Our room was exceptionally clean and everything was very modern and well kept. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly.

仕方ないのですが、 残念ながらキャンセルが承認していただけなかったこと。4人の宿泊予定が1日は3人に、1日は2人になってしまったのですが、配慮していただけなかったのは残念でした。

Our stay at MIMARU Kyoto Nijo Castle was absolutely wonderful. Everything was excellent, from the facilities to the location, and the staff were always kind, friendly, and welcoming. The location was perfect, and we found it to be an especially comfortable and convenient place for a family to stay in Kyoto. The facilities were excellent and made our stay very enjoyable. We gave a 9 out of 10 for cleanliness—not because the property wasn’t clean, but because there was not much regular cleaning on days other than the ones we specifically requested. Since our children have allergies, this was a little challenging for us. However, whenever we requested cleaning, the staff were very helpful and did an excellent job. Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay. If we visit Japan again, we would definitely choose to stay with MIMARU again. Thank you very much to the entire team for your kindness, care, and wonderful hospitality. We truly appreciate it!

I came here with my family of 5. Coming from US and arriving in a Japan can be a disorienting experience. the staff at Mimaru helped us to feel at home and settle in. They gave us help to get taxis, show us where to go and where to eat. The first day we were there, the layout of the room I had picked was too tight for 5 people. the staff were super accommodating to work with us to get into another room that suited our needs. The rooms are very well decorated, clean and efficient. The washer and dryer worked very well. Which wasn't my experience at other places. I would definitely stay here again with my family.

Our room was very spacious and clean. The beds were also comfortable. We had a laundry machine and kitchenette that were also well functioning.

The location is not very central. Also the hallways are outdoors so there would be bugs around our entryway.

Great Location. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The Nijo Castle ticket promotion was an added bonus. An easy walk to Nijo Castle. Also, there is a local market just a few blocks from the hotel. Cafe Bogota for breakfast next to the hotel was wonderful! Very relaxing. The HUGE Nishiki market is about a 15-20 minute easy walk from hotel. Teramachi Street and Shinkyogoku Street markets are also adjacent to Nishiki. Lots of high end shopping and restaurants are also nearby. We spend 1 day exploring Kyoto and 1 day in Osaka before heading out by train to Hiroshima. The Mimaru Luggage Service was amazing. We had a typhoon come through at the end of our stay and the hotel staff was very helpful. They held our luggage, gave us some very sound advice and had all of our suitcases($20/suitcase) delivered to our next hotel on-time with no issues, and kept us informed during the whole process. Very convenient and highly recommend!

Everything was wonderful, but if they run any more promotions (like the Nijo Castle ticket promo), a tea ceremony in Kyoto would be welcome!

Es hat aus dem Bad gestunken ( nicht definierbar ob Dusche Waschmaschine oder WC)...nicht weil ich empfindlich bin. Es roch nicht als wir ankamen, aber über Nacht oder wenn wir tagsüber weg waren hat sich ein sehr unangenehmer Geruch ausgebreitet trotz eingeschalteter Klimaanlage.Ich habe dies 2mal gemeldet und es wurde wohl nachgeschaut, geändert hat es leider nichts. Das ist leider ein gravierierebder Minuspunkt der den Aufenthalt sehr getrübt hat

Stayed with my husband and two 20-something kids. The space worked well for us, the kitchenette was great, and loved having a washer/dryer in the bathroom. The location was also fabulous, walking distance to many sites and short taxi and train rides to others. Staff was so friendly and helpful.

Only a few *small* inconveniences, notable mostly because of the contrast to another Mimaru location we stayed at in Tokyo. We would have preferred four beds instead of having to fold up futons to use the “living space.” The traditional short and small table was challenging to use. A frosted shower door would have created a bit more privacy in the bathroom. Still, loved our stay and would return for subsequent visits!

Helpful staff. Walkable location. Close to 7eleven. Spacy. There are places to put your luggage in the room. Somehow the room was easy to tidy up. Washing machine was a really good one.

Beds were too firm for scoliosis-kiphosis backs. There was a scent smell after they cleaned the rooms. Hot water was not as hot.

I loved everything about the MIMARU Kyoto Nijo Castle. I originally booked primarily for the convenience of having a washer/dryer available, but that pales into insignificance when compared with everything else the hotel offers. The staff were amazing - friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, excellent English, and willing to provide insights into any questions I had. The location is superb, the room was beyond what I was expecting - large, spotlessly clean, with all the facilities you could want. The information available from the hotel for attractions nearby was hugely appreciated. I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Kyoto (and I am definitely coming back!), and would highly recommend the MIMARU Kyoto Nijo Castle to anyone considering visiting this amazing city.

畳があり、部屋も広くて過ごしやすかった。洗濯機が部屋についているのも有難い。トイレと風呂が別々になっているのも嬉しいポイント

Loved our stay! The family apartment is huge and it was so nice closing the door between the living room and bedroom. There's a decent size kitchenette and living room, and a huge shower room and bathroom/laundry area combination. The entryway was the biggest we had in Japan which is helpful when you have four people going in and out, and there's a decent amount of storage for clothing including hangers and drawers, as well as a cupboard under the TV. The in-room laundry worked like a charm and we used it nearly every day. We also used luggage forwarding and it was easy and smooth. The staff were wonderful, always helpful, cheerful and friendly, and provided lots of information for whatever we needed. I was leery about taking the bus but it was so easy and there are several routes that are just outside the hotel, so getting to and from was not a hassle. Bonus was the water station (with options for different temperatures) by the front desk for guests to fill up their water bottles.

The mattresses were pretty creaky and lumpy. The vacuuming wasn't overly thorough; removing the carpet would have been better for cleanliness. It's a bit of a walk from any grocery store and the corner market, and about 15 minutes to walk to Nishiki Market, but I'd stay here again.

The rooms at Mimaru are perfect for families, we had two interconnecting rooms with plenty of space and sleeping options for a family of 5. The hotel is in a good location, with short walks to transport and to Kyoto castle. There are plenty of food options nearby, including supermarkets.

Appartamento spazioso, luminoso, pulito, ordinato e funzionaloe.Grande area tatami con tavolino, sedie e all' occorrenza futon, comodissimo per noi che abbiamo viaggiato con una bimba di due anni.Staff disponibilissimo e carinissimo, la nostra bimba ha avuto la febbre durante il soggiorno e le hanno fatto un pensierino con un bigliettino carinissimo.La zona della struttura è comodissima per spostarsi, e comoda per i servizi.

Our room was clean and well-appointed. We love the shower room and Toto Washlet. The in-room washer/dryer was a huge bonus as we were able to run the laundry while we were busy sightseeing. The location was excellent. The best part were the staff, who were kind and helpful during our stay.

Beautiful doesn’t even begin to describe this place. The apartment was incredibly comfortable and spotlessly clean. Everything was excellent—from the facilities to the overall experience. The staff were attentive, kind, and always ready to help. The location is also very convenient. Truly spectacular in every way—we would absolutely stay here again!

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. Staying at Mimaru for 4 nights really goes very well. They have a really clean room with complete kitchen appliance, and the most important is a washing machine in the room that could wash & dry. Actually, Mimaru hotel is one of my wishlist for staying at Japan. Really happy it came true. As for the staff, they are so nice and very helpful. They have staff from indonesia, so we dont have a difficulty in communicating. Really hope we could came back again to Mimaru hotel.

空気洗浄機を付ける時、テレビ裏のコンセントを使用しましたが、埃があり気になりました。

スタッフの方が親切。 あらかじめ必要な物を用意してくれていた。 部屋が快適。バスルームとトイレが分かれているのも良い。

Great location, great facilities especially with young children (possibility to have a crib, a baby chair, etc), very nice staff. Well equipped and organized apartment.

A little bit noisy, we could hear noise from the street quite strongly, even on the 10th floor.

Les chambres sont propres, confortables et agreables et les equipementa fonctionnent bien. Le personnel parle anglais et est très sympathique et serviable. Très bien situé pour visiter le Château Nijo, le Palais et des rues marchandes.

Pas de petit dej. Mais les chambres ont des cuisines donc pas très grave non plus.

위치가 식당가랑 조금 멀었어요. 걸어가면12분, 버스타러가는데 5분이라 그냥 걸어 다니긴 했어요. 그외에 호텔자체는 매우 깨끗하고, 화장실도 깨끗하고, 침구도 편안했습니다. 직원들도 엄청 친절하고, 늘 웃고 계셨습니다. 나중에 체크아웃할때는 신년이라고 작은 선물도 주셨어요. 오사카에서는 다른 호텔에서 묵었는데, 같은 체인 오사카 지점들도 많아서 묵을걸 그랬다며 아쉬워했습니다. 왠만한 4성급호텔보다 더 좋았어요. 깨끗하고 깔끔한데 호텔이라기 보다는 엄청깨끗한 투룸 느낌? 주방도 있고, 욕실 한켠에 세탁기가 있어서 너무 잘 썼습니다. 가족여행에 매우 추천하고 싶습니다!!

위치가, 아주 도심지 중심은 아니에요. 그러나 거리가 멀지않아 택시로 이동하면 큰 어려움은 없었습니다.

A lovely hotel with helpful staff. The room was for 5 and might have been ok if kids were toddler ages. But for my teen and tweens and all the luggage we couldn’t fit and had to pay for an extra room. Luckily there was one!! The pillows were like bricks but that’s about the only negative. Authentic yet modern vibe.

The concierge was very polite and helpful. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The kids loved the bunk beds! Everything in the room was immaculate. The washer/dryer was easy to use and helpful to have in the room.
