The location is perfect, a block from the beach & many yummy places to eat.

The rooms were small with a good deal of unused space with a large refrigerator that was exposed to the patio via a sliding glass door. A blackout curtain blocked the patio lights & exposure to the breakfast staff.

We stayed at Casa Maria for 2 nights and loved it. Beautiful view, the host is super and had a lot of reccomantions for where we could eat and drink and also avoid the most touristic places. Also a bonus that we had our own kitchen.

Breakfast could have been better

It was clean and close to everything. Also, the staff was remarkable. I stayed there when the cartel violence happened and everything shut down. The staff provided lunch and dinner on Sunday. They also kept the pool bar open to provide drinks, alcoholic and non. I can’t speak higher about the exceptional hospitality.

Its location is unbeatable; you’re truly in the heart of the action with everything just steps away. Perfectly located in Zona Romantica, steps from the beach, but also very quiet and secluded. Lovely rooms, with great balconies on the upper floors. Partial sea view. Nice simple breakfast and the staff are incredibly friendly.

My first night was very unpleasant. I asked to change rooms and once I had changed rooms my stay was good.

I was first placed in a room that had two very noisy ventilation units right outside the bathroom window. The noise was so strong that I could not think straight. I tried to distract myself by watching YouTube videos but the wifi constantly broke up and so I gave up. Once I had changed rooms the new room was fine and quiet and the wifi worked well. Prospective guest should seek assurances that they will not be placed in a room near ventilation units (I suspect that the greater majority of rooms are not near ventilation units but you are still playing Russian roulette when you book).

I’ve come to Casa Maria for the last six years. I’ve stayed there about 10 times each time. It just feels like the people are very genuine and friendly, and the staff are like family at this point.

Well, have been honest I do wish they had nicer linens are like a comforter that was nicer and nice for towels, but the ones I had for clean functional just not highest quality

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel - its super colourful, the staff are lovely, it's in a great location just a few minutes walk from the beach, there is a nice little pool and bar - and the room was very comfortable.

My husband got sick the day after arrival. Juan Carlos immediately had a cab take us to the hospital. Burst appendix! He was taken very good care of for several days and I was taken very good care of by all of the gracious staff at Casa Maria.They are fantastic!

My only complaint was the noise below our room as they are building a restaurant for the hotel. I’m sure it will be finished by the time we visit again…

Great location to the beach and may restaurants

Bra läge, mycket trevlig personal, fint poolområde, färgglatt, trevliga och rymliga rum, bekväma sängar och kuddar, kylskåp, strandväska och strandhanddukar.

Wifi på rummet var dåligt men vid poolen bra. Lite tråkig frukost! Tycker att ska man servera yoghurt kan ”skålen” vara större än en äggkopp, samt att det vore trevligt med färskt bröd EJ typ hårda toasts. Lyhört mellan rummen.

The staff was wonderful and room very comfortable . I had ask for a upper full but was put on the ground floor which turned out to much better for us anad the room was perfect. Love the decor and the cleanness of the whole hotel.

I wish the breakfast had had real rolls or bread instead of dried toast but it was very good otherwise.

This hotel is well located and managed with super friendly staff. Would definitely stay again. It bright and cheerful with a nice pool and bar area. Not to big either so not to many people there at any time.

Que no pude gestionar el pago directo en la app, pero me dieron solución muy facil.

The hotel is very colorful and quiet despite the fact it's right at central area. 5 mins walks from the Pier, the beaches and close to all restaurants and bars. The hotel facility is clean, room is spacious and clean as well. Continental breakfast included. Staffs are super friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend for anyone to stay here when travel to Puerto Vallarta.

Friendly, clean and great Zona Romantica location.

I love the colorful ambiance it gives right when you enter the hotel. The staff was so nice and attentive. The beds are comfortable and the AC works great. Restaurant is too stinking cute, we took pictures in there a few times because of the decor. The beach is only one block away which made it very easy to come & go. We will definitely come back in the future.

Place was great. Calm and quiet. Tons of dining around. Beach was 2 blocks away. Would stay here again!

The staff was very friendly amd attentive. They took care of a couple of concerns and requests immediately. The room was comfortable and had good water pressure and great AC. The hotel is walking distance to everything in ZR.

Pros: clean, great pool, friendly staff. Cons: consider changing mattresses that have indentations.

I absolutely loved my stay at this charming, family-owned boutique hotel. The artwork, the location, the cleanliness, and the sweet breakfast were all perfect. I also made wonderful friends with the staff, who truly made me feel at home. Beautiful memories were created through happy moments and endless sunsets. I couldn't ask for more. Cute and quaint hotel. Excellent service from Luis and all staff were friendly and helpful. Great location central to many good restaurants and walkable stops. Also, breakfast was great to have every morning. My only take away on star was the bed was made up pretty, mattress could be more comfy. Overall, it was a great stay. I would consider again for my next stat in Zona Romantica.

It starts with a tradition: a sip of the magical waters, a connection between guests. You had to be there to experience it. There was one small annoyance for me, a small bed. But the joyful accommodation of the staff, the whimsical decorations everywhere, murals and angel wings and positive messages on the steps made the entire experience large, enjoyable, unique. Go for it.

I had high expectations for this property based on the photos and the hotel did not disappoint. The rooms are finished to a very high standard, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom excellent. My room had direct access to the pool and the class windows provided all the privacy needed. The included breakfast was adequate although pastries are available at minimal cost. I would recommend Casa Maria and will come back.

This is more for as an fyi for people with reduced mobility; the hotel is located up a steep hill with multiple steps to climb. This can be challenging in the heat of Vallarta.

The hotel that I stayed in on previous visits to PV closed and I spent a long time reviewing other options before booking at Casa Maria. The hotel is beautifully finished both the grounds and the rooms. My room lead directly to the pool and provided access to the sun loungers and swimming pool. My room was finishing to a very high standard using bright colours. I can highly recommend Casa Maria with one important caveat; there are a series of steps to navigate when travelling up from Olas Altas. I loved my stay and will come back.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We were a group of eight individuals. We celebrated my husbands 40th Birthday. Everything was amazing in the location. The service, the cleanness of the room. The swimming pool. The bar drinks would definitely stay there again. Definitely will be recommending this location to everyone. I know Catalina was amazing.

I don’t think it is humanly possible to have more fun staying somewhere, Casa Maria was a delight in every way, but mostly for the staff and other guests. I met people to go out with every night, and every night was a party. The bar tender Catalina even arranged a piñata to celebrate the birthdays of some of the other guests, it was a blast and the perfect home base for enjoying Puerto Vallarta!

Super cute boutique hotel 1½ blocks from the beach in the heart of Zona Romantica. I really can't say enough good about this place: the staff is so kind helpful and fun, the location in the Zona is superb, the decor is beautiful fun and vibrant, the pool and courtyard are spotlessly clean and perfectly maintained just like the rooms... we absolutely loved our stay and plan to go back just like you will if you go. My only caution would be for people with mobility issues, if you're familiar with PV you know there are areas that get very steep and the sidewalk in front of the hotel has some pretty steep stairs so be aware of that if it could be a concern for you.

Casa Maria is a small and lovely hotel in the Zona Romantica neighborhood. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. There is a cafe/bakery that offers a complimentary breakfast which includes beautifully presented fruits, granola, bread, jam and yogurt. The decor is colorful and fun. It is about 2 blocks away from Playa De Los Muertos Pier, but feels quiet and tucked away for being in such a popular area. The staff offered guidance and advice on things to do, since this was our first visit to Mexico. We cannot wait to return!

My wife and i loved this hotel and the staff. In the heart of the Zona Romántica with tons of great restaurants and beach within walking distance. We cant wait to go back 😎
