Pas trop d ambiance le soir au bar ni dans la salle, trop d éclairage alors que le décor était sophistiqué Une personne seule pour le bar et le service à table ce n est pas assez

The warmth and thats all

Check in at 7 pm we expected attention we had to wait for someone in-house that came to the counterto pay their food bill in the middle of our check in we were asked to wait. Receptionist lead us to room was hanging iver my pillows to see if the switch was in behind the bed for the heated flooring. Supper was terrible For a boutique hotel i expected the best serving I got hard stale chips and a burnt steak The kitchen should have I Options for starch like baked potato Just a steak with chips No veggies added .Definitely no value for money . Breakfast was bland not many options Staff dont go and extra mile It was the boutique hotel that made me book thinking it was attention to detail but I was dissappointed Hotels make a better effort One would think a small boutique hotel will be more more effort made I wont go back A high pricing for the room due to the snow but the prices didn't suit the service

THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY & EVER SO WILLING TO ASSIST. THE HOTEL ROOM WAS NEAT. THE RESTUARANT SERVED A VERY GOOD SELECTION & VARIETY OF FOOD.

IT WAS EXTREMELY COLD IN OUR BEDROOM BECAUSE THE FLOOR HEATING IN OUR ROOM DIDN'T WORK PROPERLY, ALTHOUGH ONE OF THE STAFF DID TRY TO ASSIST US WITH THIS.

The service was warm and attentive, the accommodation was comfortable, and the overall experience felt truly special. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend it.

There’s a strong animal excrement smell at the entrance and it is constantly challenging dealing with the flies. Flies are all over food and in the restaurant, same at breakfast. Had heard such good things about the restaurant however Dinner and service was subpar and did not meet expectations. Had to request assistance twice and steak was incorrectly cooked and needed to go back to the kitchen. Apple crumble was delicious

I loved the fresh towels and linen. Comfortable, warm and clean

Somethings are perhaps a bit outdated and maybe a Nespresso machine in the rooms would be a nice touch

Position ideal for sani pass.property was immaculate,nicely decorated.The food was delicious and plentiful and also with drinks reasonably priced.Our bedroom nu 1 was extremely large,sitting area and full bathroom.Grouds were impressive

Sensacional tudo muito limpo e perfeito, funcionários sempre dispostos a ajudar, super prestativos. O gestor Sr Mário sempre disposto a ajudar e a resolver qualquer problema dos hóspedes. Ele me ajudou inclusive com o meu carro que teve problemas de bateria . 5 estrelas .

Die Weitläufigkeit der Anlage und natürlich der Charme einer anderen Generation bzw die Historie des Anwesens. Das Personal war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit und nicht zu vergessen das tolle Essen 😋

Prachtig gelegen Manor met parkachtige tuin. Old skool engelse interieur. Vriendelijk personeel en uitgebreid ontbijt. Ideaal startpunt voor Sani pas experience naar Lesotho.

A lovely boutique hotel, in a beautiful setting with spacious grounds. Quiet and secluded. With outside sitting areas. Well-appointed and comfortable room.

Everything would have been perfect apart from one disappointment. The dinner menu included three vegetarian options, but two were pasta dishes - so not options when you are gluten intolerant. First night had the lentil and chickpea curry. Was excellent, but little hot. Asked whether a vegetable plate would be possible for the next supper. When we arrived for supper we were told that was not possible. We would have to choose from the menu (i.e., no new option). This despite the fact that there were vegetable dishes on the menu, potatoes, rice (and indeed mushrooms and tomatoes on breakfast menu). Totally surprised that kitchen staff could not pull something together! Not customer service at its best..

Der Garten, ein botanisches Gedicht , lädt zum Verweilen und Staunen ein, während die Küche jeden Tag aufs Neue mit kulinarischen Meisterwerken überrascht. Unser Zimmer war stilvoll, gemütlich und mit Blick ins Grüne und auf den See, ein Rückzugsort voller Ruhe. Wir haben nicht nur wunderbar geschlafen und gegessen, sondern auch wundervolle Begegnungen erlebt. Danke, Moorcroft Manor, für diese kostbaren Tage

Lovely location, lovely staff, lovely rooms, fantastic food. My overseas clients loved Moorcroft.

I loved my stay here again. It was my birthday retreat and what a lovely celebration. The staff baked me a rich, delicious chocolate cake! As usual, the women staff were attentive and friendly, as was the kind gentleman at reception. I can't wait to return!

Great food and such an awesome place

Essen auf Gourmet Niveau, sehr freundliches Personal, super Lage als Ausgangspunkt für die Fahrt nach Lesotho über den Sani-Pass. Empfehlung!

We only stayed three nights at Moorcroft, but we loved every minute. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with tea and scones in the warm afternoon sun. Dinner that evening was a highlight – the steak was excellent. The staff were warm, helpful and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. Although the weather was cold, the fireplaces in the common areas were always going. Our room stayed cosy with the heater, and the heated bathroom made a real difference. The views were stunning, and we enjoyed a relaxing walk around the dam. Even the braying donkey and crowing rooster added to the charm and atmosphere. Evenings were spent sipping whisky in front of roaring fires before dinner – the perfect way to end the day. It was a fantastic stay, and we left feeling refreshed and grateful.

Moorcroft Manor has a spectacular mountain view, and, as it was a clear night, the most expressive sky at night. Mr Clement at Reception was such a gent - he handled my arrival with charm and efficiency. As for the women of the Manor - well, they're all just superb!

It was a small pity that the lovely shrubs in my garden enclosure were so overgrown that they hid the mountain view and the nightsky. It would've been lovely sit in privacy and stare at the Mountain and the Constellations.

I love the grounds and a personal touch to the experience, amazing staff members from reception to the waitresses, cleaners and groundsmen.

It’s fairly old and needs a revamp and some love for the grade and for the establishment in that league. The value for money would be much more should it be revamped.

A lovely hotels surrounded by beautiful mountains, very peaceful and quiet. It's also in a perfect location for a day trip up the Sani pass. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, staff was friendly. If I'm ever back in this area, I'm definitely coming here again.

A mattress topper

The discription had said the room balcony has the mountain view but in reality it was fully enclosed no views

The rooms is very nice, and lay out is good

The floor mats is a bit old. The fruit was old inside the room.

Beautiful rooms in a stunning location.

We thought the food was not good value for money. We were only served the full breakfast buffet on only one morning. The other morning there was no fruit or cheeses etc. The dinners were average with bones in the fish and the one baked chicken dish with broccoli was awful. Broccoli hard and a couple of tiny chicken pieces. There was no reaction when we pointed it out. On previous visits the food was much better

Nothing, wish we could have stayed longer

The breakfast was great.....the bacon not so much (cut was way to thick and unpleasant - surely better options availalble everywhere). The beef curry during dinner was exceptional!!! Staff were great. Setting beautiful.

Your price for 2 room - standard room - at R2800 per night was hugely expensive. I fully understand you are running a place in a remote location etc.....but wow? I had the option of paying +- R1750 at adequate competitors, and still booked with you, expecting a much better quality room and experience. The night before, we stayed at a better establishment in the Midlands for R1780. Unfortunately, your value for money experience didn't stack up. Just my opinion.....

One of the ladies (Asiphe or something)?I forgot her name . were very rude. She made my stay horrible. Asking her nice to help me with woods night that I arrived and also following morning she was extremely rude. I will never go to this place if I find her there I will go back. Also they should re do the bed before guest arrive especially if the room was not in use for looong. I got frightened when a spider 🕷️ was crawling on my hand while sleeping 😭

I didn't like the adjoining door between the 2 rooms in the chalet. It meant I could hear everything single thing my neighbours were saying and doing.
