Room 4 is extremely noisy it is above the bar so had music and noise till around 11 then the road noise was really loud right outside the window

I had a very comfortable, well-equipped room where I had a really sound sleep prior to my flight the following morning. Everything I needed was there for the duration of my stay. I also dined in the restaurant and had a very nice meal accompanied by a refreshing glass of a local beer.

The water pressure in the shower was somewhat intermittent.

Nice and clean, very close to the airport. Also very good food at the pub. The room for three people is a little bit small but we managed. The double bed is more suitable for two slim people.

The staff were really nice and smiley+ the bed was well comfy.

Excellent location for the airport. Worth the money to stay over before an early morning flight Stayed there the night before a 0400 check in. Arrived and found the staff on the bar to be very friendly and accommodating. Young chap took the time to show us to our room and explained the process of an early check out. Room was spotless. We had a meal and to be honest we were pleasantly surprised, it was very nice. One negative is the cost of a bottle of Chardonnay, but then again what isn’t expensive in this day and age. Would definitely stay again. Tip: We both had steak and it was very nice.

We were charged £25 for checking in after 11pm. They told us about this, after we had booked the hotel and we had 5 days to check in., but looking through reviews this was £20 in February .. that's some inflation. Also the staff were still in the bar when we arrived after our flight was delayed, it made a reasonable stay expensive. Also the check in experience was giving us keys and explains to self check out. This could be a lock box and a text message not costing £25. There was no body soap in the shower - the container was bone dry, I found the water pressure low. Also the skylight was awkward to close the blind. .

The proximity of the property to the airport was what got me.

The bathroom was neat but you can’t wash your feet in the shower except you have to open the door, the shower space is so small that you cannot turn around. And then no staff around after the bar or restaurant closes, if you need water(which they generously offer) or help after hours you are on your own.

Had a brief but fantastic stay here before a flight last week. The location, the food, and the room were great, the staff were fantastic. Absolutely perfect location for the airport, would not hesitate recommending the White Swan to anyone needs a warm, welcoming place to stay before a flight or otherwise.

Had the very top room which was very stuffy. Can hear other residents at times but that would not put me off from ever staying again. Like I said,just minimal noise.

We had no idea that our allocated room was under the roof, with no windows, only a small skylight with a maximum two-inch aperture. Being a summer booking, with 35 Celsius degree outside, the room became dangerously overheated by the end of the afternoon, not withstanding a small, inefficient fan standing in a corner of the room at the opposite end of the bed. We brought the issue with the staff (not so overtly concerned with the situation) who eventually offered us a battery, handheld plastic fan. We spent the evening outside walking the streets venting ourselves. Back to the hotel just before midnight, a staff finally offered us a large, electrically powered fan. We slept a total of three hours.

Traditional Inn by a lovely cricket ground. How Yorkshire is that!? Super small town of Yeadon. Tastefully decorated and well-appointed room. Very clean. No noise from bar area could be heard in room. Easy travel to airport (not flying this trip but noted for future use).

Very minor observation: Weather was 20degrees C and we could cool room by opening window but last week's 30 degrees might have been oppressive without a fan (maybe one would be available on request).

A very cramped, windowless, loft room. A tiny Velux window in the roof that only opened about an inch on a scorching hot night. The room was tiny so we had to sleep with the bathroom door open to try and get a breeze from the tiny Velux window in there.

We were given earplugs on arrival, which should have been the first warning. There was a private party downstairs and although the music stopped at midnight the noise continued into the early hours. We had a 4 a.m. start, so the lack of sleep completely defeated the purpose of staying near the airport.

The stairs with luggage. Also the aircraft noise at 6:00am. The shower needs repairing as hot and cold whilst showering and the sink needs drain cleaner as it gets blocked.

The bar and restaurant were very nice. It is a traditional Yorkshire pub. The food was lovely in the restaurant and an average price.

We had 2 large suitcases with us and our room was on the second floor. As there isn’t as lift in the building a member of staff carried them up the stairs for us. When we left at 4.30am we couldn’t carry the cases all the way down the steep stairs as we both have back problems, so we had to slide them down the stairs, trying not to wake everyone up! Maybe if you are in full health this is not a problem, but it was difficult for us.

Expensive for a room in a pub. Most of the time there's no one on site if you need anything. No breakfast offered.

It was pretty cold in the room when I arrived. Luckily there was a small heater to save the situation but it takes time to warm the room up. The water stream in the shower was pretty weak and not too warm either.

We stayed in room 7. The shower was unusable. Freezing cold, but if the temperature dial was moved fractionally, boiling hot. Completely uncontrollable. Had quite a nice meal but chips tasted precooked and reheated

The stay was very disappointing and not worth the money. The shower was unusable due to extremely low pressure and impossible temperature control. The room was also cold, with ineffective heating. There were maintenance issues (broken towel holder), and access involved multiple steep stairs which was not clearly communicated. Overall, I would not stay again.

The room, especially the bed was perfect.

Check-in was poorly managed. On arrival, the bar was full of a large group, and guests checking in had to wait while all bar customers were served first. There was no clear or separate check-in process. The room did not match the description. The “extra large double bed” was in fact a standard double (approximately 135cm). The pillows were also very flat and uncomfortable. The main issue was a broken skylight blind which would not close. This was reported, but staff were unable to fix it. We were told that there was nothing they could do for us, but they would be charging the last customer for the 'damage'. In reality it was probably just a cheap blind. As a result of the skylight being broken, the room could not be darkened and one guest did not sleep at all, while the other had a very poor night’s sleep. Despite raising this after the stay, the response was disappointing. A small partial refund was offered, which did not reflect the impact of the issue. We also contacted Booking.com, but they did not assist in resolving the matter and had more concerns over their partnership with the hotel. Overall, the stay did not meet basic expectations of a hotel, particularly in terms of comfort and sleep.
