Reviewed Sep 23, 2025I stopped here last year for night and found it to be reasonably priced and clean, and the owner very friendly and accommodating (told me to park my motorcycle under the canopy to stay out of the rain). She also gave me a dinner recommendation (chinese) that was right across the road and did not disappoint, despite the exterior condition of the premises. On this trip, I was travelling with my wife and this was my first choice. The owner even moved her vehicle so we could park both bikes under the canopy. It's an older motel in average condition, but it's clean and priced right.

Reviewed Aug 26, 2025Christine was very receptive and the check-in took less than 5 minutes. We arrived on motorcycles and were offered covered parking to keep our equipment sheltered and safe. The hotel is an older facility but the room was very clean and the beds extremely comfortable. The only downside was it is next to a highway and we experienced a slight inconvenience with large trucks passing by but it didn't hinder our sleep in the comfy beds. There is nothing this property could do to change that other than the local police enforcing the speed. Oh, lastly .. it was great value in comparison to the rest of the half a dozen motels in Cache Creek, which all happen to be on this busy strip.

Reviewed Jun 29, 2025The check in was awesome, thanks to Christine who was welcoming and super helpful. She even showed me two rooms with different layouts so I could choose..I stayed three nights since I was checking out McAbee Fossil Beds nearby (highly recommend!) and my entire stay was comfortable, quiet, and easy. The Riverside is located within easy range of a gas station, grocery stores, and library and within a short drive (5 minutes) of Horstings Farm Market which offers fresh produce, ready made food, made to order sandwiches, cinnamon buns and excellent coffee and matcha drinks. Christine at Riverside also offers bottled water and ramen-style soup for sale (very inexpensive) in the lobby for people who arrive too late or who prefer to prepare something in the room. My room had a fridge and microwave, mugs, AC, and was very quiet at night. If I come back to Cache Creek I would definitely stay again in this modest but clean and welcoming motel. Front desk staff and cleaning staff were warm, friendly and pleasant and very professional.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2025Under the bed was not vacuumed, the toilet flusher is broken and shower head needs replacing, these are minor and did not bother me. Even though the highway is right beside it was quiet. The air conditioner worked great and was not overly loud. I was disappointed there was no ice for drinks although next door is a gas station I could purchase a big bag if I wanted to. There are no vending machines, food or ice at the motel but there is a convenience store next door The beds were comfortable and clean and I had a good night's sleep. Theres a microwave, fridge and coffee machine which I always appreciate. We had our miniature dashund dog in our room and for us that was important, the owners are very pet friendly and laid back. I would stay there again if I'm in the area.

To top it off, I had just come from 3 nights at the Fairmont, Whistler. Is everything sparkly & new, no. Are the rooms spotlessly clean, comfortable, & everything you need, absolutely. Great and convenient location with lots of parking. I'd stay there again without a doubt.

Its close to highway so while convenient to get to may be noisy for some people.. it did not bother us. The motel exterior is well lit at night as is the parking. The owner had left the room key in the mailbox for us, nice touch, she did arrive about 10 minutes later. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Receptionist would only allow two extra packets of the poor quality coffee even though the coffee was so weak two were required in an attempt to make it drinkable. The motel is so close to the highway & so poorly insulated we heard traffic noise throughout the night.
