Tropical 3bdr poolvilla in heart of Seminyak

So big and spacious. Pool was huge. Rooms all beautiful. Made was so lovely.

The property was perfect for our family of four. It was extremely clean and aesthetic. Made, the housekeeper, was incredible and a highlight of our stay. Good coffee right across the road or a 10 min walk to the heart of Seminyak. Easy to get a Gojek to get there faster as well. The host provided so much helpful information and was friendly and responsive.

The only slight downside was one of the dogs in the laneway was a bit scary. The owner said it was friendly but it often barked and chased us. The other three dogs were good-natured.

There was dogs on the alley way to the villa, which made it difficult for us to leave at certain times.

Fantastic Location, wonderful staff, Sophia and Made made our stay very comfortable. Facilities were great also, we travelled with 2 adult children so there was plenty of space for everyone. Easy walk to everything, and a beautiful relaxing well planned villa to enjoy if you want to stay in for the day.

Nothing I can think of

I can not express enough how wonderful our stay at Villa Sophia was. The villa is beautiful, the pool is huge, and the whole space is like a calm oasis while also being close to all of the action of Seminyak. There are so many great restaurants and shops within walking distance, and it's easy to have food delivered too if you are tired after a big day of exploring. Sophia is absolutely lovely. She was so helpful in every way you could imagine, leaving little touches in the villa that we didn't even know we needed, but we were so grateful for. The welcome breakfast and the fresh fruit left for us on a particularly hot day were such unexpected treats! We felt very well looked after. Made kept the villa spotless and always greeted us with a smile. Thank you to Sophia, Made and the whole team for a wonderful stay! We look forward to returning in the future.

Villa Sophia is an oasis! Beautiful pool, comfy beds and amazing restaurants right at your doorstep. Easy access to all Seminyak has to offer but hidden away for when you want to relax. The host Sophia went above and beyond to provide help and recommendations for delicious restaurants and amazing beach clubs!

The pool, kitchen and dining areas were fantastic. The beds were comfortable too. The rooms and bathrooms were big. We we're greeted by Sophia who was lovely and provided recommendations for dinner and the welcome snacks were a nice touch too.

Sophia the host was lovely. Lots of thoughtful touches and local information. The Villa was cleaned daily. The pool was beautiful. The location was very central.

Villa is clean and perfect for families. Pool is amazing and bigger than what it looks in the photos. Villa staff and owner take a lot of care in making sure your stay is perfect.

Great location, a short walk into Seminyak Square. Sophia was a great host and Made was lovely. Both catered to our needs as required.

Photos don’t do the place justice. The owner, Sophia is lovely, very responsive and helpful. She made our stay and our trip incredible with endless recommendations, tips and nice little touches. She checked up on us and our stay and even added an additional sun bed when she noticed that we pulled a chair out next to the two sun beds. Our needs were meet promptly when we needed items in the Villa. We have never encountered such a friendly and wonderful host. The location of the property is perfect, it is quiet but very close to all the main attractions in Seminyak that’s either a walk or 5 min car ride away. Daily cleaning is a nice touch and the cleaners are also very sweet and nice.

It felt like a home away from home. From the airport pickup until the day we departed our stay was absolutely amazing!

Hot water in the main bedroom never heated up but that wasn’t a drama

It is a beautiful, clean and charming Villa, well located. Sophia was super courteous and even picked us up from the airport for free as part of a new year promotion. We could also keep our luggage in the villa for a few more hours after our check-out. Also, thanks to Madde who kept the Villa clean and cosy. We might be back very soon :)

Villa Sophia definitely lived up to its expectation of being chic and central. As a group of six travellers, the three bedroom and two bathroom Villa was stylishly comfortable and well equipped for adults and teenagers alike. Its quiet location provided a convenient and peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Jalan Legian and Jalan Petitenget. The warm hospitality and service provided by Sophia and Made her manager gave the stay a personal touch. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We would highly recommend Villa Sophia to visitors of Seminyak seeking a relaxed and comfortable local experience.

We had an absolute great time in villa Sophia. I can’t think of anything that we did not like. Made the cleaninglady was very lovely, she sometimes helped me with our daughter, which was really nice of her. All bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. One bedroom came with a tv area with a big tv so our daughter could watch Netflix. The beds were super comfy . We spend most of the time in the living room and pool area. The location of the villa was close to all the restaurants and shops. We are with a kid so we didn’t want to walk too far for food. For breakfast we went to Basil Kitchen, they serve great coffee and food, and for dinner to Sansaka, which was right next door.

Good size fridge and water filter with chilled and boiling water. Good air-con. Location was not too far off the main street in Seminyak (Eat Street - Jl. Kayu Aya). Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were of good size. Felt safe with CCTV at the front door and high surrounding walls. Pool was nicely kept and got a lot of sun during the day.

Photos had cushions on the sun beds which looked super comfortable, though we were greeted with different sun beds with no cushion. Also there were only 2 sun beds. Cleaner was friendly, though took hours a day to clean. Slightly annoying when someone’s hanging around in your villa. Toilet in the main bathroom was dodgy - hardly ever flushed.

Location of the villa is near to nightlife and beaches... There are 3 bedrooms in total and all comes with queen beds, one of which comes with tv! 2 GIGANTIC bathrooms, however 1 of which is shared. Pool is always a great way to start off the day. Villa comes with free wifi, cooking stove, fridge and almost all cooking utensils you need to fix a simple meal. In its entirety, the villa is a very comfortable environment with no noisy neighbours coupled with slight touch of balinese feel...

Manageable ones: - There were a couple of power outage. - The toilet flush in the shared bathroom works intermittently. - Cap of light fitting on the false ceiling came loose after a heavy thunderstorm. But I gotta say, we're big boys and we fix what we could. No biggie... guests who aren't technically savvy may faces issues. They are also normal defects you tend to get at home so, really no biggie. The one that affects us the most during our stay is lack of signage to the villa. Food delivery to your doorstep could be a challenge and many a times, we gotta walk out to the main road to collect our food. Even the airport transfer guys took awhile to locate the villa as well... 😅

what I like… there are three rooms. tv in one room. water dispenser available glasses and some crockery available if you contact booking.com , response seems very professional and fast. that’s the good part but when you are actually there, you do not see this professional part. the actual stay duration. like what I said,my fault, totally booked a place that is different from my expectations. maybe because the Villa is 9million -10 mill rupiah for three nights. so probably cannot expect much.

hmmm…… I really wanted to like this property. but…. Firstly, according to others it’s walking distance but I could hardly call it walking distance with kids. Short distance by car to the nice stretch at Kaya Ayu but takes very long to walk. tried to but ended up hailing a cab. maybe it’s suitable for couples who can really walk. The Villa is located at a pretty isolated area. the surrounding area is pretty empty and dark except for a group of men staying in a house with blinds drawn. there are two mini Marts outside. Two quiet restaurants in the vicinity. very quiet street. maybe it’s me, couldn’t sleep throughout. every motorbike noise at the side dark unlit roadwoke me up, knowing there is no one nearby. no one works near the Villa. maybe it’s my mistake of not reading carefully. there is no one to help with the luggage or arrange anything at a fee. no dryer. only upon request. power tripped twice and no water and electricity. didn’t know initially how to turn on because it’s located at a hidden spot. probably my fault. been to Bali many times. this is the most bare unit. would recommend this to unfussy guests. I am not one of those. bedrooms pillows smell a bit damp. towels also smelled very strongly of some bleach kind of smell. bring your own towels. no tissues in room or toilet. amentities available like showergel, hand wash, lotion and shampoo. toilet is interesting. there is a sign that says something like” do not throw toilet paper, diaper and napkins into the bowl” how do people use the bowl then? feels very primitive. wanted to swim but the water did not look inviting. what surprised me was the lady who was tasked to open the door. everything we asked she said not available. asked for number to order food. asked for transport to be arranged. those are easy stuff. surprised villa owners didn’t get a more experienced lady or guy to run this Villa. only a cleaning lady. she seemed very frail and was coughing as she was cleaning. poor thing.

Made was incredible!! They were so accomodating and the facilities were everything we needed and more

It could benefit from more outdoor lounges

Excellent stay This was the third time we stayed at villa Sophia, it felt like coming home. The villa got a make-over, and we loved the new tasteful design. The cleaning lady Made was very lovely, she made sure we had a comfortable stay. The bedding was super, all bedrooms had duvets instead sheets. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean and spacious. All restaurants were on walking distance, we loved Basil Kitchen , great food for a very reasonable price. And there was this little spa and sport bar 1 min from the villa, everything was so close by. We loved our stay, it was our little paradise.
