Clean room. Small but great condition.
We enjoyed the size of the room, the location to the Old Town and the great sized swimming pool to cool down. We had fresh bottles of water per person and fresh towels each day. The staff were helpful and whilst there was a language barrier, they did their best to accommodate any requests (laundry and a car to take us to the airport-all were done efficiently).
Whilst the room was clean, there were some small ants in the room but this is likely to be standard due to the weather. We were on the first floor. The shower was quite cold but this was welcome mostly as the weather was so very hot-it may not be as appealing if the weather is cooler. The breakfast was adequate but very basic and not a huge amount of choice-we got by but would have preferred some more variety and being able to choose on the morning (we had to order the day before). Overall good value for money for what we paid
Cơ sở vật chất hơi cũ. Mạng yếu, lúc có lúc không.
Hotel zadbany, cichy, pozwalający odpocząć, oferujący sielankową atmosferę. Rozsądne ceny napojów bezalkoholowych i alkoholowych. Bardzo przyjazny personel.
Przy tej cenie za noc brak negatywów.
Small and comfortable boutique hotel friendly staff
Didn’t clean the 5 days we where there only gave us towels
Was a lovely quiet hotel didn’t get room cleaned for the 5 days we where there had to ask for toilet paper towels etc Reception lady was lovely and her husband
No cleaning offered
Small hotel within walking distance to everything. Nice pool and outdoor sitting area.
Our room was comfortable and clean enough but lots of tiny ants everywhere including our bed made for a not so great stay. Our son had a room below us and the mould smell was terrible. The area was clearly flooded as you can see water marks on walls. The happy dogs in the area didn’t help.
Very friendly staff! Lovely spacious room, very clean! Great location
Nothing
Rooms are basic but very. Beautiful pool with a good size
Location was great for town. The swimming pool was a bonus. The room was huge and comfortable.
The shower just wasn't that warm for me.
The hotel is like a family run homestay with very caring staff. The proximity to the old ancient town was very helpful to explore.
We ended up not checking in after viewing our friend’s rooms who had booked a day earlier than us. We decided to else where as there was black mold in the washrooms. It was more like a motel and the room does not look like the photos.
Located close to the old quarter so can walk there quite easily. Room was very clean and so was the pool area.
Quite noisy in the room and could hear the people in the room above us talking. The hotel is located in a side street which feels a little unsafe walking through at night
Liked the property and the arrangements of the rooms.
If the breakfast had more options that would have been great. Also if they had the facility of restaurant like room service foods and all.
Great location and everyone was so lovely. They were very accommodating and considerate.
Nothing
The staff were so friendly, they gave us mangos from the mango tree for us to eat in the mornings, we had fresh towels and bottles of water everyday, there was also a really cheap shop just a 10 second walk from the hotel that sold cheap water and snacks.
The shower was sometimes cold but that was also a nice thing when it was hot outside.
Host are so nice and lovely. Really felt like home
Location is bit far but ok if you're on a bike
For breakfast, you have your choice of about 10 different items, displayed on a menu at the front desk, for an extra charge - well worth the price. I was 12 minutes walk from the main shopping street, Hoi An museum, the lantern boats and the Night Market. The pool at Tran Family Villas was clean and cooling after a long day walking about. The room was very large, the private ensuite bathroom modern and very clean, all for the same or less money than staying in a private room at a hostel.
The staff was friendly, there is space in the yard That you can relax, we enjoy the breakfast, and the location was good
The water was getting cold very fast in the shower and the room wasn't so clean
Nice location, very Short walk to the Old town. Excellent staff, and great service at the breakfast.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Location excellent. Good value for money
So close to primary school Didn't like walking past chicken shed to and from my locations Need to ensure pool area is cleaned and upkeep,..Frog egg sacks on pool stairs, no cushion in chairs or on lounge beds..
The rooms were really spacious and you can get fresh orange juice from the kitchen at any time and they will bring it to your room (25,000VMD). The staff are super friendly and helpful!
The pool area is quite outdated in comparison to the photos on Booking.com but it is still lovely! The room was slightly dirty on the floor in some areas when we arrived but nothing major
We arrived at the property at 8pm and had checked out by 9pm. The photos on the website must have had a lot of enhancing as the hotel did not meet our expectations. Not even close. The room was tired and sparse. No lamps, no sofas or chairs. Just two beds, a shower and a sink that sat in the room rather than the bathroom. The biggest issue is that the room opened directly onto a public verandah (rather than having a private balcony, as the photographs suggest) which was wall to wall, floor to ceiling, glass French windows. This meant the only way to protect privacy was to pull over the heavy curtains. Not ideal if you wish to relax in the room and enjoy the natural light. Let me add one caveat. It all depends on your exectations. For the price, it could be argued that this is a decent place. If you are backpacking or looking for basic accommodation, then it would be fine. However, if you are looking for a welcoming room with nice ambience and a level of privacy, then be prepared for disappointment. One final note: the owners appeared very nice and friendly. We checked out because we didn’t want to spend four nights in such a basic room, rather than any issues with ownership.
Wow, what a gorgeous little hidden gem this place is! Was so hard to believe that we'd paid £15 per night for a pool view deluxe double room, as the accomodation and its garden and surrounds was just lovely. It's worth booking an upgraded room, ours was room 9 and it was fairly private, being at the end of the building. Inside the rooms, again, for the price, we were surprised at how lovely they were. Fridge, minibar, kettle, hairdryer, decent shower, comfortable bed, and gorgeous blue mood lighting in the ceiling. They were very clean too, and we had maid service with fresh towels even in our short stay. As well, the air con unit seemed new and updated, so fairly quiet! The location was about ten minutes walk from the old town, and close to restaurants and minimarts, as well as some excellent vegan cafes. It was peaceful enough in the rooms, but like a lot of Vietnam, there is quite a lot of noise in the surrounding streets (building work, etc). Still, it didn't spoil our experience, especially keeping the price tag in mind. The pool is stunning and very large, not what I imagined for this price. Really excellent value for a homestay! We only had two nights here but could have easily booked a week here. I would *definitely* book the Tran Family Villas again if coming back to Hoi An. Highly recommended, but to people who appreciate understated and low key.
This hotel is a short walk from the centre of Hoi An but the distance allows it to have a pool, which is a great way of cooling off after a day of sight seeing. The rooms are a decent size, with a very comfortable bed, efficient air con and excellent wifi. Various options available for breakfast (the banana pancakes are highly recommended). Staff are friendly and helpful and can arrange tours/taxis/laundry etc. The hotel offers free bicycles to get out and about. There's a spa onsite.
I would like to give a fair and honest review of the property so let me start with the good things: PROS: 1. Lovely pool and small nice garden - a great sight that will welcome you when you arrive. Nice to hangout here after a tiring day outside. 100+ points for this 2. Free bikes - very helpful since their property is a bit off from the main town. 3. Wifi in the room is pretty decent. 4. Aircon in the room is functioning well. 5 stars for this. 5. Small convenient store beside the property- so if you need some basic stuff you don’t need to go out in town center to buy it. 6. Some staff are helpful but I guess they need to improve their English a bit or at least smile more - that will make a lot of difference. CONS: 1. The view from our bedroom is a big boring wall of another building. It was an absoloute disappointment because we chose this hotel where the pictures shows a garden view. 2. Cleanliness inside the room is a big turn down! We are traveling with a baby and cleanliness is an utmost priority for our family. I have taken pictures to show how mouldy the toilet and sink are. There are dirt from the unused bedsheets. A dripping water from the ceiling. There are random dirt sticking on the walls too which can be easily cleaned away if they only take notice of. 3. Toilet door and cabinet doors all makes cringing sounds when you open them so we agree to leave it open when using it at night. 4. Mouldy refrigerator- we did not dare to put our food inside. Would I stay here again next time? NO Would I recommend this to someone? MAYBE for backpackers but NOT for family.
Lovely purpose built rooms. Clean smart and modern. Very comfortable. Big comfortable beds. Very helpful charming staff especially the young lady on reception. beautiful pool. Great breakfasts. Very handy to be able to borrow bikes to cycle to An Bam beach. Great location - stroll down to the town. Only negative was noisy crowd in adjoining room.
The quiet location is a few minutes walk from the main Hoi An shopping district. The rooms are huge and have super king size beds. It is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. They have plenty of bikes to use free of charge for the day.
A short 10 minute walk away from the heart of the ancient town. Rooms are very spacious. Clean towels and linen with comfortable bed and pillows. Free bicycle rental. Has a small swimming pool. Owners will try to ask if you want to go on a tour / spa as they get commission and own a onsite spa/ waxing service. Great for those who want to relax as it is fairly quiet. Only issue is there’s a primary/elementary school across the road so you will hear children screaming on their lunch break and after school. Villa is tucked away in a quiet street
It's a quaint little resort at one of the residential location of Hoi An with a school nearby. The resort is what you pay for, nothing fancy but nothing less. The icing on the cake is it's proximity to the old town, you can just walk down anytime of the day. The front desk was kind enough to immediately acknowledge our booking and even offered an airport transfer from Da Mang at a fee which was reasonable. The young lady, whose name we can't recollect anymore at the reception explained to us everything to do nearby and how to reach the old town and even offered us a cycle. There's a pool which is clean and nicely maintained. Now the Pros with Cons Pros: 1) Cleanliness to the point. It's a extremely clean property 2) Small things are taken into consideration. We were checking out at 7 in the morning and breakfast is only served between 7:30-10:30 but on our request, they ensured we had it at 6:45 3) The presence of a small ever playful dog makes life even more relaxing after a sunny day of walk at the old town Cons: 1) We found the AC cooling to be less even while setting the temperature at 16c 2) The bathroom door had it's door lock broken and the soap dispenser didn't work
My friend and I were looking for a place to stay and Hoi an in October. A lot of what we found were party hostels which isnt really my style anymore. We found this place and decided to give it a try and I couldn't be more pleased. A beautiful property the a nice swimming pool for the hot days. The rooms were fantastic and lovely. The rooms were luxurious with everything you need and nothing you don't. The breakfast provided with the room was amazing and I looked forward to it every morning. My only complaint was that it is across the street from a elementry school. They do loudspeaker announcements in the morning that wont let you sleep in. If that doesn't bother you, this is definitely the place to stay for you. I would definitely stay there again.
Nice big clean rooms, friendly staff, and Phuong on reception was super helpful. But the best bit Was The pool. We weren't leaving until 8 pm and Phuong let us use the pool until then for no extra cost which was very much appreciated. The only negative was that the woman running the spa was really pushy.
I must admit my heart sunk when I arrived to this place late after a long flight . We are used to staying in 4 star hotels & this from first appearance was certainly not . But after possibly the best night sleep I’ve had in ages in very comfortable beds I have to change my opinion. The amenities here are a little sparse & room is a rather tired but still clean & comfortable . No buffet breakfast, instead a home cooked meal which was really tasty . Service is really good & staff really went out of their way to make us feel at home. We will return here as we had a really good relaxing week in the end . Not to mention we had the pool to ourselves which was really nice & refreshing .
As a family of 4 we spent 10 nights at Tran Family villas. We stayed in a family suite - which was not overly spacious on the inside (our room consisted of 2 king size beds and an ensuite) and the major problem was lack of storage/shelving space in the cupboards. The pool was great to come back to for a swim after hot days exploring Hoi An - although the pool temperature was quite warm whilst we were there. The location is an easy walk into the old town - 10 mins at most - and is nice and quiet. The daily breakfast is great, you order daily from a set menu. By far and away the best thing about Tran Family Villas is the ever smiling and helpful Vu. She moved our room for us (due to a temporary issue with the water pump) and was always on hand to answer questions, book tour drivers and just chat!!! She is lovely, kind and very patient ... Thank you Vu for everything you did to make our stay so enjoyable!! Tran Family Villas is a clean, friendly and very reasonably priced location for a family stay in Hoi an.
Booked on the internet. 2 double rooms for 3 of us (daughter had separated room). Staff were lovely, ideal spot to get the most of Hoi An. Pool lovely, got locked out the first night as not back by 10.30 hrs. Had to climb the gate. Would recommend this acconodation.
We had a lovely stay very polite friendly owners rooms clean and tidy fantastic swimming pool enjoyed our stay would stay again if in Hoi An breakfast in the morning was simple but filling bikes were available when needed easy riding into the city or walking always busy popular place.
Quaint villa located 10 minutes walk from the city center. Awesome pool with very friendly and helpful staff. Well priced and good value. The ad says it is a beachfront property, but it is not. The owners also own a restaurant on the beach which is an hour walk, or 20 minute bike (hotel offers free bicycles) to get to. Great beach spot, but it was unclear that the beach was far and no free shuttle to get there or anything. Overall we had a wonderful stay here and we would stay again. The staff was awesome, and made seeing Hoi An an enjoyable experience
We had the lovely opportunity to spend 3 nights at Tran Family Villas. Like the name suggests, this isn't a large hotel chain, it is family run! The room was well equipped with everything you need, power outlets, hair dryer, fridge, towels, toiletries. Complimentary breakfast, and bottled water daily is a nice touch. It is located about 8-10 min walk from the main Ancient Town Centre. You will have free access to bicycles for use. We were fortunate to use the very clean pool after a long hot walk. Overall this hotel has huge value. Definitely recommend!
A quaint little hotel tucked away in a quiet part of Hoi An. The customer service was fabulous, despite limited English we were able to communicate. The villas are adequate, clean and comfortable with the only frustration in that there is no shelving provided in the wardrobe for unpacking our clothing which meant we had to 'work' from our suitcase. The breakfast provided, although not generous in proportion was adequate, fresh and cooked on demand. There is tea and coffee making facilites in the room also. We had a room with a bathtub which was much appreciated. Bicycles are free to use and this meant we were able to go beyond the centre of ancient Hoi An. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, an excellent hotel which is outstanding value for money.
Spent four nights at Tran Family Villas and loved it. It’s tucked away in a quiet part of town but is just five minutes from the old town. The room was plenty big enough for the four of us and the pool is particularly appealing at the end of a day sightseeing. With breakfast included, it’s fantastic value for money.
The family here is great and they are very attentive as you come in. We got here early, our room wasn’t ready, so they gave us a map and gave us suggestions on where to go in Hoi An. Only 5-10 minutes walking to the Ancient Town. Easy walk and not as busy from this location. When we got there, we requested a room with two beds. One of the headboards broke, so they split our party in two and we got a free room! Big bathrooms and huge bed! Lots of channels to choose from and pool outside if you want to relax. Great wifi too! Definitely worth the price!!
Located in a network of small alley ways, this hotel is just outside the bustle of the Old Town but still within an easy five minute walk. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and there are free bikes available for guests to get around town or bike over to the beach. Apart from the very comfortable, clean room and great western-style shower the highlight for us was an excellent swimming pool for a daily dip. At the price we paid, I don't think there is better value in Hoi An. We extended our stay and will use this hotel again if back in Hoi An.
