Walking distance to Calle Crisologo
Unwelcoming front desk and lots of upkeep in their rooms. Shower doesnt't get hot. Breakfast buffet repeated over and over everyday. Not much of parking lot.Funny smells of my room.
The Location is perfect. The hotel staff were welcoming, accommodating and efficient. The rooms are clean and relaxing. The coffee and tea available at the cantina and the drinking water dispensers at each corridor was thoughtful. The small touches like access to free use of board games and being able to use the bike made us feel truly welcome.
Not enough rugs in the bathroom
Location and staff
Bed is not comfy
All staff were very accomodating. Walking distnace from Calle Crisologo and other ammenities (e.g. restaurant, convenient store, banks, church, etc). Actually these was our 2nd stay here at the hotel. Kudos to Ms. Serena (Receptionist) and Ms. Paige who always assist us in food. Overall it always exceed our expectation for reasonable price of stay and relaxing stay. Will surely book again ☺️
Excellent location! Next to Calle Crisologo. Across a grocery store. Walking distance to the plaza. Excellent staff. Wonderful breakfast. 2nd time staying here and would stay here again!
Conveniently located in the middle of the tourist area.
Food at the restaurant. Very few options. Some of the dishes are not good.
Good location
Parking space
Need more parking space & add gluten free options (my daughter has Celiac & Type 1 Diabetes) plus Stevia or sweetener for coffee. Love the Pinoy breakfast & welcome drink plus the water refill stations. Nice location & near access for restaurants & tourist spots
love the place, everyone is very helpful... I would love to come back and stay here again

Decent and affordable accomodation; welcoming and helpful staff; masarap na breakfast at iba pa; coffee tastes great.
The staff are very accommodating and friendly smile with greetings. Location is accessible especially for young kids to explore any time for dining, souvenirs and the night activities at the plazas.
We enjoyed our 4 days and 3 night stayed. It’s is very close to the places that we love to see. The problem that we notice is the old style key that most of the time we have a hard time to open it. The bath room floor is flooded after you take a shower is not safe if you’re not put the towel on the floor to cover the over flowing water from the shower. It’s kind of slippery. We love the breakfast that they served and the very friendly staff. Mrs Spring

Liked the ambiance of the property
Stronger wifi
The property provided excellent service and is very accessible to areas that we wanted to visit as well as to the bus station. It was also very easy to locate.
Staff were very accommodating and the location is perfect.
While a kettle and cups provided there was no tea or coffee which is standard in most hotels . Our room did not have any windows and that felt a bit odd. The breakfast did not accommodate westerners . A slow cooking device to toast bread rather than a toaster, no knives, and only one almost empty container of jam. I mention these things as they are easy to improve upon.

Convenient and friendly staff
Room was quite small. Parking needs to be more organized
The property is in the colonial part of the city. The property is old and tired and needs work. The staff tries its best to clean but it requires more than cleaning to make anything feel fresh. The structure of the building is based on an old model wherein there's a central space carved out of the center of each floor in the four stories. This means that noise travels up and down through this vertical corridor, and some people simply don't care how loud they are. You will care, because it's noisy. AC works, TV not so much, the one evening I tried to take a shower I could get no hot water. This is just how it is, I've stayed in about 12 hotels over the last 23 days and four star has a different meaning here. Wi-Fi is so so.
Room seemed to be falling apart, not worth the price.
The property was close to dining and site seeing options. Staff were great
I didn't like the service. Before we left early in the morning I requested the front desk to have our room cleaned because it got messy when everybody took a shower around 7 am.When we returned so tired and feel so sticky because of the heat around 3 pm, the room was still a mess with wet towels I placed on the floor and the room was not cleaned yet.I asked the staff in the front desk, she said we have to wait because the cleaners will clean the vacant rooms first, the ones with occupants even though we requested was last priority.I got mad because I feel so sleepy already and the room was a mess because I had three teenagers with long hairs and their towel were so wet so it made the room smell. That's the only time they clean so we have to endure the smell of the chemicals they used.Their service needs improvement and they should take care of the people staying there. From 7 am to 3 pm is quiet enough time for them to clean the room especially when we really requested it to be clean.I can still remember this very well because it was an important visit I made to that place.
Good location.
No soap in bathroom; make up.room should be mandatory every day unless guest puts up the DND sign. Suggestion: Can put soap dish in bathroom, or another platform near mirror to palcr toiletries.
Their policy of no refund for cancellation made me worry as my trip to Vigan was cancelled. However, when I sent them a message, they generously allowed a rebooking instead within a period of 6 months. Thank you to the management.
This property has excellent, friendly staff. It is right in the heart of historic Vigan City, close to the vibrant town plaza, yet it is tucked in a less crowded location. It has limited parking and is ideal for tourists and guests visiting Vigan on tour buses and commercial transportation. Its restaurant serves popular Filipino dishes with creative localized names and flavors- at reasonable prices.
Excellent service
It is only a few meters from Crisologo St. The staff are very helpful especially Seb and the rest of the front desk people. The airconditioning is excellent. Over all, a good place to stay in Vigan.
Only very limited secured parking space (4). Somebody forcefully unfolded my electronically controlled side mirror when I parked it on my 2nd night of stay on the unsecured side of the hotel. The breakfast can be improved. Sunny side up eggs should be offered instead of just scrambled eggs.
Location
No hangers on wardrobe, no hand towel, safety box was so tiny and not securely mounted inside of cupboard.
Room- better than in photos Location
Breakfast - no choices for a vegeterian
Rooms need to be upgraded
Bed was hard
The property was well-lit, and the triple room featured a larger-than-average fridge, which was a welcome convenience. I appreciated the water dispenser that allowed guests to refill their bottles. However, I found it unusual that the room had a kettle and cups but no coffee provided. While I could have requested coffee from the staff, this wasn’t a major issue since the breakfast buffet served excellent coffee. The bathroom was exceptionally clean, and although the breakfast selection was modest, the quality of the food was commendable—particularly the daing na bangus. It would have been a nice touch to include Vigan longganisa on the menu, given the location. What truly set this hotel apart was the outstanding service. I’ve stayed at five-star hotels, but the level of training and attention to detail exhibited by the staff here was remarkable. They remembered my name and room number, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were consistently polite, well-mannered, and attentive. Special thanks to Spens, Scott, and Sean for making my stay memorable. When Sean noticed I had a lot of luggage, he kindly arranged for Scott to assist me and even provided a complimentary ride to the Partas bus terminal. Overall, I had an excellent experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vigan!
During my stay, I experienced symptoms of allergic rhinitis, and despite the room being very clean, I couldn’t initially identify the trigger. Before checking out, I moved the curtains and noticed they were dusty. While this likely wouldn’t be an issue for most guests, it can be problematic for individuals with dust-triggered allergies like mine. To be fair, had I realized this earlier and informed the staff, I am confident they would have promptly addressed the matter by replacing or cleaning the curtains. The overall cleanliness of the room and the responsiveness of the staff were otherwise excellent.
Hotel in great location, perfect for touring Vigan. Fun artsy decor and nice staff.
Parking is a challenge and wifi not reliable. Breakfast should include some fruits and tea or hot chocolate besides coffee.
Good stay. Location was excellent and near Calle Crisologo. Good breakfast. Unli Tea and coffee till 10pm for hotel guest. Charming lobby. Would recommend.
The hotel's location is especially favorable, as it is within walking distance of various souvenir shops, restaurants, and prominent landmarks such as Calle Crisologo, Salcedo Plaza, and Burgos Plaza. The staff exhibited commendable customer service, and the provided room was satisfactory. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Vigan.
The breakfast provided was satisfactory, however, I would suggest adding a variety of fruits to enhance the nutritional value and appeal of the morning meal. Additionally, there was a minor issue with the entrance door to our room, but it was promptly resolved within a few minutes. A room change was necessary on the final night of our stay due to a malfunctioning front door
Staff is really friendly and accomodating.
This is very near to most locations we visited around Vigan City. The place is clean. Right for the price with hearty breakfast.
Awesome place.few steps from Calle Crisologo. breakfast buffet was the best. The staff was superb, the Pinoy hospitality is commendable.Parkingbis kot a problem, because they have an offsite gated parking .
Friendly staff, free breakfast and closer to restaurant and souvenirs shop

In the center of Vigan! Great location and extremely friendly staff! The Cantina beside also makes everything so easy! The free brewed coffee and iced tea all day is a plus!
Nothing.
Such a nice and clean property. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. I will recommend the property to others and I will stay there again.
I am from Toronto Canada, upon checked in the room itself is in good condition the only thing I don’t like is the bathroom especially the present of mold/dirty around the shower wall/floor, the second room the bathroom had a strong smells pet urine and moldy/dirty shower stall also, before we get satisfied they move us 3 times…Overall after those moving we were satisfied. Staff were very helpful and accommodating.
parking, buffet breakfast, responsive staff
The beds might have bed bugs..
The front desk staff was kind enough to upgrade us to a room with balcony, the place is clean and peaceful, just as how we want it.
The water in the bathroom is kinda leaking but it didn't bother us nor affected the comfort of our stay so it is bearable.
They’re pet friendly and very accomodating
it was great and very convenient, great selections and staffs are very friend and accomodating.
location is perfect, staffs are great and provided a secured parking space. very accomodating
Love the location as it is really close to the historic Calle Crisologo, even though it's close to the infamous street the hotel was still peaceful and quiet. Loved the free flowing coffee and iced tea. The breakfast buffet was alright.
The wooden carpeted flooring in our room was a bit squeaky but tolerable.
Services and staff are superb

Breakfast was excellent and location is near everything 🥰🥰
Location
Not too clean
Very helpful staff. Easy being a tourist in Vigan. Free water, coffee and tea is nice. Location is perfect.
Breakfast is so, so. I didnt like having 7 staff looking at me eating breakfast alone in the restaurant.
Location was within Calle crisologo.
It has the smell of an old building.
The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff helped us carry our things to our room. They were incredibly friendly and truly added to the positive atmosphere. The staff's local knowledge was invaluable! They not only recommended where to find the best Empanadas in Vigan, but also suggested renting a kalesa for a charming city tour. It was clear they wanted to ensure we had a fantastic experience in Vigan. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with all the necessary toiletries provided. This combination of friendly service, clean accommodations, and insider tips made our stay truly memorable. Plus, the location couldn't be beat! Just a short walk from the lively plaza and a block away from Calle Crisologo, the heart of Vigan's historic district. We could easily explore the sights on foot and soak up the unique atmosphere of the town. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vigan!
Breakfast is good ,location is good
Every thing is good except one thing . I suggest you had better not to use the glass things.I broken a glass pitcher when I tried to use the kettle which is hard to use and the staff cleaned it very quickly,it’s very good service. But at that time one staff told me I should pay 150peso for it ,I think that is the reasonable price. However when I checked out they charged me 250peso.I think it’s a little bit higher. If I have known that I would buy a new one.
The breakfast was ok. The location was perfect.
We had dinner there but the bagnet was so hard and the longganisa wasn’t tasty at all
Staff are very helpful, from receptionist staff who made a makeshift envelope to the bellboy and restaurant staff. Will stay there again and will recommend to my famiky and friends.
It's very near to tourist attractions, souvenir shops and restaurants. can walk around all day and still have lots to discover, also near to the museum for some historical attractions
none so far, it's worth the price
NO DOUBT THAT THE LOCATION WAS PERFECT. BREAKFAST WAS GOOD.
NO TELEPHONE. ROOM CARPET WAS TOO DIRTY. ROOM WALLS UNDER THE TABLE WAS NOT GOOD CONDITION, FOR ME. BATH ROOM WAS DIRTY IF THEY CAN CHECK THE THINGS UNDERNEATH THE DOOR.
Staff are very nice. Location is perfect.
Hotel is very close to the tourist spots. It is clean and staff are very accommodating.
Nothing
The breakfast was great for filipinos. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is minutes away from Calle Crisologo. The staffs at the hotel reception were a great help for our questions.
The room is not sound proof. My sister and I can hear it when people talks on the Hallways. The sink in the toilet is very small. There we so little options for a european breakfast, but very good for the filipinos. The Staff at the breakfast hall were not that helpful.
We really like the buffet breakfast, there are many food choices and unlimited coffee and iced tea. Likewise, it is great to have a canteen (Cantina Mercante) in the hotel for it provides convenience and options for the guests to look for any available lunch or dinner after a tour of the city.
Over-all, the hotel facilities are okay. Just need to add a drainage outlet at the toilet to avoid floor flooding everytime the guest uses the toilet and the shower.
Near to Calle crisologo
Breakfast some of the food served were salty.
Nice hotel in center of town. Easy to walk to everything. Plenty of restaurants and shops. Good for a few days. Very nice staff.
Nothing.
We stayed at Hotel Mercante on Christmas Eve and booked two rooms for our stay, as we were traveling with our parents and kids. We were able to secure the rooms at a promotional rate which included breakfast. The staff at Hotel Mercante in Vigan were incredibly accommodating, from the porter to the reception staff, the restaurant personnel, and the housekeeping team – all of them were very welcoming! As a hotelier myself, I have never experienced such a high level of hospitality in a hotel before. It may have been the Christmas spirit, but my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. In terms of the technical aspects of our stay, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast offered was satisfactory, and I particularly appreciated the complimentary coffee available in the lobby for guests. I highly recommend Hotel Mercante for a pleasant and welcoming stay.
