We chose this accommodation due to the late arrival from the airport and also near the Negombo fish market.

I have read some reviews saying the noise and smells from the window due to the location near the fish market. In fact, I realised it is not because of the location. It is actually from the bathroom drainage. They need to do some drainage unblock work. I shower after my husband, the water didn't flow down quick enough. We check in right after 12am due to late night flight. They provide us gate passwords, but the ground floor has no lighting at all. It was a bit scary to go up if you are a single female. Lucky our pick me driver was very kind, he waited for us to open the gate to confirm we were safe, only he left. The Roman blind is not fully covered at the side windows. If it is during day time, I'm not sure someone walking past the window can see through the curtain gap.

Did not like: Not having a sachet of coffee and milk powder .simple thing annoyed me at night..i liked the place.

Place was good

Our second stay at the canoe before flying out of the country. Lovely room and bathroom with toiletries and some drinking water included. We had a very late flight the next day and the host let us stay past check out for a small fee which was very generous and useful! Highly recommend for a stay near the airport.

Property was clean and bathroom and spacious. Was next to a supermarket making it easy to get water and snacks and was only a 20 minute tuk tuk from the airport

The local area was a little far from the main beach and other locals cafes and restaurants.

Not very clean and window blinds did not cover full window so other people of the hotel could look in if they wanted to.

・バスターミナルやスーパーが近く、移動途中の短期滞在に最適なロケーション。 ・部屋は清掃が行き届き、ドライヤー、wifi、エアコン、シャワーも快適に使えた。 ・共有スペースに椅子やテーブルが置いてあり、ビールと料理を買って来て食べることができた。 ・建物の3階と4階に位置します。スタッフの常駐はないが、階下の店の人が連絡を取ってくれスムーズにチェックインできた。 ・宿の入り口はオートロックで開ける時はルームキーをかざすので、防犯面も問題なし。

よくなかった点はありません。以下を理解の上で滞在してください。 ・スリランカでよくある廊下に窓がある構造なのでカーテンを全開にすると部屋が丸見えになる。 ・冷蔵庫は置いていません。

水回りが清潔でお湯もちゃんと出ました。立地がよく、空港から車で約20分、ネゴンボのバスターミナルまでも徒歩圏内です。

朝早くにチェックアウトすると誰もいませんでした。支払いも現金のみです。

Hele vriendelijke mensen, schone en ruime kamers. Ligt dichtbij een weg, maar daar merk je eigenlijk niks van. Aanrader!

Fairly Morden and clean

There was no one there when we arrived except for someone working on some construction, it felt a bit like a ghost town. I guess they are maybe doing some work but we weren’t sure if it was really open?

Our stay was short, but we enjoyed it. The room was clean & comfortable. We were well welcome, even if we arrived in the middle of the night. I recommend this place.

Good size rooms, clean, comfy beds. Be aware several flights of stairs up to property. We were first set of guests to arrive, and so given the option of which rooms we wanted.

Great host family.run business.incredibly accommodating with advice, rides to/from airport in the early morning hours, and great conversation. Really nice breakfast included. Very clean, comfortable and spacious room and bathroom with outside balcony sitting area. Market across the street for all of your needs and variety of stores in the area. Walking distance to fish market area and many restaurants, shops. Quick ride to many beachside shops/restaurants. We will return to the Canoe for our last stop before leaving Sri Lanka!

View is of the market across the street, but convenient and still private as the rooms are upstairs.

A spacious, clean room with aircon and attached bath. There's a space to lounge right outside the room. There are only a total of 5 rooms that the owner himself maintains and oversees so he pays attention to detail. The entire space is locked away from the rest of the building with a security locked door so you do feel secure too. The owner is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is amazing!!! Simple English breakfast that was the best breakfast we've had so far across all our 4 stays in Srilanka.

There is no lift or elevator. Given that the rooms are on the second floor this can be a hassle for some. We were wondering how to get our luggage upstairs but the owner ensured that it was taken care of too. He even got everything down when we checked out.

We booked a transfer from the airport to the hotel. Owner waited for us outside the terminal and everything went very smooth. Hotel is small but cute. Great location.

Good location if you need to sleep over close to the airport. The room was quite spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very kind and friendly.

Our room was towards the street, so it was a bit noisy. However, I saw they also have room towards the other side, so maybe good to request it if you are a light sleeper.

The place is very close to the airport which was very important for me. The owner also helped me to get to the airport for my early morning flight. There is a supermarket in front of the hotel in case you would like to shop locally. Room was big and clean. Good place for short stay.

My windows were facing the terrace so I had to have my blades down all the time for the privacy.

Amazing hotel with a perfect location close to the center and attractions. The rooms were exceptionally clean and modern, with great attention to comfort and detail. I arrived very late and the owner knew but he didn’t have the lights on so it was hard to find and a bit scary at first.

Huge modern room, was one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in during our month trip. We loved it. Hot water with good pressure, massive comfy bed, easy check in and check out process, really good AC. Everything must have been completed recently as everything looked new and very clean. Would 100% recommend

Property was very clean. Looks like it had just been remodelled and updated. The owner was so lovely and welcoming, we were given plenty of bottled water on arrival. Only a 10min drive from the airport and right opposite was a big supermarket. Although it’s near a main road, the rooms are so quiet. Highly recommend this stay.

Great communication and nice hosts. Felt very welcome. Good location if you wanna stay close to the airport. We just stayed one night to catch our flights the next morning, but the room was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was new and modern with a hot shower! So all in all great value for your money.

The room was awesome. Completely renovated and super stylisch. We could get easy from there with a tuktuk to the airport (~15 minutes). The owner was lovely and really friendly. You can have a good chat with him =)

Close to airport and pick up was easy to arrange. Room was clean and cool and and bed was comfortable! It is also close to a BIG supermarket which is super convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Happy that breakfast was provided with fruit as one less thing to sort out! Would be great to do simple sri lankan breakfast with Hoppers and egg or plain hopper with Jam. Also with fruit which they do already :)

Located in Negombo town in walking distance from train station (as I was coming from Colombo). Nice room. Big supermarket across the road. Pretty short ride / distance to the airport. Host offered transfer to airport.

The host was very nice. The room was spacious and clean, had different useful commodities. There is a big supermarket in front of the building.

It was quite noisy because the building is on a very busy road. We saw a huge cockroach in the bathroom. Breakfast was disappointing compared to the food we had in the other places we stayed at in Sri Lanka.

Has a super mall in-front of the property. V clean. Things seems new. Had hot water. Breakfast was great and Owner was friendly.

There is no sign to knw the property until u see up above to 4th floor as this is an apartment rooms on 3,4 th floor rest of building is other office and unfinished stalls. There is no elevator, i had to carry my heavy bags all the way to 4 th floor. The place look unfinished paint cans and other construction materials at some corners kept nicely organized. The room AC shuts off as u remove the key card and when u return room exhausted and going up stares sweating, u will have to wait for 15 mins for room to get cool down. There is no rack or cupboard to keep ur cloths in. Only shampoo bottles were kept in shower no soap or shower jell. To be honest for that pice not worthy the hustle and sweat if u ar in a transit for a night or too.

Super friendly host. He picked us up from the airport at 3am in the morning for just 11$. Very comfy bed!

We stayed here for one night. The staff was our highlight there. The airline lost our backpack, so the staff helped with phonecalls and connections to the airport staff. The room was clean, the restaurant is cute and you have everything you need.

It’s on the crossroad, very loudy If you use Negombo as stop before flight, better choose Colombo. Negombo is very dirty unpleasant city

The property was very clean. Easily accessible with a supermarket right across the street. Good air con and wifi working perfectly fine. The owner was really friendly and very helpful with my next travel arrangements

It was very quiet at the time that I went, it almost felt like an air BnB, I’m sure I was the only guest at the time, the quiet was nice, only thing is, as a solo traveller it would’ve been nice feeling another presence around.

The location is perfect. It is very convenient to go from airport. The property is so well designed. Loved the balcony. Stayed there for one night only. Wish to go there again. The owner Mr. Rohan & his wife is such a amazing host and nicest humans. Loved chatting with them.
