Everything about the hotel was amazing to be honest. Couldn't fault a thing

We absolutely loved our stay at Grand Kata VIP! We traveled as a family with a baby, and the hotel had everything we needed and was very comfortable for us. The location is excellent – there is a 7-Eleven right across the street and Kata Night Market is only about a 2-minute walk away. The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful with everything we needed. The hotel and our room were very clean, and we also really enjoyed the pool and the happy hour. Breakfast was okay – perfectly fine, but nothing special. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Phuket! ❤️

Mooi schoon hotel. Bed lag lekker, niet te hard. Dicht bij strand en diverse Markten. Zwembaden waren ook lekker qua temperatuur.

Ontbijt vond ik iets minder. Te weinig Thais. En overal zat vlees doorheen waardoor je als vegetariër of vegan weinig keus hebt. Maar in de straat genoeg keus voor ontbijt

We had a very nice stay overall. The hotel is very good and the location is excellent. The beach is within easy walking distance and is absolutely beautiful. The nearby local Kata market is also within walking distance and has pretty much everything you need in the evening – lots of food, shopping and some entertainment. Really a great location for a family. Breakfast was fresh and varied enough, and we enjoyed it. There were some minor renovation works during our stay, but there were enough alternative facilities available, so they didn't really affect our experience.

Despite contacting the hotel several times before arrival and requesting adjacent rooms for our family, unfortunately our two rooms were not next to each other. More seriously, during our stay we discovered that cash was missing from our luggage. We cannot prove what happened or who was responsible, so we don't want to make any accusations. We reported it to reception, but felt that the response was quite indifferent and we were simply directed to the police. Since we couldn't prove what happened, we eventually had to accept the loss and move on, but it obviously left us with a very unpleasant feeling.

The hotel facilities, including the swimming pool and gym, were good. Considering the price I paid, I believe the hotel offered excellent value for money. The room was spacious, and the housekeeping team did a great job. The staff were also friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist.

The breakfast had very limited variety. While there were a few changes each day—such as noodles and pancakes on one day, and rice and French toast on another—the rest of the breakfast items remained the same throughout my stay. The shuttle bus service also needs more departure times. Currently, it only operates at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. During check-in, I was informed that if I wanted a ride to the beach, I only needed to call 20 minutes before departure, and the return shuttle would leave the beach at either 11:00 AM or 3:00 PM. However, on my last day, when I requested transportation, I was told that the shuttle only departs from the hotel at 11:00 AM or 3:00 PM, not from the beach as I had originally been informed. When I tried to discuss this with Polyly, she interrupted me and ignored my concerns before I had even finished explaining the situation. This was disappointing and left me feeling that my concerns were not taken seriously.

Very bad sofa, and I think it's sad when they have such a bad sofa.

The suite we rented had a separate bedroom.

The hotel should be 5* quality but in real life it’s an average 3* quality hotel. Everything there only looks good in pictures, but in real life the quality is just average, starting with the couch in the living room and ending with the hard ones in the lobby. There is a distinctive smell of mound from the air conditioning. During the rain we literally had water on the floor leaking through the windows. There is no signature smell in the hotel, so the smell of humidity is omnipresent. The small pools are squeezed between walls and you can hear noises from the building site all the time while at the pool. No music. There are many rooms overlooking the building site as well. Luckily I asked for a room away and got one so at least in the room we were free from the noises. The staff were polite but not engaged. The breakfast choice is very poor and the quality is just average compared to other hotels from booking we visited.

Location - if u like Kata beach (mainly for families)

Staff - reception all of them very poor , they tried to cheat by claiming they’re giving my an upgrade when the room is exactly the one I booked. They limit wifi access (really in 2026) when almost all 4/5 star hotels globally even in thailand , wifi is like water - meaning easy access - these buggers give u passwords for different devices 🤣… we booked two one bedroom apartments, and there was only one TV unit , nothing in bedroom - so we had to ask them to shift the TV unit to bedroom. Also the room we booked clearly says sofa bed, but they didnt give us extra blanket or bedsheet or pillow - wtf !!! They want us to pay 💰. This hotel is going down the drain .. weekata next to it is much better - we tried it in the past but not sure now because both same ownership

地理位置不错，711蛮近的，酒店有固定去海滩的班车，需要提前预约，还是蛮方便的。已经是第二次入住了。唯一的遗憾是没有给去年那样的转角大房间。

暂时没有，另外就是酒店的WIFI每次外出回来后，需要从新输入用户名和密码。其他还好。

The location

Too noisy due to ongoing construction. Also the bed is like sleeping on a floor. The mattress is way too hard.

1- مسبح الفندق طلعت منه راسي كله يعني التنظيف سي 2 - النت كل مره يطلب رقم سري 3- حصل مشخ بسيط في كرسي المطبخ لايرى الا بمكبر طلب تعويض 2000 بات بحط صورت المشخ 4 - سكنت في فوكت اماكن افضل منه وهذا اسوى تجربه

Два года подряд жили в этой гостинице по две недели. Главный плюс этого места - это кухня в номере. Для семей с детьми на Kata beach в этой ценовой категории лучше не найти. Из плюсов также отмечу: хорошие чистые бассейны, безопасность на территории, везде камеры, дружелюбный персонал, вкусный кофе и коктейли.

Хотелось бы, чтобы руководство уделило внимание качеству уборки в номерах, она посредственная. Также завтраки достаточно однообразные, ходили на завтрак без энтузиазма.

Its right in the kata biz district. Walkable to the market, night alley and if you are adventurous enough, even to the beach

Room is a bit small but its an acceptable tradeoff Quiet hours are from 10pm - 8am but rooms next to us had activity all night and if you sleep in the hall it will bother you

Hotel em remodelações mas com boas condições. Perto da praia 10 minutos a pé e praia numa zona sossegada. Pequeno almoço nao tem muita escolha mas nao estava mau. Funcionários prestáveis e disponíveis a ajudar.

Tudo ótimo. Café da manhã muito bom, comodidades, piscina, academia, apartamento família super conf e staff muito bom.

Não é tão pertinho da praia.

Отдыхали в Grand Kata VIP всей семьёй и остались очень довольны! Отель современный, чистый и уютный. Номер был просторный, с кухней, большим балконом и всем необходимым для комфортного проживания. Особенно хочется отметить персонал — все сотрудники очень доброжелательные, улыбчивые и всегда готовы помочь. Уборка проводилась ежедневно и качественно. Завтраки были вкусными и разнообразными. Порадовало наличие нескольких бассейнов, где всегда можно было спокойно отдохнуть. Расположение отеля отличное: до пляжа Ката можно дойти пешком за 10–15 минут, рядом находятся ночной рынок, магазины, кафе, массажные салоны и 7-Eleven. Это очень удобно. Спасибо Grand Kata VIP за прекрасный отдых! С удовольствием вернёмся сюда снова и будем рекомендовать этот отель друзьям и знакомым.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. I truly loved the size of the room—it felt spacious, comfortable, and just right for relaxing after a long day. The room was also very clean, and the facilities were excellent. Everything I needed was available and well maintained. The location is absolutely perfect. It’s extremely convenient—just about 1 minute away from 7/11 and nearby laundry services. The hotel is surrounded by plenty of restaurants and massage shops, so there are lots of options for food and self-care nearby. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, which made my stay even more enjoyable.

I like the cleanliness, the layout, the whole hotel is beautiful. The staff is very friendly and they can speak English, and the location is quite good near the beaches and near lots of shops and markets

The rooms are beautiful, very modern and well laid out. The only issue is electric plugs is on the wrong places, very difficult to charge your phone while eating or watching TV or sleeping next to the bed. There’s no plugs near the beds far across the room on the other side. The thinking didn’t go into the planning when it came to charging phones and having plugs easily accessible for visitors and guests

We had the room with the plunge pool and it was an excellent way for my disabled husband to cool down and relax after a long day. The room was nice and AC worked well.

Lots of noise from construction still.

I really liked the rooms and the decor. The living area being separate from the bedroom was great, because it removed the tv from the room. The bathroom was fantastic, full size bath was great.

I didn’t like that the fridge was so small.

Personnel qui oublie souvent lors du nettoyage de chambre le savon, brosse à dents etc À coté de la plage, mais c’est une plage sale donc impossible de se baigner (l’eau est marron à cause des eaux usées rejetées par les hôtels, les constructions autour de la plage et les habitations de kata) Personnel courtois mais pas plus sympathique que ça

Konumunu, çalışanlarının güler yüzlü ve sevecen olmalarını, olanaklarını beğendik. Ve temizdi. Balayında olduğumuzu bildiklerinden yatağımızın üzerini çok hoş bir şekilde süslemişlerdi. Ek olarak, konumu sayesinde güzel yemek/alışveriş pazarları bulabildik ve hem Kata hem de Karon sahillerine ulaşımı oldukça kolay. Her ikisine de yürüme mesafesinde. Odada iki klima vardı, odayı soğutma açısından başarılıydı.

Oda servisi çok kötüydü. Banyoda biten ihtiyaç eşyalarının yerine yenisi konmuyordu. Sabun yoktu mesela. İhtiyaç eşyaları da oldukça sınırlıydı, örneğin diş fırçası/macunu yoktu. Oda içi koltuğu konforsuzdu.

인셉션에 처음으로 맞아준 직원이 가방도 직접 방까지 옮겨주고 방안내도 해주고 코너 디럭스룸에서 투베드룸으로 업그레이드도 받고 체크인 할때 부터 기부니가 좋았어요.전자렌지도 있고 인덕션이랑 주방기구도 있어서 한국음식 생각날때 신라면 끓여먹기 좋았어요.주방도 깔끔하게 유지 됩니다.수영장 물이 너무 깨끗해서 더 좋았네요.많이 깊지도 않았어요.강추합니다.가성비짱입니다!카타비치까지 걸어서 쬐꼼 걷긴 해야하지만 도로가라 아이들 여러명 데리고 가긴 쫌 위험하지만 갈만했어요.파도타기 진짜 재밌어요.4박동안 너무 편하게 잘 먹고 잘 쉬고 갑니다.

체크아웃 하는날 찍은 사진이라 너무 지저분하네요;;방은 깨끗 합니다ㅋ

Las piscinas están muy bien. El personal es muy amable, agua y café a diario en la habitación y toallas para piscina y playa.

Las habitaciones son pequeñas, algunas no tienen ventana lo que impide la ventilación natural. El aire acondicionado no enfría lo suficiente.

Отличный отель для отдыха. Жили всей семьей и остались очень довольны. Свежие и чистые номера, уборка каждый день, приветливый и отзывчивый персонал. Хорошие бассейны, детям понравились. До пляжа Ката можно дойти пешком за 10 мин не спеша, рядом много кафе, есть рынок с едой и фруктами. С удовольствием остановились бы здесь снова.

Un hotel molto pulito e nuovo. La camera era sempre impeccabile. Personale molto gentile. Posizione ottima a 7 minuti dalla spiaggia.

L’unico problema è che ci sono dei lavori proprio di fronte all’hotel e ci hanno dato una camera con il balcone che affacciava proprio lì quindi sentivamo molto rumore

It was a newer, well upkeep property.

Lots of noise, mainly from construction. Being by the pool was not that pleasant.

Bon emplacement

Easy parking at the basement. Walking distance to the night market. Nearby 24hour convenience stores. Plenty of shops opposite and beside the hotel (Tailors, Thai Massage, Pharmacy, Fast food etc)

Received a strange message from the Hotel a few days before my stay, that I had to reconfirm the booking or else they would cancel the stay. This was not right as I had already fully paid. The Hotel did apologise in an email reply explaining that it was a purported 'standard' message. I feel Hotels should not be sending such messages as 'standard' message. It creates unnecessary anxiety to visitors.

Полотенца не белые, застиранные. Было очень шумно, так как рядом велись строительные работы, которые начинались с очень раннего утра.

Herkes çok güler yüzlü, Yardımcı olmaya çalışıyorlar. Plaja ve night markete yakınlığı çok başarılı

I like very much! it is nice, it makes my wife very happy therefore she no beat me. Very nice Gymnasiums and swimming bath. Happy time.

Location is fantastic for kids as the area isnt over run by weed shops. Possibly quieter than other streets but still noisy. The appartment was clean and more spacious than expected. Pools were good as they were quite empty. No mozzie bites so the hotel is generallt clean.

Quite noisy from day (building works.....I appreciate you are expanding) to night. I didnt like the 5th floor pool breathing in metal and dust from the building works when the wind blew towards the pool. Hotel should close part of the pool or hotel and discount it rather than not telling anyone. Very disappointed.

מיקום מעולה. חדר כושר טוב עם מזגן טוב, יש מספיק משקולות ומכונות. ארוחת בוקר הייתה טובה.

בחדר הכושר אין מגבות ואין מתקן למים. בבריכה יש מזנון אך לרוב אין שם איש צוות זמין.

Location was excellent and bed was very comfortable. The one bedroom apartment I was in had everything I needed.

Breakfast needed more variety I think. Quite close to a busy street - some guests can be a bit noisy. Thankfully I brought my earplugs so I could still sleep despite the noise. TV needed instructions to change language back to English (it was in Russian) - but I managed with Google and a translation app on my phone.

Overall good location

Breakfast was bland. I ordered eggs as soon as they opened at 7 am and they were completely cold. I felt they had been made the previous day.

קיבלנו חדר גדול שמורכב בעצם מ2 חדרים ופינת ישיבה. היה מטבח מאובזר , ומרפסת. הגודל של החדר היה נוח מאוד. ארוחת הבוקר הייתה בסדר היו חביתות , ביצים, גבינות וירקות . המקום נמצא מספר צעדים משוק הלילה וממול יש מכבסה .

ביקשו 3000 באט פיקדון לחדר שזה הכי גבוה שביקשו מאיתנו בתאילנד . השאטלים לחוף הים לא היו פעילים. ולא היה בחדר מעמד למיזוודות .שמנו את המזוודה על השיש במטבח .

The rooftop pool was great Loved the water jet massage in the pool Breakfast staff very friendly Room was excellent with small kitchen.

The dinners were on hold, usually great value Cooking utensils in room very basic Happy hour finished at 4pm, whilst brochure said 5pm

Le balcon sans vue et avec la chaleur des 2 blocs externe de clim mais c'est cohérent avec le prix de la chambre

L’emplacement, les équipements, l’amabilité du personnel et la propreté

Best hôtel ! Proche de tout à 6min de Kata Beach, 16min de Karon beach, lit big size, l’aménagement de la chambre juste parfait avec petite cuisine, balcon, la salle de bain vraiment je recommande 100%, la piscine et la salle de musculation et le personnel adorable !
