Loved the period building, decor and location, plus the friendly welcome. Would definitely stay again.

Bathrooms a little tired, grouting round basin in one grubby. Bedroom door to outside by parking hard to lock and secure.

The house was clean,and Bertie was friendly.

There is no outside light and when we arrived after stargazing we had to open the gate in the dark and park the car. The bedding was a bit worn and the bathroom was not en-suite. The photo's do not resemble the rooms in the house..

Parking can be a bit of a challenge, as the driveway is shared with other guests. Worked fine for us though.

Zeer ruime slaapkamers met voor iedere kamer een volwaardige badkamer. Zeer goed bed om te slapen. Zeer mooie en grote leefruimtes. Super gezellige terrasjes. Gezellig grote tuin. Heel proper. Auto kan veilig op de oprit achter een poort staan.

Het was heel koud in het huis.

The Location is central with access to restaurants etc which is a plus point. On premises parking is always good

The state of the building especially the roof was a challenge as it was dripping water all over which resulted in wet bedding, kitchen appliances and our clothes

The cottage was cute and comfortable and had everything we needed. Also right in the middle of town, so we could walk almost everywhere.

Location is good as centrally located on the main road. Air-conditioning worked well and bed comfortable. Wifi is good.

Bathroom on advert forgets to mention that the bath isn't in the bathroom but rather in the bedroom with a small screen around and that the shower mentioned is actually outside the cottage so in winter you're venturing outside to shower..Also the Air-conditioning is creating condensation that leaks out from the roof and can land anywhere in the room from central area to even on your bed as a consistent dripping. TV channels are very limited and the whole unit is not well maintained with cracks in the plaster and moisture ingress everywhere.

We did not prepare for the cold. More heaters in rooms would have been nice.

The room was great, everything was great.

It was difficult to contact the owner, which is living in Belgium, to find out if I could cancel or change my reservation as the area was hit by severe floods and the main route through Meiringspoort was closed since I booked, which made it a massive detour to reach Prince Albert.

Elize was always available, and very helpful. Mickey and Shaun were also a pleasure. We spent 11 nights there, 5 in the house and 6 in the cottage; both were comfortable and had everything we needed.

We stayed in the house for the initial half of our stay as there were 'condensation issues' in the cottage. As a result, whilst the cottage was very cosy and comfortable, the ongoing condensation drips meant wet floors and cushions - not great!

Great location and very quaint. Loved the little fireplace, comfy bed and outdoor shower.

The roof leaks in various places inside and there was no electric blanket as advertised.

An old local home with worden floor, golden Tabs,thick walls,asf.Had obviously been belonged to a rich family. Has character,is a bit run down.

The Pool was not so well maintained.

They accommodated us at the very last minute. Everything was in order when we arrived. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. I would highly recommend.

Perfect location within walking distance of everything, beautiful garden, Elize was an attentive host. Comfortable living area with many outdoor areas. Our bed was very comfortable. Plenty of heating options between wall panels in the bedrooms, fireplace in the lounge and gas heater in the dining room. Luckily it didn't get tooo cold while we were there.

One of the beds was a little tight for two adults. Another bed was apparently too soft. Ours was perfect! We would very much have appreciated some additional storage space in all the bedrooms.

The cottage was in an excellent location for walking around town and access to the Jazz festival venues. Elize was very helpful and attentive.

We loved our stay and wished we could have stayed another night! The bed was incredibly comfortable, the outdoor shower was a fantastic touch, and the location was perfect. The host was also very responsive and helpful throughout. Highly recommend!"

Kitchen was a bit tight.

We stayed in the converted apartment. Lots of space and comfortable, well within the price budget.

The driveway was not conducive to a heavy cruiser motorcycle due to the loose stones/gravel. No problem like that with a car.

An old Karoo style home in an excellent position near to restaurants and other facilities. Comfortable, neat and clean with lovely sun drenched patio.

The Braai grids were disgustingly dirty, and we could not use them. The house was very cold the day we stayed there. We had to run the shower for an unnecessary longtime before the hot water ran, inappropriate for water saving

We have been staying in the main house for many years, my first time in the cottage, just as great. Elize is an excellent host, always helpful and available.

The location on the main street was wonderful. The space in the house was amazing - 3 double bedroom - 2 en suite and one with a separate bathroom. The pool was a great extra bonus. Loved the old school kitchen stove but all the modern requirements were met like dishwasher and even a washing machine. A great place to stay and great value for money

het is een prachtig zeer mooi oud huis heel gezellig ingericht, houten vloeren zeer landelijk met kleden en leuke oude meubels mooi bijelkaar. Een schitterende tuin met allerlei zitjes en veel zon en een zwembad. Kruidentuin, prachtige voortuin. Er is alarm en afsluitbare hekken. Contact met de contactpersoon was uitstekend. Wat een absoluut geweldig huis. Drie wat ouderwetse badkamers dat helemaal bij de inrichting van het huis past. Alles functioneert perfect.

Pretty shabby-chic decorated cottage in grounds of larger house with garden. Comfortable & with everything we needed for the two of us. Enjoyed sitting outside to eat our breakfast/ lunch under the shade of the trees. Within walking distance of all to see in town & a quick hop over the road to the restaurant "The Rude Chef". Nice white bed linen with blankets & a thoughtful addition of a mosquito net & plug-in repellant.

A bit of confusion on arrival. I had received instructions for self check-in but the visitors staying in the main house had gone out & padlocked the gate to the driveway. We gained access to the cottage by climbing over the gate but the manager eventually came when I telephoned to explain problem. Young men hanging around begging while we were trying to sort things out! Some of the photos on Booking.com show facilities for the main house rather than the one room cottage. Pool not clean enough to tempt us. Had some trouble getting hot water for outside shower.

The pool has no handrail and we're both compromised with leg movement. B could not get out of the pool amd luckily another guest was there to help him. The steps were too big for me to climb after being paralysed.... Maybe just one on the corner that blends with the surroundings.

Very cozy! We had access to a big garden, swimming pool and braai area. The shower area outside, with hot and cold water and very private, was an interesting experience! The big old bath in the room with only a screen to make it more private was actually very nice! All we needed and more.

Not anything not to like, but a door on the shower might be a plus as I experienced wind blowing the curtain into the cubicle one evening. Not a deal breaker though, we are definitely returning.
