They make an effort to accommodate requests, friendly, respectful, and does everything graciously and with a smile. Julie is a gem.

No hooks or racks in the ensuite shower to put towels and clothes on

Jacuzzi und Sauna waren toll. Es muss aber immer gesagt werden, dass AUCH die Sauna gebraucht wird, sonst bleibt die kalt Das Bad ist neu renoviert und sehr modern. Grosse Dusche!

Bei allen 4 Betten hängt die Matrazze durch = extrem weich Das Zimmer war bei Ankunft unterkühlt, nicht geheizt, bei minus 5 Grad im Winter nicht angenehm. Die Gemeinschaftsküche hat genau 3 Messer... Ein riesiger Game room - ist an und für sich eine tolle Sache, wenn das Gebimmel nicht in allen Zimmern gut hörbar wäre

Not very welcoming. No heating. It was freezing. My husband plugged in his apnea machine and blew all the lights and got and electric shock

Nothing didnt stay long enough

Well where do I start. No facility's that were stated on the booking rooms were so tiny couldnt fit luggage in there and freezing cold with no heating. As I returned the father had gone to switch on a switch and it gave him an electric shock and shorted the place of power. By then I demanded a refund and left no one would I ever take the kids back there

I always stay at this lodge whenever I am the area. Love the ambience. Excellent hospitality from the head chef.

Pipers Ski Lodge was good for our one night stay, it gave us the opportunity to go on our planned hike earlier than if we had left from home. The receptionist was quite new to her job and made sure (her own initiative) to put us in an area away from some more noisy guests; we appreciated.

The place lacks a cosy feel, the whiteboard by the entrance was not up-to-date.

Da wenig Gäste anwesend waren, bekamen wir ein Gratis Upgrade mit eigenem Bad. Das Zimmer war zweckmässig ausgerüstet, wobei das Bad komplett neu war und top Modern. Sehr schätzten wir die Nachtvorhänge, die auch am frühen Morgen kein Licht hineinliessen. So konnten wir etwas länger schlafen. Gratis Parkplätze vor dem Haus.

Die Möbel waren alt und abgenutzt. Das ganze müsste mal renoviert werden. Wenig Steckdosen. UBS Steckdosen funktionierten gar nicht. Frühstück war dürftig, nur Continental Frühstück. Musste selbst zubereitet werden.

Friendly and helpful staff, and a spacious common area, plus breakfast was included. The hot tub option is highly recommended.

No me gusto absolutamemte nada. Habitacion incomoda y pequeño para las camas que habia. Colchon de muelles antiguo y en mal estado, dos enchufes en la habitacion para cuatro personas y ninguno al lado de la cama, un armario sin puerta y con baldas torcidas e inaccesibles. Mesillas a medio hacer o viejas. Baño en modo armario. No estaba limpio el baño. El desayuno malisimo, cafe soluble, no hay bolleria, zumo no era natural y nada de variedad. El resto de instalaciones viejas, sillones con tapizado roto,

The staff were very friendly and kind. The ensuite bathroom was new and clean. The games arcade is a nice feature. Our room was warm.

- In general the place was dirty, including a blood stain on the towel, food on the ‘clean’ tea cups, and other spreads and crumbs in the spreads jar. The spa water was greasy it was so old and dirty. Older facilities are fine, if they’re clean and well maintained. - We bought spa and sauna and THEN found out the sauna isn’t working. We went to get dinner and a drink, which is heavily advertised in the foyer, to find it not open. If you’re setting expectations with notices and advertising, they should be delivered on. - the shared kitchen was clean, but full of food from the long term guests who work at the ski field, so really not feasible to cook for a family in there due to space.

The host was awesome. She was attentive to all customers, she was present and pleasant. The set up was good and catered well to all group types.

Great location. Old fashioned ski lodge appeal. Lovely sunny dining room for the included breakfast, with a view of the mountain. Good value for money.

Only 1 power outlet for room, with a multiboard hanging down the wall. Sofas face away from the open fire.

Beds are comfortable and clean and location is good. Plenty of parking. The place was nice and warm on arrival.

The sauna was not working and we were told that the spa pool was dirty. Not much of a bar area. The vending machines only took wepay

sauna out of order. You have to pay for spa pool, six dollars per person for only an hour! Scam. Shower was flooding and very claustrophobic. Had to wait 20 minutes becuase staff was no where to be seen. had to call the owner multiple times and he sounded disintrerested in our requests. bunk beds were very uncomfortable and loud.

It was close to where we wanted to go during our stay.

Maybe a way for the door into lounge to be less loud - we heard it slamming a lot when trying to sleep in Room 19

Accomodation was perfect for what we needed. The staff was friendly and there were plenty of ammenities. Everything was clean and tidy and the common areas and rooms were kept to a lovely warmth. The continental breakfast was a nice addition.

Was a wonderful experience for our son to stay somewhere different, older ski lodge with large open fire, we dried our jackets infront of drinking hot chocolate. Aawesome games room, 20 minutes to the mountain. It was a weekend away we all enjoyed 🫶

It's a bit tired, the room had a bit of a draft which was fixed by putting on the heating, but generally it feels like it could do with some love and care. The social room is great and I think this place would be awesome during the high season but there's a little work needed to tidy it up a bit generally

beds were good and quiet room. kitchen was accessible and clean. staff were friendly and helpful with requests. it had all we needed for our stay. we were able to use the kitchen to cook our tea. spa finished off the day nicely.

the drying room was hard to find the light switches and wondered if we were allowed to use the area. it said there were meals available but i didn't see where you could order or a menu for this. in saying this we were pretty self-sufficient for our lunch and dinner meals.

Great location to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Staff are very keen and helpful.

Was a brisk night so trips to the communal bathroom were chilly.

Functional hotel. Good room accommodation, comfy beds, good position. Good value stay. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Pretty chilly (no heating on in April). Everything looked shut (hot tubs, games room etc) and whilst we could have asked for them to be opened up it made them look uninviting. Breakfast ok but very basic.
