Fabulous host, very comfortable room, very good breakfast. Well renovated property.

Lack of access from rear of property made it a lengthy walk with luggage if parking in street at front of property not available.

I loved the bold colourful exotic breakfast room

The bedroom wallpaper was rather over dramatic for a piece full nights sleep.

Location was a perfect fit for our purpose in visiting Hawick. Room was very clean and comfortable.

The basin was very small - but Donna did warn me at the time of booking that the ensuite was small. It didn’t spoil our lovely stay!

The room and bed were great.the breakfast was good it gave me a good start to the day. And nothing was to much trouble when asking for something.

As we are not to fussy we was quite happy with the service and Donna is a lovely person who will do anything for you.

Parn was very friendly / welcoming & made a lovely Breakfast , the accommodation was Amazing I was stunned at the staircase & size of the property ( just bare in mind it's not suitable for ppl with walking or breathing difficulties) in a fantastic location in the main St Close to pubs , restaurants & shops , very friendly locals

We stayed here for 3 nights over the August bank holiday week and was well looked after by Parn. Nothing was too much trouble, she cooked us an amazing breakfast to order each morning. She tidied our room during the days when we were out. Would absolutely stay again, the decor was beautiful and the rooms nice and big.

Showers could be bigger, and bedrooms certainly had room for larger beds.

Breakfast gorgeous, room so clean , spacious and comfortable, the host was away, but Pani was a credit to the place, very welcoming and always smiling 😃 Thanku .

Sehr nette Gastgeberin, tolle Unterkunft, nicht ganz so einfach zu finden. Super Frühstück, schönes Städtchen. Wenn wir Schottland wieder angehen, würden wir gerne wieder dort Quartier machen.

We stayed overnight on a cycling tour and were able to securely store the bikes inside. The room was comfortable and clean with a great shower. Breakfast was very good.

The breakfast was good and a great host

Walls were thin so you can hear what’s going on in the bathroom next door. Then toilet flush was loud. Unfortunately we had a room that fronted the main street and the road noise was not great. Just a side note, to access the property, don’t use the notes on booking.com to use the rear entrance. Just ring the doorbell on the front door, that shows NO SIGNAGE of the guest house.

The stairs were a problem for my elderly father. Took a little bit of time to get up.

Parn was our hostess, she was so helpful and friendly, nothing was a trouble for her. She cooked us an amazing breakfast in the gorgeous breakfast room the following morning. The room was beautfully decorated and very spacious and comfortable. We had everything we needed for a delightful stay. Thanks Parn

Very central with comfortable rooms. Very quirky decorations and furnishings make the guesthouse very appealing. The delightful Pam made us feel very welcome and cooked a delicious Big Bank Breakfast for us.

I absolutely loved the decor. Beauitful place. Amazing breakfast and loved the old jukebox which the beautiful Pam let us play. She was the friendliest lady ever. Lovely lady from Thialand. Wish i had boked for longer. Will definately stay again.

I stayed in Hawick for an overnight stop whilst travelling on my motorcycle on a 1,600 mile Scotland trip. Due to a slight mix up in communications I had a little difficulty in initially finding my way into the property BUT the mix up was mainly down to me not picking up a couple of helpful voice mails messages that Donna the owner had left for me on my phone. It was only a minor issue and I went onto enjoy my stay at The Bank House. My room was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and all in all I had everything I needed for my overnight stay. I was able to park my motorcycle in an area to the back of the property and it always felt perfectly secure. The breakfast room is superb – it’s unusually decorated and even has an old and working jukebox in the corner. The cooked breakfast was superb magnificently presented, and Donna is a first class host. I would happily stay at The Bank House if travelling that way again

There wasn't really anything I didn’t like. As I have already said I would be happy to stay there again if travelling that way.

Amazing big bedroom, beautifully decorated with brilliant shutters which make it nice and dark and comfy bedding, lots of lovely little touches- everything has been thought of! Donna was an extremely welcoming host and works very hard.

The only downside was some slight noise from a local bar/nightclub but i was tired anyway so still slept well.

A lovely spacious, comfortable room. The B&B is well placed on the high street but the rooms are on the second floor, away from any noise. Donna is friendly and cooked a great breakfast. We were able to store our bicycles securely in the hall.

Donna was so easy to work with and Paula was just the same. The Bank Guesthouse is lovely and each room is different. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. It is in a perfect central location. If we go back to Hawick, this is where we’ll be staying.

A handwash was lacking in the bathroom but I think that was an oversight as everything else was top notch, the tea tray, the shampoo etc I’m sure if I remembered and mentioned to Donna she would have had one placed in the room straight away

Unique venue, on the high street, personable and fun host.

Absolutely loved everything about our stay here. From arriving until departure the host, Donna was helpful and pleasant, advising us where we could eat in the evening after a long and tiring day. We had a beautiful spacious room that had everything we needed for our stay. A realky comfortable bed with beatiful quality bedding. Breakfast was plentiful and beautifully cooked and served in an amazing and beautiful dining room. A relaxed atmosphere with good conversation. Will definitely be back.

Bank Guesthouse is a hidden gem on the Hawick High Street. Situated in the centre of town you have access to all amenities, in our case the beautiful outdoors of the Borders. Donna is a very welcoming host, and we felt very well looked after. She has attention to detail to lift the experience to the next level. Entering the room and breakfast room you can't help a "wow" escape you, marvelling at her decorative skills. She also provided a tasty breakfast and we would happily stay again.

The shower is on the small side, not an issue for us but could be a bit tight for someone larger.

Spacious and clean room with two comfortable arm chairs. Coffee bags were provided which are a nice addition rather than instant coffee. We appreciated the knives and forks provided if you want to get a takeaway. Great breakfast in nicely decorated room Friendly host.

Room was great however you need to navigate the stair case (3+ flights) to get to it. We stayed on a Saturday night and due to the street facing location the room was quite noisy until the early hours of the morning.

The location was fab and the spa was lovely.

When we initially walked in, the lobby had an unusual smell - it smelled a bit like a toilet, sadly. Once we got to our room it was OK, however there were a number of stains on our carpet - it didn't feel very clean. The shower was a little tempermental and the hairdryer in the room packed-in while I was half way through using. Someone did come up with a replacement, but took them half an hour, by which point we had to leave for dinner. The bed wasn't very comfortable and the breakfast staff were quite slow. I was expecting more given the price we paid. The spa was nice, although we won't be coming back.

Breakfast was unavailable as the host was going on holiday so discounted breakfast from room.

The room was very nice. Good shower. Comfy chairs and nice layout. Very comfortable mattress. Felt very private.Varied breakfast available in a beautifu dining room overlooking the street. Very comfortable and felt well suited to the town and its surroundings.

The Duvet was a bit heavy weight and the pillows both the same and a bit overfilled so difficult to vary height for sleeping. Very narrow winding stairs to top room and light sensor went off quite quickly.

The minute you walk through the front door of this hotel you think am I in the right place, up the staircase to the rooms is like a family home with lovely decorated walls and wallpaper and quirky bits of furniture, our room faced out to Main Street , with a 4 poster bed with the most comfiest mattress and Egyptian cotton duvet , again decorated to a very unusual standard for a hotel more like my own bedroom lots of beautiful bits of furniture to finish off the dressing of the room , especially the very comfortable sofa , the bathroom again was not like a hotel bathroom, , working shutters on the windows for extra darkness , we went to wedding got drunk came home slept amazing woke up still a bit drunk, went downstairs for breakfast to be met by our host , the amazing host by the way , single handed runs the hotel cleans cooks , well when you meet her Donna will make you feel like you’ve known her for ages, , you walk in to dining room , WOW decorated unlike any hotel furnished like no hotel , Donna has done up this (boutique) hotel beautifully and you can tell she takes much pride in the way it looks all to her own personal fine little touches, , I had a peak through doorway to her kitchen , again it’s like a big family home , Donna the host owner treats you like family, cooks a wonderful breakfast, with the table decorated like we were having a family party , it’s just amazing

If I write anything on this section I’ve got to admit, it would be untrue , probably only thing I disliked was leaving to come home

Would have been 10 out of 10 but I did not realise there were two flights of stairs to climb.

The scrambled egg was in edible I asked for white bread toast and got brown so didnt eat any of it. I asked for a yoghurt.

One had to gain entrance by a large straight onto the pavement door which at the time was very much hindered by works directly outside the building.

Donna was a marvellous host. Her homemade breakfast was delicious, and she made every e feel welcome. the room was spacious and well appointed.

It was difficult to find at first, and the internet was very unreliable.
