Shades of Arrowtown

Location great very close to shops

Such a warm welcome, absolute gem of a find! Loved our stay and would definitely stay again if we’re lucky enough to return. Thank you!

Nothing!

Lovely location. Terrific water pressure. Pleasant hostess.

The location was so good! Short walk to the main shops but still in a quiet spot. Staff were welcoming and helpful - plus they had an incredibly cute and well-behaved dog who was very friendly. Would definitely stay again!

It was all great! No negatives

Kitchen in the spare bedroom

Location, quiet, quaint

Room was tiny but we made it work. No shower gel supplied

Everything

We have stayed before. Love the relaxed feel and comfort of the motel. I don't know the ladies name that is there but she is so lovely and very approachable if anything would be required.

Literally in town. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure was great. The facilities in the room were tidy and worked well.

It was a lovely stay. Very warm and comfortable. Lovely owners. Location was perfect

Nothing

Situation very good. Quaint property. Suited our needs very well. Would definitely recommend to others.

Warm, basic accommodation with what is required,. shower could use some attention, we mentioned this. Couch could do with couple more cushions. Heating very efficient.

Exceptional staff. Brenda was very helpful. Our car battery died and she instantly came up with help. Very clean rooms.

Nice and close to town

Location

Great for what we wanted

A beautiful stay in a lovely historic town. Great location, brilliant value.

I had an excellent day at shades of air town, Motel. The cottage was charming, comfortable, and very clean. The location was perfect, and close the Main Street with easy access to Queenstown and nearby walking trails. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made to stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommended.

Nothing. Everything met or exceeded my expectations.

Rooms not serviced Plunger coffee for 1 day only when wr were booked for 3 day stay

Close to town. Great heating, comfortable, clean & nice staff. Would recommend

The proximity to the main town area was great. It meant we could easily walk and leave the car behind as the public car parking can get busy and hard to find The beds were super comfortable and electric blankets and heating worked well

Heating in the bathroom would be a plus

Location to the main part of shops. It's an easy walk.

Parking on the premises.

Great accommodation in a garden setting 2 minutes walk from Arrowtown Main Street.

Fabulous location right in the town and an easy walk to all town facilities. Cafe right across the road.

We were very pleased with everything. Very good value for money.

Perfectly located in the heart of town, close to everything. Good value and great base while visiting Arrowtown.

Stayed before and very neat property and friendly staff.

Close to town so an easy walk. Grounds were very nice. Room was clean and tidy. Good bed and shower.

On-site parking a bit tight, but easy parking on street in front of property

We enjoyed the warmth, well equipped kitchen and overall cleanliness.

I found rubbish in a bedside cabnet, and the shower wet the entire bathroom floor, making using it afterwards awkward. Maybe a weight on the shower curtain might help the water to stay more within the shower area?

Everything was good

Nothing

So close to the centre of everything

Not really any negatives to be fair

Great location, spacious unit, friendly hostess.

Excellent location, great size room, on-site parking.

Nothing.

The location and grounds were lovely. The shower was nice and hot. The bed was comfortable.

Our room was very small. The shower design was poor. The bathroom floor got wet with each use. The room was very cold when we arrived and it took a while to heat up.

The best stay at the shades! so central and laid back! Couldn’t be better!

Lovely quaint cottage to stay in, beautiful surroundings. very easy to walk into the town. Easy parking. Very comfy bed.

Facility was roomy and comfortable

Location was awesome. Owners were awesome. Very comfy, clean and tidy.

Room was smaller than I expected.

We received a very friendly greeting when checking in. This Motel was so close to the Main Street, just a short walk and we were surrounded by the quaint shops. Lots of tourists were mingling.

Very friendly warm and welcoming. Great location. The room was warm clean and well presented. Great value for money

Great location as it is close to everything. We were in a studio. While it was small I enjoyed the outdoor veranda to sit and drink coffee or wine looking out on the peaceful garden. Facilities basic but nice large bathroom. Bed extremely comfortable. Would stay again. Excellent price

Would have preferred the addition of a sofa but obviously there would not be room! Parking a little tight

Location. Friendly staff cleanliness

Bit old

Lovely quiet spot, close to town. Easy drive to other places. Nice warm room. Good hot water supply.

The microvave was placed too high up and I was unable to read the time left for warming. Had to stand on a chair.

The location was superb, and the tiny cottages were so unique and pretty, especially during autumn season. The room was big enough , comfortable and clean. The shops and restaurants only took 1 minute walk and it was quiet during nighttime . Great place to relax .

None

Very handy to central Arrowtown.

Location. Clean

Room was a "bit" to small with all the suitcases.

Location was great

Everything about this Motel is exceptional. Walk to the main street and all the shops, cafe's, Hotel's and restaurant. The bed, pillow's, towel's and linen are top quality. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Brenda the owner is lovely and happy to help with everything. I would highly recommend staying. You won't be dissapointed.

Wonderful really nice place to stay and very convenient for local restaurants which are only a 5 minute stroll away

Parking was tight but we left our car on the side of the road at the end of the drive which was easy.

We liked everything . Plenty to see in Arrowroot and a great selection of eateries .
