Sac Xanh Homestay

Excellent room at the minimal price and staff feels like family.

Bathroom has broken tile.

Staff very friendly, location away from tourists traps . Price lika a long time arrangement.

Nice place, nice room, nice hosts. Liked it all.

Nothing, but price could be lower. We got way better deals in Da lat. Hosts gave us bikes to ride around, bikes were shit and too small for europeans but you get them for free. So no complains on that front.

Cái gì cũng k thích

Sát giờ hủy phòng Mình complain thì nói năng thái độ rất thách thức Mọi người tránh xa chỗ này nhé They cancel at the end, just on time I receive the room They also use impolite words to communicate with me Please stay away fron this home

The rooms are clean and there is a terrace.

The bikes on the road stop running only late at night. The kitchen has problems with cleanliness.

The place was practical. You get free bikes and the staff was very helpful. We had issues booking out train ticket for the next morning and they helped us out. I’d say it’s a fair clean place, not too cozy but a good place if you have a tight budget.

Habitació àmplia, amb llum natural, aire condicionat i nevera.

The family is kind of nice, but the room is dependent which one you get, the upstairs are really nice but the downstairs was not that nice.

check in advance what time they lock the doors and fence as they lock me outside the fence! when I come back at night this was very scary for me.

Nice clean rooms and property, nice terrace and balcony, position okay just outside old town area

Outside traffic noise

The owners were very friendly and allowed early check-i.

Hosts were amiable. The free bicycle usage enabled us to go to many places. Water dispenser provided the convenience of potable water. Winmart and provision shops are nearby.

Rats scurrying on the ceiling at night. The soap provided was tiny and had no foam, so we bought 2 soap bars for our 3 weeks sojourn. Water pressure from shower was rather weak.

Very big room with a comfortable bed. We could check in before the "normal" time, what made us very happy. Friendly staff. About half an hour to walk to the old Town

Clean and basic room, which all what it needed. The water pressure in the shower was a little low. Free bikes for rental which we used a lot, note that the bikes are really old and not in a great shape.

Nothing to complain except for the state of the bikes

-Friendly staff -Let us check in early after our overnight bus -Filtered water available -Owner made us tea and gave us fruit one day

-Piddly little shower, no pressure, certainly no chance of washing hair properly, also runs cold. They did fix the temperature for us however the pressure was still an issue. Appreciate their help though!

Amazing value!!! For the price, you can't complain (basic room and bathroom but as I said it was great for the price) Also lovely staff :)

Nothing...

I do not recommend! Do not book, do not stay overnight. I booked via booking. In the evening before arrival, I received information that there was no room available and they only had a worse one. As it was already late, I decided on this option (the evening before the trip). In the morning I asked what time I could check in and I received an answer. I arrive at the hotel and hear that there is no room available. The service was not nice, not helpful, terrible.

Comfortable place, friendly family. We were happy with everything, the owner was nice, made several times tea for us. Location near old city, free bicycles.

Late check in Free bicycles 🚲 Friendly staff Good air conditioning

No possibility to look in the window Strange bedsheet material

Super spacious, clean and friendly staff

I dont mind that it was further from the city. I like to walk and have more quiet.

Very friendly and helpful owners. Bicycle for free. You get what you paid

The room was really basic, everything needs a renovation

We stayed for 5 nights. Nice, clean and quite big room with good AC. Comfy bed, TV and refrigerator. Great location. Really nice and helpful owners. They have motorbikes and bicycles and they can arrange you a transport etc. Overall really good place to stay in Hoi An!

All good.

Really lovely place to stay with extremely comfy beds. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Even made us breakfast on the morning that we had to leave super early as we didn't have time to get any before heading off. Nice hot showers and fresh towels through out our stay. Good location. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing

let us in at 4am

Great place to stay in Hoi An. It is a little outside of the old town, but the free bikes are great, and we used them every day. The rooms were fine, but the best part about this place is how kind the owners are.

Very Nice en small place. The owners are very friendly, and the breakfast is good. We Stayed here 2 nights, and used the free bicycles alot. The Day we checked out, we came back to wait 2 Hours until a bus came. In these 2 hours, the owner led us stay in a room, and have a shower for free. Very Nice place, and would clearly recommend

We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. We arrived at 6 am and they let us early check in with no extra fee! The breakfest is really good and changes everymorning. The rooms are spacious and a.c. works well. The free bike rental is great but make sure to check out the bike before taking it. The staff is extremely nice and will help you with anything. You can go the the beach by bike and to the town also.

Cannot recommend this homestay enough! Staff were very friendly and accommodating, free breakfast each morning was outstanding! Beautiful big rooms, private bathrooms, we were upstairs and had a stunning balcony surrounded by greenery and flowers (perfect for our fruit platter and bottle of wine). Free bikes with bike locks, the homestay is a simple 5 minute ride to the Ancient Town and the night markets. Reception also handles other bookings, the woman helped us get flights from Da Nang to Saigon and even organised private airport transfer from the homestay. Would reccommend for couples or small groups looking to get away from hostels for a few nights, or families needing a few beds for a great price!

We liked Hoi An so much that we stayed two weeks and the Green/ Sac Xanh Homestay was just right. The rooms are clean and spacious, have A/C, hot water, TV (not really a necessity but hey) and good wifi. Breakfast was delicious and different every morning, included fruits (yummy) and they catered for vegetarians too. Filtered water and free bicycles to use are a welcome bonus and much appreciated. The area is residential, away from the busy centre so much quieter. The old centre is 30min walk or 10min bike ride and riding the bike through the chaotic Vietnamese traffic is a scary but interesting experience. Just do as the locals do and you'll be fine. The beach is 20min bike ride (recommended) and there is a quieter and picturesque way through the rice fields which you'll enjoy more than the main road (it's simple to navigate ... Just look on google map or ask the host). Oh, and while at the beach, if you are looking for a quieter place, go about 200m to the right from the main entrance and enjoy at the Phuong 'restaurant' (First after an empty stretch of beach). The family running it is absolutely lovely and caring, they do great food and the prices are so cheap compared to all other places. Deck chairs and umbrellas come free when you have some food or/and drink. You can even cycle there instead of parking at the main entrance to the An Bang beach. Your homestay hosts are a nice caring family too and they can also help with any bookings, etc you might need. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for 4 nights and were absolutely blown away, couldn't believe the value for money! Check-in time is at 2pm however our bus arrived in Hoi An at 7am. We went straight to the homestay to leave our luggage and were greeted by a lovely woman. She gave us green tea and had a nice chat with us, apologising the room wasn't ready and said it would be ready by 12 (even though check-in isn't until 2). She gave us lots of ideas of things to do and even asked us if we were allergic to anything so that she could cater our breakfast to any requirements! When we arrived back at 12 the room was indeed ready and it was lovely. Very clean, fantastically comfortable beds (I've lived in Vietnam for 10 months so I was not expecting this!), hot showers and AC. As for the breakfast...WOW! Traditional Vietnamese food and absolutely fantastic. The breakfasts varied each day and we had vegetable curry soup, veg, noodles and egg and a noodle soup accompanied with fruit. The homestay is also about a 10 minute walk away from Old Town so a perfect location. Really can't recommend this homestay enough, lovely staff, lovely rooms, lovely breakfast and a lovely price!

Incredibly reasonable price, only a short 10 minute walk from old town. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room was very clean and big with ac and an en suite with a hot shower. Helped us book anything we wanted to see. Breakfast was delicious and different every day, highly recommend for the price and quality. Absolute bargain, will stay again when visiting hoi an. The double bed was also extremely comfy which is always welcome!

Stayed for just the 1 night, was a beautiful home! Room was clean bathroom on the small side but has everything you need they got us a motorbike for cheap and booked us a bus. Free bikes and breakfast. Wifi wasn't amazing in our room.

Me and my brother were travelling Vietnam for 3 weeks and had one of our best experiences in Hoi An. The City is amazing, so is the Sac Lo Homestay. Bex and Lyna are veryy eager to make your Hoi An experience the best. They helped us with everything, they booked our cooking class, showed us the best beach and recommended us an awesome taylor. The breakfast was very good and in the evening Bex organised dinner for the all guests! I would totally go back there!

If you are looking for a peaceful, clean and cheap guesthouse Sac Xiang is the place to go! The price includes breakfast and free bicycle rental. The rooms are small but super clean and include a mini fridge, hot water and ac. The family that runs the place is very nice and they help you with everything you need. I would definitely go again!

What a pleasant stay in Hoi An by this wonderful family ! We stayed around 2 weeks in Hoi An in May and they make this stay so really different and wonderful ! This family was so helpful with us, and the situation of their homestay is really good: not so far from the old quarter and not so far from the beach because they offer a free rental bicycle for all of your moves in Hoi An ! The house is so quietful, far away from the beautiful but noisy center ! Lucie and I wanted to thank you the whole family for their welcome and for their patience and help! We can just recommand you the place ! If we go back in Hoi An, we will stay again in this place that stays in our heart ! Thank you ! Amaury and Lucie

Away from the hustle of the ancient town, this place is 5min ride from it (you can use their bikes for free during your stay !), clean and the staff is lovely ! The breakfast is included and is changing everyday : very tasty andways includes some fruit !

Me and the Mrs ended up staying here for near enough a week! Nice clean homestay for a very good price! Ideal location between the busy town area and beach! Free bikes which is a bonus! Clean room and bathroom... Apart from the occasional ant!

If you want to stay with a Vietnamese family this is your hotel. Room basic but clean, with AC and fridge. Bathroom is new. They made us feel like at home. Deliciuos traditional vietnamise breakfast. They offer us tours but they don't push you, we really appreciate this. I don't give them 5 starts because the terrace door and window have small gaps so there are mosquitos inside the room at night. Room has a very professional mosquito net but is a little bit uncomfortable when you go to the toilet or you need something from outside of bed. In this city there are a lot of mosquitos (wet season), so buy a good repellent. Don't go out without repellent. They have the most confortable bed!!!

My husband and I stayed at Sac Xanh and we were so impressed by the hospitality. We were treated very well by the staff and the rooms were comfortable and clean. We did not need the mosquito nets but it might be the time of year. We would recommend this if you are easy going and want a good room for a good price. Includes free bikes and breakfast.

We arrived around 6 am and were immediately allowed to enter our room, although official check in time is noon or 2pm. The hotel is a little out of the center. Without the free bikes it is a bit of a walk. However, An Bang beach is a 20 minute cycle away, and it is really nice to have a dive before sunset. The hotel offers nice, clean rooms for $25 including breakfast (for a family, five persons). Good value for money. The daughter is the one who speaks english best and she helped us to get to the Marble Mountains by local transport. The bus station is 400 m away from the homestay.

We had an amazing stay at this lovely little homestay. Very, very friendly hostess, nice house and all around very relaxed atmosphere. Great help with bookings, tips about the area and always offering free drinks. Definitely recommended!

Beautiful and comfortable house run by a warm-hearted and very kind family (they provided free tea all day long and even let us check out later as my friend got sick and needed a bed to rest). They care a lot about their guests and you feel that you are welcome. Rooms are modern and nicely furnished, warm water, nice balcony, awesome breakfast. Free bicycles available to head into town (although it's also a nice walk to the city centre). I highly recommend to stay here.

This is a very little guesthouse, probably only 5 rooms. Rooms were quite nice, ensuite bathroom. A little noisy because of the thin walls. The family doesn't speak much English, but enough to book a bus and get along just fine. They have bikes for free! In the suroundings you can't find a lot of food - there is one restaurant though, which is close by and serves a very good barbecue(don't remember the name..) They offer free breakfast every morning, you sit down and are served a different every day. Very, very good breakfast! Tea and Coffee is provided as well. Very nice! Wifi is okay, enough for quick Skype call. We enjoyed our stay here very much! The only downside were our sheets, which had a lot of stains and a strange smell. After we first complained about the stains she said it is from washing only..which was okay. The smell however was horrible but she got new ones after another complain which very okay.

Very nice staff, breakfast at whatever time suits you, breakfast was rather basic but it was nice enough as long as you are not too fussy, very helpful, a bit of a walk from the old town but cheap enough in a taxi or use the free push bikes provided :-)
