Almost all cutlery and plates were dirty. Stove top thermostat was broken so the hot plates were on full even though low was selected. Only about 5-7mins worth of hot water for the shower.

Room was nice and comfortable, warm and clean.

There was no soap and shampoo in my room. I think the soap dispenser was broken. Please check.

The shower head was spilt I sent a email and no reply also the washing machine was out of Acton no not nothing had to ask what was the go no explanation just got money back

When we arrived our room had no toilet paper and there was still wet towels in the shower. It was disappointing after a long day to then have to sort it. The staff came in and fixed it but it was still a hassle and I didn't know how well the room had been cleaned. The room was tired, paint peeling off walls etc.

Shower pressure was very low but that is potentailly a Nelson issue not the motels.

Great location, 1 bedroom apartment was a good size.

The room/motel is a bit dated. A few lights not working. But I got what I expected for the price.

The motel is very handy to town. The 2 bedroom unit we had was quite spacious. We were attending a family event, and had a few people visit us during the day. At one point we had 7 of us in the lounge and it was quite okay.

It is a bit run down and could do with some maintenance. The swimming pool was one of the things that attracted me to this place - but it didn't look like it had been operational for months. There was also a children's playground with notices up that it was out of bounds to guests.

The place was good value for money, and close to town

The location is excellent, being close to the CBD. It was good value and as an option for a one night stay, without too many 'bells and whistles' it was perfectly adequate.

Its just the pools, it is advertised here that there is a pool so we brought swimming clothes for our toddler but it was uncleaned, its so dissappointing. The pool was gross.

Bed was comfy. Water pressure was good. Separate bedroom was good.

The place would have been more inviting if little things were attended to. Dead plants in pots outside all the units. Sagging curtains in our room and broken light fittings. Even the couch had a cover on it because underneath it the couch was wrecked. A new couch should be bought.

Close to all the restaurants and shops with a good range of bed options to suit our group we keep returning to this great motel.

Proximity to CBD

Facility is a bit dated now. Not enough hooks and rails in bedrooms and bathrooms to hang things on. Microwave on top of fridge too high - safety risk. Top of microwave dirty with layer of dust. 3 beds in one room with inadequate luggage space.

Location was close to everything we needed. Spa bathroom was an extra bonus

Place is a little bit dated but it’s slowly getting done up. Still very helpful staff and clean.

We made our own breakfast. The situation was excellent in that it was located near at the Trafalgar Centre. (Vero International Vintage Car Event)

Location and space as a one bedroom unit

Very dated decor and very basic amenities- was supposedly fully booked but there were only a few units occupied. For nearly $300 for the night we were disappointed all round. Outlook into car parking and not accommodating atmosphere.

I think motel/hotel owners should have to update their online photos annually. We book looking at photos and are left considerably deflated upon check in

Arrived and was told that pool wasn’t in use, despite it being very hot. Bed spread stained. Cockroach fell from the ceiling onto the vanity while brushing my teeth.

Easy to find and close to amenities

Kitchen was quite small only 1 person can access at a time.

The location was an asset to visiting the centre of Nelson. Walking distance. Easy access to highway.

Rooms are not cleaned properly. Aircon stinks. when we turned to cold mode. Shower head broken.

We were there for 3 nights so I didn’t require the room serviced the first but requested it the next night and they only emptied the bins and didn’t make up the bed

The outdoor pool that was advertised was half empty, dirty and had clearly not been operational in a while. The bathroom window was difficult to close due to the weeds outside. The children’s play area was by the car park on a bit of ground and the trampoline was dismantled while we were there. The rooms decor was old and tired and on need of a freshen up.

It is an older motel style, which is exactly what we like: spacious, two rooms, TV in separate room, couch, near to town centre. Like a small home at a good price.

we liked it and will make this our go to place. we only stop in Nelson for overnighters and this is perfect for that.

The location of this property was great - walking distance to main shopping area.

First impressions were not good. Garden areas required a good tidy up. Unfortunately the Unit itself was disappointing for the money. The bathroom was very tired and definitely needed updating. There were cobwebs over the windows and the window sills and kitchen tiles needs a good dust/clean. We're not fussy but expect a certain standard when paying for accommodation.

The pool was closed for “maintenance” but the whole area looked abandoned. The carpet in our room was saturated from a shower leak on the other side of the wall. The shower was partially attached to the wall with fabric band-aids. There was a wet towel hanging in the wardrobe from a previous guest. There was an ironing board but no iron and no one at reception to supply an iron when needed. The stove top was dirty under the coil elements. Play area had a broken and dangerous trampoline.

Location was good - an easy walk into town

Facilities let us down - chipped paint, mould around the window in the bathroom and down by the shower, loose door handle to the bathroom

Room 11: was running loud the whole night the water pump of the swimming pool directly beside our room

no main light in bedroom the shower did not drain straight away so stand in water covrring your feet. chipped crockery tap on sink in kitchen very loose kept spinning around.

The pool was unusable full of brown slime. The room had an hair ball in the shower.and the whole place needed a clean around tbe edges, even the toilet seat wasn't fully cleaned. Never saw any staff, Office closed the whole time I was there.

Room had everything one requires. Location is excellent. Price range.

Pretty well everything. Carpet had holes in. Teatowel was disgusting with holes in. Pool was locked and looked awful. Crockroach inside. So pokey, we had to unpack bag in bathroom. It was unit 11.

Pool needed cleaning before anyone uses it. Otherwise expensive for what it is.

Probably the location was the best thing.

Unfortunately it is nothing like the pictures. We were a little disappointed with this motel. The pool was closed and messy. The staff were never there at reception.

The front door jammed, and the fridge wasn't working, which defrosted, causing water all over the floor.

Office was not staffed during check in hours. Returned from 4 day hike and had to wait 1 1/2 hours to get luggage that was stored on sight as no one was there. Furnishsings in unit run down.

Excellent location five minute walk from the main street. Rooms were big and bright and the beds were comfortable.

The owners were amazing, booking.com had confirmed the booking on my end but no theirs and wernt expecting us. They found room for us and had us for the weekend on them for the inconvenience.

There was not much to like

Biggest problem was that on google it is listed as a 4 star property. In reality it’s just a 1 star property. What I saw on google is very misleading. It is a very basic property. Wasn’t even tidy and there were stains on the carpet and fowl smell in the living room area

When we advised the manager we were not happy with the accommodation we were given a refund so we could find another place, which was appreciated.

The property was extremely run down, very dated and filthy. It looked nothing like the pictures on the website and is charging 4 star pricing for a 1 star facility. It was disappointing to be so misled.

Location was great.

There were several issues with the property, from missing our non functioning light fittings, broken shower rail and the shower leaked water into the lounge carpet. The pool which was a major attraction was out of action with grime at the bottom.

We went to a tiny little room, door didnt close properly, stain on bedding, carpet ripped, dirt inside cupboards, bathroom dirty, copwebs on windows, stains on carpet, net curtains ripped, pool area was unkept, water was green ( i have photos) we asked for our money back we were not staying in this dive of a place. Luckily we found somewhere else. Dont know how they survive in business. When i bought this up with man he said the owner wont fix anything. Photos on internet look so different,

The current management team seems to lack even the basics. Between our group, we booked three units and all three had issues. They were missing light bulbs, lacked basic utensils, had dripping taps, poor shower pressure, and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The oven and microwave were dirty in every unit. We were excited about the pool for the kids, but it wasn’t cleaned and was cable‑tied shut by the second day. The trampoline was also unsafe, with several springs missing. The washing machine was out of action and has apparently been that way for quite some time. To make matters worse, one of the units didn’t even lock.

The bathroom shower was absolutely filthy. There was buildup of dirt and mould. I don’t think it had ever been cleaned properly.

Laminate on table said room gets cleaned every day, but it wasn't cleaned for entire stay, you had to put up the note on the wall by the kitchen on the glass front door for the room to be cleaned, maybe in future the Laminate can explain the guests to do that. Other than that a good stay.

Location was fantastic, walking distance to conference centre.

The lino in the bathroom was dirty and stained. The cups were dirty. Perhaps check to make sure the dishes have actually been washed.

There was an overwhelming musty smell. And no actual soap in bathroom only sanitizer
