Beach front is not that good

Boring hotel, nothing special to do, beach has a terrible smell and is ugly. Some staff is rude, save your money go somewhere else.

This was our night trip to this hotel. It has gone down a lot. Staff has gone down paid for Ocean view had nothing but a swamp had to call to get the room cleaned after 332 different days absolutely horrible. Couldn’t wait to leave to come home.

I have stayed at this hotel

First time staying at Ventus, last time we stayed at La Marina the sister resort but preferred this resort. We paid extra for the room upgrade to a swim up room. Staff were very friendly as usual and service was always good. Food options are good and nice to have a coffee shop onsite with pastries for the morning cravings. Great value for money and we will be back again.

Beautiful pools and plenty of lounging areas and seating. Great staff, loved room service and delicious food options late at night.

Ocean was so bad No body use it

We had a wonderful stay at this resort. Food was excellent at the buffets and à la cart. There were a ton of options and the quality, freshness and tastes were great. I want to shout out Liliana who made us eggs every morning in the French restaurant. She was so kind and awesome at her job. The rooms were simple, clean, modern and functional. The pools were awesome as well with a lot of options. If you wanted something quiet or you wanted a party there were options. each pool had a shallow area for kids, which was fantastic. There were a lot of great activities such as Pickleball or staff lead exercises such as stretch stretching (shoutout to Raul)! We really enjoyed the taco Fest and the Independence Day celebrations. The effort to decorate and entertain was amazing. Some things that weren’t so great were the beach which was unusable due to seaweed and the smell. Also wish that there were straws available for those who needed them (such as kids). To add to that it would be nice to have lids for coffee, especially when you take it on the go. Overall, a really great resort although there was no beach the rest of it made up for it. Thank you

I recently stayed at Ventus Marina El Cid in Puerto Morelos. The service throughout my stay was very good — staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure guests were taken care of. The property itself is clean, modern, and well-maintained. The food quality was a little above average, with a variety of choices that were enjoyable. The main disappointment, however, was the beach. It was full of seaweed, and the water had an unpleasant metal/rust-like smell and feeling, which made swimming uncomfortable. This was unfortunate given the otherwise beautiful location. That said, if you drive just about a mile away, you can find much cleaner beaches with clear water. Overall, this resort delivers in terms of service, cleanliness, and decent dining, but if a pristine beach experience is a top priority, you may want to consider other nearby

We upgraded to a walkout pool just to get bit by mosquitoes and there were construction across making it noisy.

Great Food, friendly people,several pools,comfortable beds and excellent air conditioning. Beach is a mess . Not swimmable. Everything else is great . We would stay here again . We had a great week!

this resort is connected to a sister resort right beside it. It was amazing. There’s a free biking excursion the adult pool was amazing. The food at the all day Café absolutely great, nothing bad to say we did go in August, which is our fault because the beach wasn’t clean, but again that’s our fault. Overall the experience was amazing. Remember to take tips though please tip your concierge.

This is my 4th time at this resort. You can't beat how delicious the food is. The Kobo restaurant experience is especially spectacular. The rooms are spacious and clean. I love the adults only pool area and bar. It's a beautiful property with decent gyms.

Everyone was amazing. Staff helpful. The hotel Is well taken care off clean rooms where exceptionally clean and entire property. Only downfall was the smell from the surroundins think it maybe mangrove. Food was good. Dessert was great

The resort had a welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The pool was a crystal-clear water inviting us for a refreshing swim. The area was maintained, with comfortable lounge chairs and vibrant greenery, creating a relaxing oasis. My room was impressively spacious, with high ceilings and tastefully decorated furnishings that added a touch of elegance. The cozy bedding and soothing color palette made it feel like a home away from home, inviting us to unwind after a day of activities. What truly enhanced our experience, however, was the staff. They were attentive and genuinely friendly, always ready with a warm smile and helpful recommendations. Their exceptional service made our stay even more enjoyable and memorable, as we felt truly valued and cared for throughout our visit.

This resort is amazing. Staff is great and will accommodate all your needs. The food was better than any other resort I have stayed at. Lesly at the Marina pool is the best, we had a lot of fun doing water aerobics and crazy hour. Wait staff is very efficient and works very hard to make things perfect.

Power goes down so the AC. No back up power supply for the AC. That was the only thing.

Overall, the hotel is at a good level, with decent food, friendly staff, and a decent selection of restaurants. However, it wasn’t without its downsides — in the last two days of our stay, it was a complete nightmare: no internet coverage, the Wi-Fi didn’t work, there were power outages, they were running on a generator, and the air conditioners didn’t work. Just terrible. But overall, I would rate it 6 out of 10.

Based on package price I paid it was ok but not a recommend resort

If I were to ever consider returning to a place I’ve visited, it would be Ventus—for the wonderful food, the variety of restaurants, the beautiful outdoor spaces and cleanliness, the gorgeous pools, and the convenient transportation between resorts. The only thing that brought its rating down was the ocean, which wasn’t in its favor.

Hotel was very nice, customer service also was very nice, property always clean. What did not like was the beach not able to swim due to ¿rescajo? This is my 2nd time and same happened before, also I think there need better comunication for the tours, we got the Xenote tour and we end paying for others activities (hordses,Cuatri motos aditional

The facilites are very well kept and staff are friendly and attentive. Entertainment was good they had lots of activities by the pool and kids had fun, maybe if they can add another slide for them that would be awesome. We liked that we had access to all 3 El Cid resorts and that they were walkable. Golf carts are available but may tale a bit during peak times. Never waited longer than 5 minutes for a cart. Restaurants were very delicious. The seaweed on the beach and smell of the seaweed made people stay away. All in all property was great.

This property was great! The facility was nice and clean. The staff was super friendly and accommodating! Olaf, at the front desk, was phenomenal! Getting to the property looks a bit sketchy but we always felt completely safe.

As many amenities the resort had unfortunately cleanliness does not seem to be it's priority around the pool/eating areas in particular.

We had an oceanfront Platinum room. The room was good for our family of 4 with the pull down murphy bed. Although my son did say the murphy bed was pretty uncomfortable. We had great maid service every day we were there. The location of our room was great right outside of the pool. Made it super convenient and it was not crowded so there were plenty of pool chairs and cabanas. I will say, the rest of the trip and the resort were very disappointing. The customer service was poor throughout the trip. Everytime we needed a beverage at the pool we had to flag someone down, otherwise they would just race by us and we would have to wait forever for them to come by again. We had 3 butlers but they didn't do much for us during our trip. One of them we didn't even hear from at all the entire trip. The front desk made our dinner reservations for us upon check in. When we had a couple special requests come up during the trip they weren't able to help. And they didn't even know who we were when we passed them several times in the resort throughout our stay. When we stayed at other resorts in the past with butler service they checked in with us many times throughout the trip and they knew who we were. We also had a situation where my son got food poisoning while we were there and was stuck in the room all day. He missed a day of vacation, missed a snorkeling trip we had paid for and no one at the resort had any compassion, offered any help or cared at all.

We really enjoyed the property. Was super hot and would have been helpful if they had more carts since the property is pretty large.

Overall stay is excellent for an all inclusive resort that fits our budget.

El Cid is a great resort.

Everything was amazing! But it needs more of a resort vibe. Night club was missing the vibe and there's no music while at the pool

Buffet food was low quality, I guess due to mass quantities. Mold on room walls and bathroom/shower. Dont like that you cannot make a reservation to restaurants until on property, yet everything is booked when you arrive. No towel service after 6, but the pool is open til 1030. The room smelled awful and the beds were uncomfortable. The waitstaff was highly attentive and the pools qere great, but other than that, was very disappointed. I even brought the mold to the front desks' artention and they completely ignored it. Walked over to Ventus Ha - completely different experience. The place looked and smelled great, the food was good. Ventus at Marina left us not wanting to go back at all!

This property was nice. The other side is more upscale but overall nice property. The seaweed smell was horrible but not the property’s fault.

highly recommend this to be a traveling destination for those who have not been to Cancun this hotel treated us very well staff was very friendly. Food was very good. You had a variety of restaurants for feasting. It was a great stay five stars

Bad smell from the ocean. Beach is contaminated, so no way to swim. If you prefer to swim in the salt water, choose another property.

It was an unforgettable experience. I loved the staff and how much they genuinely care to make your experience as amazing as possible.

Excelente en todos los aspectos, el sargazo nos impidió disfrutar de la playa por el mal olor y contaminación en agua. Aunque espero volver en época que no sea de sargazo porque el área de la playa es espectacular y las facilidades alrededor de estas son excelentes.Staff excelente, piscinas (albercas) excelentes. En cuanto a opciones de comida y espectáculos muy buenas. Lo recomiendo ya que es un excelente lugar .
