Wonderful quirky old hotel, stayed several times before. The bar the coffee area restaurant all very welcoming and homely.
The pillows were awful, woke every morning with a very sore neck. They were so hard like bricks. The duvet also was far too big for tre bed and far too heavy.
Schönes gepflegtes historisches Hotel
Good
Nothing
Brilliant location and wonderful friendly staff.
The pillows were terrible! Really lumpy and uncomfortable. The crockery in the dining room at times was dusty and a bit dirty.
Excellent hotel would definately stay there again
Nothing
Location, very quaint property, staff were excellent
But warm and floor was a bit uneven in the room but it is god knows how old !!
Historic building sensitively modernised
Nothing
Everything. We love this hotel
Nothing to dislike
Had a lovely stay at the hotel ...very traditionally English very nice all the quirks of an old building...very cental middle of Ledbury great town clock chiming ..coffee shops very close all very nice
We arrived at eleven and wanted to get one drink from the bar after a long journey but it was closed...even though we we're staying no alcohol to got a big disappointment
Everything we have been many times and it’s one of my favourite places in the world
Everything
Location, pub, friendly
Undulating room 4 floor That it didn’t have aircon There were no hooks
First time we have stayed here, room very nice and clean we had a great dinner Phoebe our server was very good two small things,Armanda was very loud and he threw our dessert spoons on the table and walked away also people with drinks were walking in and out of the restaurant there was a lovely ambience until they did that
Pillows not comfortable.
Lots of character, beautifully furnished
Nothing
We came over to Ledbury to meet family for lunch .We had seen the menu on line and it looked good .However when our food came it was overcooked bland tasteless and overpriced.Overall it was very disappointing . Il
Extremely helpful and charming staff - all of them. The room was well appointed and extremely comfortable. And the food, dinner and breakfast were excellent.
Need a bit of guidance to get into the carpark; it's not easy to work out how to access it. And it is tight to get in, and short of spaces.
Lovely staff, relaxed atmosphere and fab location
WiFi poor in areas
Upmarket comfortable great facilities
Everything
Parking was very tight. I had already read about it and I park in the more accessible car park right behind the feathers
Professianal attitude Lovely hotel and staff
Nothing
The situation, the old building and the sraff.
The shower didn't work in Room 23, there was no hand rail for the bath and the rubber non slip mat was in a white back hanging from the door with the label not visible. As a result, I slipped trying to get out of the bath and deluged the floor. Also, the entrance to the car park is very narrow and I scratched the car on entering. It is very difficult to access this entrance head on because cars are frequently parked outside the Talbot Hotel opposite and accessing a wide car at an angle may mean scratching the offside of the vehicle. Since staying here about 20 years ago, the hotel is no longer independent and now part of a chain. It has gone down market with lots of badly dressed people crossing the restaurant for access to the beer garden at the rear of the property.
Excellent location for what we wanted.
Didn't have the ability to open the windows as much as we would have liked to get more air into the room, it was during the time with higher than average summer temperatures; we were on the first floor facing the main street and the limit of opening would have been for security purposes. The room had many exposed beams and had many dust traps and we were nervous about using the fan provided as that would have disturbed hidden dust that would have aggravated my Hay Fever.
We have visited Ledbury several times over the past 3 years, but had never stayed at the Feathers before. We were amazed by the standard of our room which was faultless. All the staff were extremely polite and helpful and the meal we had there was excellent. We would definitely stay there again and would thoroughly recommend it.
Had a lovely lunch at The Feathers Hotel, well worth a visit and suitable for lunch, coffee or dinner i suspect. Really quaint and Ledbury is very picturesque.
Joe was exceptional! So friendly, efficient, nothing was too microbe and a sense a humour too! Highly recommend. Thank you x
The staff went beyond their remit to help me with particular problems. They put me at ease whilst acting in a very professional manner.
No lift
Nice spacious room and good bath
Beds and pillows were very hard, next to no padding between the springs so you can feel them.
Beautiful room, gorgeous decor, large space with high ceilings. Great amenities, much better than many 4-star hotels I have been to. Really friendly, helpful staff. Clean room and comfortable bed. The breakfast food was also lovely, and well presented.
Room was slightly stuffy or hot but this was likely due to hot post-heatwave weather! This was greatly mitigated/helped thanks to hotel providing 3 fans (!) for free, which really helped us be comfortable despite the very hot July weather.
Central location. Quirky features and good breakfast.
Parking - tight squeeze to park and get out.
The room was immaculately presented so a superb job had been done by housekeeping. The food was very good, the location, perfect and the hotel itself, was characterful and inviting

Lovely decor and lots of character
Very hot and no air conditioning .
A perfect old English hotel with a wonderful atmosphere.
Our room facing the street was noisy quite early in the morning.
Lovely visit here on Friday for lunch, busy but not crowded and enough staff to cope, great lunch menu we had delicious sandwiches and soups, the ladies also indulged and had cocktails. Staff were excellent, friendly and attentive without being over bearing, very comfortable dining area with lots of outside space if you prefer. Highly recommend
It was very oldie wordlie
Nothing
Amazing 15th century building with flair, lovely decorations, spirit of a traditional typical British hotel. Hotel staff super supportive and polite. My room (21) is big, extremely comfy, superbly middle-aged decorated, with a large and well equipped bath. Very centrally located. The restaurant offers great food and the breakfast is fantastic.
Nothing.
Food at b/fast and dinner very good. Service was excellent and you felt “looked after”. Room was okay but exceptionally hot weather was somewhat of a problem. Maybe a single sheet covering rather than a heavy duvet might have been better.
Staff were brilliant, lively, friendly and competent. Decor is really enjoyable, makes the hotel feel like home from home. Breakfast was very good indeed, well cooked and served on really hot plates which makes such a difference. Dinner menu was tasty and attractive, and sandwiches at lunch very good. We loved our stay, and didn't really want to go home.
Its nit picking, but the beef in my sandwich had a bit too much gristle in it, and would have been tastier if it had been cut really thin, with several slices rather than one chunky one.
The room was wonderful. We were in the Titian room, with reproductions of Titian self portraits and his version of The Last Supper, along with historical notes. It was an education. And the room itself was sumptuous. (and with aircon for those heatwave weeks!) The bar was inviting, I used it regularly to do some work (I know, holiday!) but there was also the coffee shop and the comfortable reception area to sit and work. The restaurant had a good selection of food, the staff were always friendly and it was perfectly situated in the heart of Ledbury, a springboard for our exploration of the Malvern Hills.
The bathroom had an uneven and squeaky floor and the shower was a little underpowered but seriously, these are minor quibbles.
Twice the price and half the quality compared with my favourite place in Bransford. Only one Vegan main option now. The bread and olices was all bread, with some pepper, onion and tasteless. The smell of fish was overwhelming.
Fabulous location and building
Nothing
Everything. The character, the staff, the different areas - from the staff, quirky rooms, cozy bar, comfy lounge, nice restaurant & our favourite, the lovely beer garden.
Not much at all! Was very hot in the room, but it was a heatwave & it’s a very old building so really can’t complain
It is a beautiful building in a central location with very inviting and comfortable public areas and bedrooms.
The pillows are a bit hard!
We have stayed at The Feathers on several occasions over the years and eaten there often, usually well.. The hotel is historic so bedrooms are quirky - part of the attraction. Free parking at the hotel, when available, is a bonus. The location is very central in this lovely market town.
On this occasion our dinner was disappointing, very poor compared to previous experiences. I hope this is a temporary 'blip' and the bistro returns to its earlier standard. The historic building lacks a lift so rooms on the 2nd floor involve a testing climb for older or less athletic people.
Well situated, free parking and meals were good.
Small room, small bed, not sufficient Fire Exit signage (bothers me)
Interesting decor. Pleasant atmosphere. Good location.
Choice of evening meals not very inspiring.
The breakfasts were really good and we had a very nice evening meal on our first night. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant too
Our room was very warm and the window only opened a couple of inches which made it hard to let some cooler air in. This made sleeping a little uncomfortable.
Location was good in the middle of town. Nice bar and restaurant and bathroom was well appointed.
On arrival receptionist was on the phone and did not acknowledge us for many minutes. Room was small and a bit cramped at the top of the building with no elevator.
Comfortable room. Good location and friendly staff
Nothing
Very friendly and welcoming and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was superb with fabulous quality ingredients as was the evening meal. Friendly staff throughout the hotel which was very dog-friendly. Beautiful building and comfortable room.
General high quality hotel. Staff first class. Individually couldn't be more helpful.
Breakfast was absolutely first class. Evening meal not so good with severely undercooked vegetables.
Excellent service and facilities with room cleanliness outstanding
On site car parking is a nightmare due to extremely difficult access. Access from the front of the Hotel was apparently discontinued last year but it would have been much easier!
Town centre location
Car park was difficult to find and access, It was annoying that directions and instructions/map were not available in advance .
A beautiful, historic hotel in a very interesting town. The location was right in the town centre, enabling us to explore the town with all its history and information. The staff were helpful and friendly, the food was good and the room was lovely. There are some parking spaces at the hotel, accessed by a very tight entrance, presumably used by coaches in former days. There is a public car park behind the hotel which has charging points for electric cars.
The carpark entrance is a challenge but driving slowly and carefully you can overcome it's narrowness. Reception staff were very helpful and courteous. Our second floor room was very well equipped, roomy and spotlessly clean and it's sloping floors enhanced the age of the property. The property oozed character and was in keeping with the local environment. Staff were attentive, courteous and very helpful. The bar and restaurant were delightful and both the drinks and food menu's substantial. Our meals were well presented, substantial and of the highest quality. This is a place to return time and time again.
Very welcoming and helpful. Little touches in the bedroom such as the radio which was on when we arrived. Excellent food
There was nothing we didn't like
Old stylecharacter
Noisy extractor on the roof during the day, but turned off during the night
Room and food excellent
No lift
The checking in and the restaurant were very good. The staff were helpfull. The hotel was centrally situated. Full of old world charm.
Poor access to limited car park.
In town centre
the soft furnishings and the toiletries. It was also good to be able to get Netflix on the room tv
I was a lone, middle-aged female traveller - and that's exactly how I felt I was treated. Rather invisible and pretty unimportant. For instance, the hotel receptionist seemed utterly disinterested (e.g. when I had a problem with my suitcase, needed to know about parking, enquired about local sights, asked questions about the hotel itself, etc). Ditto the waitress when I complained about the meal I was served in the restaurant ( burnt pie - which I mostly ate because I was starving. I didn't want my money back but a recognition somehow, somewhere, from someone that the food wasn't up to scratch would have been nice). Not a very friendly place.
O pequeno almoço era extraordinário
O quarto era virado para as traseiras
Location
Uneven ,floors
The Feathers isn’t normally the type of hotel I would use, olde worldly is not for me normally, our room was spacious, comfortable and had excellent facilities, however it is a bit of an obstacle course to get to your room, part of the place’s appeal to some is the uneven floors. We only had one snack in the hotel, we thought the bar prices were reasonable, the coffee shop was excellent, the lounge at the front of the building was very nice. I enjoyed the challenges of the car park, not for the faint heated but a very useful facility - don’t bring a hummer! The best part of the hotel were the staff, they were very friendly and helpful
The fact that we were unable to get food at the hotel at 8.20pm as we were told that the food was finished
A most charming historical building with lots of characters. Plenty of space, lounges, bars, coffee room. Our room was beautiful, a delux room worth paying the extra. Huge double bed well equipped bathroom. We had two large Tv one to watch from the sitting room and one at the end of the bed. Staff were great. Car parking
The hotels car park has a very narrow entrance, however there is a public car park at the back.
Excellent breakfast choices and even better lunches.
Parking is difficult, especially the entrance to The Feathers.
All the staff were both, friendly and professional.
The food. Everything we had was freshly prepared and cooked. Also a lot of the food was locally sourced.
Everything! Location, kerb appeal rooms and staff.
Very narrow entrance to car park.
Exceeded expectations in all respects. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, food very good, both dinner and breakfast.
Car park very tight especially to enter/exit but nothing could be done about that because it was constructed to suit coaches not modern traffic!
Popped into the Feathers for some lunch , our choice on the menu was their beef burger. Absolutely fantastic , tasty and well cooked , not only was the food excellent but the waiting staff were first class, friendly, attentive , couldn’t have asked for more
Good breakfast, historical place, confortable room
Not easy to find light switches!
Very central and charmingly historic. Interesting and comfortable decor. Nice staff. Good food and welcoming public spaces.
Bedroom was very attractive with good facilities but hot and airless (in late April) so slept badly. Couldn’t open window - ancient sash onto street. Duvet was too high a tog (10.5 - I saw that because I took it out of the cover and just slept with the cover).
The staff were great from the start. The room was lovely, with a superb en-suite. Food is excellent and good value for money. The location is excellent, really good for sightseeing in the local area.
The maintenance needs to be tightened up. I had an ironing board that kept collapsing, due to a bent catch, and the hook on the inside of the bathroom door came off when I hung an after-shower towel on it, as the screws were not held in by rawl-plugs.
Location
Staircase up to bedroom area. Looks tired

Had an afternoon tea there. Vegan scone was hard, break in to pieces and inedible. Probably not fresh. Some of the Staff also need to be more attentive to their customers, considering a 10% tip is added to the final bill.
The room bathroom and loo was a bit tight ! Felt really well looked after; the staff are clearly enjoying working at The Feathers, it shows; super food and good wine choices for dinner. Slept like a baby
Location, very clean friendly staff
No lift
Lovely room, very clean with a big bathroom. The room was overlooking the street so it was a little noisy at times but the secondary glazing helped to stop some of it. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice. we ate in the restaurant on our second night and the food was excellent. Lots of other places to eat and drink round about if you don't want to eat in the hotel every night, there are some lovely old pubs just a few minutes walk away.
The bed was a bit hard for our liking but that's just personal choice. The car park is quite small and you have to drive through an old archway which is very narrow so beware if you have a big car, my husband scraped his car! Not complaining about the hotel though as obviously it is a very old property. There is a public car park around the back of the property which you have to pay for but is quite handy.
Friendly helpful staff, lovely comfortable room, great food.
Nothing
Breakfast cooked to order with a wide choice.
Poor to non-existent wifi in the upstairs rooms
What an unexpected treasure, it appeared lovely, but from the inside it was a real English inn, a graceful well appointed gem of a hotel. The bedroom was a loving superbly clean and well presented feature, a gorgeous large well furnished room, suitable for passing royalty. Nice friendly staff, even a car park, but don't bring a large AWD as getting in , is a tight breath in, squeeze ! Verdict. these hoteliers know what they are doing, would visist again
Staff were excellent
No lift we found the stairs very difficult
Amazing service and food. Made to feel welcome and will return! Cooked breakfast and coffee was a highlight!
Fantastic Christmas here. Staff were fantastic and our dog was made very welcome
Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Very nice evening meal. Service was very good, and all the staff are very pleasant and helpful.
I was in a front room on the hottest day we’ve had so far this year. It was a standard double and, for me, I found it very warm and difficult to sleep. If I’d gone for a larger room it may have been a more comfortable temperature.
Loved the vegan options , really good . Friendly staff , comfy room .
Finding car park . Online info gave us the wrong postcode and it was only by chance we eventually found the right one . More info on car park needed on booking. Com
What a lovely hotel and perfect for our university get together when everyone was coming from different parts of the country. We had dinner on one of the nights which was really nice. Really friendly staff. You did get the impression they were understaffed as it was busy alot of the time we were there tables in the bar and lobby not being cleared. They did tend to run out of a lot of the wine on the menu too so good idea to stock properly. Would also be an idea to send out a map of how to reach the car park as its not obvious so when they send out the email to check in before arrival thats probably a good time to send it out. A beautifully decorated hotel though with a really nice feel to it.
