Provider-sourced guest reviews.
The room was clean and pretty well equipped with a snug but decent shower. Considering the was a part going on beneath us it was also very quiet.
Check in was strange. The young lady was late but very pleasant but we had to give ID which was photocopied which we felt uncomfortable about. We also had to prepay £50 in case we caused damage which we were actually quite insulted by as we’ve always prided ourselves on leaving a property in as good condition as we find it.
The mattress was extremely uncomfortable - I could feel all the individual springs. The corridors smelt of burning and it was extremely loud to the point I was unable to sleep and had to leave in the night. The hotel weren’t even willing to offer a partial refund.
We booked in got confirmation by email as we were about to check in had another email saying it was cancelled spoke to a lady who was extremely rude who said she had sent a email with cancellation but not until after checking in time ,disgusting behaviour on her half so hopefully won't have to speak to someone like her again as she was so rude so be aware if booking here
The check in lady very rude no manners disgusting attitude
Really comfortable, easy check in clean and tidy
Room a little warm but there was a fan provided
Good location Secure car park
Unhelpful emails and incorrect information given from business Ridiculous check in process No staff on site Nobody answers the phone number Uncomfortable bed Not worth the money or the stress
Location
Bed was seriously uncomfortable. Sewer smell from bathroom sink. Walls could do with a picture or two just to make it feel a bit homely. Thin walls so noise is a problem. Also, its currently a construction site noisy most of the day. Late night empty bottles dumped in the wheelie bins and early collection. Very noisy
Friendly contact in advance from staff to make key code access arrangements. Walking distance from train station. Supermarket within walking distance. Facilities included fridge, microwave and kettle
Pub and restaurant was closed Monday night so we got a supermarket dinner and stayed in. Blinds didn't fully close on long window so bright morning but I had eye mask
Friendly staff, facilities including fridge, microwave and kettle. Pub and restaurant open from Wednesday and looked popular although we were too late to eat there .
Very clean, great shower and spacious room given the price.
Noise from the fridge during the night so better separation between bedroom and kitchen would be an improvement both in terms of noise and sunlight early in the morning.
Nothing
Lovely apartment - perfect for our stay. Had everything you could possibly need. Easy to check-in and staff very responsive and helpful. Apartment was very clean and beds were comfy. Just a nice little place! 😊 Having the Quarter attached was perfect for food and drinks. Was only 10 mins away from Trentham Gardens in an Uber.

Location for wedding there Restaurants very good lovely food n portions
Could be cleaner Stains on sheets Dusty lamp Dirty iron badly marked Carpet grips very sharp need shoes on
Quiet location and easy to acess.
The stay was adequate for my purpose. Meals were good value and well cooked. Apartment nothing to rave about. Staff polite and welcoming.
My room was up several flight of stairs, being partially disabled it was un pleasant getting to and from my room. All indications were that this was the only room available at my time of booking.
Quirky studio apartments in converted factory building. Good location in town and walking distance to the station.
Lovely pub downstairs which has live music - good if you fancy live music but check first if you are planning an early night.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. On site cafe and bar, quirky with a good choice fold food.
The view from my room was of bins and skips. Workmen started before 7.30am.
Fint værelse At personalet ved caféen var flinke.
At der ikke var nogen i receptionen, og det var svært at få fat i nogen.
Location : convenience
Nothing : hence revisit
Liked the accommodation next to the restaurant/pub/social hub Lovely and quiet.
Didnt actually see anyone that ran the apartments. People from the restaurant checked us in etc and helped with any questions. No full length mirror in either of the rooms we had and the lock on my door did not always work. Shower temperature difficult to control. Rooms were very warm, but it was in middle of heat wave. Overall a good stay and we would stay again
Clean but basic
I could here a dog wining in the next room
It was very convenient for us. The shower was very good and the room was clean.
The lack of air conditioning on an extremely hot night meant we didn’t sleep. The staff kindly gave us fans but they just blew the hot air around.
Very central with a bar and live music next door. But didn’t disturb me.
Nothing
Good location for my needs
Above a pub/ restaurant that had a love singer both nights of my stay. Very noisy. Property was a bit tired.
Good location, quiet and next to a decent restaurant
Difficult to check in. No hotel staff on site and no one in the restaurant who knew how to check me in. Sat for 15 mins waiting for someone to appear who could do this.
Stayed here many times and keep coming back as the facilities are clean, comfortable, clean towels, heating, fan, hairdryer, tv. Restaurant and bar onsite when needed, close to the station and very friendly staff.
Forgot I couldn’t get breakfast on a Monday! It’s not a complaint, more my oversight!
Everything
Parking information
Great location very close to the train station.
If you are coming in the summer time be aware that room is like a sauna 😂😂😂
We have stayed here 3 times previously and we’ve always been happy,
Comfortable, clean and great value for money.

Nice and comfortable
Arrived and handed keys quickly and politely. Directions to room given. Room spotlessly clean. Everything expected.
No one to check out so was unsure where to leave keys
I was upset that I didn’t get breakfast as I had to leave before 10.00 the lunch was very good
Breakfast earlier
Small kitchette in room with fridge was very handy. Great for making your own breakfast or heating up a meal in the microwave or pan in the evening. The bar on site would have been very nice but was not open on Monday or Tueday when we stayed.
It wasn't obvious on the booking that BOTH people staying had to show photo ID (not just the person making the booking). It did mention it in the booking details but only way down the email after all the other essential information so was easily missed - we didn't know this until we arrived at the property. Its probably more the fault of Booking.com in the way it provides information and ideally, any 'abnormal booking conditions' (showing BOTH photo ID is certainly not normal here in the UK) should be made more explicit within the main body of the booking information at top of the email (not hidden away down at the bottom in a different section).
I have been completing an apprenticeship at Stafford Uni (stoke-on-trent campus) and started using Potbank in my final year and wish I had found it earlier, It's a 5-10 min walk to the train station and to the main uni campus. There are shops, pubs and take outs all local to the accommodation. The rooms are large and have all the essentials for your stay, a microwave and hob in the rooms and everything has been spotless each time I stayed. The free Wifi was always fast and strong too which is great.
I think my only comment could be that I didn't manage to get hot water from the kitchen tap to do the dishes... but the kettle soon fixed that for me, and I never reported it as I didn't find it to be an issue while I was there! For the price bracket of these rooms they have been great
Location
Mattress quality
Clean, comfy and spacious apartment. Convinient kitchinette with everything needed for a short stay.
Area surrounding the old spode site is very run down, wondered if i was in correct place on arrival. The shower door did not open very far hard to get in and out of easily, but undertandable in an old converted factory building.
Check in was excellent due to the lovely Sandra who called and arranged it all including an early check in. The Quarter restaurant was lovely and the staff were friendly and worked really hard.
It was a little noisy at bedtime due to the restaurant below but we still managed to sleep ok.
Location for the centre of Stoke and only a 15 minute walk to the train station. Easy check in with drop box code.
Freedom to come and go
No bar
I liked the small kitchenette with microwave.
I couldn't get the induction hob to work, even with the instructions. Don't know if this was me or faulty hob. Wasn't a problem though, as I wasn't relying on having one
the room was better than i expected fantastic value for money
Very well designed, with everything I needed.
Overall it was a good stay - room was clean , good location and good value . Issues with light in the corridors not working and would be helpful to have more signage to help navigate in the hotel and outside to find the hotel entrance
ROOM AND BATHROOM CLEAN AND WARM.
was expecting microwave. communal areas looking shabby - halls.
Good location with restaurant and bar on site. Easy to park.
Room too hot. Needs blackout blinds or curtains. Light bulbs too dim. Nowhere to plug hairdryer in near enough to mirror.
Friendly helpful staff.
nice place to stay
The location suited us. The room itself was clean. Decent shower pressure and warm rooms.
There is an air of grumpiness about the policies and implementation that does not give a welcoming vibe. The entrance is actually hidden at the side of the building that has the POTBANK name emblazoned on it, so the first reception you see isn’t the hotel reception. The hotel reception is a actually a locked cubby hole in the middle of all the restaurant facilities. Everything seems a bit pinched. I guess a feature of its heritage. The spaces are small: tight narrow stairs and corridors so you have to sort of shuffle around everything. This even in the “superior” room. No comfy chairs, a microwave at floor level, fridge door set under a wall cupboard you could knock yourself out on. To cap it all there were two pneumatic devices drilling up the drive under our window from 8 am! Not the right place for me.
Well equipped room
No on site breakfast and not much locally either.
Very nice, large rooms for the price. The kitchenettes in each room is really useful
Very helpful staff and very clean
Clean and tidy looked quirky in an interesting location.
Have stayed in converted buildings to hotels around the world, but this site was disappointing. The windows allow poor ventilation, the room was hot all night, (February), there is a fan provided but its only useful if you are used to sleeping under a jet engine(noisy)the doors all slam loudly as appear to be poorly fitted and the carpark area is noisy until late at night, sound insulation seems non existent.
Location is good for the centre of Stoke on Trent. Buses are available for adjacent potteries areas. The station is also walkable.
Only thing is no lift to upper floors.
Clean and easily accessible
I arrived late and could not get hold of the out of hours Porter I also did not have code to get through main gate. Luckily another guest let me through it was 8pm and i was tired and worried i will not get in. It is a somewhat deserted area

Nothing
Facilities all fine. Room was warm. Convenient location to the train station. Clean room.
£50 holding fee that's still pending weeks later (messaged about it and they say it's the bank but on principle I think holding fees are a joke). Noisy doors slamming until late at night impeded sleep. Suggest a sign asking guests to close doors thoughtfully if these loud doors are there for fire purposes. Shower too hot (I saw in another review someone mention this and the hotel respond that they should have just asked the night porter — well I was told explicitly upon check in by the restaurant waitress that this was an un-manned hotel with no staff staying there so that's a bit confusing).
First of you look at what they say they have starting with bingo and water park invoice provided no literally none of that And my issue zero on booking.com about the lack of accessibility they rudely keep saying yes it is listed and possibly on their website but to this date no nothing on booking Also top window was open it’s the style you use a long stick to close I couldn’t get it to close and due to weather it kept making loud crashing as the wind blew it open and I didn’t want to text the woman who had been rude at 1-3am to get her to send a person so had no choice but leave it open
Accessibility there was no information about arriving to no employees and stairs and no elevator once they replied sent someone she just said no only stairs This wouldn’t have been bad if the woman who runs their text was at all polite about this & I can walk so managed with a heart condition hey my heavy baggage up but if I had arrived from out of town with someone in wheelchair we would have had no place to stay
Good location, clean, comfortable, good price and handy having a pub on site.
Parking could be explained better and a bit off that pub staff had to come out of their way to check us in. A few issues getting invoice put in business name but eventually resolved thanks to the lovely Sandra.
Food was really good nice regeneration of old building
Early check out time
Huge appartment with 2 double bedrooms each with en suite Kitchenette between the bedrooms with basic equipment Quiet
Difficult to find the entrance arch in the dark No table for eating/laptop - a small desk with drawers would have been better than the chest of drawers
Priset läget
Inget
Convenient location at a decent price. Good Shower.
Finding the entrance was a little awkward, better signage from the road would have been useful.
The kitchenette and the mirror was well positioned, good shower
There was a private function on so was unable to use the bar downstairs and enjoy a drink inside or out as there was no seating for guests which was a letdown, also parking for hotel guests should be free, flannels needed in room and shampoo and conditioner, I found the water from taps didn’t run hot neither, couldn’t put the heating on neither as it went quite cold
Le fait que ça soit un appartement hôtel
L’accueil qui n’est jamais disponible et pas contactable
Grand
Pas d’ascenseur, il n’y jamais personne à l’accueil, mal localisé
Good location for train station to go to other local places.
Last night 23rd of October very noisy people in one of the rooms from about 11.00 until about 1am. Very annoying and worrying. Very good.
Very easy check in process, received all information for collecting my key card the day before my visit. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, couldn't fault it. Perfect location for the event I was attending at the Quarter at Potbank.
The 10am check out!
I liked the Bar, it was relaxing - meal selection was excelent
Facilities
Stairs
room fine
i was in room 203 - it was weird to see the room next door with a couple in the dressing gowns with the door wide open both in the evening and first thing in the morning
An amazing location, the property was very comfortable and felt like a home from home.
Very close to where we was going
Het hotel is op loopafstand van het station van Stoke. Enkele pubs om de hoek om te eten en te drinken. Uitstekende prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.
Great Spode sight, Museum and tea Roos worth a visit
Near to my work, train station & town centre. Clean, warm & comfy.
Nothing really,
Good location and extremely helpful staff
Would benefit from some designated parking
Good location and parking close by. Plenty of room within the room itself
Looking a little tired but nothing major
It is very close to Stoke on Trent train station. Good value for the money
Nothing everything was ok
Location
I wish I’d known before booking that the pub/eatery cafe place isn’t open on Monday and Tuesday
