Vigan Plaza Hotel

Central location.

Needs upgrades. Tv and internet were out of service for our entire stay. (There was a typhoon.) No elevator- challenging for some people to access the second floor, especially with luggage. Hot shower was hit or miss. Very small, claustrophobia-inducing breakfast room (esp. when full of with large groups and many small children).

I booked this hotel because they have good reviews here in Tripadvisor. I also did a bit more research by checking for reviews in YouTube, but I found no significamt vlogs about this hotel. Our room was located at the ground floor. We were surprised to find out that there was no fridge, and no coffee cups and electric kettle (which are hotel basics) inside the room. We wondered why the bathroom was dimly-lighted, only to find out that the light behind the vanity mirror was not working. I called the attention of the hotel staff to report it and he said: "sira na po talaga ang ilaw nyan"... its really disappointing that they are aware of it and seems like they have no plans to have it fixed. The AC was also at the lowest temp setting but the room was just slightly cold. We were too tired from our llocos tours during the day and was expecting a comfortable sleep at night, but we just have to sleep without the blankets as we will definitely sweat if we use them. Breakfast: thank God we didn't pay for an expensive room at this hotel, because the plated breakfast (weekday) and the buffet breakfast (weekend) is just good enough to have something in your tummy. We were not expecting a grand selection since we paid for the cheaper room, but imagine paying for their suite rooms and have a breakfast buffet of low quality corned beef, hard-boiled egg, overcooked mixed vegetables, etc. The only good thing about this hotel is that majority of their staff are very polite and friendly. Also, the location is perfect for tourists as this is centrally located and very convenient if you wish to tour around by walking. l hope that your manager will ensure that every room will have cold ACs, working lights especially in the bathroom, fridge and electric kettle with cups and saucers, and better breakfast quality. We dont expect bacon or croissants, hopefully just better version of what you typically serve. I really wanted to give two stars for this review, but I will give an additional star for the polite and friendly staff.

The hotel is within walking distance of Calle Crisologo and most restaurants and shops. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, especially after a very tiring day, They provide free breakfast and the staff are kind. The only problem I had was with their WiFi, it was only available in the lobby and did not reach the rooms.

The picture of the hotel we thought we had booked was nor this hotel. The pictures didn't match and there was no pool. While we stayed here because it would have been too much trouble to change everything, this was not the hotel we wanted. It was a very noisy neighborhood. The room however was nice and cozy. Staff was nice.

This was our first time to visit Vigan and I relied on others’ reviews and gut feeling as I would normally with every booking I do. I contacted the hotel when I have shortlisted some accommodations and Vigan Plaza Hotel was clear and put forward what packages/ promo they have on offer during time of enquiry. The communication from their staff was topnotch. Quick to reply and addresses with clarity every enquiry I had. Travelling with elderlies they were clear that there are no lifts due to the age of the property. The property is very well maintained and the location is amazing, right at the centre of Crisologo. Can’t get better that lm that. A few steps to the Cathedral and the main plaza where people gather which we soaked in well for that local culture. The staffs were attentive & friendly. The room is well equipped and very clean. The bed was amazingly comfortable. You can tell that they invested on a good mattress and was one of their priority to keep clients happy. The room had a welcome fruit platter, snacks , coffee/ tea . Well supplied. Toiletries were provided too. Breakfast was included in the price. Although sufficient enough and have decent choices, could do with larger serving. Overall, happy with our stay. And they even validated my parents senior card local ID. So we got a bit of a discount.

We loved our room!!! It was clean and cozy. Everyone was also super nice and accommodating to all our requests. The food at Cafe Bigaa also did not disappoint, good food and coffee!! Will definitely book here again when we go back in Vigan!! :)

The hotel needs to improve access to the internet (wi-fi). We had better access/ signal in Pagupud, Ilocos Norte. It's not enough for the front desk staff to basically say "oh well" no internet!

Accessible. Walking distance from the dancing fountain. Had a great stay with my family and the complimentary breakfast is good! Staffs are friendly and accommodating. They even allowed our foods to be placed in their freezer. Thank you vigan plaza hotel!

it was a really great stay, also so convenient since it's located at the center, so just a li'l walk from there to there. Everything was nice! Had an amazing stay at this hotel! The staff was friendly, rooms were clean and comfy, and the overall atmosphere was fantastic. Highly recommend for a pleasant and enjoyable experience.

The staff at Vigan Hotel Plaza were very attentive to our needs. Room was very clean and breakfast provided was delicious. The hotel is right next Plaza Burgos and Plaza Salcedo which are perfect hangout areas and great to watch the Dancing Lights, a main attraction of the town. It’s also very close to many restaurants, with a Seven Eleven close by and Calle Crisologo just down the road so it’s a highly convenient location.

Our stay was awesome though you can hear sime noise outside but thats fine. The hotel was clean and you can feel the old time vibe. The staff are accommodating and very kind. We will surely cone back next time.

It’s a very good experience; I would recommend it to someone I know if they are looking for a hotel in Vigan City. The room (superior twin) we have stayed in is spacious enough to fit in 3 additional beds. Even if there were additional beds it’s still spacious enough for us to move around.

Overall rate for Vigan Plaza Hotel is very good, with courteous staff and clean room. The location is perfect for tourists since it is just adjacent to nearby tourists spots and the business district. Food is good and their brewed coffee is great with free refills. Worth the price paid for an overnight stay. 😊

Doors do not have double lock. Air conditioning is leaking water. These are the only complaints I have. Overall a nice hotel, good location. Food is great. Members of the Staff are Friendly. Will definitely go back to this hotel.

Great rooms and friendly staff. The rooms are big with amenities that can cater your needs. Hopefully they could offer buffet breakfast regardless of number of guests though. Despite that, this is worth going back to in vigan.

Very nice hotel. Really gives a homey vibe and the customer service was excellent. I am visiting from the states and the hospitality is very top notch. Best vacation I’ve had in a while. If you’re ever looking to stay at a hotel in Vigan I highly recommend the Vigan Plaza Hotel.

Very accommodating staff. Lobby needs to improve on the smell maybe put some freshener. Overall enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The location is great its situated at Calle Crisologo where you can find everything and just walk around.

Lovely stay!!! The hotel is centrally located and easy to get to. The room was comfortable and the service was excellent. Breakfast was a bit basic, but satisfactory. The town itself is pretty but in need of a facelift.

It wasn’t bad at all. Checking in was a bit unpleasant. They weren’t able to locate my reservation until I showed them my expedia booking.Room was okay with regards to cleanliness, though the bed creates noise with each move.

Good location, nice old building. Very noisy and very limited breakfast. Airport shuttle service promised on the site but in practice not available, better arrange transport in Laoag (when arriving by plane), either partas regiional bus (to busstation with tricycle) or private van.

The hotel maintained the beauty of Vigan. The ambiance of the place will definitely make you relax. I have no bad comment of the place. This is the only place my family and I had a good rest.

Restored and modernized. Spacious room. Great bathroom. Good TV. Comfortable bed. In the middle of the historic district and walkable to all of the historic sites. Calesas are plentiful should you want to go further. The restaurant serves a nice Filipino food at all three meals. WiFi in the room was weak though great in the lobbys and restaurant.

Parking was about 1/2 mile away. Rooms small, no chair, poor internet, hot water intermittent. Bathroom was 3'X4' No hooks or shelves. Staff great. Location in old City was nice. A/C was fine.

Property was authentically fitting for the historic theme of Vigan. Also, it was very central to a lot of activities. You can easily walk to the Heritage village and surrounding restaurants as well as the Burgos and Salcedo Plazas. The Burgos and National Miuseims were just walking distance from the property.

Have stayed here before and it’s good to see that the standards have held up. The only comment is that in the bathroom there should be hooks to hang towels.

Great location with immediate access to tricycles and kalesa’s, local foods and national and international chains. Breakfast tickets provided daily and respected privacy. Breakfast by menu, portion size perfect and filling. A pleasant stay even if the hotel is old/historic (i.e. squeaky floors) the room was a good size compared to other hotels in the area.
