Muy bien ubicado al lado de la estación. El onsen estaba muy bien. Lo cogimos como alternativa algo más barata para estar 5 días por la zona. Con el Shinkansen es muy rápido llegar a todas las zonas. Zona lavandería bien montada y fácil de usar. Solo tenía un ascensor pero no tuvimos problema. Personal muy amable. Mandamos las maletas por Yamato muy fácilmente

Serviceable APA business hotel right by the train station. If you find yourself covering a lot of ground by train and this area seems useful as an overnight stop, I have no reservations recommending here. The restaurant downstairs served a nice meal too.

The usual APA clutter in such a small room. You will find everything you need and more, but it will feel cramped.

Prime location right next door to the Joetsumyoko Shinkansen station. Also adjacent to several rental car companies. Walking distance to Lawsons and several other restaurants.

Price for parking is reasonable (¥500), but it’s per entry, so if you want to drive to dinner and return, it’s a separate payment. I wish hotel guests were only charged per day with unlimited departures and arrivals.

Hotel is located just beside the trainstation, which made hometrip very easy back to Tokyo. Hotel had luxurious feel to it and the services were great, the public bathing section was amazing and brilliant way of relaxation after the day's skiing. Rooms were clean and beds very comfortable to sleep on!

1. SPACE Rooms were very small and I wished hotel would come up with some more practical solutions for their skiing customers, because the hotel obviously do attract a lot of tourists with skiing purposes. We, as small group of skiers who were staying in rooms as pair of people, the space issue became fast an issue after you want to place your soaked and wet snowgear somewhere to dry up after the skiday. We managed this by hanging most of the stuff to bathroom, but this made bathroom afterwards nearly unusable. This doesn't even include yet all the other luggage and skigear, plus bags you also need to have in your room. Room did not have any practical shelves or wardrobes to have your stuff on. This should be seriously reconsidered by the hotel's team. If budget allows, I recommend a room per person to accommodate their own rooms to have atleast a moderate amount of space for themselves and their stuff. 2. ELEVATOR Hotel for its size has only one single elevator to operate, which is not enough for all the traffic the hotel runs. Busy and crowded times of the day you could easily spend 10 minutes just to get elevator, not to mention all the stops between the floors. 3. BREAKFAST Breakfast was dissappointing. It is not buffet-type wide selection breakfast, but very local sampled and ready-made offered to you on plate. Also the dining area is extremely small for the amount of residents this hotel serves (up to 10 floors). Poorly executed and not worth the money. We ended up not using our breakfast tickets only once becauser the breakfast was boring and tiredning with no possibility of choosing it yourself. Most of all we were happy on our stay, but many practical errors to fix when considering skier residents.

Onsen is very good

I loved everything about this hotel for the area! Joetsumyoko is an incredibly convenient station to use as a jumping off point for the rest of Joetsu, for Iiyama and we even popped down to Nagano for a day no problem! It’s a completely covered walk of like 90 seconds from the foot of the station stairs to the hotel entrance, so when I say it’s “close to the station” I mean it! Also for convenience there’s a Lawson (コンビニ) suuuper close for any snacking or utility needs, and there’s a few good restaurants for dinner right by the station as well (and a Komeda for breakfast if you’re not eating at the hotel restaurant). The hot spring was a really nice benefit, and it opens really early which was great for me! The staff were really friendly, and the room was honestly way more spacious than we expected. All in all, this was about as perfect as you can get for a non-ryokan hotel in Joetsu!

Since it was winter and they had the heat on, there were signs about it being harder to control in the rooms and yeah, it was borderline unbearably hot at points! At least the window opened to offer us some relief

Brand new hotel. Everything new, and size of room in JP standards great, in normal standards ok(ish). Nice and clean onsen.

No towels at the onsen. Remember to bring from the room 😅

良心的な対応と清潔な室内、大浴場があるのと、各階に電子レンジがある事、ディスポでもカトラリーを設置してくれてあったのはありがたかった。

室内で温度調節ができず一括管理になっており、寒さ対応にはなっていたようですが窓も開けられないので暑かった。館内に食事処がもう少し併設されているところがあると良いな。

A wonderful traditional breakfast was served in the cozy restaurant. The room looked out over the station and towards Mt Myoko. There was a homely vibe, even a little paper origami crane on the desk.

一泊500円かかる駐車場の説明が今ひとつ不十分だった。夕方出庫すると高確率で埋まってしまうので、その場合は近隣の駐車場に自腹で留めるようです(私の場合すぐ隣で一泊1000円)。どういう仕組みかチェックイン時に聞いた方がいいです

Super convenient for the Shinkansen station. Excellent public bath (non-mineral). The rooms were compact but functional with all required amenities.

There’s only one lift so allow a little time to get around. Some floors are smoking.

大浴場は、露天風呂もあって大満足でした。

①エアコンの吹き出し口がベッドの並びと不一致で片側に風が全く来ない。②部屋に備え付けの浴槽に捕まる取ってがないため立ち上がることができない。転んだりすると大怪我になります。

わかる人ならわかると思いますが、アパホテルはどのビジネスホテルよりもベッドの質が最高に素敵です。 このエリアは新幹線の開通によりできたエリアだと思います。まだまだこれから発展する地域ですが、いろいろホテルがある中でもこのアパホテルはとても設備が良く、大浴場やコインランドリーなどが揃っているので旅行者にはうってつけのホテルだと思います。 リゾートホテルなどがまだそばにはないので、ちょっとランクの高いビジネスホテルを泊まりたいなら、このホテルがとてもオススメです。

We booked three reservations. Their cancellation policy is great and it allows us flexibility in our trip. We travelled from Sapporo and were not sure to arrive on the first day of our reservation. So the one day reservation plus a three day was perfect. Great Japanese breakfast. Book larger rooms if you have luggage. Staff very amazing and helpful.

Winter 2025. Being next to the Lawson was incredibly convenient. The location was sort of noisy due to the Shinkansen/train running. The Onsen was wonderful when visited outside of the busy times. Parking on-site was ¥500 and a one-time in-and-out transaction. However, parking is a bit small and does get full. The Times parking South/Southwest (next to train station) was ¥600 and a good solution in case the on-site gets full. Staff was wonderful. You can use the public transportation pick-up/drop-off area for quick access to the site for dropping off luggage or grabbing something.

It'd be nice to have road access without paying for parking to quickly stop at the hotel to drop off luggage and not inconvenience the public transportation situation

Hotel is normal high APA standard with onsen and smallish room. For the skiing: There is a Shuttle bus leaving directly from the other sie of the station to Lotte Arai Ski Resort. Not to frequent but convenient. Needs to be reserved beforehand online.
