Tenera Hotel

I always stay at this hotel whenever I have a course around Bangi. I’ve already spent almost RM2.5k staying here, but unfortunately, my second experience has been really, really bad. I called the reception to ask if I could reheat my food. The receptionist transferred my call to F&B, and a lady answered and said it was okay just come over. So I literally walked from the apartment to the hotel café, carrying my food. When I arrived, she suddenly told me that I couldn’t use it because the “boss” said it could cause food contamination. If it wasn’t allowed from the beginning, WHY DIDN’T YOU JUST TELL ME WHEN I CALLED?! You wasted my time and made me walk all the way down there carrying food for nothing. Seriously, so inconvenient and frustrating. And another thing, I stayed here for 10 days, and not once did I use the buggy. Not even once did any staff offer us a buggy ride, even though I was with my two kids under 4 years old. And then you look at the condition of the room… Is this really a 5-star hotel? Dust everywhere. The bed looks like it’s coming apart, which is honestly dangerous because someone could fall. Even the lamp cover was falling off,someone could easily get an electric shock from that. 5-star hotel? Seriously? It feels more like a 1-star hotel. The price is already expensive, but the service and room condition are nowhere near what I expected. I’d rather stay at Royale Chulan next time. Never booking this hotel again. BANNED. 🚫

I do enjoy the breakfast, have a wide variety of food , cereals and drinks , cozy vibe to enjoy your breakfast while viewing the scenery. Absolutely an experience.

Your lift were hot and there's no air-conditioning, there's a time where the lift would stuck or struggling to continue to the next levels

Matters too soft and it not so comfortable . Need to improve breakfast verities. Same repeated breakfast. . Need to add seafood choice . Plates must be clean, found some hair on it. Room carpet has been nailed but it not properly plug in, it very sharp.

It's not a 5 star hotel. - Check in was bad. Please mention earlier in the email or via booking platform that we need to bring IC for check in. I didn't and I needed to go back to my car. - No hotel porter at all to help with the luggages for the apartment suites. Many staff were standing at the hotel lobby, asking if I need help with the luggages , but when I told them I booked an apartment, they just told me how to go to the parking. - No staff at all at the apartment suite lobby, I needed to walk to the hotel lobby which is located in a different building under the hot sun just to hand back the card. - It's really bewildering considering the most expensive rooms offered by Tenera are in the suites building but no staff and service at all for apartment suites. Air conditioning was not even turned on for the suites lobby. - Parking is really bad. Couldn't get out for 15 minutes, just because the parking system wrongly read my car plate number, on the second day. The hotel staff at the front desk asked us to reverse and try again for a few times which was not working at all, the hotel staff who came to boom gate couldn't override the system, (both of them asked a few times whether I stay at the hotel or not which is really annoying) the parking staff didn't want to listen to the hotel staff. They didn't even apologise when they finally resolved the issue, which I think in their mind, not their fault anyway. A 5 star hotel doesnt operate like this. They give parking for free. They just include the cost of the parking inclusive of the hotel room price. Parking is RM5 per day by the way. And you need to call the Front Desk before going out which is a hassle. - Breakfast offers a very limited variety. Roti Canai are from frozen packages, and on the first day, the chef who handles roti Canai was not there most of the time.

Location of the hotel was convenient for my business purposes

In the room on the 16th floor, where I was accommodated, the stink from the sewage system was continuously present. I believe that this is the reason why the windows were opened when I entered the room. Condition of the doors, windows, bed and furniture is rather from early 2000 than from 2020. You have to switch on Air-Con every time you enter the room (not automatically operating). No light switches next to the bed, and some of the wall socket covers were loose. Small refrigerator is noisy when it's in operation. Quality of the toilet paper is very poor. All this didn't make me confident to use the pool.

I like the breakfast inclusive which provide variety choice of local meal suitable for all race and suitable for my family (Chinese) even though the hotel awarded Muslim friendly Hotel.

The pillow is a bit hard, preferable if could provide feather pillow.

The service was excellent! Highly recommended hotel to stay!

The rooms are spacious, and no deposit is required, which made check-in very convenient. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and the additional breakfast charge for kids was very reasonable at only RM20+. During night enjoy hot coffee at lobby

Clean and comfortable room with ample toiletries and extra pillows. Many varieties of food for breakfast. I especially like the masala tea, vadai and paratha. Great that world cup games were available but it would have been perfect if there was at least one movie channel on TV

1. There’s a leaking between saperator shower room and the bathroom - so water leaked out to the other part of bathroom . Kinda frustrating when u want the bathroom dry. 2. The breakfast part - kinda late to refill the food , food variety limited since tanera is 5 star hotel. Dimsum open at noon after breakfast, no pastry’s which u can see every other 3-5 star hotel.
