Breakfast was very nice.
Nulla
Spacious, clean, good breakfast, big garden.
A quiet place away from the crowds of tourists. There are small bungalows with shared shower and toilet facilities.
Maybe a few years ago this place was really great. But now it is very dilapidated and requires at least cosmetic repairs.
On recommande !!
Very lovely stay and especially the owner makes the stay worthwhile. Can absolutely recommend!
The owner of camp was a real good , helpful and easy to come along with. he organised our excursions ,
Nothing
Vieta atokiau nuo kitų, bet nesunku rasti. Viskas paprasta, kaip ir priklauso pagal kainą. Savininkas malonus, perkėlė į geresnį kambarį, iškeitė pinigus padoriu kursu. Patiko pabendrauti - aukštas demagogijos pilotažas (tai komplimentas). Galima išsinuomoti dviračius ir aplankyti turistinius objektus. Jei ieškote ekonominio varianto, ši vieta jums.

Beautiful and quiet place, perfect for relax. The owner is very nice and disponible. This side of Luxor is peaceful and you can walk easily around.
Wifi was very low
Endroit tres. Jolie. Propriétaire tres simpatique
every thing was amazing
nothing went bad
-friendly and helpful host -the property can arrange for different activities and facilities (biking, hot air ballon, etc) -spacious room -friendly vibe and nice garden -it was quite clean
-the location is a bit further away from ferry or the attractions and it is close by a mosque so the call to prayer at around 3-5am can wake people up. Bring earplugs. The street in front is not paved. -bed mattress isn’t the best
The place is spectacular. Directly in front of the Nile river on the west bank It offered a slower and more relaxed pace than the east bank. The Host Ahmed was nothing short of the beauty and calm his place offered. Very kind and generous as well as mindful. He was great at facilitating activities as well as making one feel right at home. A wonderful place to experience.
I liked everything. I Am a backpacker and for me was excellent. All I needed because I met people from different countries and also felt the local enviroment.
Ciao!
Everything was fine
Hello everyone 😉 in Last year i went in 25 country, and i been in many good , and also many bad places. This Camp ist very uniq and they have very calm atmosphere. This place is definitly my new place , when i will come back to Luxor. I really recommend this place
Fair breakfast for fair price
Bit lighter at night
I only stayed here one night and it suited my needs. The host was very helpful and my room was upgraded to one with a private bathroom. I didn't have the meal plan so didn't experience any refreshments.
This property is a bit out of the way but since I literally only went here to sleep one night I didn't explore the area. The advertised write up isn't quite accurate. There isn't a hot tub, and my booking said I had a 5 bed bungalow..........nooo it's a bungalow with 5 bedrooms with shared facilities. Towels not provided and the toiletries were a bar of soap. Unfortunately local wild cats were playing/fighting on the roof so sleep was disturbed and the bed/pillow was not very comfortable. Oh well some you win some you lose and to be fair it did the job for one night.
Quieter part of town away from hasslers was ideal. Ahmed was great craic.
Light in the room was very harsh but that's all.
Dirty!
The environment and the personnel is amazing. Please stay here if you want to go to kings valley or anything on the west side of Luxor
Very nice place.
The camp has a good vibe, the huts are also cute and comfy. The owner is welcoming, helpful. He even has bicycles for rent, which is the best way to visit the Valley of Kings and the rest of the sites.
Lovely relaxed place to stay, and in a nice part of Luxor. Thank you for having us 😊
Al Salam camp is a beautiful little place, with nice artworks on the walls, comfortable outdoor seats to socialise and lots of plants around. We spent many nights having great conversations with the owner Ahmed, and I think staying here helped me learn more about the real egypt. Ahmed also helps with organising any activities or transportation that you need and for a fair price. Theres a small market next door as well with nice men that charge egyptian price. Theres also a restaurant next door with good egyptian food for around 150LE. Ahmed can provide a good breakfast in the morning for 100LE Al Salam camp is out of town a bit but not too far that its annoying, just enough that you can walk into a field around the corner and watch the sunset in private over the nile. My room had hot water and a fan, overall great value.
Keep in mind, booking.com says the double room has two double beds, but it is actually just one. I came with my friend and Ahmed just changed us to the room with two separate beds for the same price.
location was great. Amazing people. Beautiful property.
Wonderful stay at Al Salam camp. Ahmed was so nice and helpful, we had super interesting conversations together, he organised a tour with guide and driver for me, and when I got scammed by an alabaster shop he asked the driver to take me back to the shop in order for me to get my money back ! 100% recommended
Ahmed, the host, is a really awesome person, very chill and one of the most honest people we have met in Egypt so far. He could provide us with good tips and likes to talk with his guests. His son is really hard working and keeps everything clean. The yard is really beautiful and feels like an oasis. It’s great to meet likeminded travelers. We would love to come back some day, we really had a wonderful stay at Al Salam Camp!
Nothing at all
Nothing was good and he was not polite at all We though the breakfast was free like always but he let us pay for it 100 pounds And with his speech he was so aggressive with us
Great experience! The host was very nice and helpful with all my questions and in solving problems I had. He helped organize tours and give useful advice to navigate the area. The property is in a quiet area of the west bank, is a 5 min walk south from the ferry and close to the nile. If you choose the huts as budget option don't expect much comfort. The rooms on the other hand are very nice and comfortable with Western style bathrooms, very worth the price. The yard has several benches and tables to comune with other guest or just sit alone and relax. Everything is clean. I would for sure come again when I'm in the area Did I mention that the host was very helpful?
Good and relaxed atmosphere....
I liked the surroundings of the place and the nice and cosy restaurants next to it. The host was nice and helpful.
The bed was realy not comfortable and the sheet didnt seem to be clean.
Cozy place, People are friendly, I loved my stay there and would 100% stay again
Great spot for backpackers / solo travellers. Location is great tbh in West bank. 10 mins walk from ferry dock.
It's nice hostel in calm street, close to the city, but feels like in countryside. The owner was super nice and his breakfast was delicious. There is also possibility to borrow bicycles or book hot air baloon for good price, although we didn't use that possibility. The place has very relaxing vibes. WiFi was ok.
You hear every sound from the common yard, so if you would like to sleep longer, take earplugs ;)
Everything was perfect.
It was really clean and host is really nice! Everything was so chill here and not far away from ferry station. Around the proper, there’s restaurants and pharmacies that are easy to access. Our stay in this place was really pleasant and wonderful. Looking forward to getting back again in the future someday :)
Everything was good
A very quiet place where you can enjoy your stay after visiting the city.
Very nice place to stay! Especially for the price, you won’t be disappointed fosurreeee! Every touristic destinations are pretty close so can go to most by foot!

A nice place. Ahmed the manager is a kind and helpful person. Quiet and clean place
Very nice owner, nice huts, good and cheap food, quiet place at the nile
Ahmed is a very welcoming host with an open mind. He knows a lot about different cultures as he has had a lot of foreigner customers. If you wish to avoid street hustles you should always ask Ahmed for guidence. We even rented bikes through him and got a way better price than the streets offered. Al Salam Camp gives you the feeling as you are a local there yourself. And Ahmeds omlette is glorious, deffinetly get breakfast there.
The camp is very cozy with it's own yard which is nice for chilling. The location is also very good, the area is very quiet and there's a lot of locals around. The owner is also nice, after the first night he let us change from the hut to a real room for free. Good, cheap restaurant next door, Rustic House.
There was no sheets in the bed, only a blanket which clearly hasn't got washed in a while. Overall everything is a little bit dirty.
Warm ambience in farmlands on the west side of the Nile. The space has a lot of personality and Ahmad is a wonderful host. Recommend borrowing the bikes from the camp to cycle to Valley of Kings ☺️
+the owner is a man of big smile and full of friendliness +location +peacefulness Obs. He voluntarily upgraded my room, for me to have a better night sleep, in case there would be loud music from neighbours Recommended !
-sporadic on and off internet
Don't let the cheap prices of the rooms fool you, they are really nice. The luxurious rooms with private bath are excellent, but I liked the small huts with shared bathroom even better: what they lack in comfort they make up for in charm. The courtyard is very pleasant, breakfast is simply good (they know how to make a good omelette!) and the location is pleasant: last guesthouse on the street (well, sand path actually), so a little isolated but you could consider that a pro. For those who like horse riding: do check out the stables just around the corner!
The owner, Ahmed, is a bit grumpy but he's a great guy. But beware, he isn't making much money on the rooms, so he earns money on the services he is able to provide. So far so good, but make sure you negotiate well with him, because he has tricks to talk you out of just a little bit more money than you intended to pay. It's not maliciousness, once again: he's a great guy. But when making deals with him, take a firm stand (but not too firm, you must give the man a break).
Nice place to stay for weeks
Ahmed was so nice and helped us with everything we needed. The little camp is the most relaxing place in luxor, will definitely go back
We stayed at the private room, it was big and very comfortable. The location is very close to the nile, around 15 min walking from the public ferry. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast every day, was more than good for the price. The garden was peaceful and there were a lot of baby cats around 😊. The wifi worked wery well. It was clean. Bathroom and shower with hot water, just be sure to bring toilet paper. There is a minimarket 7-10 min away, with local prices, very fair. Restaurants are also close.
As most of places in Egypt, there are powercuts daily... I had some and allergic reaction while sleeping the first night, mosquitoes or bedbugs? But my boyfriend didn't. Overall, it's an amazing place for a low price!!
The location is very closed to the pier so any destination is easy allowed; the staff is very friendly and available for any need
The room is very small; the bed is strong so if you suffer of pain at your back ; it is not comfortable; but I was ready to meet some issues ; anyway the price is cheap an it is the best price you can get in Luxor in the good location like this
El dueño es un muy buen sujeto
Beautiful camp yard. Excellent value for money, for an individual tent/cabin. Great location at Luxor west bank. Friendly staff
Old mattress
Very good stay. The owner was very helpful and organized everything I needed. The place is quiet, exactly what I was looking for. Really cheap so don't expect a 5 stars hotel. Recommend this hostel. Went biking to the kings valley, best option for me
Mattress a bit hard
We rented 2 bicycles, it was great ! The room was great. The owner too
