Lakeside Apartment Waimahana 1

Apartment, has great potential, location super but then it goes badly wrong as far as value for money.

Interior tired furniture tatty and not overly comfortable. Good TV. First off, you're asked to remove shoes, but carpet has food stains everywhere and carpet needs stretching. Mat inside front door didn't inspire a feeling of wow this is going to be great. Kitchen facilities good but value for money should have decent crockery and cutlery. Dining table good size but badly marked. Dining chairs very hard base. BBQ area scruffy. Drapes and blinds all need replacing. Bed, was 50/50 on comfort. Shockingly ugly mat in main bedroom. Ensuite basin cracked and plug in sink stuck and doesn't drain properly, one in main bathroom missing altogether.

Beautifully appointed, very comfortable, had everything we needed. Loved the view of the lake, easy instructions to follow to get in and access everything we needed.

No AC in 2 of 3 bedrooms. Was ok with fans but would be challenging in hotter months.

Spacious accommodation. We'll equipped  kitchen.  Great view of the Lake and coffee shop across the road.

Some TLC need in the bathrooms. SInk plug is missing in one  and the other does drain well..   shower drain has a  rotten smell about it. Table mats are full of fluff need to throw them away.

Mooi ruim appartement. Gelegen aan lake Taupo met een lekker zwembad.

Voor het appartement wat op de begaande grond ligt loopt de wandelboulevard en ligt het zwembad. Mensen kunnen makkelijk binnen kijken. Gebeurd niet echt maar toch.

Awesome location

It's our 3rd stay in the building and first one in this apartment. It has a very high standard and we love it.

There was a family who played loud music in the pool area. I think this shouldn't be allowed.

Location was superb. Apartment had plenty of room for 5 adults. Quiet.

Only 4 cups / mugs for a 6 bed apartment. Luckily we had a spare with us.

The parking spot for this unit is extremely tight and has bikes in the way to tuck right in

The sheets in the big room with ensuite had blood on them. I have a photo for proof. Was not the best thing to see when hoping in to bed the first night.

Rooms were hot in summer but fans were supplied for the rooms that didn’t have air con.

Great family venue with private pool access and 100% visibility of pool from the patio. Well appointed kitchen, large family area and great sized bedrooms. 3km's from Taupo central, very easy stroll.

Good location. Right on the lake front with walkway in front allowing you to take in the views and grab a coffee at cafe next door.

Was hard to follow access information. Took us a while to figure out how to get in. No coffee making facilities. A plunger would have been good or better yet a pod machine

Swimming pool is great fun for our family and great lake view.

The WIFI receiption in rooms are very poor, may be not a bad thing for kids.

A fabulous property - home away from home and had everything there that you could possibly need. We were a party of 3 x couples and there was plenty of room, both indoors and outdoors, to relax and spend time together. The pool was a lovely addition, we made good use of the BBQ and ate outside, and there was a nice view of the lake. Two of the bedrooms are quite large and roomy, the third bedroom has single beds and was quite small - so was a bit of a squeeze with luggage etc.

The only slight downside was the fact that all the pillows were very big and chunky (thick/high) which was a problem for 4 out of the 6 of us. It would have been great to have had a variety of pillows (different thicknesses) or a couple of spares to swop around for different needs. Most of us with back/neck issues ended up finding make shift solutions by putting slimmer pool towels or jumpers into the pillow cases!

The fiberglass in the spa seems to be coming through the paint especially on the seat and it gave all of us a rash where it contacted our skin. Otherwise all was great

Location was phenomenal! After hours service was good. Very clean. Amazingly comfortable beds! The pool is lovely and the property is great for families.

The booklet information is different to the information provided in arrival email. Information about access to building in the booklet is out of date. Had to contact the after hours duty person to get the code for the gate to the lake front. The toilet in the en-suite drips/runs constantly. The shower drainage in the en-suite was slow. Insinkerator button did not work - had to use power switch to operate. The markings on the oven and dishwasher have faded so they are difficult to operate.

Excellent location, very spacious suited our needs perfectly, very comfy beds.

Needs a block out blind in the second bedroom our grown daughter was in there and she had to turn the light off to get dressed and undressed and it was broken. Also in the main bathroom the sink release button was broken so took for ever to empty, so everyone had to use master bathroom as there were five of us a little inconvenient.

The kitchen is perfect

The Spa pool is too hot. A bit disappointed as we look forward for a night spa. We only lasted 5 minutes as it's really too hot!! We recommend to adjust it to 39 degrees as it feels like 45.

Great location right near the walkway/cycleway on the edge of the lake, with a lovely cafe across the road. The apartment was spacious, warm, sunny and comfortable. It had everything our family of 5 adults needed for a weekend stay, which included cooking a meal in the well-equipped kitchen. The pool and sauna were lovely.

The spa was cold and despite a request to have it turned on this did not happen. There was no second set of keys in the apartment as stated, which meant a bit of juggling with people coming and going. Three water glasses broke in the dishwasher so you might need to improve the quality of these!

The spa on day 1 and 2 was so hot, like boiling, we were unable to even go in it, but it cooled down with the rain luckily.

Waterfront, great size for large family. Kids loves the pool, even better that it’s heated!

The apartment was very spacious. The ground floor access to the pool was very nice.

The parking in spot #1 was a bit tight as it was against the wall and there was a sea-doo parked in spot #2. Otherwise everything was excellent.

the apartment was so well stocked with everything our family needed for our stay, beautiful bedrooms, super comfortable beds, really warm, great kitchen with all the amenities, a washer and dryer that turned out to be really handy, excellent shower/bath and ensuite that were really clean and awesome water pressure. LOVED the heated pool and the ease of access to the lake which was right on our doorstep. communication with the owners was really easy when we had questions and they were accommodating, understanding and super helpful, excellent hosts that made our stay even more comfortable.

The location was beautiful, right beside the lakefront walkway. The pool was heated nicely for a swim mid winter. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable.

The parking space was a bit tight when it was very busy, however there was another carpark outside the building available. It was good being able to park right outside the apartment being on the ground level.
