Abel Tasman Marahau

The most well appointed house we've ever stayed in. Extras of all the linens, towels etc. Loved all the kitchen appliances, chairs and tables for outside. The open layout was great to accommodate all our friends. The 4 bathrooms was a huge bonus. Quick walk to the beach.

Loved everything. Could've used some measuring cups and spoons for the kitchen. Maybe a couple more glasses for drinks as well.

We booked this accommodation for a small extended family celebration, and it was perfect. Three generations plus an elderly friend were all comfortable in various rooms, and the house had everything we needed to make self-catering easy. The pool table was a great hit, as was the extra-large TV for the All Blacks match. Down a quiet cul-de-sac and an easy walking distance to the beach, a playground, and a corner shop, we thought the location ideal. We are keen for a return journey sometime in the future.

La comunicación y atención con el dueño es muy buena y rapida. La cocina esta muy bien equipada y moderna, La ubicaciones es excelente para conocer Abel Tasman, de ahi salen muchos tours de kayak y water taxis.

Las regaderas de arriba ya estan algo viejas y aunque estan en buen estado una en particular es dificil de utilizar

It was clean, spacious, well stocked, and in an excellent location. Great value for money.

The shower in the back room didn't drain well.

We loved it. We nicknamed it “the palace”. Great way for us to do the Abel Tasman walk over 3 days using the local water taxis to take us in and out to different parts of the track each day.

It was awesome. Nothing we didn’t like.

Colin and his wife were lovely. We arrived earlier than anticipated but Colin was able to let us in early as they'd just finished cleaning. The house was fantastic, it far exceeded our expectations. It was fully equipped to cater to large crowds of people and came equipped with an abundance of everything you could ever think of from bed linens and towels to a well-stocked kitchen with multiple fridges and a cupboard filled with board games. Anything you could think of for a house, it had, and it had ample of. The home was also perfectly situated, with a cafe and small convenience store at the end of the road which sits across from the beach and walking tracks. This was our first time returning to New Zealand having moved abroad pre-COVID and it was so lovely to be able to catch up with all of our friends from Uni in one place at one time. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful house.

Position was good & lady that clean the property very pleasant. Electrics dangerous, my friend ended up being taken by ambulance to Nelson hospital after being electrocuted from the upstairs light switch. A few too many cockroaches.

Location is brilliant, we walked everywhere easily. Absolutely everything you need in the kitchen, lovely outdoor area. Really nice house so we felt very relaxed and plenty of room for lots of guests if you are a big group.

Booking.com double booked our last night. We had asked to stay an extra night and had been told it was okay but our booking never got updated even though we paid. It was awkward sharing a house with strangers, although there was plenty of room. Previous occupants had left cups and glasses really dirty and coffee grounds in the machine. Not a big deal but a bit odd, why put dishes away unwashed.... Not something you would normally check as a property manager I don't think.

Stayed for 6 nights. A lovely well maintained home with everything needed for accomodating large groups and entertaining both inside and outside. 4 large bedrooms inside and separate sleep out outside. Quick responses from Colin the owner and detailed information provided about the house. Highly recommend 👌

The home is huge and very well equipped for large gatherings, the photos don’t really do it justice. We were part of a larger group who were staying down the road so the location was perfect for that and it’s also a short walk from the entrance to the Abel Tasman national park. We had great weather for the long weekend so we were able to use the outdoor area which is sheltered and sunny and has plenty of outdoor seating and tables. The kitchen is well equipped with all you would need including a large fridge inside and another out by the BBQ. The TV is massive and modern, if that’s your thing and the pool table is a great asset for groups. So glad we booked this house, it was a treat to walk into and a little bit sad to leave.

Can’t really think of anything important, there’s prickles in the lawn so take jandals but that’s a comment not an issue.

It was a great location. We were able to walk to restaurants, hiking and activities. It is also a very nice home with plenty of space, a nice kitchen and a pool table.

This property was absolutely perfect for a big family get together , we were all amazed at how well equipped it was and the bedrooms were fantastic and super spacious , the property is fully fenced which was great for the kids and when it came time to leave no one wanted to go ! The hosts were great and the location of this property was superb ! Just a 5 minute walk to the beautiful beach

The late check in ( although the house was ready and open at 3.30pm). Thank you to your cleaners for having the house ready early. No sports TV channel so couldn’t watch the cricket final. 🥴No sky open channel.

Having the use of the yard and BBQ was nice. Plus the nice huge couch that all 3 of us could fit on and relax after a huge day of hiking the Able Tasman. The kitchen and all the choice of appliances was nice. Some I haven’t seen elsewhere in other homes, during this trip

The shower on the main level was extremely hard to figure out where the hot water was. I let it run for about 3 minutes on each extreme end and never got hot water, so I had to use the one upstairs.

There were coffee making facilities in the house but unfortunately there was no milk so we were unable to feed our coffee addiction.

The nearest supermarket is in Motueka, the store point in Marahau is small and with just few goods. We suggest to arrive with your own goods, unless you want to go to the restaurant every day. But the restaurants are very good.

Huge bedrooms, enormous lounge dining area and a bonus snooker table for group entertainment. Plus nice outdoor spaces to enjoy.

Not much to say - minor issue with no where to put food. The kitchen was so well equipped that there was no where to store/stash our food -as I said -a minor detail

The place was amazing, full facilities and enough space for our group to relax after a big kayak trip. The host let us check in early with very little notice and was accommodating when we wanted to add more people to our booking. Loved it, highly recommend, thank you for having us!
