It was great for last minute accommodation.

The beds were very soft and the single beds were on wheels that was annoying. The shower has mould all over the shower head and the side of it was held together with duck tape and no extractor fan

We loved how big the room was and the bed was very comfortable

The fact we couldnt watch Netflix or youtube ( upgrade tvs) We wantad to cook but had no frying pan or oven dish to use. Otherwise nice stay and very lovely people. Price is good too 😊

Restaurants on site even though three things on the menu weren't available. Air-conditioning in the room. The master room was lovely. Appreciated the sky sports.

Mould on the shower head. And no bathroom fan and bathroom shower was tapped up on one side. Both single beds seemed lop sided

Nice situation, close to town & reasonably quiet & reasonably cheap. The reception staff & cleaning staff were pleasant... I guess, at the end of the day, you get what you pay for, though...

We had stayed once before, at this motel, 2 yrs ago...it was the main reason, we decided to stay again, this time, as it had been a lovely unit for a great price. Not our experience this time, unfortunately. A very disappointing stay....a dark, dismal & dated room, looking very neglected...there was no tv remote, & broken security locks on the window. The shower was disappointing, low pressure, & dated.....the list goes on. The gardens around our unit were full of long grass & weeds, although it had nice plants among them. We advised cleaning staff, on departure, re remote & broken locks, who said they would let the management know. We would not consider staying there, again, unfortunately.

A fairly basic and dated place but it is good value, clean, secure and had comfy beds. So totally happy with the sum of that. Would stay again.

The shower was zip tied to the rail. The shower glass was duct taped to stay on. The room smelt mouldy n damp The kitchenette’s microwave was falling apart same with the fridge. And clean the filter on the heatpump that was horrendous!

A lock box for a key would have been good however I understand it is probably a safety issue or something

3rd stay this year and still the same as the last 2 visits. It is always clean, was lovely to see the change to the mink blankets for the colder weather. We had a middle unit so during the day it was filled with sun and in the afternoon, we closed the curtains to keep the warmth in, didn't need the heat pump. Staff are lovely and the facilities are good bang for your buck. Easy to find and navigate. Very much enjoy our little corner of the world when staying here. Will be back again after winter.

The beds this time around were quite fluid, every roll felt like you would roll off the bed but perfect density. The neighbours on our first night were very noisy and their visitors were using other unit's parks. No issue of the Lodge, but not ideal. We only received 1 replacement towel after our first night opposed to the 2, we left to be collected.

This was my second stay at the Vista, and once again it was faultless. The room was clean, tidy, and well equipped with everything I needed. Fresh towels were provided daily, which was a nice touch. The beds were very comfortable, with both a large bed and a single available, I ended up sleeping in both over my three-night stay. I was coming and going before dawn and after dark, and the property always felt safe, comfortable, and easy to access. It’s conveniently located close to everything, always accessible, and the staff are genuinely lovely. I’ll definitely be trying the restaurant next time.

The rooms overlooking the river need better window security. It would be nice to have locks on all the windows so they can be opened for airflow or airing out the room without feeling uneasy about safety. On my last stay there were no window locks at all, and this time only one window had a lock. Aside from this, everything else was great.

The photos of unfamiliar Māori ancestors displayed on the wall facing the beds felt quite unsettling. Additionally, the fridge was leaking badly, and there was no milk provided, which was disappointing

Great place for a motorcyclist, parking outside the room.

It was a large room with a queen bed and a twin. Plenty room to unpack bags. Restaurant on site. Easy walk over the bridge to more restaurants. Quiet location. Good parking. Has mini-fridge. Our travel plans changed and we booked a second night.

It’s an older facility so it’s a little tired, especially the bathroom.

The staff were wonderful, accommodating of our large group, very helpful and gave us great suggestions. Cheap drinks at the restaurant, which also seemed to have decent meals. Clean and tidy rooms.

The door to the bathroom jammed, the bathroom seemed quite run down and needed updating. Single beds were very bouncy - they sort of sank down when you sat or slept on them.

All staff were amazing from check in, to check out. The property was clean and very tidy. Simple but had everything we needed including an aircon, a great wee fridge and a TV with Sky. The beds were supper comfortable, rooms were soundproof and kept cool during the day and warm at night. Pillows were PERFECT. The room was exactly what was listed, next time we will stay in a kitchenette unit.

We had to use the bathroom sink for water and weren't provided a scrubbing brush or dishwasher liquid to wash our own dishes. The cleaner we spoke to was lovely enough to wash and return them for us. Super grateful for that. Our room type opened up to a back street so we couldn't leave the curtains or windows open.

An old fashion motel yet excellent. The unit was impeccable, clean, spacious, functinal, very quite. Very very friendly staff.

The ONLY thing was, we were expecting to eat at the rrestaurant Friday night, but it worked out fine as we went into town.

Staff very welcoming and helpful. Bed linen nice and white. Super large fridge freezer. Nice roomy studio.

A bit petty, 2 wine glasses different sizes. Bathroom toiletries, only a shower wall dispenser not sure what was in it.

The pool

We staued for 5 days, not once was our room vacumed, we had to ask staff for new towels. Was not the room we thought we booked.

Great location. Convenient to the town centre. Rooms are comfortable. Aircon in the room we stayed in and the kitchen was a great size for families.

The room could do with an upgrade. In particular the bathrooms/showers.
