Reviewed Jul 30, 2026We had a wonderful stay at Solaz. This is a gorgeous beach resort in a perfect location between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. It has a sleek design yet still feels luxurious and tropical. The infinity pool with swim-up bar overlooking the ocean was our favorite spot to relax and enjoy a cocktail. The staff were all very knowledgable and friendly. Shout out to our concierge, Lea. Everything she recommended was top tier including transportation, activities and restaurants. Her communication with us before and during our stay was clear, detailed and always so enthusiastic. Thank you Lea! We are already excited to return next year!

Reviewed Jul 29, 2026Such a beautiful resort, which is why we are sad to have to write this review. Because the location and amenities were so lovely, we decided to attend the presentation for the vacation club- which we never do. We invested several hours carefully listening to, and weighing, the options and decided that we were not prepared to commit to 25+ years of payments and fees equivalent to many families' mortgages. We declined. We were then handed off to a "final person to sign us out", his name was Edgar. Edgar then introduced himself not as a vacation club employee to sign us out but as "a representative of the resort ownership group". This was in full sight of everyone else, so we had no reason to be suspicious of Edgar or his conversation with us. At the end, we were offered, and accepted, a package of vacations at Solaz with no additional fees or membership. We reviewed all details carefully with Edgar during and after the process. When the membership confirmation arrived via email several weeks later I logged into the account. There was no record of the terms we had agreed to available on the website. I reached out to the membership department and was responded to with terms that were wildly different from what we had purchased. Several back and forth communications, including me sending both the contract AND Edgar's handwritten notes only resulted in "we are sorry you misunderstood, do you want us to cancel your membership?". Not once did anyone offer to connect us with Edgar for clarification. We did not misunderstand anything. We took detailed notes and considered the decision very carefully before saying yes. This was deceptive, manipulative, and shows a complete lack of integrity on their part. We confirmed cancellation of the membership, as what they were offering was not what we had agreed to. Even then, we never received the refund from them and had to file a fraud claim with our credit card to get our money back. What a massive disappointment on all fronts. Our family was looking forward to enjoying the beautiful resort and our trust has been broken in wanting to believe that people and businesses will do what they say they are going to do. Don't attend their presentation, it is several hours of your life (and possibly a lot of your money) that you won't get back.

Reviewed Jul 22, 2026This was our 1st time to Solaz, after owning for years at Hacienda del Mar. The experience was top notch- everything from the service to the rooms to the grounds. Extra special shout out to Aremis at the front desk, who always greeted us by our name, Ricardo at the adult pool who was beyond attentive and Angel, the most helpful and friendly valet. The service at the family pool was lacking, didnt seem like any of the waiters wanted to take our order. We were a bit disappointed with the restaurants at Solaz. Not only pricey but the menu selection was limited; almost like it was trying too hard to be exclusive. Also, kudos to the sales team. The obligatory sales breakfast did not feel high pressure at all.

The resort was beautiful and our two bedroom room was just perfect for us to share

Reviewed Jun 9, 2026We had an awesome experience at Solaz today thanks to Santiago! He was incredibly attentive the entire time, always checking and making sure we had everything we needed 🍹 I want to learn Spanish, so he was super encouraging when we tried practicing our Spanish—he was patient, friendly, and helped us learn a few things along the way instead of immediately switching to English. He made us feel welcome and comfortable, and his great attitude made our day by the pool perfect. We’ve purchased day passes at a few resorts in the area and all the staff have been great, but Santiago was our favorite because of how he made us feel during our stay. All the staff at Solaz were great too (shoutout to Luis as well), but if you get Santiago, you’re going to have a great time. When you’re traveling to a new place, it makes a huge difference when you have people who are welcoming and make your vacation special. That was definitely Santiago. ¡Muchas gracias amigo! 🙏🏻

Reviewed May 29, 2026We just returned from a truly wonderful stay at Solaz. From check-in to checkout—and everything in between—we received exceptional service and a level of hospitality that was truly remarkable.
Sarai checked us in and graciously allowed us to view our room before completing the check-in process. We were hoping for a room with a great view, and she went above and beyond to help. She also confirmed that an upgraded room would become available after a few days, and we were incredibly grateful for the accommodation.
Our butler, Benjamin, was instrumental in making our stay seamless. He assisted with restaurant reservations, coordinated our move to the upgraded room, arranged transportation, and handled countless details throughout our trip. Octavio was equally wonderful, helping us each evening with transportation to the Uber pickup area and ensuring we returned comfortably to our room.
The dining experiences were also excellent. Special thanks to Wendy at Mako and Ares at Sakagura for their outstanding service. We also appreciated the attentive pool staff, as well as the entire spa team and therapists, who made our experience especially relaxing and memorable.
Thank you to everyone at Solaz for making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to returning.

1 star review. Not even 4 minutes on property for a birthday holiday and scammy hand off to a high pressure timeshare salesman. Not my first rodeo so blew him off but disgraceful for a supposed Marriott elite property. Disgusting.

Reviewed Apr 11, 2026From the moment we arrived at Solaz, the experience felt elevated, thoughtful, and genuinely luxurious. The property itself is stunning, with modern architecture seamlessly blended into the natural landscape and incredible ocean views from nearly every angle.
What truly sets Solaz apart, however, is the service.
At the pool, Eduardo stood out in every way. He was attentive without being intrusive, consistently polite, and always one step ahead of what we needed. Whether it was refreshing drinks, adjusting seating, or simply checking in at the right moments, his professionalism made our days by the pool effortless and enjoyable.
We were also so glad to see Omar again, a kind and familiar face who embodies the warmth of the resort. He is always welcoming, polite, and genuinely makes you feel remembered and valued as a guest. It is small touches like this that turn a great stay into a memorable one.
Beyond the service, everything else from the food and pool experience to the overall atmosphere was top tier. The resort strikes a perfect balance between luxury and comfort, making it easy to relax while still feeling taken care of at every step.
Highly recommend Solaz for anyone looking for a refined, relaxing, and truly first class experience in Cabo. We will absolutely be back.
We came to Solaz during spring break to celebrate a milestone: my daughter’s acceptance to a school she had worked hard to attend. This was meant to be a rare and special vacation. We chose Solaz based on our positive past experiences with 5-star Marriott properties, and specifically on a prior stay at Solaz itself — in the exact same category of room, booked through the Fine Hotels & Resorts program via Amex — which at that time was operated by a different management company. At nearly $2,000 per night, our expectations were reasonable: attentive service, follow-through, and accountability. What we encountered instead was a culture of indifference that I feel compelled to document — both to warn future guests and to surface what I believe is a serious breach of brand standards.
Before I go further, a critical piece of context that every prospective guest should understand: Solaz is NOT directly owned or managed by Marriott. It is owned and operated by Quinta del Golfo de Cortez (QGC), a Mexican company, under a franchise/brand license agreement with Marriott International’s Luxury Collection. Marriott grants that license with the explicit requirement that the franchisee operate to Luxury Collection standards. In my experience and observation, QGC is not meeting those standards — and I believe they are in material breach of what that franchise agreement is supposed to represent to guests.
The property itself is stunning, and many of the staff are genuinely friendly. That is not in dispute. The problem is systemic, and it starts and ends with execution.
Over the course of our stay, we were told on at least six separate occasions — two of them in person — that the Food & Beverage Manager would personally follow up with us regarding our requests, including reservations for Easter brunch and related activities. He never called. Not once. At check-in on Sunday, a front desk agent assured us the reservations would be handled. Later that evening, the highest-ranking employee on duty at the front desk again assured us things were taken care of. We were told notes had been entered into their system on multiple occasions, yet subsequent staff could not locate those notes — suggesting a breakdown at the operational or IT level that no one seems accountable for.
The staff, while pleasant, would not take ownership of problems. On several occasions, calls ended abruptly — hung up before the conversation was actually concluded. No callbacks. No resolution. Just a quiet hope, it seemed, that the problem would go away on its own.
This is not a 5-star experience. It is not consistent with the Marriott Luxury Collection standard, and it is a significant departure from the Solaz experience we had previously, in the same room category and through the same Fine Hotels & Resorts program, under a different management company. The people working here now appear to be either not empowered, not motivated, or not properly trained to set expectations and deliver on promises. That is a leadership failure, not an employee failure.
I do not believe the General Manager, Giuliana Torres Schernthaner, is operating this property at a 5-star level. The culture at a hotel reflects its leadership — the hiring, the training, the degree of agency given to staff, the expectations set and enforced. The weaknesses we experienced are not isolated; they reflect the team she has built, and that team in turn shapes the experience every individual staff member delivers. What I observed is a culture of avoidance: avoiding problems, avoiding follow-through, avoiding difficult conversations with guests, and hoping issues resolve themselves. That culture does not build itself. It is permitted, and modeled, from the top.
And the accountability does not stop at the GM. The full Marriott leadership chain responsible for enforcing Luxury Collection brand standards on this franchise is, from lowest to highest:
• Giuliana Torres Schernthaner — General Manager, Solaz
• Marcela Rodriguez Asfura — Area Director of Operations, Mexico and Caribbean
• Gamal El Fakih Rodriguez — Vice President of Operations, Luxury, Premium and Residences, Caribbean and Latin America
• Hugo Desenzani — Managing Director, Luxury Group, Caribbean and Latin America
Each person in this chain bears responsibility for the standards, training, and culture at the properties under their oversight.
Ultimately, Hugo Desenzani, as Managing Director of the Luxury Group for the Caribbean and Latin America, is the decision maker who authorizes this franchise to continue operating under the Luxury Collection name and who is responsible for holding the franchisee,QGC, accountable to the criteria of that agreement. That is why I am naming him specifically.
Accountability at a 5-star level means accountability by name, not by anonymous corporate structure.
I will be contacting Mr. Desenzani and the regional franchise oversight team directly, because I believe QGC is in breach of the spirit, if not the letter, of its franchise agreement with Marriott.
The service failures described here have substantially diminished the Luxury Collection brand at this location.
The franchisee should be held to a formal corrective plan with clear benchmarks, or the franchise should be reconsidered entirely.
At minimum, there should be a rigorous review of whether appropriate training, behavior, and expectations were ever made clear to the operator, because it does not appear that QGC has the operational capability to execute a Luxury Collection franchise to the standard that other Marriott franchises deliver.
When you are paying close to $2,000 a night, you expect service, accountability, ownership, and results. Most importantly, you expect the basic human courtesy of people honoring their agreements. We did not receive that here. Instead, we had to self-advocate at every turn: far more than we have ever had to at a hotel of this caliber.
My advice to prospective guests, and the honest theme of this review: I just want you to know what you are actually walking into.
The property is beautiful. The brochures are beautiful. The brand name on the door is one of the most respected in luxury hospitality that includes the Ritz Carlton.
The operating reality on the ground is not a Luxury Collection experience. Do not expect strong service. Do not expect follow-up. Do not expect the level of care that the price tag and the brand promise. Be prepared to chase down every detail yourself.
My hope in writing this is:
First, to help fellow travelers make informed decisions, especially those planning once-in-a-lifetime trips where service failures carry real emotional weight.
Second, to respectfully but clearly signal to Marriott’s Luxury Group leadership and specifically to Hugo Desenzani as the decision maker for this franchise and many others —that the oversight being applied here is insufficient, and that QGC’s operation of Solaz is actively eroding the brand equity of the Luxury Collection. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and there are too many weak links here for it to be coincidence.
Solaz can be the resort its marketing promises. Under its current franchisee and current leadership, it isn’t.

Reviewed Apr 4, 2026Always a great stay at Solaz Club. The rooms are so spacious and the full kitchen is appreciated for the week stay. We love shopping at the local grocery store, and would bring snacks and sandwiches down to the pool as the meals there can get pricey. The airstream taco truck was new to us, and we loved this for a lighter dinner one night sitting right on the beach. The pools have the best views and service at Solaz is so good, never a moment we don’t feel cared for.

Reviewed Mar 29, 2026My two best friends and I spent two nights at Solaz, a Luxury Collection Resort, Los Cabos and we are already talking about when we can go back.
The property itself is absolutely stunning—every detail is thoughtfully designed and impeccably maintained. Everywhere you look feels like a postcard. Our room was beautifully appointed and spacious enough for the three of us to share comfortably. The terrace was large with incredible ocean views, and the shower… truly next level.
What really made our stay exceptional, though, was the service. Every team member we encountered was genuinely kind and attentive. One of my friends is pregnant, and everyone—from the bartenders to the bell team—went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and taken care of.
It was also my birthday, and I can honestly say I’ve never had so much cake in a three-day span! The team made such an effort to make me feel special, and I felt incredibly celebrated and grateful.
A few standout mentions:
The two gentlemen bartenders at Al Pairo bar were fantastic—fun, engaging, and thoughtful enough to remember us the next night and ask about our evening.
Roberto at the pool bar was so warm and welcoming. He took great care of my pregnant friend, made delicious drinks, and was genuinely proud to work at Solaz—it showed.
And last but certainly not least, DIEGO our artisan butler, was absolutely incredible. He checked in on us throughout our stay, was consistently kind and attentive, and truly made us feel cared for. On our final night, he surprised us by decorating our room for my birthday, which was such a special and thoughtful touch. Diego is the best—I will absolutely request him every time I return.
Thank you to the entire team for such an unforgettable stay!

Reviewed Mar 10, 2026We stayed for over a week at the start of March 2026.
The good:
- Food was consistently excellent everywhere at the resort - all restaurants did an excellent job
- Attendants at the pool (Carlos and Irving) were awesome - these guys work hard and check in often
- The rooms are very nice and spacious - the housekeeping service was good though it did take until early/late afternoon for the rooms to be cleaned - even when putting the Clean Room signal on at 8:30 AM
- The pools are warm (~90 degrees F) with excellent views of the ocean - no need to go on a whale watching tour as they can be seen right in front of this resort. The tour boats are seen frequently chasing the whales a couple hundred meters in front of the resort
- The hottubs were also good and not too hot (~100 degrees F)
- The atmosphere was great - high end and sophisticated
Needs improvement:
- Communication at the resort is poor at best. We found out that a portion of the resort was booked for an event which caused the family pool to be closed pushing all of those people over to the Adults pool. As it turns out, only half of the Family pool was closed but resulted in the Adults section being very busy
- The reflecting pools by the Adults pool make no sense. They are a foot to a foot and a half deep - are these meant to swim or wade in? Why not make them actual pools?
- Value for the money - this resort does not meet expectations. Pricing is a bit much - $750 pesos for a burger and fries?
- Menus changed while we were staying but that was not communicated and the butlers did not provide the new menu's until we requested the latest
- We had requested an upgraded room and were led to believe that may be an option at check in - when we did check in, nothing was mentioned. When I followed up half way through our trip, they told us that we already had one of the best rooms available and that no complimentary upgrades were available given what we had booked - this should have been communicated to us in advance.
- We tried to order room service through the app - but that is not available at this resort
- The butlers are useless. They have no ability to address concerns.
- Noise levels around the pools got a bit much at times. The street noise inside the room was also noticeable - especially when the door was open. The bedroom closest to the street could always hear traffic noise

Reviewed Mar 5, 2026Wow. My husband I just returned from a four day vacation at Solaz and it exceeded all our expectations. What a beautiful setting and it didn’t hurt that we got a whale watching show from the pool deck every single day. I want to compliment so many of the employees that we met who did such a fabulous job at making us feel welcome, comfortable and well taken care of. First our waiters at the pool - Pedro, Gustavo and Rigoberto. They were all so friendly and outgoing and made sure my husband never had an empty tequila glass! Fantastic service. At the pool itself Fernando and Cesar were amazing too - what a tough job as many people bring their towels and books down early to take chairs and Fernando was very diplomatic in ensuring that he watched over how long it had been to make sure people could get chairs and communicated with us regularly to help us get a nice view - not an easy job! We had our after dinner cocktail each evening up at the bar by the Mexican restaurant and enjoyed very meaningful conversations with Francisco and Ivan about how they came to be at Solaz, and their experience there. They are quite talented at making those specialty cocktails and again, experts in true hospitality and it’s apparent that they truly enjoy their jobs. We can’t wait to visit again so please convey our thanks to all the staff! The Kellers

Reviewed Jan 27, 2026First of all - don’t ruin your day by agreeing to hear the club marketing presentation. We were introduced to someone right after check in who made the pitch for us to hear the presentation in exchange for $300 of credit and 50% off at the spa. We agreed only because it was “75 minutes”. However, it was a solid 2.5 hrs! See the very bottom for a few more details. Now for the resort which was exceptional...
The resort was way more luxurious, stylish and overall much nicer than we expected. Not too many times does a resort look better in person than online. This is one of them. Our Marriott Bonvoy status gave us a great upgrade to a one-bedroom suite and free breakfast. The service is excellent and we had 2 butlers who were available by text for any needs.
Inside the room - our butler showed us how to connect our music device to the built-in speakers that were located throughout. There are 3 zones of speakers including the outdoor patio. It was a nice touch.
The one-bedroom suite comes with 2 full bathrooms, an ice maker, wine fridge, fancy coffee maker and a jacuzzi bathtub on the patio. We were impressed with the design and execution as our patio was totally private from all sides, yet an ocean view was still maintained.
What stood out were the details that elevated the experience. Binoculars were provided for great views of whales from the patio (which were very active!). Ambiance lighting, ice maker, whole gourmet coffee beans and a pool/beach bag is provided for use. Waters were provided complimentary in aluminum cans. Turn down service included chocolates. It was nice to have a ceiling fan & of course robes.
The grounds are exceptional with attention to every detail. Art sculptures, varieties of cactus, ambient lighting…. It’s all there. The design and style is seamless with the arid landscape. The rooms are tucked away, and it didn’t feel crowded at all.
Overall, I would say the vibe is more couples than families. My husband and I decided we’d leave the luxury for ourselves and not bring the teenagers here.
The infinity pools are wonderfully elevated framing the ocean views. We enjoyed the “adults only” pool. The beach level is not cluttered. Pool service is exceptional.
We enjoyed Al Pairo restaurant the most. The service was exceptional and food exquisite. Drinks were amazing and service all around was premier. I appreciated the purse / handbag racks. I also liked the luxury presentation of the bar. Everything visible was finely presented. I appreciate not seeing dirty dishes or plastic condiment trays. The pool bar had a similar vibe... the only thing visible are the beautiful bottles. Very classy.
Back to the club marketing presentation… I’m honestly surprised the hotel even allows this. I understand the property has one owner, so hotel guests are the prime target. We did attend the marketing meeting which was way longer than promised (2.5 hrs!). The sales presentation pushes for a decision “now or never”. It’s ridiculous to think anyone would commit to that kind of spending (well over $150k) without thinking about it, speaking to your accountant, etc. We wanted to take a packet of info with us (because we were actually interested in some level of it) and that was not allowed. It was really dumb. My advice - don’t waste your time with the presentation as it may leave a bad taste.

Reviewed Jan 17, 2026This was our forth visit here and we loved it just as much as every trip before. We stayed on the Club side and enjoyed having our own condo with laundry plus a kitchen.
This is a unique resort and built to relax, workout, and enjoy all that Cabo has to offer. The infinity pools are spacious with lower noticeable chlorine smell compared to other hotels. The whole resort is very clean - the team does a great job caring for it. The gym is lovely with a bright spacious space with both indoor and outdoor equipment. Parking on property is free which is appreciated.
We came right before Christmas and the resort was decorated for the holidays with uplifting holiday music playing in common areas. We even received a beautiful chocolate Christmas tree. It was delicious!
The team on site is amazing with top notch service.
We find the restaurants on property to be too expensive so we eat off property most of the time. Would be great if Solaz could bring restaurant prices down 15% at least, then we would gladly enjoy the on property restaurants.
Highly recommend!

Reviewed Jan 11, 2026My wife and I had a perfect 7-night stay at Solaz Los Cabos. I’m a Marriott Ambassador Elite and travel extensively, and Solaz stands out for its privacy, beautiful design, and consistently excellent experience. We were upgraded to a beach-view room with a plunge pool, and it was spectacular. The beach is stunning, food was excellent, and the spa was a highlight.
Big shout-out to Teresa and Gabriel (our butlers), Fatima at Cascabel, Yowany at Mako, Andrea at the spa reception, and Teresa for an outstanding spa treatment.
The only disappointment was the service at Sakugara Japanese restaurant. The food was great, but the service was subpar.
Very disappointing experience at Solaz, a Luxury Collection Resort, Los Cabos.
At check-in, we were persuaded by a staff member named Sergio to attend a “90-minute” meeting that turned into over 2.5 hours. We were told there was no obligation and promised 15% off food & beverage, which was emphasized multiple times as the only reason we agreed.
The meeting itself was uncomfortable and aggressive — we were shuffled between multiple salespeople, pressured repeatedly, and presented with wildly inconsistent offers, ranging from a $120,000 package down to a $20,000 two-stay deal, just to get us to sign something.
At checkout, we were told the food & beverage discount only applies to club members, a condition that was never disclosed. Had we purchased, the benefit would have been honored — since we didn’t, it suddenly wasn’t possible.
This is not about the money. It’s about being misled to our faces and having our vacation time taken under false pretenses. When we tried to address it, Sergio ignored us and hotel staff refused to help or escalate.
It was also clear that this property prioritizes the club and residences, not hotel guests. For the price point, there are far better options in Cabo that treat guests with honesty and respect.
This hotel is beautifully designed. We stayed at the club in a 2 bedroom suite. The rooms are gorgeous. There is noise from the highwa, so if you are sensitive to noise, stay elsewhere. The service here was mediocre for Cabo. It doesn’t compare to Las Ventana’s, Palmilla, or Esperanza. The views are pretty and rooms are all ocean view.
The vibe of the hotel is serene and quiet. No live music or entertainment at all. Hotel lacks personality and charm. Stay here for a luxurious room and peace and calm. I would come back for the right price, however there are definitely more charming luxe hotels on Cabo.
7th trip to Cabo - previously stayed at Hilton, Casa Maat, Cabo Azul, Pueblo Bonita, etc. First Solaz stay. Marriott Ambassador. The room decor and layout was great for our fam of 4. 2 full baths, 3 full closets, 2 Q beds and a fold out couch, patio, full kitchen, laundry. Grounds and facilities very well-maintained. Excellent job with NYE fireworks on beach. Breakfast buffet very good (ours was included, but $60pp/daily if not).
My complaints were a VERY understaffed pool service group (yes, I know it was the holiday season) and a freezing cold main pool, rendering the hot tubs useless because they were FULL (overflowing, in fact) of screaming children under 5. Very unpleasant. We have a 12 and 17 yr old who are quiet and the "family" pool was very unpleasant due to littles constantly running, throwing balls everywhere, splashing, crying, etc. People also had lots of dogs in pool area. For a "5-star" resort at this price point, this was unacceptable. Daily pool experience diminished the overall experience. Also ordered drinks only during the mid-afternoon (2pm - off-time, not meal time) from room service, took over an hour and instead of a glass of wine, got a bottle for $100 - not ordered. As mentioned in previous review, ALL food and drink VERY expensive - expected, understood, but FYI.

Reviewed Dec 29, 2025The good:
Our experience over was great. However we couldn’t get past the cost of the hotel for what we got. I will say the hotel was very civilized and maybe that what we were paying for. Very clean, professional, friendly staff etc. Lots of nooks and crannies to “get away “ , never once felt “crowded “. The pools, hot tubs and swim up bar was A Plus.
The Bad:
I ordered room service, and had no place to really eat my food. For the price we paid for the room, it should have a table or a desk to eat or work on.
The thermostat would only let you drop the temperature down to 72°. I would expect that at a cheaper hotel.
We ate at the Al Pairo Restaurant. We ordered an appetizer, and an entrée each. We found the food, tasteless, and left hungry. I had to order room service after I got back to my room.
The Ugly:
I was charged over $150.00 (US dollars) for transportation I ordered, but did not use. They would not work with me on a refund.
Overall I thought the hotel was overrated for the price we paid. Other cheaper resorts in Mexico had better breakfasts (more choice of meats etc).
Hope this helps

Reviewed Dec 26, 2025We had a wonderful stay at Solaz Los Cabos, and what truly sets this property apart is the people.
By the pool, Karla is simply exceptional. She is the best server we encountered by far. Warm, kind, fast, and incredibly accurate with orders, she consistently went above and beyond to make sure we had exactly what we needed. She made every pool day better.
Caesar deserves special recognition as well. He was fantastic handling towels and umbrellas and always proactive, attentive, and helpful. You could tell he takes pride in his role and in guest comfort.
At the concierge desk, Lea was very attentive and clearly tried her hardest to help with every request. She followed through and made sure nothing fell through the cracks.
Our butlers, Teresa and Gabriel, were both outstanding. They were attentive without being intrusive and made everything feel seamless and easy throughout our stay.
One of the highlights for our family was the tennis center. Fernando, the tennis coach, was fantastic. He worked with my 16-year-old daughter, who is a varsity player, for five days. His coaching style struck the perfect balance of positive encouragement, motivation, and firm instruction. She learned a lot and truly enjoyed every session.
Finally, I was fortunate enough to meet Giuliana, the General Manager. She is incredibly impressive. During a very busy festive period, she handled everything with professionalism, calm, and warmth. What stood out most was how she supports her team and treats them with respect. You can feel that culture throughout the resort, and as a guest, it makes the experience even more enjoyable.
Solaz is a beautiful property, but it’s the people and leadership that make it exceptional. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it.

Reviewed Nov 28, 2025Wonderful resort, beautiful rooms, clean beach and great pools. Food was amazing, pricey but so delicious. Our favorites were the wagyu sliders at the pool and Al Pairo (Michelin rated) for dinner. Loved their place settings and had the Beet salad, followed by the tuna tostado with crunchy pork belly with a cricket mole sauce. For dinner the wagyu New York with mashed plantains and mole sauce. We were celebrating my 60th birthday and they brought me a delicious dessert and when we returned to our room it was decorated and they gave me a really cute cactus gift.

Reviewed Nov 12, 2025Alot left to be desired! On surface, this hotel is beautiful but that's where it began and end. The quality of food, lack of any entertainment but they love to remind you how rich and how long the owner has been in the hospitality business. I purchase this vacation last October when they failed at tried selling a time share that made no sense for my future travel plans. Coming from LeBlanc this is just not a luxury resort, beautiful but not luxury! THE ICING ON THE CAKE IS I HAD TO GO TO A TIMESHARE MEETING AGAIN TO GET THE BENEFITS THAT WAS PART OF MY ORIGINAL PURCHASE VACATION. I hate to leave this but they have to do better.

Reviewed Nov 4, 2025I can’t get over how incredible the service was at Solaz. Specifically Karla and Mariela at the Juice bar outside the gym. She really got to know us over the week on a personal level, knew our orders by heart, and made us a special gift at the end of trip. If you’re looking for overall great service this is where you want to stay. Our Artisan Butler Diego was also fantastic. Kept his distance but also was there in a second when he was needed. Helped us organize our trip and gave recommendations in our price point.
0/10 Stars- the house keeping staff steals and when a stolen watch was reported nothing was done and the manager smiled and laughed when we asked them to review footage. This was a sentimental watch and we are heart broken about it!
THEY STOLE MY WATCH OUT OF ROOM AND REFUSE TO MAKE IT!!!
On Friday October 31st in the morning my watch was taken. My room privacy light was on and completely avoided. Watch was worn to wedding rehearsal walk through at 9:00 am. Went back to room at 9:45 to change for the pool before breakfast. At this point the watch was taken off and placed on my night stand. WE HAVE ASKED MANY TIMES FOR VIDEO SURVALLIANCE SHOWING I HAD THE WATCH… IN WITCH CASE THEY ANSWER SORRY WE CAN NOT PROVIDE THAT.
I was here for my best friends wedding. They proceed by needing to pull me away from wedding party and going up to search my room. Of course, NO WATCH!
They proceed to lie to me by telling me a police report had been filed. It wasn’t until the morning Sunday morning after giving them 2 days to get to the bottom of it that They proceed by saying oh we are sorry no police report was filed and if you wish to file one you have to go do that. They told me this knowing I had to leave property at 11:00. Literally gave me 90 minutes notice. Absolutely disgusting. It looks like the entire staff is in on it. I even asked for the logs of who has been in my room, won’t provide anything!
All they say “sorry nothing we can do for you”
Asking for people to help stand up with this and make it right!! We have traveled with Marriott for over 20 years. My family has the highest status with them. Clearly loyalty means nothing to this company.

Reviewed Oct 15, 2025We just returned from a three nights stay at the Solaz. The hotel is an architectural beauty. Beauty and the staff is beyond hospitable. From Josue (butler) who checked in with us daily to ensure we were comfortable and offered friendly conversation and tips on Cabo, to Aracely (Cascabel) who was so great each morning while I waited for my mocha, to Karla (Foresta) who gave us some great restaurant recommendations, and Lea (concierge) who flawlessly set up plans for us ahead of our stay – each interaction was genuine and memorable. The spa experience was probably one of the best we’ve seen in a while, globally. What a retreat.
The only thing which was offputting was being quickly handed off to the club ambassador immediately following check-in. We were tired and hungry and wanted to get to our room but had to sit through a sales pitch, and the ambassador was not reading our cues that we were not interested at the time and wanted to move along. Turns out, we wouldn’t have been able to make the breakfasts they were offering, anyhow because of our plans, but she didn’t lead with that leaving us feeling trapped for approximately 10 minutes. I’d urge a hotel to drink think this handoff – or train the ambassadors to “read“ the guests as the hotel staff understands how to do so well!

Reviewed Oct 10, 2025I have stayed here twice. The first time was whale season and you could sit in the pool and watch the whales it was awesome. My only complaint was the beach was very soft and hard to walk on. The second trip in September the beach sand was packed and easy to walk on. Not a lot of people on the beach so it is great atmosphere. If you get a plunge pool I do not think they re heated so in the winter they were too cold for me. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and spacious. The real star here is the service. I would put this hotel on par with a ritz or 4 seasons for the service. Food at restaurants is good with good variety across the resort.

Reviewed Oct 5, 2025Just wrapped up an incredible anniversary trip to Cabo! We stayed 4 nights at Solaz, a Luxury Collection Resort, and the property was absolutely stunning. Hands down one of the best Marriott properties we’ve experienced!
We booked with points (Gold Member) for a standard room and were upgraded to a gorgeous ocean-view suite with a private plunge pool. The staff, ambiance, and restaurants were all five-star - every meal we had was fantastic.
We loved walking along the beach, working out in their beautiful gym, grabbing smoothies, and relaxing by the many pools. The resort never felt crowded, and the weather was perfect the entire stay.
The spa was also amazing - one of the best spas I’ve been to. I got a facial, and my husband joined me for the hydrotherapy, which you can access for just $39 per day, totally worth it!
Already counting down the days until we can come back next year!

Reviewed Sep 9, 2025My stay at Solaz was great. Our butlers were always available for assistance or a quick ride to another part of the property. We received amazing service from the entire staff. The property is immaculately maintained and the blend of architecture and landscape creates such a zen atmosphere. The resort is very unique and just purely stunning.
We enjoyed most of our food at the resort. The breakfast was pretty good. You can tell a few of the items were sitting in a warmer though. We enjoyed the Italian restaurant but the portions were small. The food we had by the pool was really good! The food truck on the beach wasn’t available so I can’t attest to that.
Binoculars are provided for whale watching. There was plenty of seating available by the pool and around fire pits for conversation.
I have 2 criticisms. The first is that the pools aren’t heated and were very cold. The pool was actually colder than the ocean. We declined an upgrade to a room with a plunge pool because they aren’t heated either. We visited in January, where it was gorgeous during the day and chilly at night. The hot tubs were a nice touch, but it was a little too warm during the day for the hot tub. It would’ve been nice to get in the pool during the day.
The second criticism is the area adjacent to the dog area smells…obviously like dog pee. It just needs to be washed down at least once/day. Maybe even hosing it down with some pet enzyme spray every so often.
Otherwise this was one of my favorite Marriott properties to date!

But honestly the entire staff who were so very friendly is what made us want to return. Next time we will not even need to leave the property.
Many thanks to Diego, Roberto and Jennifer who took care of everything!

Reviewed Aug 28, 2025Hotel Solaz in Cabo is a huge disappointment and absolutely not worth the inflated rates they charge. The only reason this place has any occupancy at all is because of Marriott Bonvoy — without that program funneling members here, they’d be forced to slash prices in half just to get anyone in the front door.
Service is consistently slow, unresponsive, and dismissive. Requests are ignored or take hours, and management shows little interest in actually resolving issues. While the property looks impressive in photos, it’s poorly maintained, cleanliness is inconsistent, and many amenities don’t work properly.
Instead of focusing on hospitality, Solaz seems determined to nickel-and-dime guests with surprise charges and constant upsells. For what they’re charging, you’d expect a flawless luxury experience — but what you get instead is mediocrity propped up by a loyalty program.
There are plenty of other resorts in Cabo that deliver real service, upkeep, and value. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere but here.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2025Solaz is one of the nicest resorts I’ve ever stayed at. Every single detail is carefully curated. From the second you arrive, the staff ensures you enjoy every moment. You get a concierge assigned to you upon checking in. The architecture of this property is immaculate. Moving on to the rooms, perfection. They all face the ocean. The thermostat's temperature is ideal, and the drapes are automated, and you can also pull a whole temporary wall if you want privacy from the closet/bathroom area.
The pools: A family pool and an adults' pool are divided by a significant distance, so that you won’t hear any children. Both have pool bars and infinity pools with gorgeous views.
The towels are as soft as heaven, and the staff watches over your every need and conveniently caters to your experience.
The food is outstanding, exceptional, and delicious. Please note that this is not an all-inclusive resort, and it is not cheap; it is a luxury resort, so be prepared to pay fair prices for the quality food you eat.
Conveniently located between the Marina and San Jose, you can also explore the town and have fun outside the resort.
I am definitely going back to Solaz.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2025This was a last minute “before the kids go back to college trip.” We regularly stay at Marriott properties and last time in Cabo we stayed at the JW which was amazing. This time we wanted a property with a beach so gave the Solaz a try. To say it was amazing would be an understatement. The room—a two bedroom suite with view of the ocean—was amazing. The breakfast was stunning—fresh quesadillas every morning?! What!? Hard to imagine that anything could be better. But it was. The service—from waiters —Brian and Chino on the omelette station—in the restaurants to the spa to check in and check out was flawless. Octavio and Jennifer made us feel like family when checking in and checking out. Our personal butlers—Josue and Benjamin anticipated our every wish from dinner reservations to more water to helping adjust anything in the room. They came to our room for mezcal/tequila tastings three times and we talked and laughed. It felt like we knew them forever. If you are lucky enough to have them assist you during your stay, you know what I mean. There are not enough superlatives…perfection is an understatement.

Reviewed Aug 20, 2025We stayed at the 3 bedroom suite for a week at the end of July. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was great. We had a wonderful time right until the very end. We left very early on Monday, did the check out and were told everything was good. Except, later that day they charged us an extra $1,138 US DLS with no explanation. I called and was told it was because of some damage to the Stove, so I requested pictures and they show pretty clear the damage was done during cleaning with some sort of fiber that scratched the surface. There were 5 adults in our party and we barely used the stove, plus the hotel staff always did all the cleaning. We didn’t even have cleaning supplies because they come twice a day and take care of everything, including kitchen and dishes. Last time we used the stove was Sunday morning for breakfast and none of us saw any damage. Moreover, housekeeping was there twice on Sunday and they didn’t report anything until Monday after we left. If the damage was done by us it would have been reported on Sunday at the latest. I am unsure if the pictures are even from the correct room because we no one gave us the opportunity to verify the damage in person. However, the hotel refuses to listen to us or drop the charge, which is basically the cost of a whole new stove. I am never coming back and want to warn everyone who stays at this hotel that they might charge you for anything they want without any proof after you leave.

Reviewed Aug 18, 2025We just returned from the Solaz and had a great time. Stayed at the Marriott side and surprisingly were upgraded to a plunge pool room with our Bonvoy status. The resort is beautiful and service was great, our Butlers (Jorge/Veronica) were very attentive helping arrange offsite dinner reservations and transportation. The cleaning crew did an impressive job making the room look neat and tidy 2x/day, this made returning to our beautiful room so much more enjoyable. On-site food and beverages were a bit on the pricey side but expected at a high end resort such as the Solaz. The cocktails by the pool were always delicious and you could tell bartenders took pride in making exceptional beverages. We took family photos on-site through BEAM photography and our photographer Marcela was very easy to work with and had a great eye for beautiful backdrops around the property. We met with Veronica at the BEAM office onsite the next day to view our photos, she made the process quick and easy by giving us access to the online gallery so we could select our photos at our leisure then sent us the digital images once we returned home. This process relieved the pressure of viewing all the photos at the office and selecting right away - this allowed us to return back to the pool and enjoy our vacation in less than an hour! Overall we had a great stay at the Solaz which is located right in between San Jose and Cabo, keep this in mind when heading offsite for dinner that it will run you about $70USD RT.

Our incredible Butler, Josue, anticipated and accommodated all our needs, even surprising us with a personalized margarita cart right to our room! Reviewed Aug 10, 2025The room was beautiful and super clean. The beds were great and the bedding as well. Has nice Byredo body and hair care. Definitely could hear the cars from the freeway. I guess it’s the tourist corridor and had a lot of traffic. They clean very well and provide tons of towels.
The food at the resort is very good. The only thing is there is nothing casual except the air stream which is closed on some days and then closed again for a private event and they don’t let you know. The menus for each restaurant for lunch to dinner is completely different and you have to be in the mood for heavy Italian food for dinner (no pizza from their oven st dinner) or a Seafood restaurant. Their Michelin recommended restaurant is closed for renovations.

Reviewed Aug 5, 2025My wife and I went to Solaz Cabo for our wedding anniversary back in April and we had the best time ever. The resort was amazing and beautiful. It was clean and well kept. All the restaurants at the resort were delicious (specially the sushi restaurant). The staff was great and friendly but the best part was the love and care we received from our two buttlers/friends Benjamin and Josue. They were amazing and helped us throughout our stay. Everything that we needed they took care of it, always with a massive smile on their faces. (The Mezcal drinks in our room was extra special). A great hotel is only as great as the people that works there and they are the reason we are coming back.
We did have issues with the event’s reservations team as our original trip to Solaz was meant to be in December for a friend’s wedding but my wife had a miscarriage and we unfortunately had to cancel it. We cancelled within 28 days but I guess unknown to us the cancellation policy for a wedding was 30 days (which is way too long). We called them many many times and we got confirmations that we were going to get a refund and a month later and many calls the refund never came. Emails after emails were not replied. Eventually after many calls someone help us and gave us credit and that’s when we went in April. It was for sure a nightmare to deal with that and the unwillingness to help and understand our situation (we even got a doctors letter). But Benjamin and Josue made it all better after we arrived (and many others throughout the resort). The staff at the pool was always great as well. We hope to be back in the future because it is a beautiful resort. Alex Bier

Reviewed Aug 4, 2025Solaz was the most beautiful resort I have ever stayed. The experience was a one that I will never forget. The staff were all over the top helpful and attentive. This resort is the new bar standard that I will use to rate any other place I ever visit.
Architecture and landscaping, the pool staff, and the valet staff. They were also gracious to give us a late checkout.
1. Air conditioning would not go below 22C. Requested service from the technician who shrugged and said "that's the lowest it goes". Basically didn't sleep all week.
2. The lobby restaurant/bar closes early and the staff is awkward and overly formal. Constantly interrupting conversations to ask over and over and over if we need anything else. Constantly asking us to "taste" the same mediocre wine we had been drinking all night.
3. Multiple cockroaches in our room and ants crawling around the bathroom.

Reviewed Jul 28, 2025Highly recommend!!! Stayed here for a couple of nights on a girls’ trip to celebrate a birthday. Honestly, the only reason I booked this hotel was because it's part of Bonvoy, but I was so pleasantly surprised and would 100% stay here again!
PROS
The Food
The restaurants were amazing, and even the poolside food was really good.
The Pools
There are so many pools to choose from! We mostly hung out at the adults-only pool, but the kids’ pools were beautiful too. We never had trouble finding chairs.
The Service
This was the best part of our stay. Josue and Benjerman went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They helped with dinner reservations, transportation, and even offered to assist us after we checked out when we were switching hotels. We stayed at another “hip” hotel afterward, and the service didn’t even come close to what we experienced at Solaz.
CONS
The only downside is that it’s pretty quiet at night. If you’re looking for a late-night drink or party vibe, you’ll need to go off property, but perfect for those who just want to relax!

We were also first given the furthest room from the kids pool. They have adult pools and kids pools, you would think they would put you closer to the kids pool. We had two young kids and walk and carrying them in this heat across the hotel was rough.

Reviewed Jul 9, 2025This place is amazing. You will never experience service like you will at this resort. They truly want to make sure your vacation is perfect. The grounds are the best over ever seen. The landscaping is ridiculous. It’s a pretty chill place. The ocean is rough. You could swim but it’s not for kids or enjoying the water. The beach is pretty but you don’t really hang out there. The pool area is awesome. The rooms are great and the place is stunning. The people are what make this place truly special and unlike anywhere I’ve been. It’s not overly expensive but the liquor pours in the restaurants could be bigger. They go pretty light on those. The pool is fine but at the restaurants the wine pours were not great. Only con.
Rafael - he handled most everything for us. He was unbelievable. I can’t stress enough what an amazing employee this guy is. You should be promoting him quickly. You have a star already in your organization. You have a problem Rafael would get it solved immediately. Amazing guy.

Reviewed Jun 18, 2025I made the horrible mistake of choosing the Solaz Resort. I visited June 13, 2025 and checked out early on June 14, 2025.
Strike 1 - Welcome Hoax
I entered Solaz Resort Los Cabos filled with excitement, eager to celebrate my fiancé's birthday in what seemed to be a luxurious destination in San Jose del Cabo. Unfortunately, my enthusiasm quickly turned into disappointment.
Upon arriving, we were greeted with the standard welcome drink and a cool towel, but that was where the pleasant experience ended. During check-in with Nestor, I inquired about a suite upgrade as a platinum elite member—a request I had submitted in advance to enhance the birthday celebration.
To my surprise, my request went unaddressed until I specifically asked about it; I was then simply offered a higher floor. Nestor informed me that he needed to consult with his manager, claiming no suites were available.
As I waited, I couldn’t help but notice another family nearby who had the same elite status and was promptly upgraded to the suite of their choice—without any obstacles. This sparked my confusion, especially since they were receiving preferential treatment right in front of us. When I raised my concerns with Nestor, he seemed taken aback, almost as if he assumed I wouldn’t notice the difference in service levels. I was then told that my upgrade to a higher floor would be ready shortly, with the suite potentially available in a few hours or even the next day. I couldn’t fathom the idea of a room taking a day and a half to clean.
Strike 2 - More Disappointment (Bad food and Service)
Next came the dining experience, which proved to be another letdown. While waiting for our room to be ready, we decided to have lunch at the hotel around 3:30 PM. Despite the bar being largely empty, the bartender barely acknowledged our presence. The food we ordered was disappointing, with my fiancé returning her cold fries and distasteful drink. We ended up spending $96 on a lackluster meal of cold burgers and less-than-acceptable drinks—definitely not what I expected from a resort that is supposed to be of luxury caliber.
At 6 PM, we received a golf cart to take us to our room on the higher floor. Yet again, I was met with disappointment; the room had a water smell and appeared a bit worn.
I was extremely exhausted and had just fallen asleep after my shower when my fiancé woke me up, visibly upset, with a text notification stating that we would not be receiving the upgrade as promised.
Strike 3—Time to Go!
We quickly put on our shoes and made our way to the front desk, but Nestor was already off for the day. We encountered Uriel, the front desk manager, and once again explained our situation and the conflicting information we received. Uriel stated that an upgrade wasn’t possible, which led us to request a refund so we could leave the next day. He then stated he needed to discuss it with his manager. After a brief conversation, to our surprise, Uriel returned with an offer of a complimentary buffet breakfast and a promise of an upgraded suite for the following day. His sincere apology was a small consolation, and we reluctantly agreed to stay.
The next morning, I received yet another text saying they were uncertain when the suite would be ready. I opted to go to breakfast alone since my fiancé was understandably frustrated. Unfortunately, the food was just as disappointing as the previous meal. At that point, I had made my decision—we were leaving! I communicated my desire for a refund for the remaining days to the front desk, and they agreed without much resistance.
We had planned a boat ride, so we went ahead with that. After returning, I finally received a message at 3:20 PM stating that our upgraded suite was ready. Our bags were already packed and car waiting for us to depart.
In hindsight, the best decision I made was to leave the Solaz Resort. We relocated to a different resort where our experience completely changed; the service was impeccable, and the quality of the food was outstanding.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend Solaz Resort Los Cabos. Save yourself the stress and disappointment, and don’t risk ruining a vacation or special occasion due to subpar service and food. I’m now back home in Washington, DC, and felt compelled to share this lengthy review as a warning to others. Our initial trip was for five (5) days and we left after one (1).
Please note, I have yet to receive my refund for the remaining four (4) days I did not stay.

Reviewed Jun 16, 2025My family and I had the absolute BEST experience with BEAM photography at the Solaz hotel. We wanted to take family photos during our recent vacation, and they made the experience easy and fun. The photographer even helped my 3 year old daughter smile and engage in the photo shoot which was truly a surprise! I cannot recommend them enough, loved the final photos and will remember this experience for the rest of our lives.

Reviewed Jun 16, 2025This was our 4th trip to the Solaz. We have been going since 2019 and the hotel is just as good as when it opened in 2019. In fact, the food, staff, and overall experience are better than 6 years ago. A big shout out to Octavio who has continued to enhance our experience from the very beginning!!!! We have stayed at multiple properties in Cabo and Solaz is by far, the best. The accommodations are top notch, the service is as good as a Four Seasons and the propertie's layout is far better than competing resorts. We will certainly return for our 5 visit!

Reviewed Jun 1, 2025We went to Solaz for a family vacation and booked a sunset photo shoot with Gerson. He was very kind and made us all feel very comfortable. He walked us around the property and took amazing photos and then the photoshoot ended with photos on the beach. Two days later, we met with him on property at his office to look at the video and photos he took at which point we chose the package we wanted to buy, prices are very reasonable, you can even purchase individual photos if that is what you want. Also the photoshoot is complimentary just be sure to arrange it when you arrive at the Solaz. Thanks Gerson and your team at BEAM photography for your great work. We love our family photos and the video you captured of the photoshoot! Thank you!

Reviewed May 25, 2025Let’s just say this was my second time visiting Solaz within a calendar year. The first time was for my girl friend’s birthday, and we fell in love with it so much we had to come back and bring our friends! The level of service is 5 Star from check in to our butler Diego who took care of all of us.

Reviewed May 23, 2025This is our third time staying at Solaz Residences. The resort and facilities are first class. Right on the beach and our server Rigoberto was fabulous, serving us margaritas and going above and beyond. We will be back!
We stayed at Tower 1 of the Residences, which were private, peaceful.

Reviewed May 7, 2025I visited Los Cabos over Spring Break ( Late March to Early April). We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite on the first level at Solaz for 5 days. My stay was incomparable to anything I have ever experienced. We had arranged activities with our concierge prior to arrival, which worked out well. We went Snorkeling in La Paz, Boat Fishing, Mountain Biking and Zip Lining. All were fun. My bestie and I prepared tamales with a chef in a Master Chef Class. They were so wonderful and patient. It was great to learn from a chef and use authentic ingredients ( squash blossoms, green chile, etc). The zip lining was very hot at Wild Canyons and be prepared to hike, bring water and money for tipping.
I cannot remark enough about the hotel staff , from the hotel lobby to the restaurants to the servers by the pool, the groundskeepers, maintenance staff, the staff at the market and the restaurants, the bartenders, spa staff and house keeping crew. Everyone was so very cheerful and happy to help us in any way. It was very nice to have people saying 'Buenos Dias' or Good Morning to us and a smile on their face. ( I am not naive, this is their job. )
We dined on the hotel premises on most nights, but went to San Jose del Cabo one night for dinner. The restaurants are top notch with wonderful atmosphere. Al Pairo- absolutely fantastic experience. Wonderfully prepared Mexican food. Knowledgable staff, sommelier was helpful ( Mexican wines were out of this world). I would highly recommend. Mako- wonderful seafood by the ocean. Knowledgable and helpful server and sommelier. Memorable dinner that night. Riccio Di Mare- fare meal, very rich. Wine was delicious. Pool side dining with sea air was relaxing. Sushi restaurant on our last night, was delicious but very expensive for what we ate. We have great sushi where we live in San Diego, so I might have chosen somewhere different instead.
The pools and jacuzzis were peaceful and easily accessible. The pool staff were very attentive and helped you find a place for your family/ party. They set up your chair with towels and moved umbrellas as requested. They were cheerful, courteous and professional. We spent time at each of the pool areas and all staff were extremely professional and attentive.
The swimmable beach in front of the resort was gorgeous. We walked for exercise early in the morning and admired the beautiful coastline each day.
We did not use room service, but our housekeeping crew was impeccable. The room was clean and stocked with coffee, water and chocolates for turn down service. The chocolates are made on site and are so delicious. A sweet treat.
My expectations were surpassed in all aspects. This was a very wonderful, relaxing and beautiful resort. I highly recommend visiting this location if you can. It is worth your time and money.

Reviewed May 5, 2025From the moment you drive through the gate, the whole Solar experience is 5 stars. From the hard working bell men to the check in process to the view you get from the lobby, everything is first class. The room is spacious and modern, but feels timeless and long lasting at the same time. Cabo has many luxury options, but I can’t imagine any being much better than Solaz.

Reviewed Apr 27, 2025Beautiful property with over the top service. Best ocean views to watch the whales from your room in a hammock on the balcony! The pools were excellent. Everywhere we went on the property, someone was there to help make our experience exceptional. Several great food options on property as well. Solaz gave us the relaxing trip we needed.

Reviewed Apr 8, 2025I absolutely loved my stay at Solaz. This was my first ever solo trip and i felt very well looked after Rafael was very attentive and is very welcoming. Has great attention to detail and great foresight when it comes to planning. Much more service than i expected but very much needed. I also enjoyed my photographer with beam photography. He provided me with a photoshoot of a lifetime. I was very pleased with the amount of shots we were able to accomplish and the number of different settings that made me feel confident that i was going to be able to have plenty of photos to choose from. He made me feel very comfortable and relaxed to enjoy being myself and enjoying my time rather than focusing on being perfectly posed. I absolutely enjoy my stay and will definitely return again in the near future. Thanks to all at Solaz for an enjoyable stay. Until next time. ❤️
I agree with another reviewer. This location really was perfect. It was beautiful and the open space of the resort was breathtaking. The architectural design was interesting as well. The timeshare unnecessarily created a rough start making you feel roped into something you didn’t want to hear. I think the resort really should be more up front with guests to see if you’re interested instead of wasting time. Raúl and Raphael took care of us during our stay and they were exceptional. They were friendly, courteous and helpful booking reservations and very attentive to our family’s needs. We really appreciated their services.
The dining however was super disappointing. It was extremely overpriced and most things were underwhelming. The tempura, tortilla chips and pancakes could definitely use some improvement. Traditional veggies were not used for the tempura and without proper description, we were disappointed by the dish. I’m not sure what the deal is with the tortilla chips, but it was too thick and stale tasting throughout the resort. Strangely, we did not enjoy most of the Mexican dishes offered at the resort, which was surprising. With the resort having an air of exclusivity, you would think the local cuisine would reflect perfection. In contrast, the Italian restaurant was the best for dining as well as the room service for breakfast. We could not understand why the restaurant for breakfast was subpar and expensive with long wait times, but the room service was so much better and reasonable in prices. Had we known, we would have ordered room service every morning.
We were a little weirded out that on our third day we found a dead bee on the floor of one of the bedrooms of our ocean view two bedroom suite. Our son is highly allergic to bees, so we carry an epi pen for him. This dead bee was discovered after we had housekeeping done. I had to have my husband clean it up. The housekeeper also left what looked like an empty juice bottle in the kitchen. I’m sure it was just an oversight in her part and perhaps she was thirsty while working. Still, it seemed odd. Also, for night service, the first and last nights we received chocolate truffles. I’m not sure if it’s every other night they offer this complimentary or if we got missed one night. Not a deal breaker, but more baffling if anything.
Overall, our family had a nice stay. However, we were a little irked by guests taking our chairs at the pool and being extremely rude about it despite us tipping for towel service and our personal belongings there. We encountered this a few times by some pretty entitled guests. Something to be aware of.
