We couldn’t fault our stay. Our rooms opened out into a gorgeous courtyard where we could sit and chat. Rooms were stunning. We had evening meal and breakfast both so good! Can’t wait to stay again

Very pleasant stay, bathroom shower was exceptional, comfortable bed and well sized room and bathroom. Staff very friendly and responsive.

It was a bit out of the way, nothing else nearby (walking distance) but plenty to see and do after a short drive.

Ett " boutique värdshus", omsorgsfullt inrett, ombonat och mycket trivsamt. Personalen uppmärksam och mån om att gästen är nöjd. Många goda rätter att välja till frukost och middagen var utsökt. I rummet allt som man väntar sig i ett hotellrum, men också skön musik(radio!), strykjärn samt -bräda, stor fläkt, kaffemaskin.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Darren. Room was very nicely furnished and comfortable. Food very fresh and good quality. Location was ideal for walking the Thames Path.

Breakfast was rather slow possibly because the staff were busy preparing for a wedding. A couple of minor points in the room; a leaking shower and badly fitting plug in the basin but not much of an inconvenience.

We stayed here as a couple with our one year old for the bank holiday weekend as a celebratory getaway before I go back to work and she starts nursery. Our room was gorgeous and had everything we needed. The cot and mattress protector provided were comfy and extremely clean for my daughter. Our bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of fresh towels, storage space and tea and coffee making facilities. The location was perfect for travelling around the locations we wanted in the Cotswolds. The room was clean and was cleaned both mornings we stayed whilst we were out for the day. Couldn’t fault the room, the staff or the location. My daughter loved the open space outside and seeing the river. We had complimentary drinks when arriving and for our journey home which was a lovely touch. We had breakfast included both mornings and there were plenty of options with very good coffee. The American style pancakes with bacon and maple syrup were delicious!!! Hannah and her team are a credit to the pub and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The Sunday dinner was very overpriced for what you are given. Myself and my partner ordered Beef and Chicken Dinner. I couldn’t eat mine, the chicken was watery and the veg was limited and hard. We booked for 5:30pm dinner and they had already ran out of cauliflower cheese. However every other meal we ate here including breakfast both days and a steak dinner the night before were all exceptional and would return for these meals. The only thing the room is missing for us was a small fridge as we needed milk for our daughter to be cool over night ready for the morning. However the hotel did provide us with it every night but the kitchen / breakfast area didn’t open until 8am the next morning to get anymore and couldn’t keep it cool in the room. Other than this - exceptional!!! :) thanks again!

The location was great, very quiet and remote, with a nice restaurant and terrace. Very friendly staff, wonderful homemade breakfast, and a nicely decorated room. We felt very good staying there with my wife and 2-year-old, and we recommend eating there for dinner!

A connected TV would be great to allow children to watch children's content. The room was quite clean overall, but it was a bit dusty here and there.

I was not offered to eat breakfast in teepee with my dog, other guests ate in a dining room. Bar area being vacuumed and floor mopped while I ate breakfast with my dog. Very meagre amounts of fruit, yoghurt and short on croissants/pastries at breakfast buffet, this was poor, a let down and needs improving, cooked omelette very nice and cooked breakfast was ok but not the best.

No air conditioning in the room which made it very uncomfortable to sleep / didn’t sleep well at all. Air conditioning is a must now considering the yearly heatwaves Would have preferred another way of making a coffee in the room.. the machines are a faf! Can’t walk into the town from here which is a shame

The staff were very welcoming. We were offered a drink, and taken to our room once checked in. The room was slightly small but very tastefully decorated, with a well equipped room and bathroom. We had the bonus of a super king bed and a coffee machine. The bedding and towels were very good quality and the food was excellent. At breakfast they covered everyone's tastes and the omelette was the best I have ever tasted. We were offered a complimentary fruit smoothie and the setting was so calming. We wouldn't hesitate in staying again. Thank you so much.

Liegestühle oder ähnliche Möglichkeiten zum entspannten Verweilen wären toll, die Anlage bietet auf jeden Fall das Potential dazu. Die Röstintensität der Brote war teilweise etwas zu stark, kann man wegschneiden, wenn man weiß, wie ungesund dies ist, es erst gar nicht soweit kommen zu lassen, wäre für die Gesundheit aber eine sehr gute Sache.

The Location is great, staff very attentive

Food was excellent as was the choice. On the one day the grill was closed was due to the oppressive heat but despite that all the staff were full of smiles!

The heat was oppressive but nothing the pub could do about that. Given the way the weather is going air conditioning has to be installed for the future.

Wonderful location next to the river. The inn had a wonderful tipi tent so that you could eat outside in this wonderful weather at the moment. Rooms were clean and had Bramley shower gel, soap and shampoos. Manager and staff really friendly.

The absolutely beautiful room we stayed in.so many extras. There is so much space outside, I only need some playground for kids to play. Food was good, lots of effort for the breakfast. Complimentary drink was provided. Plenty of space in the car park.

I forgot to mention we are asthmatic and can react to dog smells. In our room was left a dog bed and we could feel the smell of a wet dog. All the hotels were booked and we couldn't change the room.

Third time staying at The Trout and its fantastic, a beautiful place to stay, great staff wonderful food. I highly recommend the Trout at Tadpole Bridge.

The location and the layout of the facilities. The staff were very attentive, polite and friendly. They were very busy as bank holiday weekend and were still very professional.

The food menu was limited and the dinner did not really offer small bites , it would be good for options here like chicken wings , pizza etc.

Very good location for walking the Thames Path. Nice historic building with a very good breakfast, easy parking, and a comfortable bed.

The room felt a bit dated, and there were not many vegetarian options available for dinner.

Radiator was on in bedroom and we couldn’t turn it off however a member of staff came quickly and fixed it for us. Sadly the river is not good and you cannot go in which is nothing to do with the hotel!

Staff were nice and attentive, both dinner and breakfast were excellent, well equipped room, interiors and comfort outstanding. Great atmosphere in pub….enjoyed our stay!

We spent a few wonderful days at The Trout at Tadpole Bridge. A perfect stay to explore the area between the Cotswolds and Oxford. So many things to do and see. The room was perfect (because of a minor issue with the bathroom in the booked room we switched to another room right over the backyard, thanks again to the very nice and always helpful manager) and spacious, the bed comfy and the food - breakfast and dinner - delicious.

Room was a luxurious indulgence. Super king sized bed, high quality bedding. The staff were very busy as we arrived on bank holiday, but they were polite and helpful.

Breakfast service was slow - fortunately we weren't in a huge hurry to get away. Fruit platter was fairly average but smashed avo on sourdough with poached eggs was fabulous. Overall a great stay.

A gorgeous, large room with excellent dining.

A Staffing Issue on B/H Sunday, caused extra stress to the Staff. Which did reflect on their Customer Service. Team Leaders/managers worked hard in damage limitation but, the damage was done. Oh, & there was a drainage issue in the Shower/Bathroom.

The room was a perfect retreat, outside the bar in a courtyard. We thought we might be kept awake with drinkers outside but it was very quiet. Dinner was great, not cheap but very good. Staff were friendly and attentive. What a place to stay - we had our early morning coffee on the river bank watching the sunrise. An unforgettable Thames experience.

The only note was that the breakfasts didn’t hit the quality of the dinner food. Nothing wrong per se, but the service and food just felt a little lacklustre in comparison to dinner service. But I'm nitpicking.

All the staff were incredibly warm and attentive throughout our stay. Both the Sunday roast and breakfast were great meals. The rooms have been done to a high standard and include little touches like the radio being on when you enter just instantly makes you feel relaxed!

Such an incredible stay! It is such good value for money, the rooms are gorgeous, the pub has a great atmosphere and is also so beautiful and rustic. The plant-based breakfast was delicious, the staff were very kind and attentive. The Sunday roast was sublime. Really couldn't recommend this more, we will be back every year for sure!
