Check out time is 10:30AM, and they started to drive me out my room at 10:35AM. I understand they need to clean the rooms, but couldn’t they start from other rooms? Is it really the case that they have to clean my room immediately after the check out time? I admit that I should have checked out before 10:30, but I was exhausted and sick, so I was hoping they could show a little bit of understanding. The cleaning staff were nice and friendly, but their manager was terrible—despite me still packing my luggage and the cleaning staff’s sympathy towards me and their unwillingness to enter my room, she forced her entire cleaning team into my room. I have never been treated like this anywhere before.

Great place to rest travelling on a budget

Room didn’t smell fresh / clean. Went out and bought a room spray but even that didn't mask it. I was very glad I was only in the room for one night. Have stayed before and not had this issue. Breakfast, staff everything else brilliant as always.

This was one of the lowest price places I found while searching. I read the reviews and thought I would give it a go. My room was a single bed with a desk, a closet and sink for washing. It was very clean. The room was provided with soap, shampoo and a nice towel. The shower/ toilets were directly across the hall from my room. There was no TV, no phone, no microwave or kettle. But I didn’t miss them at all. Being in central London made up for all of that. Having great WiFi helped a lot. The breakfast was incredible and very tasty. I would definitely stay again just to be in central London and save a few quid.

Excellent value for money with a substantial breakfast included in the price. It was perfect for my needs for a one night stay between trains. I had a fabulous view from my room too. Shared bathroom is okay and mixed. Handy to have the kitchen to make a hot drink or meal. The area around has plenty of bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Buses are also close.

Good price, great, full breakfast buffet, clean and nice ambience.

Room was clean and plenty of storage space & sockets. For the price it was not a hardship to walk down the corridor to use the toilet & shower. My only gripe was the mattress, I could feel the springs so not the comfiest of night's sleeps. Breakfast buffet was amazing there's so much choice. Staff were lovely. Location is great, right by Saddlers Wells, near to Angel tube stop & plenty of places to eat nearby. Felt very safe walking around at night too.

Great for solo traveling on a budget!

My ratings are based on my expectations (its not a 5 star property, but its not trying to be!) Was perfect for what i need and a good price and good breakfast! Everyone friendly and very easy.

No frills accommodation, very comfortable bed, quiet neighbourhood allowed sleeping with window open.

The rooms are basic, beds are not the most comfortable, but for the price in central London it’s amazing. The breakfast is top quality with so many options and all of the catering staff are lovely and helpful. You can easily walk into soho in 30 mins from here, or there’s a bus stop right outside. Nearest tube station is only 5 mins walk away.

A warm welcome from the staff but the room was musty/smelly with dirty carpets and very thin curtains that let light enter from the courtyard. If you're really on a budget then try it but for £30-40 more you can find a hotel with en-suite and proper housekeeping.

This is my second stay. Sadly, a lot of the guests this time seemed to have no respect for any other guests, especially, when coming and going late at night. I wouldn't stay again because of this. The staff, however, are amazing. They went above and beyond. The breakfast is good with something to suit everyone's taste. The location is fantastic. It's within walking distance to numerous attractions and right on the doorstep are some fab bars, restaurants and independent shops.

Hot breakfast is included. I was impressed by the huge selection of food to choose from. Room is very small for 2 adults. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Towels, shampoo, soap included. I would stay here again. The disadvantage is no air conditioning, just a fan. The room can get pretty warm.

Breakfast in the dorm cafeteria was a good.

Good solo accommodation option, very close to buses that go directly into inner London or a short work to various tube stations. Rooms are basic but functional and not bad size-wise compared with many budget hotel options. The included cooked/fresh/continental breakfast buffet is excellent and staff were helpful with queries and response to maintenance issues.

For the price you get what you pay for. The rooms were warm and stuffy which meant having the window open. Decent breakfast.

The overall stay was excellent. Breakfast was amazing. The only small criticism is the shower had no exhaust fan and the walls were all damp. I stayed in room482

Rooms are a bit dated, make sure to bring flip-flops for shower, and bring your own drinking water. Breakfast was great with a traditional English breakfast and buffet. Easy access to bus lines, 15 minute walk to Farringdon station. Bit of a walk to convenience stores, so plan ahead.

As long as you remember you are in Student Accommodation you’ll be fine. Staff on reception were helpful. Room was clean, bed was a bit uncomfortable. Most rooms have shared facilities with bathrooms at the end of the hall. Again though, these were clean. Biggest moan would be the noise from the street that went on all night. Not much that the staff can do about that, bring earplugs. Perfectly fine for a short London stay on a budget.

To stay in the centre of London for so little was fantastic. Great place,clean with lovely friendly staff.

I was a bit dubious about a hotel with breakfast in London for £61....but our Stay at LSE was excellent. The rooms are basic but very clean, no TV or coffee making facilities in your room...but you have access to a kitchen and a recreation room. All staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was first rate with lots of cold/hot selections and plenty of it. I will happily recommend and will return. Thank you

Clean room but the bed made a lot of noises from the spring under the mattress, part of the frame. There's a wood board above the spring and it's dislocated so making the mattress tilted one side higher and also when I moved around on the mattress the spring made loud noise. There are 2 showers rooms, one without hot water, lucky the other has. Toilets are clean, breakfast is good plenty of choices. Coffee is nice. Location is very good. You can store luggages before or after check in. There's one woman who served the breakfast looks angry., others are helpful. Bus 38 from London Victoria just right outside the accommodation.

I arrived very late at night and informed them in advance of my arrival time. I was let in and checked in very quickly as they were expecting me. Check in was quick and stress-free. The room was very spacious and comfortable for the price. Breakfast was included and a good variety was available. I cannot have dairy and all allergens at the hot food section were clearly labeled. The canteen lady at breakfast was very helpful and friendly. Shared kitchen and bathroom facilities were just a few doors down which was very convenient.

I was locked out of my room before check out time when I was using the toilet as their clock runs 5 minutes faster. Be aware that the key deactivates at 10:25am sharp. My watch and phone are the same as train stations and airports so not entirely sure why their time is 5 minutes ahead. When I was trying to sort this out at reception, the clock behind the reception desk was showing 10:32am and my watch was showing 10:27am. I live locally so time difference was definitely not the issue. I stayed on the 9th floor and the ceiling of the shower stall furthest away from the door was mouldy. There were other clean shower stalls available so I was able to avoid it but hope this gets sorted out soon.

I mean it’s a dorm, but as long as you’re comfortable with toilets/showers down the hall it’s fine.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. They assisted with giving directions for walking and bus connections. Breakfast was excellent. Showers on 6th floor need plumbing adjustment as hot and cool water was not consistent. Shower area needed better place to put your personal items like footwear and toiletries. Overall excellent.

Elndesayuno muy completo y bueno. Y la ubicacion de mi habitación muy buena. La zona muy bien cerca Exmouth con muchos bares y restaurantes.

Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Das Personal in der Kantine und am Empfang war überaus freundlich und die Lage war sehr zentral.

Das Zimmer war für zwei Betten etwas klein und man musste sehr häufig über das Bett klettern. Die Matratzen waren etwas hart und die Kissen zu flach. An sich war es sehr sauber, nur die anderen Gäste haben dafür gesorgt, dass die gemeinschaftlichen Sanitäranlagen schnell verdreckt waren.

Slechte bedden ( oude matras en wiebelend bed). Oud sanitair. We hadden een kleine studenten kamer waar een tweede opklapbed was bijgezet.

The accommodation was adequate for what was required. Notice could be provided if bed and bathroom linen were to be provided, they were, thankfully! Clean place, and although was sharing the barthroom with 12 other rooms, I only saw one other person in there at one time.

Good: Breakfast buffet; beds ok; clean; 24-hour reception; friendly cat in the lounge/dining area. Bad: Cramped room; doors bang shut very loudly in the hall at all hours; in-room sink water not drinkable (come on, London); common showers poorly designed such that you can't avoid getting a blast of cold or scalding water when you turn it on, and then it oscillates between hot and cold on its own; kitchen poorly equipped with a microwave and stovetop but few cooking utensils; very spartan prison ambiance; poor value for money.

Great deal in London. Room designed for one twin bed and two made someone have to climb over the other bed to access sink and door. Bathrooms were clean. Kitchen was clean. Resident kitty cat was very sweet. Perfect for a solo traveler but we made it work!

Having to walk a way to toilets and showers. Nowhere to put clothes etc when taking shower. A little noisy at night.

Like every other reviewer, I loved the friendliness of the staff and the great breakfast. This is a student dorm and for a stay in London it's close to perfect. Showers and toilets are shared, but the facilities were all clean, everything worked, and never fully occupied - you could always get things done. The WiFi was fast and great for working also with Teams calls. Every now and then you'll need to reconnect to the network, but that just took seconds. The room was big enough, the location may seem a bit remote, but you have everything you need in the area and it's a nice 30 min walk to Soho. If you don't want to walk, busses stop right in front of the building.

Great value for money for an overnight stay in town

How informal it is and yet well organised, the location, the wide variety of fellow guests, the friendly atmosphere from staff, the breakfast, shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. The value for money is hard to beat!

Very noisy until late at night. The floodlights outside were so bright that the room was mostly like dim light was on the whole time. The reception staff were not very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for 2 nights. It was clean and had everything we required. Beds were comfortable, room was warm, there were lifts to everywhere we needed, we both have mobility issues we managed fine here. would really recommend the breakfast very good and wide selection, the bus stops are practically outside and easy to get where we needed to be. Ok no tv but we survived we had wi-fi We ordered delivery for basic food as we had nothing when we arrived no issues with this and arrived quickly Next day nice coffee shop 2 minutes away with a local Co-op next door

Everything was great! Location is amazing with some nice breakfast and dinner options and easy access by foot or bus to all the major stops. Only things is the two bed rooms are pretty tight for two guys haha.
