The people here don’t care about the hotel they never made me feel at home and charged me for something I didn’t even see actually they charged my father in law who’s an elderly man who tried explaining but even the manager was mean at his the y charged us for a 100 pesos glass we never saw

Nothing really it’s not different from any other hotel downtown except for the horrible experience even the ladies at the front desk don’t take their job seriously

The renovation of the centuries-old building and courtyards were tasteful and the decor was charming. The staff were professional and very helpful. The location is only two blocks from the cathedral and Zocolo. Street noise was not an issue. There are many nearby dining options. The hotel is divided between two adjacent courtyards with four rooms above the first courtyard and other rooms on the ground and upper floor of the further courtyard. The dining room is also used for meetings and banquets. There is also a nice bar that fronts on the street in which you can eat. We were there for five nights in two rooms on the first courtyard. Our second room, the Presidential Suite (112), allowed cross ventilation between the courtyards through the large front and rear doors prior to closing them for the night. That room also has AC, although we didn't use it. Overall we would recommend the hotel. The Booking rates were better than at the desk.

Our initial room (111) was stuffy and without ventilation, except for a corner tower fan. Okay when the door was open. It would have benefitted from AC. The breakfast, while good, was not generous and consisted of different egg choices. Bread and tortillas cost extra. There is a weekend brunch buffet but that does not come with the room. We did not mind the noise from the dining/meeting area, but it might annoy others. If so, consider rooms on the further courtyard although we didn't stay there.

La atención de todo el personal, todos son muy amables, sobre todo la recepcionista del turno vespertino y el señor que recibe las maletas, bueno, en realidad todos fueron muy amables en todo momento. La hospitalidad de las personas que ahí trabajan es extraordinaria, no me equivoque en elegir ese bonito lugar para hospedarme, hizo de mi viaje placentero.

En unos de los dias pedimos que la persona de la limpieza fuera más tarde, ya que saldríamos un poco más tarde y solo dejo las toallas , pero ese día no fue a realizar el aseo, además que solo.dejo una toalla y éramos dos personas, las otras eran toallas.para secar las manos, fuera de eso, todo bien.

Estupendo desayuno y ubicación. Gran lugar para visitar el centro de Puebla y alrededores.

El personal que recibe puede ser más atento. Les hice un par de requerimientos durante mi estadía que fueron perfectamente ignorados. Y su actitud tampoco fue la mejor.

Todo muy lindo.

Todo fue fabuloso. El hotel es hermoso, la habitación inmensa y bellísima, muy limpio y cómodo. El servicio y la atención fueron superlativos. El personal del hotel nos recibió con tragos de cortesía y subieron nuestro equipaje a la habitación una vez fue posible hacer check in. También se ocuparon de contratarnos un taxi para ir hacia la terminal de autobuses al momento de irnos de la ciudad. El desayuno es delicioso y si vas en fin de semana puedes tener acceso a un gran bufet lleno de delicias locales por unos pocos pesos más.

Lo único negativo fue que la habitación, al no tener ventanas, era bastante calurosa y el aire se sentía estancado.

Las recepcionistas tienen muy poco control de las reservas y servicios que ofrece el hotel. En el check-in iban y venian con las preguntas que les hacia sobre el desayuno, pago, anticipo, etc. En la reserva de booking.com menciona que el costo incluye el desayuno pero ya en establecimiento solicitas el desayuno y los meseros tardan demasiado en servir y atender, hay buffet al que se tiene acceso con costo adicional y por el tiempo tomamos la desicion de hacer uso de él pero esto sucedió en todos los días de alojamiento, esto parece mas una estrategia conveniente para agregar costos. Solicitaron una deposito de $1,000 en el check-in que, en teoria serviría para tener cuenta abierta en el hotel pero durante mi estancia no me permitieron cargar servicio, desayuno ni pago de estacionamiento, en el check-out no me reembolsaron el deposito y debo esperar a que me banco haga el proceso.

Great location and. Helpful staff. The hotel makes you feel like you are in Spain with its original decor and style. Next time I will choose a different room to get some natural light, preferably one of the two at the rear of the hotel. Every room is different and unique.

Es un hotel bonito, muy al estilo colonial y bien ubicado en el centro, todo te queda caminando. Las habitaciones están cómodas y el desayuno incluido está bien, nada complicado pero cumple.

Great hotel, 2 blocks from the Zololo so centrally located but no traffic or city noise. Our room was so comfortable and clean, espresso coffee machine was a real plus. Lovely, freshly cooked breakfast every morning with plenty of fresh coffee. Finally, the staff were simply amazing. Always polite, friendly and happy to help.

Great place great location

Beautiful, interesting and historic. Close to the Zocalo and the breathtaking cathedral.

The room was a bit stuffy and there is no outside window, so the only way to ventilate is to leave the door open. However, the hotel is friendly and safe so that wasn’t a big deal. Also, it’s very old and gives a bit of a haunted vibe.

Very spacious room and bathroom. Great shower. Very comfortable. Common areas are ok. Breakfast was quite nice, we got huevos rancheros.

Only has a courtyard window but I guess that's fairly common in Mexico - and noone could see in as we were up high. A kettle and teas would have been nice as well as the nespresso machine, and access to more water (we got one large carafe). Area is fine, short walk to main square and a more trendy area is a bit south east but also very close.

Todo estuvo perfecto excepto que en Expedía anuncian que todos los cuartos cuentan con aire acondicionado, yo renté 2 cuartos por 3 noches y solamente la suite cuenta con AC lo bueno que no es verano y la temperatura de la ciudad es un poco fría…… la atención de todo el personal es excelente el desayuno incluido muy bueno y si gustan pedir ala carta los precios son muy razonables bueno en lo personal para mí son bajos

Hablé DOS veces para confirmar si el hotel es pet friendly para poder llevar a mi perrito y las dos veces me dijeron que sin ningún problema nos recibían. Cuando llegué, en recepción me dijeron que tenía que pagar mil pesos adicionales para poder entrar con mi mascota (algo que no me comentaron las dos veces que hablé por teléfono antes de reservar. Se me hizo injusto y pedí hablar con el jefe. Me comunicaron CON EL DUEÑO quien con una actitud muy grosera y arrogante me dijo que si no pagaba me fuera (a pesar de que ya eran casi las 12 de la noche) Adicionalmente, mi perro no podía estar en varias áreas del hotel...así que no podía a bajar a desayunar Creo que a los cuartos les hace falta limpieza en general

PÉSIMA ATENCIÓN!!! Hablamos DOS veces para confirmar que pudiéramos llevar a nuestra perrita y nos dijeron que sin problema y jamás nos mencionaron que tuviéramos que pagar un fee extra POR NOCHE para tenerla. Cuando llegamos nos dijeron que no podíamos pasar sin antes pagar $1,000 MXN adicionames así que pedimos hablar con el gerente y nos comunicaron con el dueño y de muy mala forma nos dijo que si no pagábamos $1,000 nos fuéramos (eran las 12 de la noche). Es increíble que siendo el dueño nos haya tratado así y preferir perder clientes por $1,000. Evidentemente los pagamos, pero el trato que recibimos fue de lo peor y hubiera sido muy diferente la historia si nos lo hubieran pedido de buena forma. Las habitaciones sucias, no servía la puerta del baño, no había forma de cerrarla y tampoco podíamos poner el cerrojo de la puerta. El aire acondicionado olía a humedad.

Las fotos del hotel no le hacen justicia a la realidad, superó mis expectativas!!! Nos encantó la decoración, el servicio y la amabilidad del personal sobre todo de Eymen encargado de mantener el hotel en operación!! En general todo excelente 100% recomendable atención, desayuno ubicación etc. volvería de nuevo sin dudarlo!

It is a very good option if you travel to Puebla

The staff went over and above to serve us. Every one of them was immediately there, from the night watchman Ivor, to Karina at the front desk, to the breakfast waiters Luis, Alejandro, and Francisco. The included breakfast was delicious, they even held my special bag of groceries in their fridge for me and made my protein shakes for me without question each morning. The hotel is extremely elegant, with no expense spared in the renovations - it has a gorgeous colonial feel with Louis XVth provincial appeal. We spoke to the owners as they were socializing in one of the areas with visiting family. They took the time to tell us about the history of this grand home, and about the stages of renovations. Should you need meeting space, on the top floor is a great room for business or private events. Our room was absolutely gorgeous, again with a french provincial feel to it but with all modern amenities. We highly recommend Marques Del Angel hotel - the location is so close to the Zocalo, safe neighborhood, lots of great restaurants nearby. They are also connected to a tour company and can help you with your tour tickets. It's a must stay place while in Puebla

The building gorgeous and epic. The inner courts are beautifully designed and are cool in middle of day. The breakfast is simple but well made with care. The staffeare also very professional and helpful. I totally suggest this as the base to walk and explore the center

Delightful place to call home for a few nights. Beautiful building with lots of indoor plants. Nice breakfast provided each morning. Borrowed bikes from the front desk for one day, that was fun! Easy to walk to anything central from this location.

Very nice staff, clean rooms.

Staff here is nice, but the hotel itself is really not a 4* hotel. We were in January and the room temperature was really cold when we arrived. Asked for a heater-they have none. Also, there is a fan in the room, so hotel could have just bought a fan who not just cools but also warms the weather or install an a/c. Also there was no hot water an evening we arrived. The staff on the frontdesk and the restaurant barely speaks english so it is really hard to communicate. Breakfast are very limited as for 4*. Parking costs extra.

It was a beautiful hotel, staff is very friendly. Breakfast was very tasty. Close to the downtown, yet semi-quiet street.

Quiet back room in first floor. Big rooms for family of 4 . We had a suite so kids in separate rooms. Staff works had and tries to please

No heat in rooms. Breakfast was freezing since in patio and had to ask for heat to be turned on in late December.
