Location and room was a good value. Washing machine and small kitchen helps for longer stays.

Would recommend small upgraded touches to help improve overall experience. Top sheet on bed, better hangers, pillow variety, better towels, drying rack for clothes. Not bad, but small things would make a huge difference to visitors. Note washing machine is only wash, no dry

The stairs was challenging being on the top floor with the children. Funny smells but this is to be expected it being an old seaside town.

The location couldn’t be any better!

The bed was rather uncomfortable and it was damp and a tiny bit musty, but it was pretty clean and spacious and had an adorable patio area (for the cafe, but still lovely). It was great to have kitchen amenities too. All in all it was a great place to stay.

The location was excellent. A bit noisy early in the morning but to be expected in a busy area. Overall we were happy with our stay and felt it was fair value for money.

The bathroom window and windowsill was dirty. Some dust on doors. So could benefit from a spring clean and towels could have been better.

The Location was brilliant, we stayed in the apartment on ground level with the court yard just outside our windows which made it dark inside, but the good thing about it was that with the hot weather outside the apartment was lovely and cool and nice and quiet at night, it was clean to an extent but some things need to be improved on.

The apartment needs updating, fresh paint on the walls, the wooden floor was brushed or hoovered but definitely not washed recently, I walked around in my socks in the evening and the bottom of my socks were black when I took them off, the windows had shutters which were clean enough but the window frames were filthy, just a few things that need looking into

The property needs to have fans for circulation. Even with the windows open, the air just felt stale. Parking was a little difficult, but there was a lot close by that had parking later in the afternoon.

We booked the one bedroom apartment, but it was a studio on the ground floor without a separate bedroom. It did not feel very clean. We had to ask the manager to rewash the floors as there was a smell lingering from a previous guest's dog. A lot of the surfaces were quite dusty, I had to clean part of the wall in the bathroom due to cobwebs and a dead spider. The place felt quite damp, and after the floors were washed they did not dry properly during the 2 days we were there. The shower door was broken and nearly came in on top of me when I went to slide it closed. The shower head itself was tied in place as the bracket for sliding it up and down was broken. The kitchen is very poorly equipped. The TV remote did not work. We were there during the Kinsale Arts Weekend, and when we went to leave the apartment on our first morning we found ourselves barricaded in by a stack of tables right in front of our door. We were right next to the courtyard where an event was taking place, and were then looked at crossly for wanting to leave. Also when we returned we had to tiptoe through as there was another performance and it was impossible to get to our apartment without disturbing some of the audience. In both cases we were made to feel it was our fault and we were causing a problem even though we needed access at those specific times and nobody had warned us of the performances.

The location was good but this made it very noisy. The washing machine was broken. Not enough crockery and cutlery for party. The apartment was dirty including the oven and bathroom

Kein warmes Wasser am Waschbecken im Bad. Dusche mit Duchlauferhitzer und wenig Wasser. Extrem schmutziges Badfenster. Haufenweise tote Insekten in der Lampe. Bett direkt an der Wand. Lautes Gebläse vor dem Schlafzimmerfenster. Für diesen stolzen Preis, nicht akzeptabel.

4 flights of stairs, carrying luggage, Very noisy from extractor fans in neighbouring restaurant, didnt turn off until 2am. Host very unhelpful, but the restaurant manager was very apologetic and fans were turned off when restaurant closed at 10pm the following night.

Very dirty in general, wood lice and spiders around all the windows. Sheets and pillows hadn’t been washed very well and had quite a bad smell. Apartment was absolutely freezing on arrival and took a long time to warm up. Apartment itself needs work and maintenance carried out. The paint is in very poor condition and damp is coming in the windows. Never met the owners which indicates how much they don’t care about this property.

Location was very convenient for town access. Not so much for getting your luggage from the rental car to the property. Any personal mobility issues will be an issue.

Liked everything... but one suggestion: when you're sharing a property like this with other friends, one bathroom with no ventilation doesn't work. There was no way to move the air accordingly.

I could not get the shower, TV, internet or microwave to work. Off-sight host only available restrictive hours and unusually surly when I called for assistance on entry upon check-in. Made me not want to call him when everything else important malfunctioned. He refused to partial refund.

Our stay was fine overall however the apartment felt dirty and definitly needed some updates. We were also on the 3rd floor w/ only stairs which would have been helpful information for us as I was traveling with my older parents. Lastly, it was very hot and there were not fans or AC. The host group was great in coming by and ensuring we knew how to open the windows all the way (which we didn't know the night before) but overall didn't make it that much more comfortable. With the windows open it was also very loud which wasn't ideal for sleeping. Other than the location (which is very central) I wouldn't stay here again until they made some updates and did a deep clean.

Had stayed in The Post House on another visit,. Apartment in Kinsale is close to shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and local amenities are all within easy walking distance. It was clean, quiet and had everything I needed in the kitchenette to self cater easily for my short stay. Enjoyed the view of Kinsale main road and harbour from my living area.

The apartment itself was very nice... however the communication with the owner was not very accessible! Also, if you rent a car parking is extremely difficult! overall, the apartment was nice however I think next time I think I would stay at a hotel that offered parking

Location. Beds were comfortable but much of the furniture(toilet seat) was broken. Living room couch, dining table and chair were broken.

L’appartamento puzza di muffa , non è pulito bene , nella finestra del bagno ci sono ragnatele e ho trovato un grosso ragno che si calava sul lavandino . La cosa peggiore però è stata l’aria irrespirabile, a parte che già con le finestre chiuse c’è odore di muffa , ma il problema è quando apri le finestre , proprio sotto le finestre c’è ip rumoroso scarico dell’aria di un grande ristorante di fish and chips , per cui c’è rumore e puzza di fritto e di scarico tutto il giorno , la notte non migliora , gli scarichi si spengono a mezzanotte , per cui prima non c’è verso né di dormire né di respirare aria decente . Onestamente non ci tornerei neanche pagata

The attitude of the owner. We are now in dispute over a late surcharge imposed 4 days after arrival. We were hounded out - despite having paid almost 1100 euros. Booking.com is,aware.

Great location. Appreciated having the kitchen facilities and access to the wonderful cafe. Lovely view of the harbour.

The bathroom window needed cleaning and the microwave didn't work. Loose baseboard in the living room. Cobweb in the bedroom window. Just needs a little TLC.

The apartment was not clean or well equipped. The windows were filthy and didn’t open to let air in….which probably was done to stop the awful smell of cooking coming in from below! Also, the double bed was so close to the wall that you were unable to get out of bed without climbing over the other person. Unfortunately the bed couldn’t be moved as the bedroom was only large enough to be a single room!

Whilst the kitchen was equipped with cooktop, stove, fridge and microwave it was difficult to make easy use of the cooking facilities as very limited selection of plates, bowls, utensils etc. drinking glasses are only plastic which we found very disappointing. Shower door didn’t shut completely so water escaped.

No tea towls or dish cloth, no brush to sweep up as not cleaned during 6 night stay. Shower door and shower head both broken. Bathroom window and sill both filthy, have not been cleaned in a long time. All windows need a good cleaning. Oven was not clean. Stairs and landings need to be cleaned daily.

Location in centre of Kinsale

Grubby and dated with a musty smell that put us off as soon as we opened the door. Lots of flies going through the external entry and in the property itself. Grossly unsuitable for letting, I’m requesting a refund.

The bath smelled and the floor was dirty. The living room couch was broken and there were dirty socks and cat toys on the floor. I am requesting a refund.

Nice sized apartment in great location, excellent responsiveness. Only suggestion is to make parking instructions more clear.

Well located, right in the heart of the town.

Room had a musty smell. Kitchen was poorly stocked insofar as cooking utensils. No tea towel provided. Bedroom didn’t really fit the double bed; impossible to get round one side. One of us had to climb over the other. Broken and thus unusable washing machine. Floor not very clean- huge amount of dust under the bed.

Location is perfect

Very small room with the bed against wall. Windows, floors and the floor under the bed are extremely dusty. Lots of cobwebs also. We are both young but are allergic to dust and had to use antihistamines due to small, musty apartment with no ventilation. The cleanliness needs to be addressed.

Overall the stay was good. Parking was an absolute nightmare however. We spent at least an hour and a half every day looking for parking. Otherwise it was great

Bed a little short if you are above 180 cm. The patio is dirty with disgusting bird shit - staff could easily use 5 minuttes to clean that away (photo)
