Dune Villa Wilderness

Location was absolutely stunning! Got up to watch the sunrise from my balcony and it was idyllic. Only stayed for one night to break our travels but wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the beautiful beach. Breakfast was really good quality too. I will be back again.

Ins Alter gekommen, Pool 2,5 m, eher Planschbecken und total verdreckt. James erfand Ausreden. Auf den Fotos war nur eine Ecke des Pools zu sehen, Fake! Verglasung alt, das Rauschen des Meeres war zu laut über die Nacht.

fantastic location and views over the ocean. James and his staff were obliging at all times. Breakfast was superb with a huge variety on offer. The room was large, the bed extremely comfortable and immaculately clean. Great huge shower and bath with views of the sea. Honesty box for drinks. Free afternoon snacks available and an all-inclusive mini bar in the room. The owner has thought of everything. Would highly recommend a stay here if visiting Wilderness.

perhaps a little more privacy required regarding the toilet being in the bedroom itself, but not sure much can be done and once we got used to it, it was fine

Ein sehr schönes Boutique Hotel in absoluter Top-Lage. Phantastische Frühstücksauswahl.

Das von uns bewohnte Zimmer benötigt eigentlich ein paar Renovierungsarbeiten (z.B. verrostete Scharniere an der Terrassentür/Badezimmerspiegel)

Die Lage direkt am Strand von Wilderness ist fantastisch. Der Blick aus dem Bett aufs Meer super schön. Das Frühstück war sehr gut mit reichlich Auswahl.

Insgesamt ist das Haus schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. In der Dusche kann man schon teilweise den Putz sehen. Der Pool ist sehr klein und war schmutzig. Terrassenmöbel nicht mehr die neusten. Preis war für die Leistung zu hoch.

Das Guesthouse war etwas ganz Besonderes!! Das Zimmer war groß und hervorragend ausgestattet. Die Parkmöglichkeiten und die Lage gefielen uns sehr. Das Frühstück war sehr vielseitig und schmeckte sehr gut. Die Ausstattung und Möglichkeiten des Guesthouses überraschten uns sehr positiv: direkter Zugang zum Strand, schöne Aussichtsmöglichkeiten aufs Meer, kleine Snacks nachmittags/abends inklusive, ein hervorragender Wein-, Spirituosen- und sonstige Getränkeschrank, was wir sehr gerne für einen abendlichen Absacker nutzten. Alles auf Vertrauensbasis - so schön, dass es so etwas noch gibt! Wir nutzten auch den Wäscheservice. Alles war sehr zu unserer Zufriedenheit... und seitdem lernten wir eine spezielle Art kennen, wie man Unterwäsche zusammenlegen kann. Seitdem lege ich sie zu Hause auch so zusammen. Hinweis: in der Nähe sind sehr gute Restaurants. A special thank you to James, our host. You were very helpful and sympathetic. Wunderschöne Lage, direkt am Strand. Es sieht in der Realität noch besser aus als auf den Fotos. Tolles Frühstück und ein sehr aufmerksamer und freundlicher Gastgeber. Leider hatten wir auf der Durchreise nur eine Nacht gebucht, nächstes Mal bleiben wir länger.

Dune Villa is a one of its kind place offering unmatched exposure to the seafront. You can both enjoy the view from a comfort of a lounge chair or access the beach with a few steps. Great breakfast options as well. We highly recommend Wilderness and Dune Villa specifically. We will be back for longer next time!

I have no complaints.

Stunning location with views over the sea from your spacious room, private balcony and just about everywhere else. Easy access to wide sandy beach to swim or walk for miles while the sun sets over the sea. Room was well appointed for every occasion and stocked with complementary drinks, fruit and snacks. Excellent, relaxed breakfast with something for every taste. Fruit, snacks and coffee machine available all day. Fabulous staff. James, the owner and host, is as hands-on and helpful as you get while Rochel tends to every need at breakfast.

Wir bekamen ein grosses, ebenerdiges Zimmer mit direktem Ausgang in den Garten. Leider war die grosse Balkon Türe etwas schwierig zu schliessen, da verzogen. Ansonsten war das Zimmer sehr gewählt ausgestattet und liess keine Wünsche offen. Vom Garten konnten man über eine Holztreppe direkt an den Strand. Da konnten wir wunderbar spazieren gehen. Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Alles frische, feine Sachen und eine tolle Auswahl. Gerne wieder mal, aber dann mehrere Nächte, denn es ist ein Genusshaus🥰

The view is exquisite. Each room is uniquely luxurious yet confortable, and every need is anticipated. A highlight is the breakfast - we were only two people, but the full buffet was freshly set out each morning from fresh cut fruit to a full warm breakfast with so many options we were stunned! If Heaven on Earth existed it would be Dune Villa...

King superior had bath blocking bathroom and no privacy for loo and shower so had to use bathroom along corridor to feel comfortable about more private functions!

The view was amazing. The room service was good. Breakfast was always up to standard. They have a coffee bar for guests overnight. Access to the beach from the place is very convenient as well

EVERYTHING. This was one of the best properties I've ever stayed at in terms of how thoughtful every part of the stay was. Complimentary fruit and snacks, some drinks, lovely hosts, and beautiful views. We were greeted by the owners each day at the beautiful complimentary breakfast and you can just tell they care about their property and their guests. 10/10 would stay here again.

The ONLY downside was location but it depends on what you want in a location. Not walkable to get into Wildnerness due to needing to cross a big highway but it was private and with not many rooms, very cozy and personal. If you're looking to be in the action, this isn't it but if you want a quiet, comfortable stay with ocean views and beach access, this is your place!

Perfect location, Amazing view, room 5 spacious with great sea view; breakfast to die for - delicious and variety of great choices; private access to beautiful, safe, beach; friendly, caring staff, thank you Rochel. Owner, James, on personal ‘stand by’ and ready to assist where needed. Casual approach, felt like we had the place to ourselves even though it was fully booked on the weekend. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful place, luxurious accommodations, wish we had more time to enjoy it. Right next to the beach the thunderous crashing of waves was magical. Rooms well appointed with lots of treats and drinks all included.

The information pack in the room was woeful - out of date as well as sparse. Not as helpful with local info as other places we stayed (we did find a map of Wilderness on the bookshelf under the stairs). One night we needed something to eat but were told there’s nothing take-away in Wilderness with no options, but later discovered we could have ordered from uber eats. Tourist leaflets available in town were good.

The view was amazing and James the host was exceptional. When the taxi company didn’t respond James immediately offered to provide a taxi service himself. The complimentary provisions in the fridge were very welcome and a nice touch. Breakfast was excellent. Will definitely be back for longer next time.

Breakfast, great, so much choice . There are so many little touches that made a difference. Included in price sandwiches, cup cakes, and biscuits fruit for afternoon tea. Fantastic.

what a fantastic place - my girlfriend and i were gutted we had to leave. the location overlooking the beach was spectacular and the owner James had thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast was also a 10/10 - will definitely be back.

We had a fantastic stay at this property. The view was breathtaking and location was perfect just short walk to the beach and 15-20 minutes to the town. The breakfast was delicious, and James was an incredibly hospitable host.

The shower is not private as it’s inside the bedroom,which was a bit uncomfortable since I was sharing the room with a friend,Despite this I still recommend this place for its many positives

Great break from a busy work schedule to R&R ,despite the weather being on the cooler side. Room ,view and property were great. Sleepy wilderness was a pleasant change from busy work routine. Early morning walk on the wilderness beach front ,only a flight of stairs away, and returning to an exceptional breakfast will be missed. Wilderness is also well placed to access the rest of the garden route gems that are only a short drive away. The owner, James,was very friendly and accommodating. Would not hesitate in recommending this as a destination on the garden route.

Lovely stay in great location with access to the beach.

The view is spectacular. The breakfast was excellent. Extra snacks and drinks in the room etc.

The room we had was noisy due to its proximity to the breakfast room and we came back the first night to find it smelt badly of fish due to owners cooking! The room design is not good - the extra large shower is too big for the room. Plus it felt there was no where to put our cases or indeed our wash bag at the sink and it felt the least well thought room. We liked the separate loo which I think other rooms don’t have.

The only thing I would recommend for improvement is to offer breakfast earlier than 8:30/9am as it might crash someone’s day trip plans.

James, the owner of the B&B is a very interesting, welcoming host. Breakfast was the most varied and uncomplicated of our entire holiday. Parking was easy, the bed was big and comfortable and the view was stunning. Its a shame we only stayed for one night.

Staying at the Dune villa Wilderness was the highlight of our holiday so far. A beautiful villa on the Ocean, with stunning views. Our room was spacious, very nicely decorated, with a large balcony overlooking the ocean. Access from the villa direct to the beach with wooden stairs James the owner is a lovely guy, hands on all the time , making sure all is in order. Breakfast had different varieties and very tasty. If we come again to this part of the world we will definitely stay here again.

Although the room was lovely. We personally prefer an en-suite bathroom Rather than an open plan one but other than that it was great. We would still stay there again despite this.
