Fantastic hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed my 5 day stay. Hotel was very well decorated / maintained. The room allocated was very nice, spacious, comfortable and cleaned on a daily basis. All the staff I encountered were very friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast provided by the hotel was very good with hot and cold option. The staff were all first class. The area around the hotel (marina and plaza) are beautiful. A number of different eating out options available in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. I used both the pool and the gym area and both were very good. In order to see the sights in Muscat you will need access to a car or order a taxi (can be expensive. Ask the hotel for options). I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone coming to Oman for a relaxing holiday.

Excellent place to stay in Muscat

Excellent location and professional, very kind staff. The chef Yazan was awesome, delicious buffet in and yummy barbecue on roof top near the infinity pool. Outstanding gentleman in the management team, Mr. Abdallah Sheded. Grateful for a great stay and experience to the nicest area in Muscat, “Almouj”

We enoyed the breakfast buffet. Their restaurant, Salt and Pepper for dinner was decent. The room was fine, except it was a "smoking" room as we were not given a choice at check in. We hate the smell of cigarettes. The area is nice in the evening, when it's a bit cooler. You can walk around the waterfront. Within walking distance to the beach.

Loved this hotel. Wonderful staff, great location near the sea. Highly recommended but be aware that like many Muscat hotels it is some miles from the historic zone. Loved the relaxed area around the hotel at night - the cafes, restaurants and a small shopping centre

Hotel was stunning. Staff were amazing. Included breakfast was varied and delicious. Perfect last night in Oman! Check out the Bukhara Indian Restaurant a short walk away if you like Indian food too!

Quality of food poor

Lovely and friendly staff at reception, valet, restaurants and housekeeping. Definitely felt looked after! Breakfast was delicious with a variety of options. Overall a beautiful clean hotel with a wonderful calm atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again!

Very clean and attractive arrangement. Rooms are lovely however the mattress on the bed was too soft and needs changing. Helpful and friendly staff. Well prepared meals but a little bit on the expensive side. Loved the rooftop terrace with swimming pool. These offer great views of the surrounding areas. I loved staying at this hotel and will definitely return. Actually extended my stay by a day.

My stay over all was nice the only issue I had was with the air condition, you set it on a certain level but never goes to that instead it gets cold so I and to turn it off. But other than that staff are nice and good is good. Location is also nice

The location is excellent for walking to shops and restaurants with lovely views of the marina outside. The hotel staff were very polite and attentive. The carpets in the room were not so clean. The only criticism.

Great place to stay in

My 2 night stay was pleasant and I would return for future visits to Muscat. The room was clean and the Marina view was beautiful. I enjoyed the proximity to nearby restaurants and there was no need to leave the area.

Great location in Al Mouj, surrounded by cafes and restaurants. Very comfortable room, but overpriced. Asked for sea view, which OK but was slighlty spoiled by construction in front of the hotel. Long wait for check-in, despite phoning ahead. Took forever to get housekeeping to bring some small items. I don't know why the roof-top pool closes at 6.00pm - just when the sun is setting and you can great views, they start clearing the sunbeds and move you out. Breakfast is fine but be prepared to wait for any cooked eggs. Overall slightly disappointed especially given the cost.

Great location if you looking to do some water based activities like scuba diving. The area is quite upscale so everything costs more. Hotel staff were very courteous and helpful.

Beautiful place

Excellent staff, excellent location! Loved our stay here. We came to Oman from all different parts of the world to attend a wedding. We had an amazing reunion staying at the hotel. They were accommodating and the place is located by a beautiful Marina with lots of restaurant options. I highly recommend this place. Would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel

Very nice, helpful, friendly, competent staff. Good breakfast. The location is great if you want quiet and upscale. Also if you want close to the airport (not too close, no noise or anything). And it is on a harbor. But it is far away from everywhere else--20 km to the main sights of the city. But for a luxurious but still boutique-y feel, it is great. It's dry, but the Kempinski a short walk away has restaurants with alcohol and bars.

While the majority of staff are great, a small handful of the staff were worst than useless. I was told that I could not smoke a cigar in the lounge upstairs because it was for "women and couples only" This is the second time that I have stayed here and both times I feel like I wasted my money.

My booking was during the Cyclone. I evacuated the hotel for 3 days and they refused to give me the refund. They told me to contact Expedia and still expedia is waiting for their reply. Very bad customer service

Amazing look and decoration, friendly staff but sometime felt they were not professional, good and comfortable room, location wise awesome. Yes I shall recommend others to stay. Also a big thanks to the entire hotel team for giving us the extension / late check out.

Very cooperative and kind staff. They upgraded my room because they didn’t have the room that I booked.

The hotel itself was nice enough but the attitude of the hospitality staff (except for the Indian staff) was terrible. At such a nice hotel I’d expect the same level of service to all international guests and not just to a certain ethnic group. I was really disappointed because it was the last day of our honeymoon and we’d just wanted a nice easy night staying near the airport for our early morning flight. I’d recommend foreign tourists beware.

Nice hotel, but the gym was far from the state of the art. It needs some work

We had a room with a Marina View. It was very comfortable, clean and with air conditioning that was easy to operate as long as the window was shut. We were there for the Marathon which was postponed but it is in a very good location for the start. The water sports - Seaoman is also nearby, but book ahead for the snorkelling. There is also a shopping mall about 5 minute's walk with a reasonably priced supermarket that sells real milk. The room provides a kettle and coffee making facilities and a fridge. The hotel dining area also looked very nice although we didn't eat in as there were plenty of other eating places nearby.

Our stay at Mysk was good but not great. To start we had to book 2 rooms for our family of 4, when we arrived they stated that they could not give us adjacent rooms because the names in the reservations did not had the same last name although the rooms were booked together. One of the rooms we got smelled heavily as smoking room. The facilities in the hotel are ok and the price you pay mostly is for the location in Al Mouj. The restaurant is great with great service.

My favourite thing about the hotel was the area it’s located in. Simply amazing. My stay was nice and comfortable. Room was spacious and clean. Pillows were too soft. The AC blows against the window so the blinds make a ticking sound against the wall, was a bit annoying so I had to prop a pillow against it. Staff were friendly but not overly helpful, I asked for trolly to be delivered but ended up taking down my own luggage. All in all though would recommend staying at the hotel.

Amazing amazing hotel, the people and the atmosphere. The treat is very well while check-in, especially Fathiya. She is amazing person, funny and finished our process so fast. And she helped us to get what we want.

Fast check in, free basement parking. The hotel is located in a fantastic area (the heart of Al Mouj) with several cafes and restaurants, and very nice walking area along marina. Room is very clean and good service.

Very nice hotel in very nice new marina. Meet Oman families who live in the neighborhood. The Mysk “chain” is Arabian-owned and does not serve alcohol. Actually nice to not hear drunken guests! We did miss our evening glass of wine but got used to it. There are ways to get alcohol in Oman if critical. Oman is a beautiful country that respects its natural beauty and not just $. It is the Switzerland of the Middle East. Mysk reflects that philosophy.

Great location, slow service but that is Oman. Breakfast $50AU Oman is extraordinarily expensive and no beer or wine within the complex. When you do find it expect to pay, 4 beers one burger and one linguine $185 AU, good luck.

Beautiful property in fun location. Easy taxi in from the airport but a long ride into the city. Staff was friendly, but with the exception of the front desk staff, poorly informed as the workings of the hotel. Concierge was not helpful, restaurant staff was very nice and attentive, but tried to charge us three times one morning for breakfast. When I tried to enquirer as to where to grab food before the restaurant opened on the first day of our visit, I was told to use the pool bar. It never actually opened that day. Once again, beautiful, clean hotel...staff needs a bit of training.

Number of staff is not enough to serve the customers. No one knows how to operate the steam or the sauna rooms. Umbrellas at the pool do not work. I have a gold membership and they gave me hard time to even get bottled water.

Super friendly staff and a WONDERFUL area of Oman. We were able to walk around the area to eat, shop, buy groceries, or just look at the water.

Great place for business or pleasure. Location is ideal with lots of restaurants, golf and beaches. Staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are renting a car the parking lot is very small and some nights we had to park nearby in street parking. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
