Perfect stay! Very friendly and helpful staff, they speak English perfectly. You should definitely book dinner, because it's traditional, the food is gorgeous. Hotel is conveniently located near bus stop, it takes about 50 min from Nikko Tobu station. Also you can get by bus or on foot to some beautiful nature spots from here. Right near the hotel you can get on cruise boat on the lake And the hotel had it's own onsen, felt so good in the cool weather.

I liked everything, will recommend it.

Personalen var väldigt välkomnande och hjälpsamma, maten var utmärkt!

夕食は、食べきれないほどの量かあり、とても良かったです。朝食も、和食だったので、とても満足でした。ロケーションですが、バス停や船着き場も近く、歩きでも不便は感じませんでした。スタッフの対応も、しっかり教育されていると思いました。

その反面、源泉かけ流しをアピールしていましたが、残念でした。湯の成分としては、奥日光湯元温泉から引いている含硫黄-ナトリウム-硫酸塩・塩化物温泉で間違い無いと思います。ただし、ここ一ヶ月で、那須元湯温泉の鹿の湯、伊達にある智恵子の湯（冷鉱泉）、恐山温泉の花染の湯にて入浴してきましたが、おんせんの温度管理、そして、湯の汚れについては、ほかの湯と比較できるものでは、ありませんでした。内湯に関しては、早朝までに清掃されていましたが、外湯は、あの湯量なので、お湯を入れ替えるのは、不可能と理解しています。しかし、入浴時間を制限してでも、綺麗な源泉かけ流しの湯に入りたかったです。また、温泉に行くまでの通路も、とても綺麗とは思えませんでした。なお、温泉の写真は、撮影禁止とありましたので、撮影していません。

J’ai beaucoup apprécié mon séjour dans cet hôtel. Le petit-déjeuner est particulièrement agréable, avec trois types de petits-déjeuners proposés, ce qui permet de varier selon ses envies. J’ai également apprécié le service autour de la machine à café mise à disposition dans l’hôtel, un petit plus vraiment pratique. L’emplacement est un autre point fort : l’hôtel est situé dans un quartier agréable et à proximité immédiate d’une ligne de métro, ce qui facilite grandement les déplacements. Enfin, j’ai beaucoup apprécié les services proposés par l’établissement, notamment la possibilité de laver ses vêtements sur place. Un service très pratique, surtout lors d’un séjour de plusieurs jours. Une expérience très agréable, avec de nombreux services qui rendent le séjour confortable et pratique.

Le seul point négatif concerne l’insonorisation de la chambre. Il y avait un bruit provenant de l’intérieur de l’hôtel, et non de l’extérieur, qui était assez présent et pouvait être gênant, notamment la nuit.

Very good dinner, also for Vegetarian, which is unfortunately not normal in Japan I have learnt. Very helpful and friendly staff. The Location is also very nice because it‘s directly at the sea. However, guests should be aware that is more than half an Hour by Bus to go for the temples in Nikko.

L’établissement est très bien localisé. Le personnel est à accueillant et serviable. Les repas étaient excellents. Je recommande. Vous pourrez y aller les yeux fermés.

食事がとても良かった 特に1泊目のとり鍋、ステーキ、2泊目の夕食に出た　ゆば刺身　栃木牛薄切り焼き、天丼、などなど　朝食の出汁カレー、味噌汁も美味しかったです

1室4名で泊まったのですが、もう少しゆったりと過ごしたかった

Perfect views of lake Chuzenji both day and night. Staff were very kind and welcoming. Local food ingredients were super fresh and delicious.

There was no elevator, need to make some efforts in walking up the upper floors yet it worth as the view was wonderful.

Die Unterkunft direkt am Chuzenji-See nahe Nikkō war für unsere zwei Nächte perfekt. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und groß. Außerdem außergewöhnlich sauber und neu. Nachts ist es extrem ruhig und das Bett ist gemütlich. Eine Klimaanlage gibt es auch. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ebenso gut und vielfältig. Großartig fanden wir jedoch das Abendessen mit mehreren Gängen. Für uns gab es sogar ein vegetarisches Menü, weil wir kein Fleisch oder Fisch essen. Sehr, sehr lecker. Das Personal war auch sehr, sehr höflich und freundlich. Sie gaben uns einen hilfreichen Überblick, was es neben Nikkō auch noch am Chuzenji-See noch für Naturwanderungen wie zu den Wasserfällen gibt. Das Hotel ist auch mit dem Bus von Nikkō aus sehr einfach zu erreichen. Gerne wieder.

Das Personal war äusserst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Abendessen war sehr gut und abwechslungsreich-ein echtes Erlebnis. Betten waren komfortabel und alles sehr sauber.

服务很好，工作人员还帮忙搬行李，餐食虽然感觉食材不是特别精致，但在这个价位已经做的足够好了。温泉的硫磺味很浓，感觉不错。位置也挺好的，挨着中禅寺湖，打开窗户能看到一部分湖景（被树遮挡了不少）

窗外的露台地上有很大一坨动物粪便，很臭。不知道是刚拉的还是酒店没及时清扫，直接导致我们没再打开过窗户。

全体的に施設が古く、エレベーターがない。階段もやや急な角度で、高齢者や足腰が弱っている人は大変かも。

房間很大，員工非常親切，晚餐份量很多很好吃，連著兩天菜色都不一樣。飯店外面就是湖，走出去就可以散步，很棒。

Loved the staff. They made you feel so welcome and special. Loved the mix of Japanese and western to ease our kids.

夕飯がかなり美味しい。小さいながらも、湯の花の咲く源泉掛け流しの風呂も良い。スタッフも親切。

特にないのですが、作りはかなりレトロです。そういうのが好きでない人もいるかもと思います。朝食は普通です。

眺望抜群の清潔なお部屋に加え、スタッフの心遣いが素晴らしい。夕食、朝食とも地域の食材を活かしつつ質、量とも申し分ない。源泉かけ流しの温泉も楽しめ、避暑には最高。

少し建物が古く、エレベーターはない。目の前の駐車場はクルマ４台の広さで鍵をフロントに預ける必要あり。

源泉掛け流しの湯､湯の花が咲く露天風呂は雰囲気も良くてゆったりつかって身体も心も癒されました。夕食は､土地のものを美味しくいただきました。ステーキのボリュームにびっくり。一番早く食べに来て､一番遅くまで食べていました。料理の紹介や食器の出し引きをしてくれるスタッフさんの気配りがうれしいかったですね。朝食も目移りする料理の数々を楽しく腹におさめました。ここでもスタッフさんの笑顔のサービスが心地よく感じました。朝食後の散歩がてら､徒歩10分で華厳の滝へ。気持ちよく観光してきました。

第三次入住，依然一切都很美好。晚餐的品質和量明顯提升，連住三晚，每天菜色都不同，而相同用心。房間的湖景很舒壓。

房間和大浴場穿衣間的冷氣可以再涼一點。冬天和春天住的時候沒特別需要，夏天就明顯覺得冷氣不足。

Very helpfull, good tips for hikes, and very considerate staff and hotelowner! The hotel is close to the lake and busstops. We stayed 3 nights and had a very nice time. Tip: Try the whisky and the Nikko Belgian beer..

We are a foreign couple living in Japan, and we travel frequently, so we have many places to compare with. If you visit this hotel, you will find yourself in a truly breathtaking location surrounded by majestic mountains, a beautiful lake, and numerous waterfalls. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the hotel's friendly young owner and his wonderful staff. Check-in was quick and efficient, and we were personally escorted to our room while they explained where the onsen was located and how dinner and breakfast would be served. Our room was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The large panoramic window offered a spectacular view of the lake and the cloud-covered mountains—it was simply unforgettable. Both dinner and breakfast exceeded all our expectations. The quality, presentation, and taste of the food were outstanding. Directly across from the hotel is the pier for sightseeing boats. Every morning, you can take a one-hour cruise across the stunning mountain lake, which is exactly what we did. Afterwards, we explored the beautiful waterfalls located on the eastern side of the lake. We did not visit the famous Kegon Falls this time because we had already been there during a previous trip to Nikko. For travelers who would like to experience the atmosphere of traditional Japan, we also highly recommend visiting the Edo Wonderland historical village, where various live theatrical performances are held throughout the day. We had a wonderful stay and would gladly return. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for your warm hospitality!

Everything was wonderful. We live in Japan, and although our Japanese is still far from perfect, the hotel owner was very patient and encouraging. We asked him to speak only Japanese with us, and throughout our entire stay we communicated exclusively in Japanese without switching to English even once. We truly appreciated this, as it gave us a great opportunity to practice the language and made our stay even more enjoyable.

The dinner was the best Japanese meal we’ve had in our trip, the chef was brilliant and the food was so delicious and generous

The place is quiet old and seems that needs some renovation

This was our second time staying at Hatago Nagomi and we hope to come back again! We came here as a family last July and brought guests visiting from overseas along this time based on our positive experience last summer. Everyone had a wonderful time. We loved the delicious food (great steak!) and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great access to the Lake Chuzenji, Kegon Waterfall, and other local attractions. There is a convenient bus stop in front of the property and onsite parking is also available.

The rotenburo outdoor bath was a bit too hot for our family, but the indoor one was perfect.

Very large room with a nice balcony that overlooked lake. Bathroom was great- had a nice tub that a tall person could actually soak in. There was an onsen available that was very nice- scalding hot water, not crowded. Dinner was excellent. Traditional meal so got to sample Japanese cuisine, with hot pot that we prepared at table. Only $20!

Rooms just had dated feel, but they were still very clean. Balcony was nice, but it really was just chairs and table on a roof, so not very pretty. Still was able to look at lake, so met the goal.

雨天の場合の観光地のアドバイスがよかった。

The location is good across the road from the lake, nearby hiking and waterfalls. Free parking. Bus transportation is close. Breakfast was good with many choices either Japanese or Eurocentric. The dinners were outstanding with varied menus each night for each table. Traditional Japanese meals with many courses. The waitstaff was attentive and helpful and aware of personal preferences. Available pajamas, robes, and slippers. Coffee and tea available all day. It has a bar and gift area.

The common area carpeting and in our bedroom were stained and old. Definitely an older establishment which needs some TLC and new furniture. Luckily, the bathroom had been renovated so it was good but has a step up to it. The view photos are not what you really see; highly misleading because deck roof and railings blocks the view. The onsen is a sulfur one and is not one I'd use due to age/upkeep of the facility. Hallway walls are damp near it.

とくにありませんが、しいて言えば浴室のドライヤー3台ともに風が弱く、空気の吸い込みの所を確認したら埃がびっしり着いていたので綿棒で少し取り除きましたが、掃除しておくと快適に使用できて良いかと思いますので宜しくお願いします

J’ai passé dans cet hotel un merveilleux séjour. Le personnel est très à l’écoute et parle parfaitement anglais. La chambre était grande, avec vue sur le lac Chuzenji. Bonne literie. Le Onsen très agréable. Emplacement parfait en face du lac et proche d’un arrêt de bus. Très calme et très beau. Petit déjeuner délicieux. Dîner excellent. Ambiance générale très accueillante et inspirante. Attention il n’y a pas d’ascenseur. Donc si vous êtes une personne à mobilité réduite, je ne vous conseille pas cet hotel. A mon arrivée, le personnel s’est occupé de monter mes bagages jusqu’à ma chambre, ce que j’ai beaucoup apprécié.

We loved our stay at Hatago Nagomi! The people there are so nice and the meals were excellent! We did not have a car and the location worked great for us. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. We were there for 4 nights and it was so convenient to take the bus to explore the beautiful area.

It wasn't a problem for us but there isn't an elevator if you have trouble with stairs. The staff helped us with our luggage.

The staff were attentive, friendly and just made the whole experience exceptional. Loved the option of using an outdoor mineral onsen.

The room we had could have used curtains on the window by the door.

השירות היה מעל ומעבר, אמרתי שאני צמחוני ודאגו כל הזמן, היתה ארוחת ערב במלון ובוקר, בסגנון יפני, דאגו לוודא שיש לי דברים ללא דגים. האונסן במלון, קטן אבל ייחודי, החיצוני היה עם מים עם מינרליים והיה חם במידה. הארוחות בסגנון יפני, היו מושקעות ונפלאות, חדר גדולות מיטות קצת רכות, גולת הכותרת, יש כורסת מסאג בחדר, ממש טובה.

Rooms were very spacious and beds comfortable. Location is perfect. Staff very friendly and helpful. There was incense smell in the corridors, which I assume is to deter bugs. Onsen a little run down but comfortable.

We were expecting a better traditional Japanese breakfast but the pictures on the site are not reflective of what was available. For the price it was reasonable, but the experience was not what we were looking forward to.

Heel leuk kleinschalig familiehotel op een prachtige locatie direct aan het meer. Een fijne uitvalsbasis om wandelingen te maken en Nikko te verkennen zonder de drukte. De kamers zijn zeer ruim en comfortabel, de onsen is prettig en zowel het ontbijt als het uitgebreide diner zijn uitstekend. Er is ook een wasmachine in het hotel, erg handig wanneer je langer door Japan reist. Het personeel is uitzonderlijk vriendelijk en behulpzaam - niets is te veel gevraagd. Een aanrader.

It was not a traditional Japanese hotel, neither operators nor foods. Although the food was okay, but not Japanese style, not met my expectations.

旅籠という器ながら、ただ形式的な応対に終始する超一流ホテルとは比較にならない心温まる「おもてなし」を感じ、気持ちよく旅行が出来ました。社長自ら先頭に立って遠来の客をもてなしておられる姿勢に深く感銘を受けました。そして、その思いを十分に理解したスタッフの皆さんが、心から客に満足してもらおうとしていることが随所から伝わってくる、本当に素晴らしい宿でした。

清潔でスタッフの感じも良かった。食事も美味しかった。

トイレとバスルームが別だともっと良かった

מלון יוצא מן הכלל. מרגע שהגענו ועד שעזבנו, היחס אלינו היה אישי. הצוות יצא מגידרו בכדי להנעים את שהייתנו. החדר שהזמנו היה גדול מאד ומרווח עם נוף לאגם. ארוחת הערב הייתה מעולה והוכנה במיוחד עבורינו ולטעמינו האישי.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were always smiling, friendly, and very welcoming. The food was absolutely gorgeous and incredibly tasty. Everything made the experience extra special. Highly recommended!

Dinner was prime. It was the best dinner experience I've had in Japan!

The interior of the restaurant could do with some more refined touches, make it more welcoming. The bar also need a refurbish. Make it more appealing and professional. I would certainly grab a drink if it was more inviting.

The onsen was great, breakfast and dinner were amazing, staff was wonderful and very helpful.

Looks quite old, would need a refresh. The terrace was unfortunately unusable as there were a lot of insects and it wasn’t clean.

中禅寺湖の目の前で景色が最高でした。 料理もお酒も地元食材をしっかり使って美味しかったです。 温泉は小さいですが、露天風呂もあり風情があります。 日本人旅行者が減っており外国人がかなり多いようですが、同泊は日本のやり方を尊重してくださる外国人の客層の方々でしたので快適でした。

あまり思い当たりませんが、設備が古い点でしょうか。リニューアルして綺麗に清掃されているので問題ありません。

日光旅行で宿泊しました。大型連休にもかかわらず、中禅寺湖を見渡せるホテルを予約できたのはラッキーでした。 部屋が広々として清潔があり、ベッドも気持ちがよく泊まれました。 夕食は品数が非常に豊富で、食べきれないほど。まだ少し肌寒い季節ということもあり、化学調味料を一切使用していない鶏鍋が特に美味しかったです。野菜もたっぷりで、体の芯まで温まりました。 スタッフの方の笑顔も素敵でした。

Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, mit Balkon und Seeblick. Das Bad ist klein bietet aber genug Abstellfläche, einzig das Licht im Bad könnte etwas heller sein. Ein ganz großes Lob dem Service und der Küche, sie waren alles sehr 🩷lich, freundlich und hilfsbereit, dafür 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Wir hatten ein japanisches Frühstück, aber auch Muffins, kleine Zimtschnecken und helles Gebäck. Das Abendessen war ein mehrgängiges japanisches Menü und wurde von den netten Damen im Service bestens beschreiben und erklärt. Das Hotel ist zwar schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, hat aber auch einen japanischen Charme. Nicht zu vergessen das aufmerksame Management, vielen Dank dafür.

朝食のコーヒーが、機械から抽出されるもので、少々がっかりしました。 朝食時、前日の夕飯のものか、テーブルの下が汚れているのが気になりました。

The onsen facility is a bit outdated

The hotel was excellent. The staff were kind and helpful, assisting us with planning our itinerary and giving us useful tips and recommendations. The dinner was one of the best meals we had and a truly wonderful experience. It was not a buffet, but a carefully prepared set menu that included local dishes, with clear explanations about each course. If there was anything you could not eat, they gladly offered alternatives, which was greatly appreciated. The room was large, spacious, and very well equipped, both in the bathroom and throughout the room.

The only drawback was the distance from the city center, but the many advantages far outweighed this minor inconvenience.

Staff were friendly, professional and made sure we had everything we needed. They were also very careful to ensure their menu was to your liking which was excellent.

Lack of a lift when we were on the 4th floor plus the hotel needs a refurb as some places look a little dated.

The room was nice and comfortable with a great view of the lake. The dinners and breakfast buffet were excellent. The staff was great and met all of our needs. The location of the hotel was perfect. There were many sites within walking distance and the bus service worked out great for other locations.

The only thing that I disliked was the overhead lighting in the room. The dimmer switch never got it a comfortable level. An additional lamp near the couch might have been nice.
